all right we are looking at a colder air MK a cooler air MK let's put it that way in place right now temperatures are falling humidity is dropping as well as this cold front has just come through behind it still a lot of cloud cover and we still have this mass of rain right here that's moving over eastern Lake Erie it's moving up towards the GTA it will likely hit areas like York and Durham as we head through the overnight period but it's likely going to graze downtown as well this is the cold front bringing some heavier rain east of Peterboro right now not looking at any lightning within that but some heavy downpours definitely as it continues to push East now it's 21 degrees now and I say it's cooler but it's more so that the humidity is falling and the wind has now switched around to the Northwest uh as temperatures tonight dropping into the mid teens by midnight and continuing down to about 12 or 13 degrees so that's your morning wakeup temperature now that 12 or 13 is going to feel cooler because the wind out of the Northwest it's going to pick up through the afternoon we've got gusts up to about 4 km per hour tomorrow and then on Sunday especially wind coming in off of bodies of water you can see that red hugging the shorelines that's where we're looking at some stronger wind gusts in the morning and then through the afternoon up to about 50 kilometers per hour in some spots so it's a windier Day on Sunday than it will be on Saturday and still Breezy overnight into Monday morning now this is the area of low pressure that's bringing us the cloud the rain and the windy conditions on the back side of it this is a smaller system that's just going to roll through through Monday afternoon with some scattered showers once these two are done so that's your Saturday Sunday and Monday then we get into high pressure so that's going to bring us a stretch of sunny weather as well as warmer weather this is the 1 to two week temperature Outlook from the climate Prediction Center in the US it is forecasting warmer than normal temperatures across the Great Lakes on the US side and that's likely going to carry forth to the Canadian side as well and we can see that warmth that is coming back for next week now when I say warm we're talking about 6 7° above average I didn't put any 30s in there yet right now I'm going with high 20s along with that Sunny stretch that begins on Tuesday but we could very well squeeze out a couple of 30s especially around the Niagara Peninsula next week so prepare for and layer up for this cooler weekend ahead
