Survivor 47 Cast Reaction

and we're back with another new episode of tribal council chat as always we are your host my name is Bruce heler and my name is B Pell and let's get started Tribal Council chat is part of the reality Ro Network by the way um yes we are we have the Survivor 47 cast release finally yeah just came out one of the Later cast release that CBS has ever done but works out L for us because I did just get home so we are now able to do this in real time and not pre-recorded from a month ago true true but um Bruce ready for me to show screen I'll bring up a PowerPoint of the cast and then we can get into them one player at a time and just give our initial reactions yeah all right perfect um you are going to have to enable screen sharing for participants we're using the same account though let me see it says host disabled a participant screen sharing okay now try it there we go all right so um the way that they've arranged this there's no tribe breakdown or anything yet all the contestants are just in alphabetical order by last name um so we will just go by it that way and that means we're going to start with tiny kich kurilo who is 24 um from New Jersey and is a freelance writer yeah teeny seems interesting been a fan of the show since fifth grade yep um for trying to find the who do you who do you want to play like oh Elaine Evie and Ty that's interesting and is who she identifies with says that they'll play most like Mike White with a dash of Fabio and a Sprinkle of Courtney and I don't know how that's going to work but I'm interested to see it so so certainly someone who with all these six names probably intends to be a big character this season yeah probably certainly a super fan as we're seeing in casting uh Tini says that they've worn a buff every day to high school and force the restaurant co-workers to vote each other out of the kitchen so clearly someone who is lives Survivor their entire upbringing that's hilarious says that they gravitate towards an um wom first of all and as far as abilities looks for intelligence mathematics and tends to enjoy gossiping for towards future Alliance Partners so that could be interesting could get them into trouble oh yeah I could definitely see that gossip thing getting you into trouble if it gets back to someone that you're talking about yeah and says that the pet peeves that they get um when people are late it makes them angry or upset while in this show you're on island time so you don't really got to worry about that yeah so yeah and for why tiny will be the sole survivor the answer given was because people like me like me and I like people my strategic and physical attributes will be underestimated but sharp my social game is going to be killer interesting I really like what Tiny's had to say so far um should be a very interesting character this season for sure for sure all right moving to our next player we have Rome kuny who's 30 originally from Oregon but now lives in Phoenix Arizona and is an Esports commentator that's probably the first person to have that job title on this show yeah certainly something that's become more mainstream in the last few years um says that Survivor is the greatest game you can play in real life so as a lifelong gamer I guess he's talking about in the Esports Community this is the ultimate test so that's really inter interesting and that he has to win a million dollars to leave a legacy that his kids would be proud of that reminds me instantly of maybe even someone like Q who could just put too much pressure on themselves yeah for sure he says he identifies with sha Rector and T Herzog the most interesting Sean told it like it is and gave great confessionals and was true to himself and Todd had the greatest final tribal of all time and says also says he's gonna play like cook Island ay H very interesting to combine those two um I find that one thing I definitely wanted to say here is that I like that he mentioned Shan and mentioned Todd that means clearly that Rome is a old school fan he's been around this game for a long time he's not just throwing out New Era names that he thinks production wants to hear yeah so that's always good also for what he values in an alliance partner this is a funny answer to me but kind of smart someone bad at talking publicly so I can beat them easily at final Tri that's extremely smoked I like that blind blind loyalty as he so he says names like aie and Todd and Shan Hugh but maybe he has a little element of Rob too yeah for sure just has to find his Phillip and I even think that could be very smart too cuz one thing you don't want to go into is saying I'm going to play like Rob play like KY play like Tony you no one can do that yeah for sure people try though oh do they ever and then he says things that annoy him is funny ordering food with somebody because when we get the food they still want to take some of my fries that's incredible that's hilarious he's gonna be a lot of fun yeah absolutely and why he says he'll oh this is good because of 46 he says why he'll be the Soul Survivor is because he'll actually play his Idol I will play my Idols I will win at least four individual immunity challenges I have a way with words to get people to do what I want having an anyone but me mentality so a bit of Sandra mixed into his game he seems to be going for a lot of everything I don't know how that's going to work out but he'll certainly be entertaining well he's there it's smart to try to build his own strategy that would not emulate it completely off of one person yeah it it is excuse me ready to move on yeah next we have Anika Dar who is 26 originally from Santa Rosa California but now lives in Los Angeles and is a marketing manager yeah I she's one that stuck out to me is really interesting I don't know if it's Ana or anuka I'm not sure but either way I like what we're seeing so we'll see when they when they get out onto the beach I guess yeah for what previous player she identifies with and who she'll play most like she says in my dayto day I have a tendency to be blunt and straight forward like Queen Sandra and I can persuade people like Queen parvy I think I will play most like Queen Sarah in Game Changers someone who is socially aligned with the most players someone who people will trust who will get advantages in the game and someone who is able to deflect being a threat to others very interesting so she's very but describing herself as being that blunt kind of yeah makes me think she'll be in trouble like what we saw with Venus really early on last