Chester Bennington’s son targeted by Linkin Park fans after he slammed new singer Emily Armstrong

[Music] Chester Bennington who died by suicide in 2017 was part of the iconic group Lincoln Park the group recently announced their comeback with a new singer Emily Armstrong Chester bennington's son Jamie Bennington said he feels unsafe attending reunion shows after cruel Lincoln Park fans wish death upon him for criticizing the band new singer Emily Armstrong the former lead singer of the iconic band died by Suicide at the age of 41 in 2017 the band had gone on Hiatus after his heartbreaking death but recently delighted fans when they announced their reunion with brand new band members including singer Emily and drummer Colin Britain however Emily's introduction to the band didn't come without backlash as she was criticized over her link to the Church of Scientology as well as her support of rapist Danny Masterson who was sentenced to three decades behind bars for two rapes which took place in 2001 and 2003 she later broke her silence and said she was supporting a friend at the time but misjudged the situation Chester's son jimie later took to social media to air his concerns and accused Lincoln Park co-found Mike shenoda of quietly erasing my father's Life and Legacy in real time during International Suicide Prevention month he also shared his anger at them hiring her despite her links to Scientology ol olog and her past support of Masterson after sharing his concerns he returned to his page to reveal he doesn't feel safe around Lincoln Park fans due to their death threats and cruel attacks he said there are a lot of people who do not like me there are a lot of people saying some really awful as asterisk asterisk asterisk right now to me to be honest I don't think I feel safe going to the show under general admission because I don't know who I'm around I don't know who would recognize me or take it upon themselves to respond to me in an aggressive manner when I'm just there to see the show but I do need to see it last week Emily broke her silence on the concerns of her connection to the church and Masterson she said hi I'm Emily I'm new to so many of you and I wanted to clear the air about something that happened a while back several years ago I was asked to support someone I considered a friend at a court appearance and went to one early hearing as an observer soon after I realized I shouldn't have I always tried to see the good in people and I misjudged him I have never spoken with him since unimaginable details emerged and he was later found guilty to say it as clearly as possible I do not condone abuse or violence against women and I empathize with the victims of these crimes she did not address the accusations of her being associated with the Church of Scientology in the story the singer was was seen attending the Church of scientology's 44th anniversary gala in 2013
