hello and welcome to what should be a fantastic close to the Conference USA Football season it's the battle for the trophy as we Crown the champion of Conference USA right here today this is a surprising match up the proverbial David versus Kath A ranked versus an unranked team an opportunity to bring a major upset and build a legacy as we'll see a squad from Conference USA the Jacksonville State game cops taking on the 22nd ranked team the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 3A sports college football [Applause] I'm this line getting set up it's a first down play 55 offense will keep it on the ground here stop at the 36 that's good enough to Mo the sticks Chris I know it's the first play of the game but boy nice job by this offensive line the back gets behind him picks up some positive yards on the Run he's going to Chuck it deep deep ball is caught for a huge gain here this quarterback and this receiver are a matchup that's tough for any defense to match up with if I'm the defensive coordinator I got to start thinking about cheating a safety over against this guy to slow him down and not allow him to have such a big day throws to the tight end makes the catch downfield they bring him down but an explosive play by this offense big game fresh set it down to the offense first down 691 Gator here comes a throw from the Red Zone he finds the running back in the flat they've got him but that completion good enough for first down yardage the defense backed up against their own End Zone looking to Chuck it again pass po can he get in and he scores touchdown Bulldogs we've got a conference Championship on the line here what a start for the offense man I just want to give a lot of credit to the quarterback and the offensive line they really set the tone here on this drive allowing this offense to be able to make the plays that they needed to to give them this lead here [Music] early up here comes the Bulldogs offense back on the field the passing game was so effective in the last position right down for a touchdown we'll see if the defense can make adjustments he's moving out of the pocket the catch is made for a huge pick up takes it all the way to the house touchdown Louisiana Tech well a touchdown to a wide open man what in world was going on in the defensive side of that wow what was the defense thinking here you can't let a player roam free like that they just completely forgot about him and gifted him a touchdown got it offense operating from the pistol Cricket gives it to the back a change of Direction breaks a tackle on the play and makes a decent game great job by the offensive line here opening up some holes and giving the running back room to run on first down plays like this can open up the Play Book for the play caller allow him to make that defense think are they going to run maybe play action maybe throw the ball down field this one is broken up Falls incomplete it's third down for the [Applause] offense they snap it quarterback looking to throw the ball he pulls it in for a big game they bring him down but a big chunk of yardage on the play the offense operating at Peak efficiency they come to the line [Applause] again it's a shot gun run call tackled up near Midfield at the 48 that's just not a whole lot of options here for this quarterback on the RPO the defense give them credit they did a nice job of sniffing it out wouldn't be surprised if the quarterback is second guessing that decision of giving it to the back instead of pulling that and either running it himself or maybe making a nice throw after the incompletion they'll face a third and six here we go out of the shotgun he'll hand it off runs right over the defender the game picks up the first down tackled at the 37 I love this unconventional call by the offensive coordinator third and medium a lot of times you thinking about throwing the football but instead they're able to run the ball with great execution and they pick up the first down scrambling now he'll make the throw he's got it for a big game he to not stop him he's in touchdown Bulldogs boy the timing here is essential between a quarterback and a receiver you got to find that window between the linebackers he does it puts the ball right on the money and then how out the speed after the catch by the receiver for the [Music] [Applause] touchdown and the Louisiana Tech offense is back out on the field now they were clicking last time great protection the pitch and catch was solid right down for a touchdown hand off here from the shotgun gets some space around the 30 oh and he's in the clear now it's a foot race inside the 20 at the 10 now touchdown Louisiana 10 there was a foot race and he won it oh my what a great play call here by the offensive coordinator the running back received some great great blocking up front and just took off with it carving up this defense all the way to the end [Applause] zone offense comes out to start this Drive Ringo Ringo 42 spider 42 spider on first down it's play action bringing pressure finds a man open on the right side side downfield they got him at the 48 but that's a first down after the first play they're very close to Midfield already SP on First and 10 here looking to