e e there were with the mental side of of tennis uh from from my perspective as as a fan if you like um the the two things that strike me in tennis compared to lots of other sports um that I think make it a big mental challenges first of all it's an individual sport but but secondly so there's nowhere to hide like in football in a team you can just give the ball to another you know teammate and you can not call for it if you like but there's nowhere to hide the other thing as well in tennis is is again in something like football you can be really nervous but you can get a bit lucky uh and of course that can be the case in tennis but but basically you know your your your body could be shaking when you're about to take a penalty okay and you can still score because you can just put your foot through it right you know you just hit as hard as you can and actually probably you will still score because of the odds on that yeah but there there that in a in a sport such as darts snooker tennis where you need to be pretty calm and you need to have a pretty Steady Hand there's just nowhere to hide is there anything I'm missing or am I you know am I am I underplaying something or even over no no I think I think you're 100% correct I think the the real tough thing about you know these Sports and and tennis in particular because of how physical it is as well is the relentlessness of point after point and if you're nervous you have to fight through those nerves sometimes for you know an hour and and they might disappear for a while but then suddenly you know you're you're five all and and it's tight again and you're feeling very tight and you have to manage it over and over again and I think you know the best players in the world just you know use their tools and remember to use their Tools in in big moments because you know once you get to Pro level it's not like any player doesn't kind of know what they have to do but it's in the heat of that moment that they either don't remember because the brain is frying a little bit or they don't have the courage to use them yeah so you know for us sitting there you know remember fedra had two match points against Novak at Wimbledon serving yeah you know you're thinking ser and volley both okay yeah probably Novak's not going to make a great return on both uh now I don't know what you know whether that what Roger was thinking or maybe knew something more than that I did but that was my thinking uh but he didn't and and you know they they slipped through his hands now you know to do that though in that moment takes a huge amount of Courage yeah and and and you know first to make the decision and then secondly to to follow through the decision like that um you know but then you've always got and this is what so tough for players the other thing is you know Match Point make the person play don't you know don't serve and give them a quick volley or whatever and uh that's you know that's that's another school of thought but I think deep down players get to a place where they have an instinct and I think you know I say this over and over again the best players in the world are are the most relaxed and the bravest because in those moments when their instinct is telling them something they are brave enough to to follow it and which is why uh and again it doesn't guarantee you're going to win but I do think it starts to push the odds more in your favor I I'll just say one other thing is yeah you know I don't know if anybody's ever been go carting or any kind of motor racing or watches Motor Racing MH but when I when a driver gets in the groove they lap like within 0.1 of a second every lap like in this unbelievable Groove MH but if they lose that Groove when they're in that Groove It Seems so easy just do it right no hassle but if they lose that Groove if they go a little too fast then you know they they slide out of a corner they lose time they go a little too slow then it's no not effective and the margins are so small to stay on that group and for players as well when you go into something like the the French Open or any you know any tournament but you know especially the big ones you hope that you can get through that first match and find a Groove and if you get in that Groove uh then that gives you your best chances of winning because then most stuff is happening automatically which is the most effective uh you know everybody has a problem when they start to think on the cord and and automatic is is fastest and easiest because you know how to do things and it's not like you you you don't registering I say when you're playing very well you are aware of everything but nothing distracts you when when you start to think your thoughts start to distract you and that's very difficult to manage and if you can learn how to manage that and get yourself back in the groove a little faster than than other players uh that's that's obviously you know helps with with ranking and and why certain players you know more consistent than others because they tend to manage that better I hope that makes sense anyway it does yeah it definitely does there were the mental side of of tennis uh from from my perspective as as a fan if you like um the the two things that strike me in tennis compared to lots of other sports um that I think make it a big mental [Applause] really match l [Music] [Applause] b and you can still [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] take together [Music] suddenly you know you're you're five all and and it's tighter G and you're thinking Ser volley both okay yeah probably no back a great return on uh I don't what was thinking or maybe knew something more than that I did but that was my thinking good afternoon good evening good morning whatever time it is in the world wherever you are tuning in from let's see if I can attach this micone hopefully you can all hear me loud and clear this is a poll which we have run on Twitter look how close it is I think we might be in for a cracker today which of course probably ends up meaning that we won't be but you can