Certainly not the case here in Gainesville. For Florida Gators fans, it had been 34 years since the Gators lost a home opener. Not only did they lose today, but the Miami Hurricanes dominating Florida in this opener. What a way to start the season for Mario Cristobal's team he had preached throughout the off season through camp that things would be different this team was making progress part of that progress, the addition of quarterback Cam Ward and his debut today, the transfer from Washington State, outstanding to Xavier Restrepo, 24 yard touchdown. Canes on top 24 to 10. Ward far from done. Third quarter. Look at this play. Buys time spins out. Keeps his head up. Makes a throw to the end zone a strike to Jacolby George 23 yard score to Ward with 385 yards passing in his Miami debut , and three touchdowns and one away for the canes to start the season.
