friend of the show my name is Zab suas and I'm a friend of the show boom hey guys my name is Sasha vicory and I'm a friend of the show boom hi my name is Lloyd Harris and I'm a friend of the show perfect hi my name is Jasmine paulini and I'm a friend of the show wow Jasmine you got it in one well well what a dream team we have today Mario goal Daman Damon whatever Nan I hope you're in the chat because well I mean he was asking for gokalp the entire week like he was always like when are you gonna bring gokalp is gokalp gonna be on the stream later on and here he is welcome I'm flattered thank you very much Mario as well I don't know when you were here last um did you do any US Open matches so far uh actually I think this is the first US Open match for me so it's it's you know a debut with a high Stak actually battle here because we are playing for a m in the semi-final so yeah I'm pretty much excited to to watch this match I think there are there is some pretty good you know storyline uh also in this match because you know both are in search of their Maiden slam semi-final very different situations because badosa we know that it would be you know also kind of I don't know unexpected probably to see her getting her best major result after the back injury even if I mean he he didn't have exceptional gram results before just one quarterfinal but still um you know for what she she's gone through physically it's you know also maybe it also has come pretty quickly uh a bit quicker than it was expected and yeah Navada of course is one of the most informed player uh players of the year so you know it would also kind of be um you know deserved reward for the season she's putting up yeah and um badosa Nar J was asking about the predictions in the chat earlier what are your guys feelings going into this one yeah I feel like making predictions for the women's draw I felt this year has been a bit easier than before because there have been such like a lot of inform players that have you know had their career best seasons but for this one I'm it's it's difficult I'm gonna go slightly Navaro U although their only match went to badosa in Rome I'm predicting Navar to win this match I mean she's also semi-finalist in my bracket so I'm staying with that prediction I made before the tournament and yeah but also playing some really good tennis um as I was actually expecting I don't know if I was you know expecting her to actually then deliver on the court but it makes total sense given that she's living a a great summer and yeah but I still I I feel like Navaro can can win this one let's see how also she can handle um you know the pressure because yeah it's I know she played on ash round 16 match but it was against gol so um also from the the point of view of being an American you know it's kind of off pressure match because you have go from the other side of the net you know all the Americans are expecting her to to do well pushing for her she's the most you know also the most famous one the one who won the tournament before last year so let's see if can maybe be in their mind a little bit today or not yeah also the the previous um slam quarterfinal that she played like that was a pretty horrible performance right yeah I totally forgot about it now I saw the score it was 86 in the third against zanik I was thinking about Navaro but they both played one SL quarterfinal yeah I was just thinking of Navaro because against paulini at Wimbledon right she just gave like a complete noow but yeah in 2021 run Goos I think it's it's kind of a forgotten run because people just don't remember that she was actually perceived as one of the favorites for the title like that that's how well she was playing you sort of going into it and also like there was a match with Bogdan in the thired round kind of similar to what happened here against rusa where she struggles and after that you just feel like yeah yeah she can keep pushing for it she loses toj danc and of course that was the round Goos that literally anybody could have won by that stage so yeah that was pretty brutal for her but yeah I was was just thinking of Navaro at at Wimbledon where she kind of I think succumbed to the pressure yeah I mean I don't know if maybe that match but I mean B can do kind of the similar thing that Pini did I think Pini uh did really well in that match to [Music] oops am I back yes you're back okay good no I mean there is a thunderstorm actually so probably can be related to this okay no sorry I was just saying that Pini was good in that quarterfinal in kind of playing High paac tennis and make Navaro feel like you know in in kind of a rush not easy to handle as a maiden grandslam semi-final and buta she has the chance to do the same but yeah let's see maybe you know Navaro can simply just play better than she did in in that match and yeah should be a good one you know I I am really interested would be fair to say that she has definitely started better that drop shot on the first point now a pretty aggressive winner as well um yeah I didn't really give my prediction I'm not really going to either I said yesterday on one of the talking streams that like I cannot stay objective about this one I just got really invested into this badosa to the semi-final storyline and at this stage I just feel like I cannot objectively rate