something but looking back wow it can become so clear it's a joy to visit with Dennis Quaid the star of the new movie Reagan in theaters this Friday so many of us lived this time what is the story Reagan in theaters this Friday starting off in Hollywood President Reagan ended up following a winding path and maybe that will encourage you on your journey I don't think he ever really reached that place that he wanted to be as an actor you know being an actor myself I can I could relate with that you he was vice president of the Screen Actors Guild and then president of the screen actress Guild and that was his entry into politics for real you know and it came off of a failure really it's you know kind of like finding God's purpose for us is a windy road that doesn't go according to our become a movement Demi Leebo is the founder of the TBO group and the author of a new book called a crown that lasts along with her famous football star husband Tim she uses her own platform as a former Miss Universe to fight for those who can't fight for themselves and it started with a very frightening transformative moment in her own life in 2017 I was stopped at a red traffic light and by multiple armed men and and that was a very horrific incident um I don't know what my perpetrator's goal was I just knew that it wasn't good I ended up getting away from that situation and I knocked and I called for help on multiple windows it was broad daylight pop was 5: in the afternoon but nobody would stop to help me not one single person and eventually later as I kept running down that Avenue a young girl she was 19 years old stopped and she opened her car door and she L me to safety and I'm so thankful for her not only that she led me to safety that day but that she changed a big part of the trajectory of my life encouraging me to not ever turn a blind eye or pretend not to hear pretend not to see just like all of the other cars did but to be that one car that is willing to be interrupted to help somebody in need and that that incident has really served as a catalyst to me having a heart for women all over the world and children children all over the world and using the community and the platform that I have to be able to impact lives for the better you are not hidden there never been a moment you were forgoten you are not [Music] hopeless though you have been broken 50-year career including Jaws 3 Soul Surfer and American underdog now he stars in the new movie Reagan in theaters this Friday President Reagan understood the gift of a strong marriage he adored his wife Nancy she was his biggest fan and Confidant and when it comes to relationships Dennis himself has had his share of ups and downs but this time his marriage is different you know my beautiful wife Laura you know it took me a long time to really find uh find the person and uh wasn't looking and we just have the greatest relationship and one of the reasons is is God is for really the first time God is really part of the fabric he's he's in the relationship I think that's really important we I think we expect the other person to solve a lot of our problems and a lot of the things in life and you know that's God's job actually and um it's too much to put on another person and um also just to share the beauty and endure uh the times that come along that we humans to you know we're just we're not very good and a lot of things that come along we go we start acting like kids and and uh squabbling and stuff like that you know but so it's it's good to have God in a relationship for that life hit you so hard that you've been knocked down have you gone too far to find the middle ground did they raise you so high just to pull you back down have you been so lost you could never be found cuz I've been real I've been fake been a c been a [Music] saint I've been right I've been so so wrong you made my mistakes I don't know what it's like to be you don't know what it's like to be what if we're all the same in different kinds of ways can you can you relate [Music] we both know what it's like to be H we both know what it's like to feel but I think it's safe to say we're on to better
