CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW REACTION / LUIZ HOMECOMING / MCGINN TO FACE CELTIC /WYCOMBE REACTION /

good afternoon Villa fans well well well Champions League draw is literally just finished um yeah what do you think of the new format quite interesting quite different um I actually liked it I'm not going to lie I thought it was quite good um quite efficient and yeah let's get straight into it um so yeah Champions League draw obviously caraval Cup draw and obviously we' got Leicester on Saturday so a little bit to get into in this sort of uh Champions League draw reaction match preview and obviously Wickham reaction as well for the um caraval cup so yeah first things first Champions League let's get the big topic out of the way um yeah absolutely fantastic drawn against Bayern Munich coming out first um brings back sort of memories of 1982 not that I can remember I was literally just born um but obviously that will be a great game at Villa Park um unbelievable hopefully they can sort out the uh ticketing issues that happened uh on Saturday um by then but uh yeah that'll be an amazing fixture obviously we don't know the order of these fixtures yet they said obviously they're just going to do the groups and then do the fixture um generation at a later date hopefully very soon though so people can start booking up you know tickets and hotels and travel and travel and all that sort of stuff so yeah B Munich at home then we're looking at Li Zig away obviously you know play them in preseason you know I think we'll be in a much better shape to play them um you know this time round um Club Brugge away um yeah Club brouge I think we signed Wesley from them long long time ago a few years ago now but Club Brugge are there um Juventus dougy Louise coming back to Villa Park is going to be something to to watch and you know that's going to be a cracking game and I'm sure that he'll get a really good evation um so let's see what happens there young boys of Switzerland away so a nice little trip out to Switzerland um don't know much about them but to make it this far going through all the qualif fir they got to have something about them so you know none I said none of these games are given you know what I mean so you know we've just got to be grateful that we're in this competition um and then Celtic at home Villa Park that is going to be amazing that is going to be John mcin must be absolutely buzzing off his tits you know he's a big Celtic fan um I'm sure playing against cwick for Villa he is absolutely going to be up for that that is a game to look out for and you know I'm hoping we can put one on you know put one over of Brendan Rogers um and um you know get three points in that game for sure and then bologna uh bolog is at home as well not sure if um Samuel illing Jr can play in that game I don't know what kind of clause we've inserted there but yeah he's he might be facing us which will be a bit of a weird conundrum um but yeah bologna obviously made the Champions League first time in a long time same as us um he done really well with under Thiago M last year obviously he's moved on to Juventus now so it's going to be a new coach a new style of play new players perhaps um so yeah a little bit of the unknown with bologna to be fair I remember sort of Bey signori playing for them long time ago when I was watching you know gazetta back in the days and remember bologna from those sort of times and then the eighth team or the you know the the last team that we're playing against is Monaco away which again they've had a bit of a Renaissance over the last few years um used to be quite a big team um I think they made the Champions League final a long long time ago when they had like morientes playing for them up front I remember but they were a very decent team um fell away you know um but slowly building themselves back up again I think there were Runners up in the leager last season um I can't profess to know too many players that they've got I think they've got ulo up front still I'm not sure that's right um but yeah they're going to be a danger team as well and I'm looking forward to that one um so that'll be an interesting game against Monaco but yeah all in all I mean yeah it's it's amazing to see even Villa in the draw you know just to see us against these sorts of clubs um yeah Bayern Munich obviously being the biggest game Harry Kane you know coming to Villa Park um you know hope we don't just um get over raed by the occasion and the names on the back of the shirts and things like that and you know we actually give them a game but but um yeah I mean pretty much that is a decent kind of draw for us I mean we didn't get Real Madrid we didn't get Barcelona we avoided Paris San man brucia Dortmund who obviously you know beat us in preseason as well um so we avoided those sort of bigger teams obviously you were going to get one or two anyway but you know light Zig were in po uh pot one and you would probably say that they were or are probably the weakest team in pot one so we've got quite fortunate there in my opinion but they are still a decent out I'm just hoping by then we're well into our stride and you know confidence is up and all that sort of stuff so yeah exciting time Champions League bring it on you know Champions League nights Champions League music at Villa Park absolutely buzzing I'm definitely going to try to get you know uh tickets to games if I can they'll probably be sold out way before even I get a chance to though that's going to be the problem so um but yeah I would love to sort of go to an evening game at Villa Park Champions League that those those those European nights even the UEFA cup back in the day when I went you know when we went all the way to the sort of the quarterfinal stage back in 98 those memories just stay with you they just stay with you and I can just see this just being you know there's a smile in my face just talking about it you I mean absolutely buzzing and you know I think we can we can the likes of Club Brugge I think we can win that I think we can beat young boys I think we could beat bologna I'm only just saying this because I'm not really seeing any of those teams play but you know just from from name Celtic I don't really fear Celtic uh Monaco don't know too much about them right now but I would say that draw has been quite favorable to us um you know there's a lot of other teams that we could have come up against um I thought we we