season yeah I could absolutely see that and she's young anyway and women in their 20s somethings get the poverty Target for some reason yeah especially if she Embraces it herself yeah for what she values in an alliance she said who I choose to align with will be purely based on my gut feeling and intuition with that being said I will value someone who is interested in cooperating to pull our information together someone who is considered to share information with me even if we have to vote differently and that last part is really interesting yeah that's very smart because especially because as we see in the newer game you players don't have the same Alliance or work with the same people from day one all the way to what was day 39 and now Day 26 the alliances are changing so much that that is vital to be able to work with people even if you don't vote with them that week to still know that they might be an asset for the next for sure absolutely pet peeve when people she has a few when people leave the water running people who aren't spatially aware in crowded spaces slow drivers in the left lane so if she already is able to list a few that's interesting because that might mean that she could be a source of conflict amongst whatever tribe she's in I hope I'm wrong because she seems really interesting and see yes I agree potential but I'm getting Venus here yeah so that and then she says why she'll win the game um is that she's an allaround player she can listen and remember things very well and get people to open up among about themselves comfortably so that's really smart um that's the one thing that we saw that Venus couldn't do so it'll be interesting to see if she can maybe break that mold a little bit Yeah I think she has a lot of potential and some really interesting perspectives and ideas but the bluntness and the having like four pet peeves listed yeah worries me it does all right moving on we have tan who goes by TK Foster he is from Prince George County Maryland is an athlete marketing manager um and says he wants to be on Survivor because he feels his entire life has led to this moment um his TK's dad went to prison at a very young age and he was diagnosed with a kidney disease that almost killed him so he's overcame a lot for being in his early 30s um he says since he was B he was beating the odds and he wants to get a chance to do that again yeah here's what's interesting he says his favorite player of all time is Tony because he was always on unapologetically him and he respects that with that being said I haven't he hasn't really seen a player on the show on a player on the show that I see himself in but he typically gravitates towards a social and physical player like Caleb for example but says he wants to go a lot deeper than Caleb did and I mean I can see that answer saying that there isn't someone that he really sees himself in and especially for someone that like I just mentioned has overcame so much that he probably has such a different experience in his teens and 20s compared to pretty much anyone that it would be hard to say oh this person is like me the way I personally for example as a person that was backpacking Europe and Asia at that time just instantly gravitated to Michelle or the way other people do with other players yeah for sure and so he says he values authenticity and Trust um he does not want to be aligned with someone who's just there to be a character for TV so that's interesting um tells me that he really wants to play this game and win this game as opposed to just get Instagram followers and maybe go on the challenge later yeah what's interesting is one life experience one of the questions on this questionnaire for each person is one life experience that you feel has prepared you for the game beating kidney disease definitely he he says prepared him for this and I love this quote I learned how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable very true which have to do both physic you are gonna have to do that absolutely wise because you have the elements you have the very little food but you have a changing game that'll put you in positions that you don't know how to get out of also yeah that is a very good point so that'll definitely be an advantage moving on next we have tyana how helmless um she is from AA Hawaii so we have another Hawaiian player joining the cast after Cody did in 43 I think yeah no nice uh she is a flight attendant um a job occupation that we've seen do quite well in this game notably with t-bo and with Todd yeah um is adventurous multi-passionate and funny and says that why does she want to be part of Survivor she gives the answer of why don't I want to be part of Survivor I love challenging myself um I want to be able to uh for this is funny she says I want to be able to afford to survive and thrive in Hawaii as a native to the Islands Hawaii is routinely expensive as I know I might be going there in December I wanton a free trip nice and um that she loves Adventure she's also a D1 athlete by the way oh really wow for one life volleyball for gona interesting and she uses that as her life experience that has prepared her for the game which I could see you know yeah absolutely teamwork for example is huge and she says she resonates a lot with poverty then in parentheses says I feel like a lot of women do that's true because she used every part of herself to win sensual cunning strategic athletic and was the master of her own destiny the other interesting answer here is she says she loved and loved as in all capitals gabler he was con networking but knew how to take a back seat he listened and observed before making a move he won individual immunity challenges and could read situations people really well so she gives the name poverty and GBL but with her descriptions I'm putting them together and I'm saying I think she might play a lot like Michelle I could see it a little bit what's interesting like I'm kind of indiffer on gabler he's not one of my favorites but I don't hate it way a lot of Survivor Twitter likes to throw fits about either but that that's an interesting answer and describes him really well in a way that maybe I don't give his winning game enough credit like because the things she's saying about him are true looking back and if that can be replicated that's huge yeah that's a season I'll have to watch again at some point some point soon I think tyana could go really deep in this game potentially yeah I could see that um she says that she um what she values in an alliance partner is open