see from that pole I think person play I mean I think it is a 5050 Clash it would be great to hear some of your thoughts in the live chat do uh give me some predictions please I want to see who wins and in how many sets uh as you can see from across the bottom of screen in the meantime if you can also hit that like button new to the channel hit subscribe if you are watching us on Instagram or on Twitter give us a follow but also get in the comments section as well of course my stream has chosen the perfect time to stream out just as they're about to begin but fingers crossed I will get it back for you very very quickly it doesn't guarantee you're going to win my thoughts are it's a 50/50 clash as well I think the M of a win over Osaka has propelled her onto a potential Journey to the semifinals that's the journey I Hada going on by the way um so I guess I've got M and I think if they play to their absolute maximum and to their absolute potential and the potential which they've shown in this tournament but if they lose that group then I think maybe M just Shades it in grou let me know what you think in the live chat also let me think let me know what you think about some I've got 800s and 400s and 700 but honestly there are not 400 sets or 800 I just want to know who's winning and how many sets honest question more chance I really want to win ha a Thor Shang I think I've just answered that question for you but yes I'm just going for M for this one personally but please do hit the like button and of of course hit subscribe if you haven't done so get through that find a Groove and if you get in that Groove I wonder if it's my internet is causing an issue here because I've lost the Stream get any you know everybody has a problem they start to think on the court and and automatic is is fastest and easiest because you know how to do things yeah let me know on some your thoughts what about um you TFO winning last night in four sets quite dramatic especially the the game in which he was trying to serve it out plus of course um P Poppin had an advantage in the second set with a break of Serv that he wasn't to capitalize and that's very difficult to manage and if you can learn how to manage that with on the screen because of course we've missed the first game which is wonderful course I'm sure you're here for that level of professionalism but I'm guessing that M got the job done pretty quickly bearing in mind it was done in ranking and why certain players slight favorite is still looking better I hope that makes sense anyway it does saw that let us know perspec how that pound out that first game in the live chat the the two stri tennis compared to lots of other sports um that I think make it a big mental challenge is first of all it's an individual sport but but secondly so there's nowhere to hide like in football in a team sport you can just give the ball to another you know teammate and you can not call for it if you like but there's nowhere to hide the other thing as well in tennis is shaking when you're about to take a penalty okay and you can still score because you can just put your foot through it right you know you just hit as hard as you can and actually probably you will still score because of the odds on that yeah but there's there that in a in a sport such as darts snooker tennis where you need to be pretty calm and you need to have a pretty Steady Hand there's just nowhere to hide is there anything I'm missing or am I you know am I am I underplaying something or even over no no I think I think you're 100% correct I think the the real tough thing about okay I am back and fingers crossed on a permanent basis uh yes so I was just saying that um some people have been making lots of comments about the uh empty seats in the stadium very very easy to answer uh the incredibly strong corporate nature of the sport meaning a lot of those seats will have been reserved for corporate people who don't really have an interest in tennis and will just turn up as and when they want perhaps for the um later on matches for example they're probably having their lunch or late brunch or late breakfast right now there is also another answer to that question is that the remaining seats are so phenomenally expensive that they price out the average fan until the last minute and therein you have the issue as I see Muka putting a backand wide into the tram line that was a chance for kolina coming to the net as she loves to do but it is now a game point for Jasmine palini but it is for me again an indication that Muka is the one who's making the moves it's just a case of whether she can pull them off and she on that occasion she didn't this time a backhand the turn forand Pini you want to avoid that because she'll kill you like that one game all look at that forehand Cross Court so one all hope the echo thing is gone now Ashley it's all fixed okay M of it to serve one game all where you going with this you're going to toss the ball and not hit it second serve oh sorry still the first serve good first serve down the T back and return and now it's the forehand sprayed wide from mova so love 15 okay into the backand of Pini Cross Court forand mova that's the forand of palini forand each forand now and the forehand goes long from mova so that's backto back unforced errors going out out of the forehand of kolina Muka five unforced errors so far ACR course barely just over two games palini the more solid so far with just two unforced errors and the first [ __ ] of light goes the way of the Italian love 30 big couple of points now first Ser goes long from mova foran return foran for Muka is good but and now Muka comes into the net but that's not going to work because Pini can pick her off thus she did love 403 break points Jasmine palini and the first serve is not Landing in as well we've had a couple of unforced Errors off the forehand for mova and now a couple of second serves as well that pini's been able to take advantage of well will should be a to take advantage of this second serve let's see oh just goes over the