her chances against ovaro I obviously it's pretty close and it's a big opportunity for both women as well um the third round against rousa I mean badosa was kind out talented in that one you know she just she just basically grounded out in the in the FR tie break and it was not looking like she was really the better player on the day so um that's kind of worrying I suppose but at the same time yeah I have to notice that like over the past year and a half when she's playing When She's Fit enough to play she has been actually like really really good so yeah I didn't realize she had like the best Grand Slam season of her career and it was a sneaky good performance I like most grand slam wins this year um I think two more than her previous best yeah ELO rankings as I said before we also have to mention that she kind of underperformed in gr slams before you know her her back injury because you know she got to number two in the world uh won a 1,000 event and you know only reached the quarterfinal at the Grand Slam and actually even before that she really became a top player you know she was kind of in death process when she did it at at the French Open um so yeah and she's the one who hasn't started well yeah two double faults to get broken early lead forro I'm I'm in the middle of the second double fault now just in case you're wondering about my sink yeah we are we are at the same time definitely ah so Mario didn't know yet okay because based on what she said she had she had already missed the the first server when you said it yeah okay based on what you said I was assuming you already saw it I'm sorry no don't worry at all it's the second game actually so even the suspense is not that high yet yeah sure it's not it is not yeah I mean Rus I remember telling you um Damian before she played rakina at at Wimbledon that I I'm usually quite high on here when she's in form and yeah but was she in form I mean this tournament in the world right now right well I mean coming through qualis already winning you know two matches in the main draw it's still you know for me quite you know still you kind of have a bit of confidence because you wanton five straight matches and so yeah yeah I guess you're right K chova regardless of you know cova's level and the fact that she's not the most consistent player but still for you as a player it's a good win and you know she was for sure in at a good confidence level yeah I I obviously I I tweeted about this as well but like with Rus said I always remember that much against rine C when and just looked like such a talented Prospect actually very similar to the Anna kuk match for RIS at Wimbledon as well of course Anna kuk went on to actually beat her at the US Open I think later that season so it's a different story con you kind of got a lot further in the sport um than rousa but of course also it's been like just Humper by injuries time and time again rousa maybe a bit less so but she also had some breaks but yeah that was that that rousa from the badosa match really reminded me of that rousa I loved six years ago and yeah another one was 2022 to at Wimbledon against go uh Goff in the third um so yeah she she has a story of losing this really tight battles against let's call of course top players you know uh maybe you know BOS are not as much as go who a gr slam Champion or yeah but giving their form I mean Advance C by 2018 wasn't a top player anymore either but yeah like they were all still big names and matches where she performed exceptionally well and it's a shame we don't see that level from her on a weekly basis yeah think about there is that she's been injured so many times uh actually those kind of injuries you know also a lot of small issues that kind of disrupted her momentum in throughout some season she's never really had you know kind of a steady growth or yeah and nulan is here and he's very happy to see goal welcome nulan hello if I had known earlier I would have come sooner I don't [Laughter] know uh I guess John isn't blocked anymore by nland since he responded of course he does hello Ashley as well and hello Jake of course um Jake also gave you goab a message in Turkish I would assume I am a little off that me and Mario didn't get our Haze in Italian and polish but well as you wish Jake I'm not going to give you Welsh hello either whatever it is I mean um but also let Navar off the hook just in that game I think Navar was feeling a bit ansy maybe double fold and then a backend error 30 all and then B alsoa missed exactly yeah that volum was where to all inong right yeah it was a break point easily yeah it would have been break point you know she could have been back on track and but it looks like she's gonna be back on track uh no I think she just won three points it only has to go upwards from from here yeah you know it's where I feel like even if the score line is kind of one-sided you're still going to see you know this rally Dynamic that it kind of looks like tough um because it's just the way they they play the way they intend the game John had Navaro in his semis I also have Navaro in I still have three semi-finalists in each draw alive I don't the mths yes but I mean in on the women's I guess I do too and on the men's um yeah as well no actually now because I had leka [Laughter] so yeah my missed one is actually jovic