W out the VMA 2024 has concluded and we got some things to talk about did it feel just a little okay all right was it just me or did this VMA kind of came and went some awards were bought darling M some are saying this year's host did better than last year's host oh let's watch the performances together and see if we got the same opinions girl well let's have a conversation about it because this show choir when I started to doing my own music it took me a minute to get to know me as a performer of my own voice my own agilities my own runs and like what's my pop out situations and finding yourself individually as an artist it's not easy but also when the peak of your artist development has been in a group for a long time and it ain't that easy to try to find whatever works for you and what is your gigiana you know what I mean all right yes ma'am feel it you better feel it [ __ ] you better walk hey yeah come on boys am I tripping a little bit but does it not seem like Miss La Lisa ly L got just some like little awkward moments in between just like there's just like some quiet awkwardness in between each set or between like the trans there's something off about this performance and I don't know how to put my finger on it it's not a bad performance though right right it's not bad but something's not you know what I'm saying cuz I know my girl La Lisa love me L Lisa love me like I know my girl and I know she gets down but for some reason something seems like she's holding herself back or like I don't know I feel like she's in her head in this performance and like I said I do empathize with her a little bit because I know how hard it is when you come from a girl group and you are still much in a girl group because I think black pink is very much still alive they just doing solo things at the moment but you know I don't know just something seems a little off seems like it's not the same l l song the lighting is sickening oh my baby me I'm sorry smisha he was in the it just seemed like something was bothering her a little bit what do you guys think I just know how my girl Lisa gets down if you don't know Lisa like that girl she's from the iconic group black pink because I really love this girl but as I watched this performance back and looking at the other performance we're going to talk about you know further in this in this call I have to say this performance was a little tired you know she looked glamored is O The Flossy flossy but I do feel like it was a little lackluster I'm kind of Yearning For more so even though she is Fab she looks Fab I've seen Sabrina perform better than this and I just had to intervene really quickly because I'm watching this back and I don't think it's fair to some other people on this call that I said like oh you know I wish I had more and I'm watching this and I'm like gagging but it's because I really love Sabrina so so to be all fair love you girl this performance is it's it's a little tired all right back to the call absolutely Fab love every piece of that that was a Bop that was a Bop that was cute that was old Hollywood for some some reason that gave me like a reference to Diamonds is a Girl's Best Friend by Mel Monroe or Madonna maybe Am I Wrong am I right something that was that not the clear reference maybe that's the reason why she wore the Bob Macky can we start the fact that she wore not even on her by the way camera not even own her at all still doing Coro full out and amping up her featured guest you could hear baby come on now we getting this we almost through we almost done we're in the last stretch of the performance W come on y'all let me hear that one more time Megan she said come on girl Megan said come on y'all [ __ ] I love good job Megan good job babes that was a good that was cute I did want I did expect more though I have to be honest with you you're the host of the show I don't know if the bmas didn't give her like a big budget to perform but like I have to be honest I did expect her to have like a lot more I did expect her to almost have as much as like Katy Perry would have like I don't know what Katy Perry's performance looks like but I'm going to assume ktie Katy Perry's cuz she's getting honored as getting the Vanguard award she's going to have a a nice big budget I'm not saying megga should have the same budget as Katy Perry because that wouldn't be fair that doesn't sound right you know for politics reasons but like you know what I am saying is I did expect a little bit more like maybe an outfit change or like some more prop sore I mean she had dancers she had the drums I don't know why I thought more Snake rebirth things I don't know something about that performance also seemed like it was lacking but like not Megan though Megan at it was something about the atmosphere the the set even something seemed bare something seemed like you know we're going to focus on the hosting part oh we do have to perform does that make sense like it seemed like performing was not an afterthought but like was on the priority list like it seemed like hosting was the priority make sure she good good hosting oh and she does need to perform so let's get that out the way but because Megan is a seasoned performer you know she could put together a show in like a day or two and make it work I'm sure not saying that's what happened but something about it seemed as though it was kind of last minute thought I don't know could even down like the dancers costumes looked a very little Amazon and then oh boy's mic is off you know what I mean like I do wish his mic was on but then again that could be because of language barriers and