Through a sea of purple. The football team walks into Husky Stadium. Our husbands have been down there for a couple hours for the tailgate, the home opener and getting there just got a whole lot easier. This is the one the first weekend of the link light rail extension to Lynwood. Look, it's very crowded now. Diane Christensen and, and Mason live in Lynwood. Safe to say they've been waiting a long time for this. Sure beats the alternative. You had to go all the way to shoreline, then drive and then leave the car there and then go and then come back. So this is amazing. They're on their way to meet their tailgating there. We would have been just two of the many fans piling out of the train, many of them in Linwood, one of four new stations along the 8.5 mile long extension trains run about every 4 to 6 minutes. Construction finally began in 2019. After first being approved in 2008, it's been such a long time and now it's here and it's beautiful and clean and friendly, the meckling from wood and packed the entire family out of the light in the past, we've spent a lot of time in traffic, uh, trying to find a place to park down there and walk in a giant distance to get to the stadium. So this seemed a lot, a lot more fun. We get the whole family here, the ride from Linwood to Husky Stadium only about 20 minutes, 20 minutes of sitting back catching up. I don't know where they're going to put the ash one and skipping traffic on campus with plenty of time to spare. So for most of the week, these trains run from five in the morning until one in the morning. So plenty of time to get back from the Husky game or just about anywhere else live in Linwood, Jim Nelson King Five News.
