to be the SoCal home of Wheel of Fortune we hope that you're having a great night are [Applause] you and I think it's going to get even better from here because this is not only an exciting night it's an exciting time for Wheel of Fortune because as you know the show's about to begin a whole new era on September 9th in just more than a week Ryan C Chris will join Vana White on the show and to Mark such a big occasion we wanted to do something equally as big so in just a few minutes we're going to light up the biggest wheel ever right here at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier but we can't do that without you two so welcome Ryan C and Van white the host of Wheel of Fortune and before I give you the mic I have a question for each of you okay start with Vanna I'm starting with you I this is an easy question because I know you love your job what makes you the happiest when you're shooting an episode of the show it's not a simple answer George it's not there's so many things that make me happy when I'm shooting an episode of Wheel of Fortune we've had the opportunity to do a few episodes now first of all I get to work with a friend of 20 years in Vana White we have known each other for such a long time and coming into this whole new world with people and a family that have been working on this show for so many years to have a friend to greet me was a real blessing so I will say that thank you for your kindness and lovely friendship in my wife secondly it makes me Happ to give away cash and prizes every single night to people we have had $114,000 we''ve had $80,000 we've had cars we've had everything that you get to see on the show you'll see in this new era it's the same game show just with a different person standing there in front of the wheel saying 750 there are two te's pretty much the same thing that's what makes me happy George they say on Family Feud good answer good answer vanny yours is a nice question I think spell the word that sums up what tonight is all about What word could that be there's so many words um just I'm grateful that you all are here this is exciting it's new I'm I cannot wait to see this wheel it up behind us let's do it I'll say that's