things I don't know I don't know good performance but just doesn't feel like woo VMA it feels like like that's not a VMA performance I will remember but since we are here on female hip hop let's get into gorilla huh let's do that all right let's see what's going on up in here all right everybody know she's one of the biggest pop stars in the world that's a lot to go through and I need people to just give a little bit more empathy just a little bit more empathy please I think I think chaperon is handling this new rise to fame gracefully better than most because like what she's going through is nothing there's no book to study there is no you know shoulder to lean on besides the ones that came before you that's why I'm happy to see like my mother monster and like other you know Pop Star Legends giving her her comfort and and telling her like it's okay I got you first of all she cakey just wish like good performance by the way once again once again there's not been a bad performance yet by the way there has not been a bad performance it's just not legendary to me I'm not seeing any legendary performances tonight where it's like oh wow yeah what a time you you just had to be there no I'm not getting none of that this year and you know we'll get to Katy Perry CU I'm G to let her close it out so hopefully she's getting the Vanguard award so she better be the one to take it but I wanted chaperon to have like this moment because she's also very very animated and like she is like the girl that does like the weird crazy things with her performances so I was expecting her to have like this moment where on that high note she either gets stabbed stab a dragon cut off behead a dragon something or she could be lifted up I don't know if a good performance the short choreography all that the entrance was amazing that was good that was good and because the entrance was amazing I was expecting more does that makes sense that's all I'm saying Chapel good job though I just once again I'm I find myself longing for more though all right I'm not looking forward to this all right getting and I think why I'm finally warming up to it is because Katy Perry this is like you putting together what we love about Katy Perry in the past and what we want from Katy Perry in the future and you're com you're finally connecting the dots Katie Perry has finally connected the dots and that's why I like this I feel like we're building the world of 143 first of all finally like I feel like I'm finally seeing the world of 143 and not just Woman's World and like lackluster pop music like uninspired pop music I'm not just getting that cuz even what's that four live song it's very uninspired very it's like girl girl you could anybody could have made this like you're Katy Perry stop playing like be the legend that you are no shade and I know that Katy Perry is getting a lot of hate and a lot of like it's fun to pile on Katy Perry but we have to realize Katy Perry's Legend okay and even I be like Katy Perry girl what because that award that she won of most iconic VMA performance for her Roar performance which is crazy which like if we look at this performance this is already [ __ ] on anything of that per I don't even know how that performance looks but like clearly MTV gave her that W because she's the Honore tonight no shade or her label paid for it no shade because the Press we need the press for this album no shade Katie I think this performance is waking the girls up because this is now combining the old Katie with the new Katie of what we wanted from the new Kati and evolution right where it's still camp but it's like evolved and she's like a new she's not a new girl but like just an evolved girl when it comes to this and I love it Catherine and Hudson absolutely absolutely combine the new world with this one girl period hello where is it all right cute performance I mean best performance of the night honestly Katie saved the night if I had to be honest in my humble opinion Katie had the best performance of the night that intro that whole first half of the performance was the best show of the entire night all right that was the VMAs y'all there some other performances I really don't care about but I'm sure you guys do go watch it kind of came and left in my opinion I think Katy P had the best performance I think Sabrina did a bombass job Katy Per also say you know careers that last over a decade is no accident okay girl we get it you're legendary we we love you girl we love you I think chaperon did an amazing job I think Megan did a really good job as a host like the old to Beyonce the old to Britney Spears like I really loved Megan as a host but I I knew she was going to do a good job though I knew Megan was G do job I mean Megan has a bombass personality so I was notp I'm not surprised that she did a good job as a host no shade I know some of you guys are asking me I can feel it in the back of my head Nikki or Megan's hosting I think I like both if I had to be honest I think I like both for different reasons though and I'm not even trying to say that to be like nice or political cuz like you know I would say yes or no to either one but I like facets of each host so to be honest either one of them could do it again and I'll be fine like Nikki to me on a mic is unpredictable I don't know where she's going to go with this I don't know what she's going to do I don't know what she got up her sleeve you know Nikki can you know she could pull some out her ass like yeah oh oh that wasn't on the script you know what I mean and I think Megan could too but like I like that Megan stays on cute but yet has a