but I had jovic losing in semis so yeah I had I had a of alcar final I think h no I I went with sinner this time that's why I'm still alive I think Daniel has an excellent chance on yeah for sure I really feel like 5050 I really cannot say I really struggle to say you know I really feel like 5050 this time and who's the semi-finalist you lost on the WTA I guess it's going to be in the um second quarter yeah in the second quarter yeah I had Osaka there but but I mean taking over right I mean Osaka just basically took over for mov I mean mova took over the Osaka spot in the draw and it's basically just fulfilling what I thought Naomi would do so yeah but yeah sh sabalenka were the kind of obvious players everyone had going pretty deep let's see if sabalenka handles kenen to today there's actually going to be a stream guys as well for that at um 7 p.m. New York time of course sabalan Ken so make sure to join for that I don't think we have or actually maybe we do also have one stream for the men's I'm not even sure but of course the men's quarterfinals as well today forz verf and um TFO diit well nine unforced errors from badosa already that's not amazing but but she's on a scoreboard yeah that's the most important thing see if she can yeah I don't know a bit like it happened with for example Cena yesterday after a tough start maybe just I know it's a different thing and also it's different best of three and best of five but still um no not not a nice backend this one yeah I was just looking at the highlights from their match in Rome and Navaro LED 6120 in that match and lost so if there's any scoreboard pressure but us uh probably will feel a bit more confident than usual was that this year I don't remember at all yeah this year I don't remember it either but was saying she played both both Navaro and golf in in Rome because they were the potential opponents she didn't know who she was going to play when she was asked I remember the golf match um yeah I I I thought of that when I was piing the Bosa to the semis I think because maybe I had Koko beating Emma maybe something like that but I was I was pretty sure I wanted to have Koko out to either Emma or to um or to Paula and I think I was thinking about that wrong mat but yeah Navara is not an encounter I remember yeah it was you know with G it was actually I don't know it was expecting this result to happen um before the the Navaro golf match can considering the situation actually you know she showed good thing in you know fighting back into the match and but honestly it's kind of the only positive yeah I feel like both of them are very nervous because Navaro is playing a bit more aggressive than her usual self which I don't think she needs in this matchup and badosa just missed a back end that was so easy shanked it completely and Navar is also making some errors it's understandable um yeah match yeah B's first match on ash she never played here apparently and Navarro's second time ever yeah I don't know if it's actually a matter about the venue because in the end you know even badosa that it's the first one the first time I I feel you know that she she's used to play in this big Stadium Grand Slam Center Courts she already did in the past even if not here um I think it depends more simply on you know what what's at Stakes today um yeah generally I agree with you but I think arur is just so particular it's so big and probably the court speed might be different from where the other courts yeah I think it's a little bit slower that's what yeah the first few games might be just adjustment to everything else that's like outside the play so she held for games to one I mean Navaro looks yes a little bit nervous but she's still I don't know she still has I feel like she has a great you know she's solid from both sides for and back end so um even when she's nervous at at worst you will see her maybe starting to push a little bit more not going you know that much anymore for head shots and everything but I feel like you know badosa is the one whose ground strokes can can suffer more uh from you know being being nervous and the anxiety of of the occasion I you know watching Navaro I felt like she has really too too reliable ground strokes should handle the pressure a bit better um at least from a technical point of view that's yeah and when your opponent is spraying errors like this 11 on for stairs already I think that takes it off off your shoulders automatically yeah it still feels like paa is in control of a lot of these points just yeah hasn't been sharp enough to take over really but might turn very quickly yeah you're right yeah exactly like that that's the kind of scenario where you think that okay she might have three really good games and just win um did I just start drinking or something what do you mean n um I mean I'm drinking this uh Coke Zero lime which is frozen completely so it's like flowing in front of my very eyes and I can only take very small sips and also Nan was that a trivia question earlier with that who is the only player that has played that ATP or WTA or not or what I mean if if it was then I think it's Rene rears right but I don't know um I don't know what your intention was uh but yeah basically I'm drinking this like pretty much ice block out of uh Coke Zero lime which is a special flavor they