Jack it looks good on you app open it right up for questions Alex Smith last night talked about that practice in Napa oh yeah I think it was 2009 when you think back about your career is there a game or a moment or year that jumps out to you Year my mom pass the r game it was tough oh man it hard because you know every every morning know I I got a call from her and that call didn't come and just it was hard to get up it was hard to get up no matter what what I did try to do get up it was hard but um I remember when she first went to the hospital got sick I was in junior high school and when I went to the when I went to when I went to the hospital she told me um she wanted me to go out there and play and and then the week she died I knew she know what she really wanted me to do um and I remember to play was one got the big touch down help us win the game and I just knew that I felt like she was because I didn't even know how I got out um to get to the touchdown so I know she was out there with me so probably won the game I remember Frank have you uh worn a jersey since you left here I left yeah a 49ers jersey oh no this the first one kind of kind of cool putting it back huh yeah it's cool you know it's my family man I always be be to Hall of Fame had a great 10 years here that great people had great teammates all wish could just W one Frank when you look back at your career with the 49ers and not even just your teammates but members of the front office employees up and down this organization just how would you characterize yeah how would you characterize it best um like I like I always tell J the York family man it was a blessing to me and my friend took a chance from me a lot of people took me off their boards you know my injuries and St something me and Mr signed off on it and got me here and tried my best to give give them all and I did give them all only thing I say I wish that me and my teamates could have got a Super Bowl could have great you know I'm happy I'm happy to be back I'm happy to be part of the organization our family is great this organization great me and my family Frank you finished your last six years away from here not suggesting like you were depressed and bummed about it but I mean was there something missing like when you weren't playing for the 49ers I love it was it was I I was great the when I did leave the other organization was great to me it was great but it just you know that that when you get a call come out of college and this this team called me um that nobody else probably didn't want to take that chance because my was they scared of they wasn't here so um it was the love that you you have for the first team who D you is different when you go somewhere else because they didn't know what they was getting here you know um I show other team that the 49 made the right decision so it was easy to come get me out you know what because what I've done here for years so um that's that was a big difference your relationship with she told me last night I'm thir something um and I believe it anytime I call she pick up she call me as by my family as about my kids how you doing even when I left she called me she was upset but she told me son go get a Super Bowl um and for her to call me after I leave um 49 her organization tell me to go win somewhere with a different different team that was big to me and I remember when we the 49ers to the coach I was with the coach every time every time she here she going to be I'm the first guy she come up to get me a h before the game when I was coach um everybody come get me I come outside she there give me that hood give me a go go to war against my her her own team so um she's special person special woman special lady in my life Frank you have a red jacket on today but can you imagine what it be like to put a gold jacket on one day man we um this the first one um they they got to talk me up man y'all got to talk me up you know in two more years hopefully you know we get that call but it' be a blessing um cuz my career wasn't easy it wasn't easy to get here uh took a lot for me to you know even get Dro it um people told me I'll be here in two or three years not even 3 years and I was blessed to play 16 years and I played years way I love the game the way I work um and the way I been raised by my mom so that's why I tell my kids man and I want them to just keep their head down keep working not just in sports and everything like so yeah I'm I've been blessed Frank would it be particularly meaningful to be a first ballot Hall of Famer yeah that would be special but I just want to get in you know I'm a first man that would be special you're you're in your second year doing Personnel stuff for 49ers so you are part of this organization again what's your evaluation on on this team and this season coming up here um I think we be fine I know the offseason was kind of crazy but know these guys been playing together for a couple years um they veteran guys they know what to take um and I know like um people prob worry about tring going be okay I think they don't feel like be okay play but I think we come out you know great group of guys um T the team and you know we just want to you know hope we get startonight you impress upon youngers are coming in the building what AAL organiz yeah I do I tell them they came to a great organization great people take advantage of the situation right here my most rememberable moment will be when when we went down to Atlanta beat one beat Atlanta NF championship and I say that because the guys who I who I played with we all came came in you know around two or three years in the league we the last St NFL and my seventh year Pat fifth year year and Alex seven year we one of the best team in the NFL and it was the same guys who everybody used to we got the opportunity to show what we was what we was about in in this organization Frank what was your welcome to the can't remember because come from Miami already I felt like NFL just whatever you know compe with all the talent we had on that on the teams down there so I was just cool you know I just had to it took me I say took me a couple days I I say a day or two and once I got comfortable with the play I ready play so I really don't have no we to good Frank you sorry you're like dude I'm done uh but you know you talk about two shoulders two knees it was a big deal right I mean did you have any sort of doubts about whether you could medically do this I had any kind of doubt that would be no yeah like just if your body was going to cooperate in the NFL um I didn't I knew you know once I got healthy um cuz I know I know the way you know I I work the offseason I I used to be crazy working out man and I I knew like if I couldn't work out I couldn't play as long as I'm working out and feeling good and I was going to be fine so I never had no Js