net in fact it just clipped the net and landed in that was a bit lucky there for mova three break points here Jasmine palini smile on her face of course ready to hit that forehand look at that position but she's going to hit her backand and it's gone long so it's 1540 just long on the forehand now of Muk it's coming the backhand over of palini is that going to land in no but very very close she can't believe it but it has landed just out o again that's two balls now of the racket of Pini that have been within millimeters of Landing in but they landed out so third great point she's still smiling long and wide for mova second serve then back and the turn making sense to go into the back end staying on the backend so it's backand to back hand right now now on the forehand of Jaz that's looped up and it's coming back looped up with interest though backand to backand now but what was M's Court position there it was neither here nor there and Jasmine palini breaks first blood to the Italian two games to one she leads let's have a quick look to see what's going on at the Twitter sphere well we've got that poll that I posted before maybe you pollers knew a bit more than I did because with all those votes 136 in total almost 53% went the way of Palin I see Muka adding some ey drops it's a nice tweet here from uh Henley see what else is going on the Twitter spere to keep you amused what do we think of Arthur rash I know it divides opinion I'm broadly a I like it broadly some comments here on uh Eubanks doing Encore IND interv viws okay back to the action and we have Jaz M po looking to consolidate that break but she loses the first point so it's love 15 down the te on the first serve it's not going to land in so second serve mova looking to strike back immediately foran return from Muka he half decent but now they're into the rally but hitting that ball on the rise from that position on the court that Muka loves just a little bit close to the Baseline but she strikes the ball into the net as we look at Renzo furan pini's coach in the crowd Sarah arani there as well in her box good serve there from poine she's in charge at this point is she know she seeded that Advantage good depth there for Muka now they're on the backand to the forehand of Muka now on the forehand of palini I do think she prefers that forehand side slice here from Muka is decent but nice angle there from palini good depth from both of these players and it's eventually it's Muka who s as who has been so often the case thus far in this match match M of a netting on the forehand side 3015 Jasmine palini Clips are now on the first serve so second serve into the back hand of mov and it's into the net 405 first Ser into the net and it's Pini holds there for 31 so M the slower start I actually thought that she made the slightly better start but it's p who's up on the scoreboard 3-1 too many unforced errors thus far the racket of Carina M from my likeing good depth there from palini we're into the rally but now it's too much depth from Pini 15 love mova down the T and it's an Ace from kolina mova 30 love for the check Ashley here saying she hopes palini wins but it's going to be a tough match for her mov is playing so well uh she has been thus far in this tournament and that's an unreturnable serve meaning we are now 40 love for kolina mova as we look at Emil mska M's coach rocking an Adidas shirt just like uh his prote into the net on the first serve from Carolina mova down the T forehand into the net from Jasmine Pini and it's a whole to love two of muk's holds have been very comfortable sadly there was one that was anything but and that's why Jasmine palini has the advantage let's have a quick look at some of the results from yesterday's US Open share them with you and share some thoughts as well last night we had Francis TF winning in four sets over alexai poin pretty dramatic match I would argue nip and tuck in the first set a break towards the end of it was enough for TFO to get over the line poer in up 53 serving for the second set unable to close it out that set goes to the tie break tifo gets an early advantage and doesn't let it go two sets to love but poin comes roaring back in the third set fourth set was all about the last game of the match where where tifo was trying to get over the line but had two match points couldn't take advantage of either of them poin then has a break point which he's unable to take advantage of there were chances for both players across those points but it was Tifa who got over the line with a forhand winner by the way double faults from poer in uh nine times as many off his racket compared to Francis at least according to those Google stats that we have on the screen with you right now also other matches that took place yesterday included a some people's calling it the match of the Year between kin Wen xang and donovic I'm not sure because I unfortunately I fell asleep after the first set but Kim W Jang prevailing in three sets there uh 62 in the third meaning that she is the first Chinese woman to reach backto back US Open quarterfinals in the modern era saena also threw last night uh she's still on target to reach her second consecutive um US Open final uh Z coming from behind to beat makima in four sets very very comfortable from the for him in the end do you have him in your US Open final let me know your thoughts in the live chat and we'll come back now to the live action with uh muga and Pini here on Louie Armstrong at 50 all but it is palini who has the advantage with the break 3-2 she leads okay where we going with this surf we're going to the backand of palini which go sorry M which goes into the net 3015 Jasmine decent return there for M and it's the forehand that's loose this time off the racket of Pini and we're at 30 all down the T backhand return from Muk forehand from palini now on the forehand side of each player now on the backand of Muka across Court to the backand of each player slic now for Muka maybe she needs to mix it up a bit more something that's really very much in her repertoire