introduced in my grocery shop so I'm like well I mean since it's special I might as well pick it up it's no calories so that's good but uh well I shouldn't have left it in the freezer for five hours some calories might have frozen into it by that time maybe yeah from all the JS in my freezer yeah but alsoo doesn't get the luck either that net C helped naar in that point but she still could have finished it is the now this goes long so a chance for Bosa to hold yeah she went back on that return I'm curious if Bosa is GNA do something about that if she if she sees it s is 35 Dees what is it where you are it's 28 yeah I don't think it's horrible here um definitely a couple of days ago it was like 18 suddenly like it really fell but I think today probably a little more um I mean the last time I was out today was like 10:00 a.m. so maybe I'm not really sure but I'll check I'll check 24 yeah I mean it's pretty decent today yeah yeah I'm not complaining next week is the stretching Challenger when I'm obviously heading and that's usually when Poland becomes much colder during the summer like shtin is the event where you go after after being at all the events this summer and like kind of just continuously fighting against the sun you go to stret you take all these shorts you take like maybe Max one jumper and then you go there and especially in the evening sessions it's just so freaking cold and it happens every year you know I'm just so used to the summer weather that I never pack well for stretching I should know by now yeah you might see see me chuckling or smiling every now and then because Nan's comments I are funny and I don't know how to respond to them he just wrote the name of a song so that's played in weddings so um yeah that's why we had beautiful weather here perfect for an ATP Challenger uh in stumble um I hope it continues like this because I want to go to the quarter final day as well just to get my hipster tennis in myself going too much Grand Slam in these two weeks yeah second week of a grand slam is the time to watch Challenger tennis let's be honest it's actually the best week of the tennis season really in a way because both the fans of the main tour and the fans of the Challenger tour just have a field day basically um so in a way it's it's kind of even better than the first week as in the f I mean the first week usually has a lot of Challengers as well but even the Challenger fans watch the slums during the first week but during the second week just everybody has something for themselves especially during a week like this with six events yeah there's been seven rallies with nine on or more shot shots and nvada won six of them so far won six of them okay six three yeah six out of seven but 30 all here there is mistake let's see if Bosa can can give herself a chance or maybe it will be Navaro giving her a chance yeah I'm curious about that stat for the Navara golf match because Navaro was very good at that at Wimbledon so she whenever it gets long the rally she likes it this what you're going to see is definitely a longer rally that's what I can tell you without spoiling too much just keeps on going I thought she was going to miss it I thought she was going to miss the sitter phenomenal Point amazing is she coming back now break point for Bosa now John's comments are like kind of what okay Mario did you say anything about Liam bro no I just say that it it went a little bit too far in my opinion ah with the scener thing ah right yeah what a Save By the way beautiful angle on the forehand from NADA yeah I think she wanted to go that aggressively I don't think so I think she was just Hing the spin she was playing it safe and all sudden there was a winner that that was my feeling as well yeah thing is that when when I when I see these things they really have no consequence you know for me it's for forgotten the next day so it's not really that deep in my [Music] opinion you're right Nan I would never give my phone number to oh that was a poor mess from Bosa NADA was just hanging on to that point yeah barely if Liam is in the WhatsApp group and they're up S [Music] him you didn't know um it's um tennis Ranter wow nice drop shot especially second second one of the match that's just such a stunner of course badosa was also like in Madrid pretty much but still I just got it well a tricky game for really for the first time for for Navaro and yeah she held up well probably this yeah that second breako that's the one that will that will help badosa not the first one exactly what can you do when the opponent cleans the line and you kind of don't even expect it but the second one certainly has just gave a cheap error despite earier doing some really good work to keep herself in it have you been hearing that Emma Navaro is apparently a very funny person so people are talking about her friends I I didn't know about you know this but I actually from my experience since I have met her in the past you know I've all you know I found her one of actually one of the nicest I don't know if this will change with her getting success but you know um when I met her she was really really nice people like to kind of come down on Navaro and Pula just because their par are rich but I mean they don't really give off that energy whatsoever they do not they give the chillest energy both of them