Buongiorno. Hello Vogue,
I'm Monica Bellucci. We're at the Venice Film Festival
to present Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Follow me. So, it's a bit like... You see clothes everywhere
and the wonderful people I work with. There you go. I'm very honoured today
to be in this wonderful place, the Venice Film Festival. Because here,
great films, like author films,
will receive the recognition they deserve through this festival.. Here we are. This dress is by
Vivienne Westwood. My jewelry is Cartier. And by the way, Monica,
I noticed that your first role was Dracula. I love everything that's
fantasy, imagination, also because I think cinema
represents dreams. And sometimes, through dreams,
we can better understand reality. The role of Delores
is somewhat the common thread of the film. She is a real villain, but she also has
something touching about her, and despite that,
she is dangerous. She also has a funny side. I haven't done much comedy
in my career. Asterix, of course,
is one of the best experiences I've had in cinema. And it's true that
in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, we have a comedic tone. But despite that,
there's also depth, because we're also talking about life, death and, above all, love. Have you ever played a
dead character before? No, this is the first time
I've played a dead woman, yet alive. I acted a bit
like a mime, a bit like a broken doll. To do this scene, all of a sudden,
she enters the stage and it's rebuilt in a way. I had to learn
a choreography. It took us 2-3 days
to shoot the scene. But I have to say I had a lot of help,
because I had 3 hours of make-up every day to do the scars. I had magnificent
costumes by Atwood. All my scenes
are with Michael Keaton. And I'm very honoured to be part
of this magnificent cast and to enter Tim Burton's fantastic, poetic and comic world. And it's also a film about women,
because 3 generations of women are represented in the film. At times, they go to war with each other,
but we sense that there's a lot of mutual love and protection. A mother-daughter duo, and your
daughter who becomes an actress... Did you recognise yourself a little? It's true that when you become a mother,
you have other priorities. That means I'm still passionate about
my work, I still have a lot of love for what I do. But it's true that you become
even more distant because there are other priorities. I see that Deva is happy
and that fills my heart with happiness. I know she's very passionate
about what she does and curious. And to feel
that energy is wonderful for a mother. Goodbye Vogue. I'm going to catch my boat. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.