but she's yet to do so much in this match now she's slicing and dicing let's see how this one goes lovely little drop shot there but patal is going to chase that down now we're going to go for the lob and it's going to force the error now we have a break point kolina mooka finally she's bringing out some of those slices and it worked for her it really did work for her but she needs to be able to pull off the lob which I'm pretty sure was going to land in hence the fact that uh Pini was really desperate to get a racket on that 21 minutes on the clock are we about to get our second break of the match oh it's an un returnable wasn't sure if that landed in I'm not sure if mug was unsure about it as well and we're back to juice okay going to serve into the forehand of mova forand now into the back hand of palini slice for Muka Muka up the line Muka good depth there oh but I think it's gone out indeed it has but again that must have been close a second break point of this game for kolina mova she was broken a couple of service games ago kolina but she's had two very strong service holds either side of that can she now gain parity here break point for the check backand return that won't bother her at all really good depth from there from kolina now she's got a short ball to deal with doesn't quite deal with it well enough though and now we're back at neutral drop shot Pini but mov is going to get this one easily but mov has not done enough there she's not done enough with that volley either now the loped ball and that's gone out and M's broken the variety of mova has helped her break without a Shadow of Doubt there and we are at three games all and I have to say thus far I think the match is living up to those expectations that I had we've had one break each we've had some excitement we've seen plenty of variety from mova we've seen plenty of fight and grit and also determination but also a sizzling forehanded times from uh palini both players might be just a little disappointed with the number of unforced errors that they've committed but maybe M slightly more than palini either way most important stat of all three games all M to serve goes long with that first serve and is that landed in from no it's just wide a couple of very close calls going against Pini so far today she's probably just a few Millers away from a 4-2 lead and looking very good for the first set as it is three all 15 love Carolina Muka back and return forand now M of a drop shot oh is that going to land in no short answer 15 all down the T backhand return backhand volley from oh lovely Carolina Ser volley there 3015 for kolina mova voling now from each PL but oh lovely forehand winner there for Muka Muka moving around the court with a Sumptuous Joy right now 405 she leads going to try and connect to the wi-fi at the change of ends so do bear with me as I do that but anyway 4015 for kolina mova first serve into the net second serve foran return a good second serve now they into the rally neutral position down the middle of the Court forehand to forehand good depth there for Muka but that's too wide it's one of those shots that occurred a couple of times already today as she's sort of trying to eek up an advantage in the valy she's gone wide from a neutral position down the middle of the court on the forehand side 4030 she still has a game point okay where you going with this serve you're going down the T 400 and the turn is long and M OFA holds for four games to three we will take a short break and we'll back with you on all things tennis all things tennis indeed mova now up 43 things have changed the perplexion of this match particularly after being a breakdown on serve but actually 43 in front P serving here 15 love lovely return there from Muka 15 all lovely return there from palini sorry from m o it's Pini who's just starting to shake a little bit she goes long on the backhand side as I say just a few millimeters in some of these shots but they are going the way of Carolina M at the moment in terms of the unforced errors uh coming off the racket of Jasmine palini okay 153 second serve forehand now it's cini at the net both of them at the net cat and mouse here but surely m is going to end up winning this one yes she does what a touch from kolina mova and boy oh boy oh boy things could be changing very very quickly now that cat and mouse scenario really is only likely to end in one winner Jasmine did well to hang on as long as she did to be honest what a touch there the in the end just a little dink over the net and a little Shake of the net afterwards and it's kolina Muka who has two break points and she could be serving for the first set how about that 3-2 put down with a break she's on the verge of winning the third game in a row and could be making it for very shortly okay backand now oh she went big on the backand too big as it turns out and she goes into the net for those of you just joining please hit the like button but and if you're new to the channel hit subscribe oh good return there a good serve there from Jasmine palini an UNR returnable serve meaning we're back at juice two break points save for the Italian P to serve into the run around forehand there for mova it's unusual unusual return style but nevertheless it's Pini who SS and we have a third break point for kolina Muk in this particular game a pained expression on Sarah arani's face as she hopes to Galvanize her charge back into this set because it's really slipping away from her right now 34 break point oh another unusual return swing volley has just landed in from Jasmine palini duu that was a tense Folly that she dealt with very well a tense moment let's say the volley actually wasn't that tense in terms of execution what is I don't know what M's doing with a couple of those returns into the body doesn't quite know what to do that was a runaround backhand almost oh it's a double F so that that drive volley was irrelevant it was a double fault Dearing me that wasn't very clear at least it wasn't clear to me maybe if we use watching at home it was