Headlines on two. >> Good morning and welcome to headlines on two. I'm Pam Cook. Family and friends are searching for a woman who has been missing since the weekend. I want to show you surveillance video showing the last known images of 52 year old Renata Lopes walking past a house on Main Street in Santa Clara. Her husband, Carl Lopes, says she went for a walk Saturday morning and never came home. In the last year, she has had serious mental health challenges and is taking medication she needs to survive. >> That's the main concern. She needs a medicine for everything. She needs a medicine to sleep and she was reducing her medication with the help of the psychiatrist and the therapist. But as she was reducing it, her condition worsened. >> The Santa Clara City Council plans to issue an alert on Renata's disappearance. Police have also been using search dogs along Main Street to find her, but with no success. A woman from the East Bay had to change her wedding plans after her dress never arrived. She went in for her last fitting in July, and this week Akilah made arrangements to pick up her dress at the owner's home. But no one answered the door. Then she went to the bridal shop and found the store was completely empty. >> I'm still kind of in shock a little bit because I know about scams online, but I've been going to this place since October of last year and there's nothing there. Kind of felt like I was in a twilight zone. Like just it's just weird. >> Akilah says she's at about $1,000, but she has received several offers from people online wanting to help. Her focus now is moving on, enjoying her wedding and building her family. No word on why the store closed. Some family run restaurants that have served a San Francisco neighborhood for nearly 50 years are facing closure. A new owner has reportedly purchased several buildings on Fillmore Street, with plans to revitalize the area. Restaurant owners say the buyer told them they need to leave after their lease is up to make room for new high end retail. Some have until next year to possibly negotiate a renewal with the buyer, but others only have until next month. >> I get it. Capitalism. You know. I'm not saying life is fair, but it's like San Francisco has this where it's like, you know, protect the mom and pop shops, protect the small businesses, and they're not. >> Other restaurant owners in the neighborhood want to have a conversation between the new landlords and people in the community. They hope to find a compromise that will suit the buyers and respect the history and legacy of the Fillmore. Santa Clara County announced plans to purchase regional medical Center from HCA healthcare. The tentative agreement means the only trauma hospital on the east side of San Jose will remain open. Officials say the rising cost of health care and the pandemic made it unsustainable to continue. If the deal is finalized, regional will become part of the Santa Clara County health care system. Health care providers say patients will benefit. >> We're excited about the opportunity to have regional come and join and be integrated with our broader Santa Clara County Health system, and we believe this is the best path forward for our organization. >> Officials say the 1600 employees at the center will likely keep their jobs, at least through the transition. Neighbors of a San Francisco apartment building that burned down while under construction are complaining about squatters now living on the premises. Now, it has been more than a year since the building on Octavia, near Oak Street, caught fire. The burned down lot currently has a fence around it, but that's not keeping squatters who are tapping into electrical lines. >> I hear them climbing up the stairs, hanging out on the roof, using the, really using it as a squat toilet facilities, whatever. I mean, we smell it when we walk by. Right. >> San Francisco's Department of Building Inspection issued a series of violations and ordered the property owner to secure the site. We reached out to the owner for comment, but did not hear back. Starting today, the Twin Peaks Tunnel in San Francisco will be closed for eight days for repairs.