maybe that also comes from kind of having you know stuff provided for you they worry worry you know but um presently a manavar in this match does not have much to worry about yeah two double faults right from B in the yes it's five already and um well you're gonna see something incredible everybody double faulting a little bit too much yeah that's what medev said everyone's double fating A Lot maybe it's because of the balls he was saying yeah because I've seen a lot of you know even when I from matches I haven't seen and sort of check the stats randomly I've seen a lot of 15 14 18 fults um whatever three set points here and so yeah that mistake on on the second break break point ends up being very costly because badosa now is in big big trouble oh yeah and that pass from Naro short of the match so far yeah saves two of them for now yeah this was an avoidable mistake from from Emma but yeah that was a poor drop shot yeah that was generally not a great set of tenants from paa badosa 6 un for STS the moment she had a chance to work her way back into it won that super long rally at um 2430 all um then she kind of couldn't retake it the second break when the specialy she missed and after that was to the same old story with the double faults with the errors like this yeah and uh well she's going to have to do much much better in the second set so far she's playing like em manaro in The Wimbledon um quarterfinals yeah and also did you know this drop shot wasn't even right tactically so yeah not only a Miss execution but yeah yeah you know how some drops are out out of desperation it felt like one of those it was yeah it was because she like didn't really know what to do um definitely but yeah she has to she has to work work her way into this now among WTA players has the best defense Pace absorption skills Supply from Coco golf I mean golf I don't even think she absorbs P Pace that well she just is super fast to be honest but like Navaro is in the conversation yeah I feel like he it's not much a matter with with goo I don't know for example it's not like when we've seen nazarena playing ostapenko that kind of absorbing Pace yeah it's a great of course she's a great athlete she can defend the court really well and and yeah just athleticism helps her a lot yeah Navaro yes I just what I was saying I think here Ground St are really reliable uh also from from a technical point of view so yeah that's what for me the main thing about there actually Navaro is not a about shout I think for an answer to this nland question and um that's kind of where I'm headed at the moment of course this is this comes in a great year for her but um yeah is up there I think uh could be yeah and mova this tournament why don't I like urash I mean mostly to be honest I mean I know what what tweet you're referring to mostly I was just um thinking like well it's ridiculous you know to to post that this is the best um this is the best spot to watch Tennis because you posted from like a 10 story building or something like that and I mean you're not going to see much you're maybe even going to be watching on the tele beam right down on the actual Court which is ridiculous in tennis at least but I don't know never I've never been to the US Open um I'm not saying I wouldn't like to but it's also kind of still like not a 100% serious tweet from me I just wanted to throw in some beautiful courts that I've been to and kind of well show the the kind of tennis that I the kind of tennis watching that I like to enjoy which is yeah super close to the court as close as as close as possible and um yeah that's where I feel the best watching but I mean obviously I would like to visit the US Open at some point and yeah I just think it's it at some point it gets a little bit too big like you know the tickets are ridiculously overpriced still for sort of the kind of viewing experience that you can get at least from what I've seen from other people's you know photos and stuff yeah the us either for me it's even that thing you know even um in the biggest tournament in the world I would find more you know um more beautiful staying in maybe um a little Court uh where there are fewer people watching and in the atmosphere I I even like the atmosphere more in you know in the smallest courts I like I I I I I at some point I realized that like when I'm at a big stadium for me to enjoy the atmosphere it has to be like really packed if I'm at a big stadium and there's don't enjy it but when it's a smaller Court then I enjoy this atmosphere it's like literally me the coach of one player the coach of the other player and that's it so it kind of really depends on the um you know the volume the capacity of the Court how big the arena is and yeah it's not about not liking the us either definitely not but um if I went to the US Open you can bet on me just being on the outside courts for 90% of my time there rather than Nash I mean this year is the perfect actually example of that because for the first week on arur rash we had like zero interesting matches literally up until Shelton TFO and um well that's what it is I mean they put the biggest stars there the biggest stars usually win their matches somewhat easily and even in the second week of a slam I would be running all around and you know catching the doubles catching the so yeah I mean