that lob is going to land well out and it's love 15 so m here serving for a set good serve there from Mok serve volley lovely Carolina lovely 15 all down the T good serve and it's foro 3015 two points away from wi the first set here Carolina Into the Now on the first serve big moments now in the destination of this first set backand the return is Wayward from palini we've got two set points for Carolina Muka foran return is decent now mov is going to come to the but she's not going to need to worry about it she sealed the first set with a forehand winner and what a transformation from the check to be fair she had two very comfortable service holds either side of being broken she saw herself down 32 but then she charged back with four games in a row and she's very much in charge of this set this match right now we'll take a quick break when we come back we'll have the next set thanks for tuning in to this watch along while there's a break in Play here's a reminder to hit the like button subscribe and for hit that subscribe button so you don't miss out on all things tennis one or two people disagreeing me with me in the live chat I see suggesting that Pini was the favorite as I say it's really really close if you choose palini is your favorite I understand I Mo just because of uh the eye test and seeing how the two players are playing and that was my thought um Keen regarding your question about players off the tour yeah I guess doesn't always work out like that um but certainly there's probably an inclination towards players on the uh on the Challenger tour being a little bit less media Tred and and basically not having a PR person but you can still get great comments from the main tour as well so I think the most important thing is the characteristic of the person uh I'm just on the way to a hipster Cafe by the way so as I change location let's see uh let's see how this pans out see if I can maintain because I'm just trying to get a better internet connection so we could take us smoothly through the uh the second set uh might go outside actually and see how things pan out out there um here we go hi snill yeah exactly it's about levels snill for me uh which is why I went for M beforehand I just think that she has that level uh when she's peing okay we are back I'm going to try and connect to the Wi-Fi here as well so we have a nice smooth uh Passage through for the rest of the match [Music] looks like I'm down the te good depth there from mova now the back hand of M again jumps into that Novak esque slice there from both players they're going to insist on slicing I think there's only going to be one winner of that rally although they didn't insist on slicing as as Pini brought it back to normal so to speak and she holds for one love can you all hear me okay by the way give me a thumbs up in the live chat if you can still hear me okay yeah for me it's the Personality yeah exactly snill all about the levels that each player can reach okay so 15 love here on the book of a surf what [Music] okay forand now to forand 30 love on the book of a serve is that going to be a winner from Kina mova it is and a dejected looking Jasmine po something we don't see very often but I dejected Pini there okay backand return no it's not going to be necessary second serve sorry no first serf I CLI the net okay M to serve 40 L she leads backand return for Pini forand M foran Pini is long and we're at one game all one game all ladies and gentlemen [Music] coming up after this match on Louis Armstrong is going to be Jack Draper against Thomas Mah if you got any thoughts on that match do share them in the live chat and also if you got any thoughts on this m of a Pini match how it's panning out let us know your thoughts in the live chat please do hit the like like button etc etc slice now uh for M I think we might see that a little bit more often now in the second set that forehand was an opportunity there for M to go big but she went too big and it is 15 love to the [Music] Italian for hand turn now Pini is in this rally very much she's going for the drop shot m is going to chase that down oh that lob is going to land in from Pini Touch of Genius there from the Italian 30 love friend of the show we will have live commentary on EAS fion against samova later on this evening four F Clash uh I think it's about about midnight in Central European Time no midnight in uh uh British summertime oh a short ball there that Pini should be putting away at least the smile is back on her face she knows she should have dealt with that one better anyway 405 since I changed location nobody has said anything in the live chat so I'm hoping that you can all hear me loud and clear and now Pini does get a short ball that she does put away this time so it's 2-1 to the Italian uh we'll be back after a quick break thanks for tuning in to this watch along while there's a break in Play here's a reminder to hit the like button subscribe and click that hit that subscribe button so you don't miss out on all things tennis e [Music] I'm back ladies and gentlemen I'm back what have I missed two points going of Carolina M pretty comfortable on her serve Yogi can you hear me okay by the way that's a strong coffee [Music] [Music] okay so don't forget as I said really so far mova has looked very very comfortable on serve in every single game except [Music] one and that was when she got broken but it didn't matter didn't matter in the end [Music] and it's Muka who holds again fairly comfortably I'm very worried about whether you guys can hear me or not because uh every time I ask nobody he responds yog is not responding snel is not responding Keen is not responding Ashley is not responding Ashley 2 is not the spawning or maybe I call you Ashley one we got Ashley p and Ashley uh no I wouldn't ke you ask me such easy questions which I like by the way but no uh I don't need 50k Subs then but that suggests I do need alcohol I enjoy it Keen I enjoy it where's my sound man ghosty's not here today Jasmine looking quite comfortable here on serve so far in this set