Communications so that's really important um she also values someone who's willing to make big moves and play fearlessly I find that interesting too that she says she values in an alliance partner someone who's willing to make big moves maybe the chance that she could work with someone who could screw up their own game as opposed to messing up hers and that she could still be able to pick up the pieces at around final 6 seven to make a run to the end yeah all right ready to move on one more thing Survivor is a game about building bonds and relationships the accomplishment Tiana said she's most proud of is the relationship she's built with her siblings H very interesting building solid relationships takes time patience unconditional love support and dedication and in a game that's based on relationships knowing how to do that can get you really far yeah that is very interesting um I'm sure probably with this answer maybe we'll get more in one of those like flashback confessionals that tell us about her siblings and why that's important to her um there's probably something more there that we don't quite know yet I'd say yeah by the way I I forgot to ask this before we started are we doing our winner picks at the end of this episode um yeah might as well okay I think that's what we usually do I've never really thought of it but I'll figure it out by the end i' I'm thinking as I'm going that's why I was asking okay perfect moving on we have Rachel Lamont who is a graphic designer from Michigan she's 34 and says she's down to earth bubbly and determined um she wants to be a part of Survivor cuz she first discovered it in 2017 so a newer fan uh when her husband randomly put it on the TV nice and that she loves people and pushing herself out of her comfort zone loves playing games and loves getting money I don't blame her for that she's lived abroad which is cool this is fantastic quote here and I feel like this might be me if I was in this situation this is if you're looking at her listing it's under life experience that prepared you for the game I was born in Thailand and lived there until I was seven but I never spoke Tai very interesting I'm kind of just impressed by living somewhere for seven years and never speaking the language there yeah absolutely I mean I've been there it is a quite obviously speaking Tai would help you can depending on where you live you can um there's such a big British community and British influence in that country that it doesn't surprise me if she was growing up but that's very interesting yeah um definitely as someone who loves Thailand and can't wait to go back there um makes her become instantly a player that I'm definitely looking forward to watching yeah the player that she identifies with or resonates with she says is Kellen bold interesting I love these answers that we don't get very often yeah she says kellen's Midwest nice and ability to trust her gut and her smarts and charm the player she would love to play like is Omar's Z here cites his incredible social game and strategic game that's smart see this part of the question there kind of asked two different questions there's who do you identify with with and then who do you want to play like but I assume the person that who they resonate with like is is just subconsciously who they're they're going to play like that person also I feel like to so this is an interesting two game to combine if you want to combine the two proes between Kellen and om yeah that will be very interesting to see and then this answer is just too funny not to bring up she says something we never know from looking at her is that she can eat the majority of a Costco watermelon in a single sitting nice that's funny and then she says she'd be good at would be Soul Survivor because she's good at reading people's motivations and desires um which you need in order to Pander to a jurry um okay that I guess she's talking about the game I was thinking maybe she had a legal background but I don't think I've ever seen that um and that she makes friends fast and gains people's trust quickly so that's really important yeah anything else you want to bring up about Rachel before we move on yeah Rachel and an alliance partner is looking for someone that will quote not be intimidated by my rapid fire way of thinking ideally it would be someone that takes my word vomit and parses it back and can balance out my overreactive rame so she's that's interesting so she has the self-awareness to realize that her brain is going to overthink and shoot about a thousand different thoughts out at a time yeah and realizes that to be successful she needs an alliance partner that can stay calm under pressure and balance that out I find that interesting though that she says that she needs an alliance partner who can stay calm and balance that out because that could work but you might not find that person she might need to balance it out herself or it might cause you problems in the game yeah I could kind of see that and we saw we seen it before where someone just gets down a path and can't fix it and then goes a thousand miles an hour down that path like a Banu for example last season yeah exactly things started going south he kind of freaked out a little bit and and I don't think Rachel was that who we're on is gonna be B no I don't think so ignore the fact that I took bonu really highly in our draft last year because I thought he would be good based off of this and he ended up being one of he made it farther than his skill level would suggest I feel like but ended up being one of the not great players of the new era yeah entertaining though that's for sure but I do like the self-awareness because some people and not to keep going back to the same example but like last season with Venus I think there was a selfawareness lacking of how she was rubbing people the wrong way yeah she was coming off so Rachel at least sees that her mind is going to go rapid fire mode like this and realizes hey it'd be nice if I have an alliance member that could balance that out well and I hope she finds that right all right so moving on Christian Gabby Dynamic I guess that's kind of what good point moving on we have John LoveIt who's 42 he was born in Long Island in New York City but lives in Los Angeles now and is a podcast host for Kuru apparently famous I've heard the name I've never seen him before I have not but I'll have to look it up um he says three words to describe him is opinions for days I mean that's important when you're a podcast host yeah at the same time it can also