what's up YouTube It's Chef I'm back on Labor Day with another video so today's Labor Day and like many others obviously out there thinking hm what is Labor Day even about well here I am here going to tell you what Labor Day is all about because I'm definitely an expert in this topic now doing some basic research I found out that Labor Day was actually made in 1882 in New York City under the direction of that City's labor union do I have any idea what that means absolutely absolutely not but it was founded in 1882 which means this holiday is as old as time and therefore should be celebrated and respected I feel like people don't respect Labor Day enough I mean like I'm guilty of this too I was just switching it up for Memorial Day on accident so yeah I think it's actually an important holiday and let me show you what it's actually meant for so the organizers of Labor Day were actually interested in making an event that brought different types of workers together to meet each other and recognize their common interest wow there this holiday is honestly not respected enough we really need more diversity and more I guess you can say Coalition with uh fellow workers I mean like take me for example unemployed I truly need to get out there and start meeting other unemployed people I'm kidding but on the serious note I think this holiday could actually be beneficial cuz I mean you have like things like citizens united group where people get together and like talk about one like specific thing I think this could be beneficial for workers like if you think construction workers from different sites right like they can go talk with each other hey how do you do this how do you put this here how do you do blah blah blah like that's actually kind of useful if you think about it and I guess like to the common person like me a rich famous employed YouTuber I mean like it's just not thought about enough cuz I I don't have any Rich famous fellow like wealthy YouTubers to just go along with this so but like for other people I think it's actually really useful and I think that people should respect this holiday more and not just treat it like oh yeah it's just a bigger weekend no this is actually like an important holiday in fact as I'm filming this I'm actually hearing um Fireworks outside I think those are for Labor Day honestly like people people are already hearing this video and they're like man I need to celebrate Labor Day more so they're going off with fireworks dude this is this is great now while I was deep in my absolutely amazing research I found out that President Grover Cleveland one of the most influential and popular presidents to date actually SED a congressional act that made Labor Day a legal holid in 1894 what an absolute stud up a man 100% this guy was for people you know why cuz he made a blue collar holiday that's just that's mind mindblowing absolutely baffling and making it a Federal holiday meant that you'd get day off and like postal offices when shut down and all that and like if you think about it back then people were like what what is this like imagine if a new holiday was added like tomorrow like you'd be like oh my gosh what the heck is going on that's probably what they were thinking but president Grover Cleveland didn't care what the people would think and he made the act for the blue colors not the wealthy people now as I'm recording this in my giant library of books on Labor Day I actually found a bunch of quotes that are related to Labor Day so I felt like sharing some of that with you guys today first I learned the value of hard work by working hard Margaret me wow Margaret absolutely amazing work you have here this might have brought me to tears I learned the value of hard work by working hard how else would you learn it exactly you Margaret me showed us that through her quote next up dedication hard work all the time and belief that's where the quote ends I don't I don't really know what that means dedication hard work all the time and belief maybe that's what you should be like on Labor Day that's what you should be like on Labor Day people don't work hard enough so they made that quot whoever this Anonymous person is and they wanted us to think hey it's Labor Day so we should we should be working we should be celebrating our work diving deeper into my research I actually found out that that quote wasn't Anonymous but from a famous soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo um Cristiano thank you for this quote This truly lets me realize how important Labor Day really is and I feel like we as a United States community and even for my Watchers out there in Russia or other parts of the world Labor Day is something that everyone can celebrate it's blue color is not restricted to a language it's for everyone everyone can be a blue color so I hope you guys are really like just getting a new feel for this Labor Day holiday also the main reason that Labor Day is used as like a celebrational holiday is cuz we're celebrating our workers the people who are out there doing construction actually doing hard work on a serious note like actually thanks to them cuz we don't think about like construction workers enough people in the hot sun and they're doing like road work with asphal and all that like that would suck but they're they're putting in the work literally so I hope you guys also think of them when you're celebrating Labor Day and not just the kanada taco that's on your plate for barbecue anyways that's going to be it for me today on this