both players looking very very comfortable on serve and now it's 40 love for the Italian so three game points and Jasmine holds with consumate ease to love so on we go uh just going back to some of the action from yesterday uh let me know your thoughts in the live chat on the forets win for tifo andev um or the wins for Jen and saval [Music] Lenka what's going on in the Twitter sphere saber is what's coming out yeah I thought the criticism of Matt foot footman was way over the top um extremely unfortunate um lot of fun being made about how Chris Yanks looks exceptionally tall compared to the players uh yeah uh mostly learn myself keing regarding my tennis level same with the language thing nice view of New York [Music] there Jack Draper of course coming up maybe you've got some thoughts on that that particular encounter uh that he has he tries to reach the quarterfinals for a grand stand for the first time in his career we into the rally here on the Muka serve now it's a drive volley for Muka which he puts away lovely swed is are not that one course Daniel meev uh is in action later on today as is J Jessica boua Yanik as well in action later on tonight Tommy Paul maybe you've got some thoughts on that in fact let's do a Twitter poll shall we let me know your thoughts in the live chat who will win the US Open uh round four Clash uh between Yanik Sina and Tommy PA certainly the biggest challenge of sin's quest so far I would say s s the favorite understandably but I don't know I can see it I can see it going the distance and if it does Go the Distance Tommy Paul in five sets is a thing Tommy Paul in five sets is a thing I'm not sure that yanx is despite his uh five set win in Australia in the final earlier this [Music] year okay forand return from palini back hand slice from Muka let's see if she ends up winning this rally I'd be interested to know the stats on on how often when slice is deployed um M wins the rally in the end a nice well it's not so nice a drop shot actually Muka didn't execute well there and it's 1530 now on the Muka [Laughter] serve SN coming out with all the jokes today can you hear me okay SN by the way I keep asking that question and nobody's yet to give me a firm answer how tall are you snill by the way by the way one thing I want to point out is how inaccurate the ATP website is regarding the heights of players particularly lower down the tour that's something that I would highlight regarding some of the Challenger players they're basically 5 centimeters taller than what it says on the ATB website okay 30 all great now great do hit the like button by the way everybody if you're watching on YouTube and you have not been here before or you have yet to subscribe click that subscribe button and if you do you'll get to see this wonderful figure tick over oh Mish hit forehand there from Jasmine palini spe [Music] yeah would it be considered average in Europe I'd say it's maybe even slightly higher than the average I'd say about 5'9 510 is average of course you get a lot of tall people in in the Netherlands for example Germany maybe Scandinavia but um elsewhere it's much lower um okay we're into the rally here three all on J in Pini serving it's Pini who hits forehand long so love 15 okay back in a turn from m love 30 now big moments here I mean the match could be done in very very short space of time [Music] spe Pini here forand of Muka forand Pini forand M backhand Pini oh Pini lovely volley Jasmine Pini Take a Bow Wow I am 5'9 snare Hill so 1 M 76 3 cm shorter than Adrian Andre har goes long on the first serve we are at 30 all now she was in a spot above here the talent she still might be of course she loses the next Point look coming in look at that saber attack and there she brings up a break point the first one I believe of this second set [Music] and look of the breaks wow wow wow [Music] wow MOA I told you she was the favorite told you so two games away from backto back US Open quarterfinals let's have a quick look to see what's going on in the Twitter sphere oh let's have a quick look at the uh poll that I've got going on Twitter as well H do follow us on Twitter by the way at talking tennis uh also give us a follow on Instagram please if you have Instagram and you watch us all the time or you're just new to the channel but you haven't followed us there we need followers otherwise we can't bring you this content because when we're trying to get approved to these T tournaments and trying to get content for you guys they go well how many followers do you have on Twitter how many followers do you have on Instagram how many subscribers do you have on YouTube and if we're not at 10,000 subscribers on YouTube and we're not at 10,000 followers on Twitter and we don't have 1,000 followers on Instagram well we can't do anything we're hamstrung and hit that like button as well so here's the thoughts of Daniel Harris from the guardian M gets to love 30 but an error then a lovely volley from pal in BRS level that's true that lovely volley where I said let's take a bow for the Italian but then she goes down 34 and she can't control her response to the look of a forand to the corner and at 3634 with a break it's looking ominous right now for the Italian it would not be the comeback of the century but but you get the point hey yay 30 Love Now Mo 30 love becomes 40 love gain points now for a 53 lead not at all surprising if someone has Peak Muka you can only defend up to a certain point you need weapons to actually beat her um yeah exactly snail and there you go unforce UNR return serve and we're at 53 absolutely snill good analysis by the way SN do we follow each other on Twitter we probably do I don't don't know the reminder that kin Wen Jen is through to uh her second consecutive uh US Open quarterfinal it was at that stage that she went out last year can she go further than she did a year ago MOA she goes further than she did a year ago she'll be in her first US Open final and second Grand Slam final of her career which would be an incredible way to end her grand slam season