there is officially a quarterback controversy inside the Vikings locker room because reports coming out of Minnesota are suggesting that JJ McCarthy might be closing in on that starting job Vikings training camp got underway this week and here are some key takeaways from the first couple days first round pick Dallas Turner stated how going up against Christian derasa in practice is going to make games a lot easier Aaron Jones impressed as he looks like the clear running back one and he even stated he's looking have 15 plus touchdowns this season but of course all eyes were on the quarterbacks Sam darnold had an up and down start to his training camp as he made some great throws on day one but struggled on day two this opened the door for McCarthy and he took advantage hitting wide receivers in stride fitting throws into Tight Windows JJ was turning heads all practice McCarthy is slowly working himself up the depth chart and if he keeps playing like this you really never know what could happen come week one
