Hello, I'm nine news weather impacting meteorologist Kathy Saban and we have another warm summer day today, compliments of high pressure which has been pushing the storm track to the north, but a trough is approaching and also a cool front and that means cooler weather is coming with also a chance for some beneficial rain. All of the rain that will impact travel today is south of Colorado across New Mexico and central Texas. Our chance for rain will increase as we move into Wednesday, maybe even Thursday with this weather pattern shift, the heaviest showers as I mentioned that will impact travel over the next 24 hours will stay in central Texas and also over the northern plain states. But there is some much needed moisture coming to Colorado. Today will be mostly sunny and warm again. A couple of gusty foothill storms, but Denver stays dry with highs above average. In the low nineties, we start at 65 degrees temperatures in the sixties at the bus stop warming to the low nineties lunch time. And as we get into the late afternoon time period, temperatures could go even warmer as the winds increase out of the south ahead of a cool front that will bring us into the eighties on Wednesday and then also offer a chance of rain from storms, the coolest day of the week, Thursday with highs in the seventies and then comfortable weather conditions for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, partly sunny with highs in the mid eighties.
