during Apple's glow Time Event they announced the new airpods fourth generation and there's actually two different versions so if you need help decid in which one you should get this video is for you so the base model is $129 while the upgraded one is $179 now the biggest difference besides price is the active noise canellation which is only available on the upgraded version now they both have the H2 chip but the $179 pair has a few more audio features than the base model like adaptive audio transparency mode and conversation awareness which I wouldn't use but hey they both use USB type-c just like every other product that Apple recently announced but the upgraded air can wirelessly charge and use Apple watch charger which is perfect now lastly which I think is the biggest thing is that the upgrade version has built-in speakers so now you can actually find your airpods using F now these are all the main differences between the two I'm probably going to spend the extra money but let me know which airpods you're picking up
