Well, exciting news today for the DMV and women's soccer. The tallest member of the Commander's ownership group is bringing his magic to the Washington Spirit basketball legend, Magic Johnson is now part owner of D CS professional women's soccer team Magic along with spirit majority owner Michelle King making the big announcement on CBS mornings. They say this partnership goes beyond women's soccer. It's important that uh owners love to not only win on the field like Michelle does, but also in the community. That's why I, I'm so excited to be her partner. I also thank her for letting me be her partner. But I think when you look at both of us to minorities who uh try to uh climb the ladder first, uh in my sport is basketball and then transition to uh business. Uh I want to uh be an example for others to follow, right? And so um I wanna make sure that uh this sport uh women's soccer can grow and that I can do to help Michelle and these incredible women not only win on the field but win outside the field as well. To say there were all of us at the spirit and women's football, women's soccer in the US that we're incredibly honored to have magic be part of this community is probably an understatement. I think his success, legendary success on the basketball court um is something that everyone knows. But as you guys been talking about uh his involvement in mentoring young Children and providing um sort of the dreams and hopes to them is something just that no one can match. And we're just incredibly honored to have him as part of our community. Magic is now part owner of five professional sports teams. The Commanders, the Spirit, the Dodgers, the Los Angeles Sparks and the Los Angeles FC. The Spirit will host an event at IDA B Wells Middle School in DC to introduce Johnson to the team. He'll also be at this weekend's game against Portland Thorns FC at Audi Field.