throw the ball he's looking to scramble breaks loose at the 40 heads out of bounds after a solid gain more than enough to pick up a first down well here's a quarterback that just takes control for himself picking up some nice yards when nothing else is there this guy's a real threat big chunk play this offense operating at Peak efficiency first down looking to throw the football and the defense says not again they wouldn't let him get loose for the scramble brought him down for a short gain second down play coming up for this offense there's the snap they'll set up to throw on the Run he'll let it go he's got it near the end zone tackle is made at the four it'll be first down and goal the offense locking on the door here with a first and goal quarterback sets up looking for an open man catch Made In The End Zone touchdown Bulldogs well that's a thing of beauty right there good job all around offensive line gave the quarterback enough time quarterback puts it right on the money and with this receiver running a route like this makes it pretty simple all he had to do is get his head turned around catch that football he's already in the end zone for the [Music] [Applause] touchdown here comes the Bulldogs offense back on the field this group has been clicking they really built momentum can the defense make adjustments come up with a stop here easy first play of the drive looking to throw the football using his legs on the scramble and an explosive play stop finally made across Midfield at the 44 man nothing is more aggravating for a defensive coordinator than this right here you've got him you got a chance to make a play on him take him out of his rhythm but instead looking for a deep completion and this is dropped would have been a huge game but he could not collect it so after the incompletion it's second down 55 we and the motion by the back now forces the defense to adjust and now another deep ball here downfield shot balls incomplete couldn't quite connect there they come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now ja grabb it drops back needing a third down completion here and they chase him down outside the pocket for a sack well that's the kind of play right there that this defense first down play call how aggressive will it be come on set hand off to the single back breaks loose at the 40 oh and he breaks free it's a foot race inside the 10 no stopping him takes it all the way touchdown Louisiana Tech what a touchdown anytime you see a play go for that many yards everything has to come together the offensive line did their job the running back's vision and instincts and speed and the play caller setting up the perfect Personnel Group formation and play call it all came together and they get the big score okay and the Louisiana Tech offense is back out on the field now the last possession was a oneplay touchdown drive on the ground to see if the offensive line can continue to create some big Lanes throws a bullet to the right caught near the goal line they're not going to get him he's in touchdown Bulldogs a great job here of fin him again that's his second touchdown reception in this football [Music] game he guys up front lined up it's first downar clear they'll come out throwing here to start the drive and it's incomplete targeting a man right near the goal line incomplete second down coming up Yankee blue Yankee blue play action fake looking to throw avoiding the sack with the scramble results in just a very short game they convert here on third down in the Red Zone this is a fourpoint type of play touchdown or field goal quarterback escapes the pocket and takes off score here you know make it into the end zone touchdown Louisiana Tech you can just tell this quarterback who exactly what he wanted to do as things were developing in front of him he saw that open space and decided I'm just going to take it myself and head to the end zone for a touchdown [Music] [Applause] here comes the Bulldogs offense back on the field belly stutter cricket from the shotgun now here's an inside give gets into space at the 50 oh and nothing but green brass ahead and he runs it into the end zone touchdown Bulldogs all I wondered if this back might get loose and come up with a big play like this the defense had their back turned couldn't really see where he was by the time they realized it he just had too much speed and he's able to take it to the end [Music] zone so the first play of the drive here coming up less than two minutes left on the clock let's go on First and 10 they'll look to throw it on the move here trying to hit a deep shot caught way downfield for a huge gain and he's in the clear down the right side Endzone ahead takes it all the way to the house touchdown Louisiana Tech now we're seeing more and more of this in college football guys in that slot that got the ability to get downfield vertically it's a mismatch if you have the right guy this time they get the match up that they want hit it for a big [Music] one talk about a perfect end of the regular season becoming champions of Conference USA they've achieved a goal they've made their case now it's going to come down with the committee decides to do to see if they're going to get that