get you into trouble in Survivor if you have too many opinions about the people that you have to be working with while voting off yeah well I could kind of that was kind of Tevin last season in a way because he kind of always seemed to have have something to say about someone in any given episode he said he says in terms of what prepared him for Survivor was two things being at 13 he got cut from the baseball team on the way to the game um which is inter interesting but I want to look this other thing up CU it's right down my um Direction but he says he has a career in politics I want to see what John has done so if you want to give any thoughts you have I've got to figure out yeah what he ran for or who he worked for or for the player he wants to play like I love these three names he kind of says it as an astrology reference and I don't oh wow how John was th when he says AER in politics I just got to bring this up this is bigger than I thought John was a speech writer for President Obama and Hillary Clinton wow that's huge yeah so if he gets the final tribal it's it's over for the other two unless the jurry is full of Megas but that's a whole different issue yeah but he'll know that he'll he'll be able to Pander to the jury that's true he's he's also been a writer outside of politics for NBC understandably why Survivor didn't mention that being a competitive yeah his previous player I love these three names the way he says it I think is an astrology reference and I just don't care or do have anything to do with astrology who are fans that do that's not a shot at you at all it's just not my thing but his his Players He'll play like are Penner with an Aubrey moon in Cochran Rising I don't exctly know what the moon and the rising Parts mean but I love these three players it's funny that you say that because in my notes I said have no idea what he means as Kendra yeah I don't know it's Henner Aubrey and Cochran though that's a really interesting Trio I like the three very smart players for sure yeah I feel like John love it is going to be a more intellectual type of Survivor player yeah absolutely and he's a speech writer so he's used to thinking everything through and how it'll come off to every he's gonna play the game with his mind first and foremost absolutely and then um this is interesting he says why he'll be the sole survivor he says he always felt like he was an outsider in part because he's gay but being honest that was never a problem because he's always done well fitting in and making friends um and he's had to work for everything and he's been training for Survivor his whole life so that's really interesting wait no he he said the social graces fitting in and making friends work bigger problems is how I read it okay they because he says being gay was never my largest problem social Grace is fitting in making friends it's never come naturally oh that I see that line I missed it my bad so that'll be interesting to see how he can work his way into an alliance then yeah kind of like I said earlier with tyana being so proud of how she builds relationships yeah struggling to make friends and build friendships might get you in trouble out here even if you're someone that's this smart it could but then also we've seen so many people who say that they struggle with that but when they're forced to do it can overcome it so true all right anything you need to add before we move on no next we have gen Viv masalik um she is 33 representing Winnipeg Manitoba so obviously someone there that I'm automatically cheering for yeah um for those of you who don't know she's the only by Manitoba she's the only Canadian on this cast and she's a corporate lawyer who describes herself as energetic friendly and organized she wants to be on Survivor cuz she's been watching the show since she was a pre-teen and even then she had an unearned sense of confidence is I could do that um so she wants to test it out and challenge herself yeah here's what's interesting we've had a lot of lawyers on Survivor over the years and this always comes up and on my favorite New Era season 45 we this came up three times in the same Premiere episode is Genevie going to tell people she's a lawyer or try to hide it that's a good point is this all this same question always comes up with lawyers and like with 45 all three of them Julie Jake and Cura none of them said they were yeah to the point where like one of I think Jake says to Cura and one of because he he had finally said he was hey Cura you would be a pretty good lawyer or something like that and she was e might have been either Jake or Julie said that to Cura I'm like well about that so I don't will she say if she is or not I don't know the she identifies with and like wants to play like a combo of Eliza Chrissy and Lindsay I like that that is a interesting combination I'm assuming she means Lindsay 42 not Africa or Kagan but or 43 even yeah but she says she thinks I think saying l the people in the game will not raise any red flags I plan to say I admire her because of her success Challenge and then in parenthesis and this is smart but will admit any reference to her amazing social game smart again this is they don't lawyers kind of sometimes they do really well sometimes they go home early the results are mixed enough I don't know how to predict what Genevie will do but they think things through really well the ones we've seen on Survivor half look how deep Julie Ally went y look at someone like a jake who couldn't really ever get anything going for himself but Eliza think things through and assess really well Eliza going to final four yeah here's something I would not have expected favorite hobbies she says am I too old to say video games here no definitely not aside from that she says she likes anything social time with family or friends nice um the thing I think that's going to be interesting here too and this is just me knowing where she comes from a bit and knowing her community and knowing her last name is that Winnipeg for those of you who don't know in the American audience is at least within Canada the largest Ukrainian community and her last name is certainly very Ukrainian so I'm wondering how the impact of everything going on back home with the illegal Invasion by Russia into Ukraine is going to have an impact on her game and if she might be playing for anyone that she know knows who may be experiencing War at the time yeah here's what's interesting what is the accomplishment you're the most proud of she says honestly probably getting on Survivor