would be drawn against Le or something like you know get go back to their place again and all that sort of stuff but yeah let's see let's see what happens obviously we've got you know a day and a half now left of the window um I am a little bit worried I think we we've left ourselves bit light um you know we I think we need some players to come in I think denona is on his way out looks like um either Andel could be in for him or last Palmas um the right back situation now K up mat cash out for the month you delovic is obviously going to step into there guda talks seems to have gone quiet again you know if it's going to happen it's got to happen now cuz you know our transfer window is closing I think the area devis one is closing soon so surely they're going to want to get that money and get a replacement in straight away but the longer we leave it the less chance it has of happening so I want to see guda come in um Diego Carlos I don't know what's going on with him um you know there's Enzo Baron AO who's linked with Valencia apparently I think maybe because denona going out means that we'll keep Enzo um which is fine by me I mean he was linked with v Valencia I don't really see Valencia as a big Club anymore know from how they were back in the day um and yeah I'd like to keep keep hold of him really otherwise what was the point of having him and Hing junor as part of that double deal with with douge if they're not going to stay around um you know our Squad with one injury at right back is looking a bit stretched already um so we can't have too many players leaving um we still need a striker or a number 10 or someone that can play further up the pitch in case Duran or Watkins get an injury I've always said this um so I'm worried that we are leaving ourselves a bit light um in this transfer window and there's not much time to go and there hasn't been many links really um apart from gruda that looks like it's going to happen I there's no other names that are coming through no little Whispers here and there you normally hear about them by now um so yeah unless vill have got an ace up their sleeves I think we might be a little bit late um which would be a shame um because obviously we're going to go deep in all competitions I hope this season and um that brings me on nicely to The carabal Cup draw as well yesterday um so Wick and Wanderers away um was the the draw um yeah happy with that absolutely obviously remember playing them beating them 83 losing to them where Michael Richards gotten a bit of a a cff huffle with you know the the the crowd um a little bit as well um but yeah it be an interesting game obviously John Gregory's former team so we've got some ties there with Wickham um um they're local to me I'm based in reading so you know if I can get a ticket I'll definitely be in the away end um but let's see if we if we can if I can make that happen but um yeah it'll be interesting to see us against uh Wickham I don't think he'll play um the starting 11 I think there'll be a lot of Fringe players a lot of rotation going on in that game but you that gives us hopefully that gives us the basis of going forward I mean thank God it wasn't man united in the third round again like we always get every year Bruno Fernandez penalty um so yeah we've avoided that one and Wickham I'm not too sure how how good they are on their own patch but you know given our Squad depth now that we have we've got to go there and win you know that's that's that's that's a given really um but before all of that um it's Leicester um on Saturday 3:00 kickoff um unusual for Villa it's been half five the last two weeks but um yeah looking forward to this one as well going to be a tough game Leicester will sit in deep Jamie vardy you know this is Jord I just joined him as well um but um yeah it's going to be tricky game you know Steve Cooper likes to sit deep like he did with Forest against us um they catch people on the counter attack they got a Winger called is it Fatu Fatu out wide that young sort of 20-y old he's quite dangerous and Pacey um but I think we need to start the game fast and we we can get an early goal or two um and you know you know pin them back then that will hopefully you know quieten their crowd a little bit as well I'm going for a score prediction of Leicester 1 Aston Villa 2 I've Got a Feeling Jamie vard is going to score for them but I've also got a feeling that ole Watkins is going to come good and score two for us um so I two1 Villa for that one um Team pretty much picks itself at the moment you know carry on as you are see n delovic will come in for cash I think from the start for this one um and then you know everyone else is as you are basically and just keep going um but yeah I think we're going to get a a big performance for Morgan Rogers again this is his type of game you know he can dominate the the Midfield with his running power I think Leon Bailey will come good he's going to be up against Christan who's not the quickest fullback so I think if we can isolate him get Bailey oneon-one I think bayy will have him on toast um and same same with Morgan Rogers I just don't think their defense has got much legs in them um height wise they are quite big and physical so we need to be wary on set pieces but we've got on now you know we've got some uh some height in our team as well so it'll be interesting to see um how the game unfolds but if we don't pick up three points and we're going into an international break it'll be quite disappointing uh considering the performances against West Ham and Arsenal and how well we've played we need to make sure we get three points however way even if it's a last minute winner comes off as you know ezri K's backside or OE Watkins is shin I don't care um just get three points go into the international Break um hopefully you know our players come back fit from that as well no injuries um because I know Watkins and coner have been called up for England as well which is great but I really really don't want them to risk any injury considering the amount of games that we've got now in this Champions League draw you know we need to keep people fresh as much as we can um and these meaningless friendlies um you know we could do without really but um anyway anyway guys but yeah drop a really handpicked a better kind of draw for us in terms of being competitive um and I'm sure that we're going to turn up against those teams um so yeah very very looking forward to it anyway guys
