what's going on guys it's Cal here from Buffalo sports center and today we're going to be discussing Terry Pula now I know a lot of you guys love him a lot of you guys hate him let's just jump right into it is Terry Pula the right man for the job to own both Buffalo sports teams now I know there's some rumors going around that he's looking to sell one or both of the teams I know the Savers came up in the off season there was a mystery NHL owner that wanted to sell his team a lot of people thought it might have been Terry we flip around to the bill side of things there's been rumors and he actually already has looked into selling even more of a percentage of the bills to other people again Terry Pula still wants to be a majority owner but how long is that going to last I don't know so let's start with the Sabers here because this is I think what most people are frustrated about the Savers are in one hack of a playoff drought and it is been forever since the team has had any success again two years ago they scored a bunch of goals but didn't have goal tending and guess what last year it didn't last at all the team was crumbling and you know hopefully this year goes a little better but they didn't do much in the off season and that is mainly because of the potential internal cap that Terry Pula has put on this Buffalo Sabers team now I know what you guys are thinking internal cap you know that's not confirmed you can't really say that without having that confirmed that's a big ACC accusation ladies and gentlemen it's pretty much confirmed that Terry Pula has an internal cap on the Sabres I mean how many times have we seen the Sabers turn down moves to take on big contracts when they have open cap space to make this team better in the future it happens every offseason the Sabers do nothing with their available cap and they refuse to spend money to get to that cap ceiling heck the Sabers even you know they'll they'll sign injured players that are never going to put on a Sabers uniform just to get to the cap floor that is how poverty this team is right now so just with that alone Terry pigula has got to change his mentality or he's got to go with the Buffalo Savers I know he gave the team a lot of money a couple years ago and he's been failed by coaches and GMS over and over and over again it's got to be frustrating for Terry but at the end of the day you own the professional sports team you cannot give up like this and just let the team flounder in the standings year after year after year it's one of the most frustrating things to be a Savers fan when you know the owner is not giving his GM enough money to do things now again a GM isn't going to throw the owner under the bus Kevin Adams isn't going to come out tomorrow and say guys I had a couple deals set in place but Terry said no so our team you know we we ended up just signing a bunch of bottom six guys Terry pigula is not going to do that or Kevin Adams and Terry pigula they're not going to come out and say that they are going to try to hide this internal cap for as long as possible now again there's no way to confirm this without the owner throwing you know everyone under the bus and letting everyone know that hey I do have an internal cap you know my family has an internal cap I'm done wasting money on these guys and you know I don't blame Terry pigula for thinking that but again if you're going to own this professional NHL team again we're not talking about a minor league team this is a professional team Major League one of the major four leagues in the United States of America and you're going to put an internal cap on that is absolutely unacceptable I mean you see that stuff happen in baseball all the time the Pittsburgh Pirates are a major team that just throws Their Stars away the Oakland Athletics another one that just throws Their Stars away you know some of these teams you know if they just would have paid their own guys and signed a couple free agents they could have won championships but instead they don't they throw and trade away their guys so they don't have to spend money and that's what we're seeing with the Savers time and time again prime example of that is buying out Jeff Skinner now I know you could make a thousand excuses why they bought out Jeff Skinner maybe Lindy roof didn't like him maybe his defense wasn't that good but guess what he's a 30 goal scorer through and through and you you know you got to replace that if you're going to get rid of that the Sabers have yet to replace that not even close I mean they've signed a couple guys that could get you maybe 10 a year but that's it they have not replaced Jeff Skinner at all and they still have around $6 to8 million in cap at the time of this recording this is a guy that has a net worth of $6.8 billion again just unacceptable unacceptable now let's switch over to the bills side of things because Terry pigula has actually done a pretty solid job with the bills now whether you want to call it luck or not Terry Pula has found a very confident GM in Brandon Bean who has been able to lead this team to countless playoff appearances since the drought ended and I got to say sha mcder for as much as we may not like him and may not like his clock management some of his decisions he gets out coached in the playoffs quite a bit he's got this team to the playoffs multiple times in a row now as well so Terry Pula has maybe been lucky maybe skillful but has found his dynamic duo for now again if the bills you know choke a couple more playoff appearances you know you can't waste Josh Allen's career too much they might have to restart but you know Terry pagul is's done a good job with the bills he's also given them a bunch of money right they signed Von Miller that's a contract that you would have never saw under another owner here in Buffalo but Terry Pula has given Brandon Bean the amount of money he needs to spend up to the cap ceiling and Beyond again countless times over the last couple years Brandon means had to restructure multiple deals to make the cap work that shows you Terry Pula is just giving out his entire bank account to this Buffalo Bills team so why is he not doing the same with the Savers a team that requires much less money to become a better team that is the question and again I I get it if you're a little bit hesitant if you don't believe again we've heard this multiple times the Savers don't want to go all in until they have a plan but we've been hearing this for 13 years now that the endless rebuild has got to stop and if that means Terry Pula has to sell the team that's what it's going to take let me know in the comment section below what you guys think about Terry Pula do you think he should sell