uh it's just my tennis preferences really uh but yeah the the Tweet was like a little like half joking maybe but um well that's kind of just my brand as well right I mean I I enjoy the challenges I enjoy the smaller events and and I wanted to highlight that as well I hope you have enjoyed my meltdown uh your meltdown yeah I mean I said something to in a pretty angry way I mean I had the MC muted of course but it was you know I didn't turn off the camera so whatever okay I didn't see it but I also didn't see the first game can you tell what happened yeah so naar five unforced erors in the first set and four in that first game so she just literally gifted that break to M yeah let's see if this can be costly if badosa you know can find some some confidence from this getting herself a little bit up or you know if it will mean nothing of course you know for the set it's still very far you know with it's still so early but I don't know after a very tough set for Bosa n holding serve once again you know could have you know given Bosa a little bit of a but yeah she starts with a with a mistake here with a forand so regardless of what Navaro does she really needs to of course uper level oh Katy Lei is watching the match and they just did a closeup on Navarro's Olympics necklace which was a nice touch from the director like of the is the swimmer yeah yeah multiple gold medalist probably goat of her distance yeah she has um the the 20 best times ever on such on a distance I I think it's 00 1,500 yeah yes I think so it's like Mondo Duplantis Katy Lei they're they yeah they have their name still has some competition that Duplantis has not yeah yeah Duplantis actually broke the world record again after the Olympics already I don't know if you guys saw that yeah at the Olympics he had a 625 and now he's already done 626 in Poland actually in the diamond league so so yeah um it's kind of funny how they do it in pul Vault you know because they could like literally break the world record once by like 10 cmers but they always do it by one they get more money like this they get more yeah absolutely makes sense as a as a child I remember watching Yen I Baya break the word record like 10 times as well and it was actually very compelling and of course now Duplantis is doing that I I'm not a big fan of that because I have to be honest even in tennis and in general I'm more a fan of really the competition rather than just the you know the high level um thing of dominance of one athlete um for example you know I I don't feel like really wanting to watch the the Paul vault because I feel like I don't know there's no competition so that's an interesting point I feel like for me I I kind of had the same like when I was um beginning to be a tennis fan I didn't really enjoy the players that were kind of at the top when they were too dominant I had the same thing with like darts or P aone or whatever but I I think maybe in athletics it's a little different for me because it's so like basically like mathematical like they're they're not only fighting their opponents they're also fighting you know the numbers whereas in tennis you cannot really compare that like you cannot say oh this this much Novak jovic he won 6 to six to 62 and he played at his at at a better level than in his 2021 round two which was the best match in tennis history or something like the best performance so I think maybe that's why in athletics I kind of treat differently I'm actually think I think in athletics I'm kind of more drawn to this individual um achievements of of yeah just athletes who are going to be like you know at a goat Stu yeah for sure that's for sure that's right but as a held meanwhile uh Navaro tried to do something better but still some mistakes here and here and there and yeah it's a bit weird as a match we still haven't seen both players doing let's say well at the same time probably we've never seen them really doing well in general um you know nvada was was solid in the first set you know couple of I don't think we can really say anything negative about her performance in the first set it's just that she had one random game at the start of the second set and for now she it's kind of like setting her back quite a lot so of course we have to see if she actually pays the price for it but yeah like that that's kind of the only flaw of her of her performance so far and it's of course something you shouldn't be doing like I mean you've just taken the first set very confidently and you yeah exactly because you know your opponent it's not like she really started playing much better than she did in the first set so yeah yeah yeah if I got courtside seats at a packed Ash would I like it I mean you know if it was for free of course I would go if I had to pay for it no way you didn't say you would like it you said you would go those are two different things yeah um I guess so yeah I mean I would I would like it for sure yeah and Steve wants us to give gokalp a chance to speak um now I will talk about Istanbul because I saw Nan's comment go ahead so if you don't want to come toble or you do but you need further convincing this is where East Meets West this is our tourism Department's you know speech GI given to you no I'm kidding I saw that he was writing about uh what I would recommend for people who haven't seen