that's basically been destroyed oh no palini with an over head that she tried to be a bit clever with she tried to be clever and instead of Smashing it just went for the little T and completely mishit it love 15 I hope she holds at least for here okay forand out a forehand this could be done in a minute oh what a forehand winner from Alina Mo now it's her turn to take a bow boy oh boy oh boy Carolina m 1530 okay down the T forand the turn into play Oh but that backand is Wayward from Jasmine palini and we have two match points now for kolina mova how quickly has this match turned on its head wow two match points down the T it's long second serve from 32 in the first set forand return from M forehand M again crosscourt and she's won it with a forehand winner a forehand winner from kolina mova and she's over the line wow [Music] wow well let's have a quick look at Twitter and then we'll come into the nuts and bolts of this particular match um see what the Twitter SPH got to say but my thoughts are basically this listen the the match turned on its head we had Jasmine palini um up a break at 32 I think what's really important though to remember that at 32 um Muka was actually far more comfortable on her serve than the score line suggested because the two holes she had were just so comfortable for her Pini snatched the break in between okay takes advantage of that but some of the slicing and dicing at that point at 32 onwards did seem to go the way of Muka Muka I love these comments from snill by the way because that's what it's all about for me is that you can't outplay Muka and it's not surprising because Pete Muka wins the match and we've almost had p m today we've had almost Pete Muka for large parts of this tournament and it was for those reasons that I thought that Peak mver which we've seen throughout the tournament if the two players played as they had done throughout the tournament kolina Moville was going to win and that's exactly what happened let's have a quick listen actually to what um on theg stages in tennis that was really impressive work today taking the world five can you share with us a little of the game plan and how you feel like you executed today thank you first of all thank you very much um the plan well the plan what was the plan uh C you don't want to say too much I know the plan was try to play my game honestly I was little bit was little bit nervous from the just a littleit windy bit windy today she was a bit nervous she lost just five points on her serve huge lots of those points coming in just one game of course just lost five points on serve in the whole matchy I know you've been through injury before did you always believe that you would be back here playing your best tennis um at those time I I didn't really think of what's what's going to happen honestly this was my worst and most serious injury I would say but yeah I mean I love the sport so in my head I was like I do everything I could to make it better and then try and here I am today I'm very Greatful she's really grateful for all the support and help that she's had over the last 12 months and we we've barely seen her on the court since that semifinal of last year all right I can see Damian backstage so I'll turn off kolina Muka and we'll uh get Damian forward maybe I'll plug in my earphones as well do you want me to bring you forward Daman because maybe you're on your phone I'm going to put my earphones in yeah I think I need to bring It Forward yeah now I'm fine yeah I was trying to get my camera to work um in a bit of a different setup at the moment but yeah it's fine now okay so obviously we've just seen M of um I mean I'm I'm temped say the word destroy Jasmine Pini I think snill brings up some really good points and these were my pre-match thoughts that basically Peak Muka which we've seen during spells of this tournament particularly against Osaka beats Peak palini and I don't know if palini has any answers to that and I don't think she did die yeah and I think that actually goes for a lot of players in the wte toour right I mean mova just has such a wide skill set she can pretty much do it all um I think this event even has been like really helpful for us in terms of understanding that you know she probably more I are on oaka before their match in the second round yeah and she's just brilliant in there obviously she should have lost the second set that I'm I'm kind of not disagreeing with that but she's absolutely brilliant in there and yeah I mean she's got so much more tools than so many more tools than Pini and um yeah just purely like strictly tennis quality wise yeah I I don't think it's close so if she plays well and I think since going down a bit early yeah maybe wouldn't call a destruction but certainly it was a pretty comprehensive display as well which is great because like you you want to see her follow this up right you don't want to have her play one good match and then either struggle with her health or or I don't know just just not repeat it right now she's doing it and yeah she's pretty much as dangerous as anyone else I think in this event we've barely seen her on a core I know she's had a few matches but we've barely seen her you know seriously on a coure I know I think she I think she's reach one final but let's talk about big tournaments since that US Open semifinal last year which is as memorable for people gluing themselves to the to the stadium if you remember that match against Coco go and it's just it's so good to see her back I just didn't think we'd get this level as soon as we have I thought I hoped we'd get six months of injury three kolina Muka and we'd see a steady steady incline but for her to win that match against Osaka and Propel herself to a second consecutive US Open quarterfinal for me is is just out of this world I think she's playing better at this US Open than last year honestly like I remember last year I wasn't really thinking of her as like a you know true winning Contender and now I think she is one so yeah I I just believe that she's actually stronger at