this needs to stop ladies and gentlemen emad canu exited the US Open losing in the first round but the amount of backlash that I've seen her get is ridiculous but we'll get into that into the video and we I'll see it from my perspective and I want to hear your perspectives in the comments but as always make sure you leave a like comment and subscribe today we're going to be talking about as I mentioned emic car news first round loss in the US Open today and yeah we're going to go over what and why there has been such an overreaction in my opinion to her when it is her losing compared to other players but yeah this is my opinion again so let me know yours in the comments make sure you leave a like comment and subscribe so hope hopefully we build this community together but yeah let me get straight into this and yes this has to stop so let me set the scene Emma Raku last night played her first round match and she lost in three sets obviously the first set she got lost 61 came back won the second and then lost the third she was playing against a former Grand Slam Champion as well so that's important to remember so she's not playing against an awful player emanu yes she lost to the 2021 Champion she won here in that miracle miracle run here at the US Open a few years back but she lost in her first round and yeah this was quite an interesting reaction that we saw from the media and specifically just in general the tennis people and the tennis Society but yeah let's go straight into this now you're probably wondering why I used that caption this has to stop in my YouTube video a few reasons why I feel like the abuse that she gets is very very different compared to a lot of other players abuse that they get and I feel like she's putting on their magnifying glass way more than any player in in my opinion especially any British player and I feel like it is a bit unfair what I would though say to counteract that is though sometimes she doesn't help herself in this sense where she speaks in a press conference and for example something that happened last week when she said kind of in I'm kind of reading between the lines and I'm not quoting her but she kind of said Andy Mo's kind of old news and that kind of blew up especially here in the UK cuz they thought that was very disrespectful but I feel like if it was any other player for example just any other WTA player or ATP player when never that we never have this type of reaction we have when we see emir play What Am make a mistake another important point to knowe is she's only 21 years old she won wimbl when sorry the US Open when she was 18 years old obviously looking back in now I don't like using the word fluke obviously she had to do every single thing perfectly and she was Flawless throughout those two weeks what I would say is though obviously there was a huge amount of luck involved in that in that USL open win and now we're kind of seeing like the effects of that seeing her playing on the WTA tour now which is just everyone knew that is natural and I feel like that is why I'm kind of a bit frustrated in the sense why people keep on abusing her I feel like even when she won the US Open People automatically put the bar up here but the people that actually understand and watch Tennis they know that she's obviously not going to repeat this anytime soon obviously there was hope of going to next few tournaments cuz she could but they knew that the amount what she did there it was an extremely extremely lucky occasion for her and she just it was just one of those bizarre tournaments where someone just won it for example 2001 Goran Ivanovich won Wimbledon and nobody ever expected that to happen and I feel like this is even more crazier than even isovic winning and ever since then the bar even though we're trying to see her build as a player the bar I feel like has continued to stay here actuality the key for us is to try and maintain and try and adapt for her CU all of us should know she's not going to go and be like eant or sabalenka although it would have been nice to see that but a lot of people who are we in terms their mind will know she's only 18 that time and now people need to understand she's only 21 she's going to have to learn here's a few things I would say which I do agree with some of the criticism I think she needs to start playing more qualifiers if a four time Champion Naomi saaka is doing it you've got to take that pill and say I think qualifiers is very thing is very important maybe that's a pride thing and maybe she has to swallow her pride in that but I also want to say she needs to start playing not just qualifi just more matches in general she coming into into the US Open she had a good form from Washington and then Wimbledon she didn't play a match for three or four weeks and that's so so bad in my opinion for Emir Caro to do going into a place where she needs to have at least a few matches under her belt especially at her age she's not that experienced player that can just turn up to tournaments like a know about jovic and just kick on she needs she needs to understand she's at an interesting point in her career where a lot can happen she can automatically fall off a cliff as quickly as she can shoot up cuz she shot up so quickly and she's come into a period in her career which is understandable and natural where obviously there's going to be a drop down but this is one of the most important parts of her career and this this is going to be so so important she now needs to start making the right decisions play more matches play qualifiers just kind of have a new mindset where she's just playing tennis swallow her pride and just allow this dip to not become a huge dip and just just to try and get maintain and get up a level win a few tournaments would be a massive massive thing for her I'm not even talking about Grand Slam winning a Grand Slam in any any form is so difficult but for her to win a qualifier the two 50 something like that then I think that would go a huge huge way of bolstering her confidence and everything but in general this unfair criticism of her has to stop I feel like as I say she is targeted unfairly whether rightly or wrongly I don't think a person at the age of 21 should be criticized the way she is albeit she does make her mistakes but as a 21y old you have the opportunity to make those mistakes and learn from them and my hope is she will learn from them let me know your thoughts on this situation and her loss and let me know what you guys think in general what she needs to do in the future for her to try and get back to the winning levels cuz to be honest Wimbledon was a really really successful for her this year and I was pretty optimistic going to US Open but the first round exit yeah that kind of sucks but yes let me know what you think make sure you leave a like comment and subscribe for more of this content and yes as always I'll catch you next time peace