the city yeah it's a nice city a lot of history culture food passing shot here not a great volley from Bosa and yeah Navaro wins a game in this second set she stays close in the score so John is talking to us through the screen is that your blog John yes it is wow 2012 holy hell March 25th Sunday nice times before the country went sideways it's still nice it's still beautiful yeah I think badosa is timing her forehand much better than in the first set at least in that second game that she held so I'm curious if that trend is going to continue do you think my I Brook you know Bosa can also feel kind of this pressure of yeah I know that she's playing consistently and her level you know is still very good when she can play when she's injuryf free but um you know given that it's kind of unclear apparently uh you know it's an injury that she has to to deal with it kind of week by week and can she feel like more pressuring I don't know kind of feeling like this is my chance I don't know whether I get another one I like that argument yeah I mean obviously she might feel like I don't know how long this will last I don't know how long I will actually be able to to play at this level and to of course especially be fit enough to play at this level yeah I it it depends on her personality I guess because one way you can go like that like you're saying or you can be like I have a second life in tennis because apparently she was gonna stop after the clay she was seriously considering stopping because she was not getting those nice wins with her back that's right but you know um I think that your speech kind of last as long as you play I don't know Washington the thousands the first week in the major but then you get in the quarterfinal and I don't know um I I think of course whatever player you face and um you know you start putting your eyes on you know on the big prize on the big moment of your career uh I don't know that's that's my feeling so probably you you lose a little bit of of what you were saying in my opinion because I also would have agreed with you until like two or three days ago but right now I don't know uh I'm wondering if of course getting to a major quarterfinal that thing you were mentioning kind of stop existing a little bit in her mind because you know I'm potentially three WIS away from doing something crazy regardless of whoever I have I need and and I have to face and it's naar right now Navaro is a great player but still it's a good chance in a gram quarterfinal because we're still in a gram quarter final so um you know you you of course have to face someone tough to beat and of course better maybe Navaro than of course font or sabalenka for example yeah definitely no I agree with you I think the only positive for her is although it's Navaro Navaro is still like much more informed player in the season so I would say but also is the underdog in in the match maybe not like big in a big way and I think she would be the underdog whoever she plays assuming she plays Pula or shant sabalenka like until the end of the tournament so I think that should help her in terms of the pressure but after this tournament having reached the quarters of a slam after like three three months after considering retiring I think she will have the pressure on herself but she's also saying like I'm born for the big courts big stages I love this uh thing so she she feels probably like I'm up for the pressure and challenge yeah that's right um yeah but for sure today's match is you know not the same as maybe you know facing Sabal Len of course yeah you know favorite Underdog doesn't really matter it's not the match where you enter having nothing to lose so even because I think actually there's not a big difference then I don't know but you know I I feel like we can also say kind of the 5050 thing and we still would be kind of right um yeah then I don't know but yeah so far she's doing better and she's putting now pressure again on a serve yeah previous game she finished with an amazing backhand winner down the line which probably energized her and now she's winning these long points too yeah exactly which was as we mentioned before that thing that was letting her down a little bit among other things in first set you know Navar was kind of always winning the longer Ries um yeah and yeah let's see she can use this chance she has now point for a double break oh no what an error is that like one of those you have to get that insurance break now it's turning we'll see yeah still in the game but that's another costly one um nuran of course she has personality I mean she is with a famous Greek philosopher um and um Steve wanted your thoughts goar on the bat re had at Maya double bounds oh yeah that was hard to watch I mean I think in these cases it's always on the Umpire and with the video review I don't know how the Umpire misses it and like three people the chair and the two guys on the screen inside I don't know if they're any type of umpires or just they're just technical people but like still but yeah it's it's weird how Hadad Maya just walked away because in the stadium they also showed it on the giant screen otherwise I would have given her the benefit of the doubt but it was on the giant screen it was crazy yeah I think the people that they showed to us watching that footage I mean