because of my path to get here I first applied the very night Canadians could so that's five or six years ago at this point by the way I've applied every year sense and got progressively closer each time but last year I got my hopes I got rejected when my hopes were up and it hurt but I kept trying it's the longest I failed at something repeatedly but kept trying and now here I am I love that persistence yeah I love that reminds me of like talking to Wendell who told me that he applied something like 12 season or 12 years in a row or something yeah and so who obviously went on to win the game so one thing that does kind of stick out and I won't call this a red flag but it could get her in trouble possibly could help also for for something we would never know from looking at she says she wears her heart on her sleeve and her thoughts on her face wearing your heart on your sleeve being emotional not necessarily a bad thing but could easily become one yeah makes sense and wearing your thoughts on your face and being easy to read I that pretty much just is a not great thing yeah absolutely not going to be able to Bluff people like you need to in this game if true people can read your face really easily all right so like Genevie though yeah same so moving on we have Gabe ortis who's 26 from Baltimore he's a radio show host um who's opportunistic resourceful and blunt I wonder if right away when I see that if we might get any connection maybe they'll be on the same tribe probably not immediately but between Gabe and John yeah who are at least from what I've seen so far seem to be the two players that are in a very similar line of work we haven't seen that yeah yet there might be more coming I'm interested to see John love it because I remember when the trailer first dropped for this season everyone said oh hey look it's John love it and I remember thinking I know the name I don't know why why but here's what's interesting for me with Gabe is for the question I always go to first which is who do you think you'll play like I think there are bits of a lot of players I resonate with and will emulate but he says he doesn't want to watch people and say wow he's like XYZ he wants people to look at players that come after him and say wow that player plays a lot like Gabriel interesting I love the confidence here I not wanting to be like someone else but wanting to create a new mold yeah I love that too and therefore it doesn't put um him feeling like he has to try to replicate something he can just go and do whatever he wants and sees fit for sure favorite hobbies are live sporting events poker and snowboarding so he's certainly someone that knows competition and knows risk-taking yeah accomplishment he's most proud of is hosting his own talk show in Baltimore on a major station yeah sadly I left that job to pursue Survivor but best sad decision I ever made interesting so he's willing to make hard decisions yeah that's big you have to be able to do that oh for sure and for why he'll be the sole survivor I can read people better than anyone I know also if I get an idol I'm playing it I have a feeling that the 46 cast is going to be getting shots taken at them in this question not only this season but probably all the way up until 49 have these people seen 46 yep okay so yeah but see now we're going to have a lot of people wasting Idols playing them just cuz they feel like they have they need to play it so these people would have played like 46 would have been in the winter so they would have played last like we're now in what September I don't know if they would have seen it i' have to look CBS would only know the calendar but I'm sure they probably saw it before they play and then it wrapped up and then they played the game and then they're probably doing these interviews more like two weeks ago but I don't know I would assume they probably fill these out before they go out there yeah that's a good point who knows because the way they talk in these answers is I'm going to do this not I already did that's that's a good point um anything else you want to add for Gabe before we move on to Kyle no all right so for Kyle he's 31 also from Michigan so we have two Michigan contestants on this season uh he's a construction worker who wants to be on Survivor to inspire his children to change their Wildest Dreams um I'm right away noticing the quote is this guy going to be a new [Laughter] Charly yeah for those of you not get it he has a Taylor Swift reference in his first line that's also a common phrase though it is but you never know what's interesting is the player he identifies most with and this is a player I love is probably Jesse from season 43 because Jesse's M goal was to win the money in the prize for his family and that is one major reason why Kyle applied yeah that's really interesting I like that Jesse is I think you and I both agree as one of the best players of the new era so yeah to see um someone want to emulate that game is really interesting um this is interesting too it says what's one experience that prepared you for the game he says hands down van life um he traveled around the US uh for over six years living out of a van um and that personally allowed him to submerge himself into so many different environments cultures and um different social classes of people that's really interesting a van that he built by the way oh wow I think he says that on here living in a van that I personally built yeah that's I'm interested to see how that applies and he says he's gone within the same trip from eating dinner out of garbage cans to at on some days to H being invited onto multi-million dollar yachts on other days so that is quite the unique classification and I think could really help him because like something like that experience can keep your emotions up when you have a low day even if the day before you won reward yeah for sure I think Kyle's GNA be no matter how deep into the game or how good or not good he is as a player I think he's going to be a character yeah first and foremost he has plenty of stories when he talks about eating out of trash cans or going on multi-million dollar yachts it's it'll be interesting to see him and I'm sure he'll have plenty of stories and I think he's going to be great TV oh yeah absolutely um he says in an alliance po values being honest even if it means getting the short end of the stick that is a bit of a red flag for me because I think that it could be a sign of someone who could get taken advantage of especially if he ends up making an alliance