hey I'm ABC13 chief meteorologist Travis Herzog and we've got our eye on the gulf as Francine is destined to become The Season's next hurricane already an eye is forming and visible on the radar from Brownsville this is expected to work its way northward overnight and then turn northeastward as a category one or two hurricane as it brushes our Coastline Tuesday night Wednesday morning then makes landfall most likely in Louisiana on Wednesday afternoon we got tropical storm watches for most of our Coast a warning out just to our East and a hurricane warning for Coastal Louisiana greatest impacts will be along the coast 2 to 4 inches of rain expected tropical storm Forest winds will be possible with gust over 50 a storm surge tide of 1 to three feet but the greatest impacts coming Tuesday night Wednesday morning from Houston northward it should be minimal impacts and mostly manageable