the moment and uh is does it come super early kind of I mean she returned in like what June or something like that right so well it's been some time but yeah it's been like this I guess the entire career of mova she just comes back and she kind of reminds you right away that healthy she is you know top 10 at least and um and yeah that's what she's been doing here who is she gonna play the quarters can you remind me I thinking to say I no I was thinking I'm just doing I know what it is in the top I mean at the top you got Schneider no no because you got Schneider going against good news good news the battle of the of the pushers wasaki had admire yeah that's amazing that's amazing for car yeah I I really like her chances to get to the semis yeah um me too um and I'd be I mean actually these two players I mean I'm more I'm more aware of had admire being in the draw because of that controversial moment the other day wasaki I don't think I've seen a single minute of her mat yeah because wasaki has won her matches like 6262 except and it's like it's impressive but she also had the easiest possible draw to get to the Forefront like really you couldn't come up with a better one yeah yeah it was hio ponet and zarazua I think if memory is right yeah I mean hasn't faed anyone dangerous anyone with weapons there so if she was playing um I mean I know Spina is not someone with weapons but I think they had a pretty good match last year and or she was playing coco or she was playing saal or someone I would have probably tuned in or at least been aware of what's going on but yes she's slipped into this this round four she may even slip into the quarterfinals but um Mor against NE of those two players will be a very big Clash of styles yeah I mean had Maya does not have to play like vaki does all the time I think she's a lot more um well she mixes up her play style more depending on the level of confidence depending on a lot of things but yeah I mean moova is the favorite against either so that's that's really good for her and yeah I would I would agree with SN that yeah Osaka por are more dangerous opponents maybe stylistically maybe faki is going to cause some issues to moova I don't actually how moova handles players like this but I mean she can approach the net she can kind of slice her way out of stuff probably she's going to do fine I mean it's tough not to be like really high on Karina mova right now yeah and she's a better mover as well andless unless she just has an off day this match today whether I want to move on just very quickly to palini and then and then bring this to a close because I know we've got to do another recording ourselves um but um uh just this match I mean to remind those are just tuning in if they're just looking for some analysis is we had you know basically was the sorry um I'm getting confused M was so comfortable on serve throughout the match except one game she lost five points I think on serving the entire game her her two service holds of of either side of being broken I think were to love and it was just that service game in between that gave us a match but then she wins four games in a row introducing some of that incredible style and and that was the difference and the second set didn't have many breakpoint opportunities until halfway through and then she ends up breaking twice to get the job done palini I want to have one final word on her uh which is I don't really know where we go I was worried for her with those particularly the second slam final that she had this year at Wimbledon I thought she's probably got to win today because I mean I know I don't want to get carried away with someone who's I think 28 years old but you know you're probably in the second half of your career at that stage and with what she has she has to strike and she struck in in Dubai I think it was at that 1,000 this year um and that's great she struck well when she had the opportunity to get to the French Open final but what are you going to do you're coming up against one of if not someone who's going to go on to become the greatest play quarter of all time at least on the women's side nothing you can do there and although I don't rate her as highly on grass as I do on clay that was probably her chance Wimbledon and I I think we're now probably was we're going back to the norm if you like with with this sort of fourth round exit yeah I mean it let's not be greedy regarding her I mean she's had an awesome season uh don't know if it's going to be repeated I mean probably not just because you know there's like a low of let's say averages and I would assume that it doesn't happen every month for her from now on but yeah certainly Wimbledon was a big chance just because well she also faced the opponent in the mova style where like if kova is playing at her best there's not much she can do really however clearly there was there were opportunities in that final so um yeah I mean she's just had an awesome year the Forefront here it's still a great result before this year she was never in even a fair round at a grand slam but yeah I mean you can't really do much sometimes and that actually Jose is right here that like Talent of mova is just unfair to Pini in a way and um there's not much can sometimes yeah and I mean there's there's only there's only a few players in the world that can sort of play their own game I mean two of them are definitely left in the draw so that's the bad news for her and one of them is on her side but the good news is she won't be playing seon potentially until the semi-finals uh at least um nland we'll definitely answer some of your random questions some of the time if you've got anything very quickly to bring up regarding Pini and look of a wonderful uh if not we'll we'll come to you some other the time time on on your beautiful beautiful questions that are not tennis uh related uh yeah all right well I think that does uh bring us to a close because we've got things to move on to I know you'll be back in I'm not sure if it's five or six hours for um for spon Tech is