with a very aggressive player who can read through that yeah for sure and so yeah like he said favorite hobbies like we talked about he loves to travel loves being a dad Y and he enjoys a good surf when given the opportunity also this is interesting biggest inspiration in life he says is himself I don't think I've ever seen someone give that answer I hope I'm wrong because he's gonna be a really fun character but I would not be surprised to see him go early yeah it could go either way this is kind of how I felt reading jolinsky bio last last season and he went first and we both said like he'll be a fun character but we don't know how long he'll last yeah I think Kyle has the potential to be good but I also feel like I don't know all right yeah I agree with you there moving on we have kesan Patel who's from San Francisco he's an emergency room doctor and words that describe him is nurturing composed their admirable and he wants adorable my apologies it's the morning yeah we're recording this in the morning to drop it to you guys the same day so you're welcome audience yeah and he says that he wants to be part of Survivor because he's been playing some form of Survivor for as long as he can remember um being knowing who to trust as a uh closeted gay indianamerican and waiting for the right moment to come out um experiencing the hustle of being a child of immigrant parents who raised he was raised in his familyowned liquor store and survivors the most beautiful chaotic complex reflection of each individual identity out there um plus he says it's going to be fun this I find really interesting cuz he had that um very story that is like the um New American success story of like he says his parents owning their own small business and living upstairs and then he's gone on to be an emergency room doctor in this country in the US um the thing I find right away that I see like where he says nurturing as a word that describes him and we've seen this with other doctors in the show like Peter in Kang not like Shawn Shawn was a completely unique example on Bono but I wonder is he going to be able to put himself on everybody else's level or is he going to think that because of his education he needs to tell the tribe how to do everything properly see and this might be the recency bias but I when I saw nurturing my mind went to Kenzie last season and just kind of being there for everyone especially with Ben's night terrors yeah true that's kind ofing it all depends how kishan decides he's going to embrace that role based on his life experience and what's interesting is he hopes to play most like Spencer who is a geeky nerd who had an authentic yet devious and was charismatic while scheming so that's interesting yeah that is interesting um sorry I just lost my page you're good while he does that what's interesting to me about kishan is he values someone who can disagree with him but will still work with him I appreciate and Trust folks who aren't afraid to share their opinion but can still understand encountering perspectives that's huge like I love that yeah that is huge don't just need want someone that's going to blindly agree with you every step of the way down the road like it's good to have someone like that who can disagree with you and you still work together and not have a fight yeah because when you disagree it causes you to think things through more and think of every possible scenario and he he says his hobby is traveling and eating all the pastries and desserts of the world so certainly he has something in common with me here yeah um th this is actually hilarious I'm assuming that kesan probably eats quite a bit of South Asian food at home he says his pet peeve is thinking PE people who think that salt and pepper are a real seasoning yeah that that's hilarious um anything you want to add before we move on no all right moving on to Sam we have uh he's 24 originally from Illinois but now lives in Nashville and is a sports reporter um playing Survivor was a childhood dream of his and he loves both mental and physical competitions survivors the greatest game ever created and a million dollars yeah uh he says he landed a full-time job as a reporter in the NFL at 22 years old so that's certainly something that takes a lot of competition and um who he would play like obviously I like this answer Michelle Fitzgerald um more he says so much more than her appearance in her game twice tough exterior with an emotional core my game will so look like Devin Pinto from HHH he built relationships and um gave up control early didn't have to be the alpha and made a late run so that's going to be very interesting for me as a com interesting combination of names that you don't see together very no that's very true and so anything that stuck out to you I'm looking okay I don't think so no um he says he'll be sole survivor because um he can get in with any group of people so that's really interesting and that he will never be a physical strategic and social Force but that'll never be perceived as the strongest smartest or loudest that I think is very smart yeah so maybe he'll like Jeremy element to his game as well yeah probably all right moving on to Andy R he's 31 originally from Buffalo New York Upstate but now lives in Brooklyn as an AI research assistant whose phenetic wman created um Survivor has been a dream of his for most of his entire life and he's ready he says to transition from his role in this weird ecosystem from Super Fan to player I find that writing very interesting especially with his job title um maybe reminds me of somebody who could be like Christian in this situation he could do very well at the same time he could go like all Hightech world and just annoy people yeah and have his tribe not understood and anything he's talking about for sure and so what are your thoughts about Andy I think what's interesting is sorry I had it pulled up on my computer and it froze so I'll go back to my phone yeah okay I think in an alliance partner he wants someone who is not willing to win at all cost and that is susceptible to True loyalty I need this person to want to take me to the end even if they're not sure they can beat me interesting that is interesting now this is I find this is a really interesting point here he says his biggest inspiration is his maternal grandfather um for being a World War II veteran which makes a lot of sense what they went through over there was incredible puts the survival aspect of this game to pretty much nothing um but he also says something that I um notice here that he says in addition to that his grandfather is um his inspiration for being one of the few Democrats on either side of his family this gives me two instant notific things pop up in my mind one is if he gets in an alliance with John that could be something that could go very far if they're on the same tribe the second is is if he's going into pregame and already talking about politics in such a divisive environment that the United States is right now he may find it very difficult to work with people who have different views than him yeah for sure and that is not somewhere you want to be in reality television as a whole because if you find a couple people who disagree with you on a tribe of six and you're talking about politics at the campfire that's all they need to say you're the easy boot because I don't want it to be me yeah for sure that is a red flag one thing that's interesting why he thinks he'll be Soul Survivor I quote I feel like I'm two good players smooshed into one my two great powers are my ability to charm and disarm people from all walks of my life and my ability to crunch numbers in a pinch I'm confident I can always find the right vote split SL plurality option and I can use my social bonds to execute it so he's very confident and very high on his own chances of winning is what I'm getting here yeah exactly which is danger that is um and he says he'll identify the most with playing like ul and like Omar so we have another reference which is interesting Omar's coming up a lot this season um but then also someone who clearly has been watching the game for a while and goes all the way back to Cook Islands with you yeah Andy seems interesting the politics thing like you mentioned could be trouble I think he's he's bordering on levels of overconfident even and I think that could get him in trouble yeah but all right moving on we have sume who is 59 I believe she's the oldest contestant on this season um from putam Valley New York and she is a flight school owner so I assume if you're a flight school owner she's probably a pilot as well maybe and uh three words that describe her is badass fearless and adrenaline junkie so probably more so than a pilot she's probably a skydiver or both yeah and she she would be a combo of Tony and ser that is an interesting combination that is a very interesting combination I don't know how that works at all because you have probably one of the most common collected players and one of the most outrageous over the top players in Survivor history in there and one of the most paranoid players also with Tony yeah exactly um so yeah that's interesting um how she how her experience is prepared her for the game she says that she grew up poor without drinking water without hot showers without heat so I mean she's clearly done this before um having to bathe in the river um so I assume her family was probably homeless but um so that certainly gives her a lot of experience going into the game whereas she'll probably be able to overcome the initial like the first 72 hours of no food a lot better than anybody else yeah for sure and then um why she thinks she'll be sole survivor is because she's not afraid of anything we'll follow her gut and we'll take out threats so I think Sue's position is interesting she clearly has a lot of experience being 59 on a cast that seems to have I think the next oldest person so far was John who was 42 that's a big gap will she be able to fit in like a Julie did possibly but Julie's case was so unique in Survivor that that doesn't happen very often yeah all right moving on we have Caroline valmar she um grew up in Cali but is originally from oh sorry grew up in California but now lives in Chicago and is a strategy consultant so probably in business um says she's adventurous enthusiastic and supportive I like that yeah I like that too go and this I think goes exactly to what I was saying earlier is with kashmar we had um him say nurturing as opposed to supportive they're similar but supportive could be a little more focused on taking less control yourself yeah um so I'd be a little less concerned there she says it's her dream to be on Survivor since she was five um watching other watching survivors who were down on their luck but still fighting and persevering um taught her to the power of resilience so maybe she's looking at Players like a Chris Underwood let's say and maybe modeling her game that way yeah she says she resonates with Tori from 42 and Emily from 45 interesting and I love Emily on 45 45 has an amazing cast it does and Emily kind of was able to get past it like she struggled really badly the first episode and then kind of this metamorphosis but Emily early on and Tori for most of her run kind of were too blunt at times and to just kind of said what's on their mind I could see that being a issue for Caroline in that if she happens to speak a bit too much she could find herself on the outs very early as especially seeing that we're playing once again in a three tribes of six and not two tribes of 10 yeah for sure um she says something that people would never look um would never know looking at her another thing I have in common with a player on this season um she likes a lot of water sports but also mentions that she's a scuba diver so I love that nice and um why she says she'll be Soul Survivor is she says the complete answer takes me too long to write so let me just say this um I've been preparing for this experience for a long time and I have the great determination and ex um expertise needed to win that's interesting that she says it takes too long I wonder if some one who says that an answer like to such a simple question could take too long I wonder if she's going to be known as maybe the Jenna Lewis of this tribe that won't stop talking yeah maybe I think she also just probably has a lot to say though I don't know that that'll be yeah we don't know until we see it she could be format everything very well and be an excellent speaker who could be uh top contender in trip final for sure all right moving on we have Aisha Welch she is um from Texas 32 and is an an It consultant so I think that gives us in addition to radi podcasting host another similar profession on this season um with people working in it and she describes herself as an over aever unique and joyful overachiever I pick out here is kind of uh because that can be someone in such a like like I was mentioning earlier that we saw with Q could be very hard on themselves if they don't perform perfectly in a challenge yeah um but she's watched Survivor since she was 12 her mom started watching in season one so this is a player who's been a lifelong fan of this show um know she's always ready for the biggest challenge and one experience that prepared her for the game this is interesting is that in 2017 when Houston was hit by a hurricane her apartment was um her apartment was basically flooded there was a fo foot of water above the roof she's saying and that it destroyed everything she owned her dad drove down from Dallas and she had to walk way steep through water in the middle of the night in order to get out safely but that's that's certainly an experience of survival that most people will never have yeah for sure uh she identifies most with s um as well as with Natalie Anderson so that's really interesting um she says she lost 10 pounds of fat and gained five pounds of muscle in preparation for Survivor so she's clearly been trading and is um ready to be a strong player in the physical game yeah one's to have the social game of s in the physical game of Natalie Anderson shooting really high there but I appreciate yeah is she ever but absolutely I can appreciate that too um she bought her first house on her own at 29 that was her biggest accomplishment as someone saving for a house at 30 almost 32 I'm very proud of her to hear that and in Alliance partner she says she wants blind loyalty and would love for the person to be loyal to her without realizing she's a threat to win too many people lately have been blindsided by their Ally I want an ally who is too loyal to even consider betrayal interesting I don't know if you're gonna find that but I like the thought process no I don't know um I think we'll move on here cuz we have to do two more names and I have work in 15es minutes so yeah um going next we have Sierra Wright um she's 27 originally from Delaware but now lives in Pennsylvania and is a nurse uh we've seen nurses do quite well in this show before notably Siri um she says she was born in the born for the game of Survivor with her social and physical abilities on Stephanie lossa as her player nice um that'll be really interesting so kind of like what I was saying before to a few other players clearly someone who's been watching this game for quite a while because she's given us a name from back in the old school Seasons yeah um she says she's getting sick of monthly payments towards a $100,000 student debt so that's why she wants to win the game I mean I don't blame you yeah for sure um interesting she says one of her favorite hobbies she gives a few but is crabbing on the boat obviously coming from Delaware that makes sense but I wonder if she's going to maybe have some providing experience that she could offer this tribe when it comes to finding Seafood out in the island yeah that'd be really cool pet peeves oh tell me about it people clapping when the plane lands I like her already that drives me nuts I wouldn't do it but I don't get why people hate it so much I'm doing it if we ever fly together now just as a okay probably not but I'll be tempted to we'll meet in Houston if we do the Cru and go ahead she can say the alphabet backwards in 5 seconds that's wild there's a lot that is wild that is also somebody who can quickly manipulate common DUI testing yeah um what why she says should be good at Survivor um is that if there's one thing to know about me it's that she works her ass off at 150% on everything that she does um her friends say laughter is contagious and she says she PR um expects those 400 am gym wakeup calls to shine through challenges all put interesting um any other thoughts before we finish up on our last player nope let's move on so this is Solomon ye who goes by Soul um he is from Oklahoma but now lives in Connecticut and is AIC medical um device sales so a third player with some medical experience um could be interesting there he says he wants to be part of Survivor because other than Oklahoma football Survivor is what he watches the most um I love that answer I remember reading about this guy yesterday he also mentions gabler because they both are in medical sales yeah I see that and then he also says that um he would in addition to GBL he would play like Adam and Tyson so three winners that's a high bar to set yeah um he says his favorite hobbies is poker working out and eating kimchi so I'm assuming he's South Korean what he looks for in an alliance partner is someone to keep their mouth shut sticking to the plan while also being adaptable if need be and their ability to act so very interesting this is hilarious his accomplishment he's most proud of he wrote take a look at my wife that might be not the best thing to say when you're going into a social game but it's funny though it is I like it so that brings us about to the end do you want to go ahead and quickly do our winner picks before I gotta go yeah you go first real quick all right I'm just quickly scrolling through the pictures one last time while you do that I'll pull mine back up because I wrote it down on a Post-It note while I just have to scroll back up to it so I think this is going to be a really fun cast overall really fun season our third season as a podcast doing this it does seem so like a very fun cast my winner pick is somebody that mentioned in in her accomplishment she's proud of [Music] being proud of how well she's built relationships with people and in Alliance partner she says first off open communication is huge there are be many times she won't be at certain conversations and needs to be able to trust that her partner will tell her accurate information mentions making big moves and someone else who's willing to to make big moves so that kind of worries me but overall a former D1 athlete so in a team sport who's so great with teamwork and trying to find who their player was ayna I think yeah I I was building to who it was said she's to be Cutthroat which is huge res oh yeah harvy Sandra and gonna play like Game Changer Sarah I I like what I'm reading from tyana I think the player she wants to play like play like is kind of too lofty of a goal but she explains it really well makes sense no wasn't the parver Sarah Sandra one this was parver and gabler yeah I like that so tyana halums is who I'm going with okay I'm bit I was between a few people I was kind of doing this the last minute um I think I'm going to go with Sam um the NFL reporter he's younger and seems to be determined is a Michelle F So that obviously helps with my pick and seems to be both physical and intelligent yeah anything you want to say