clearly they were umpires in fact I think the chair had like kind of nothing to do with the video review they just um well they just told her that it's not a double bounds go of that call which yeah is ridiculous obviously that people watched this video review and they thought everything is all right and yeah hadat Maya given that she also saw it on the screen I mean I I usually give a lot of benefit of the doubt to the players to be honest because well if you're like not 100% sure that this wasn't you know correct then you're not going to call it on yourself if you're not 100% sure but I mean she saw the footage as well exactly with Draper I had no problem because I trust that he he didn't know what happened but here you're seeing the footage so it's a completely different thing exactly and uh paa badosa with the break after all winning well basically more longer points just better margin on her ground strokes lovely down the line two games ago yeah and I find interesting the question uh on the most pressure on the man's side um and I don't know I was feel I feeling like it it depends if we are talking now before the quarterfinals I would probably go with Z because he's on that half where he's you know the favorite to get into the final while you know I get that of course it's big pressure for cner for sure of course for meev yet too because you know after getting so close to win a second Grand Slam title this is a big chance but they have to face each other so I feel like you know it's really a matter on the next match for for them because it's very tough one for both and and this for sure you know will take a little bit down that pressure of you know winning the title before that quarterfinal happens because yeah I mean it's an incredibly tough match for for both of them uh while you know Zev is in this situation right now where he's on the other half of the draw he has tough players to beat but of course course he's you know the favorite to to get into the final um after the quarterfinals and we will have to see because of course for example whoever wins between of course Yanik and the Neil for sure the pressure will be higher for for for them because you know especially having beaten the tough rival and now I'm in the semi-final and I am the only active slam Champion left in the draw and yeah but I feel like also for for Z it's big big pressure because you know you you're in search on of your maid and major and there are the correct answer is everybody literally yeah also for sure dimitro for example you know it has to be like maybe his last well has to be like his last chance pretty much and yeah maybe medv maybe actually less so despite the fact that everyone is looking at them because well they have that major championship already maybe Danel more than Yanik because Yanik has so much more to achieve in his career and Daniel has missed so many chances already to get that second one but yes verif might be like the the best of Two Two Worlds or actually the worst in this example because he both has the pressure that dimitro has but also kind of has the pressure that CER and zare have exactly he's not a major winner but he's kind of treated like he is so yeah yeah I also think it's very just because he's expected to win the whole thing but I don't think that's the case with demro a great chance to try to become world number one at some point of his career yeah of that to be honest I mean Yanik loses to theil and Zev wins the title zance the US Open as the number one in the race so wow yeah you're right that's wild I wasn't even thinking of that as a possibility to be honest because I knew that of course ver can be number two in the rankings but I was thinking he's still gonna drop quite a lot of points but actually yeah and I mean the race gives you kind of you know I look at at it because gives you an idea of that race for the you know uh the year end number one and I mean of course if Yanik wins G the Neil has no chance but still winning a major winning the Grand Slam will make him get closer and closer so um I you know it's a big chance for him that's for sure uh it's a big chance yeah padusa continues her brilliant attacking in this game seals the double break with her own service game hold I haven't seen like this puzzled in a long time I think because she I feel like she tried going down the middle in during the rallies doing angles and badosa came up with answers to both and she's missing four hands now in this set another one missed in this first point and Steve wants us to give a percentage chance of tifo and Fritz for of actually winning the US Open I would say six and five% respectively yeah if sinner medv andv are the three main favorites and I kind of think the title well isn't guaranteed to go to them but like 85 90% maybe even oh maybe maybe that's so much but like 75% it goes to them then yeah maybe I just give 5% to the other guys I mean TFO and FRS probably have a better shot than the minor Draper so yeah like six s% maybe um Josh says combined 10% which is pretty much the main thing for me is this one let's even forget a little bit about Z imagine that they both get passed to him and reach the final if it's against either cner or Medvedev I take more frez chances than TFO I actually don't to be honest I think TFO has more X Factor like Fritz is just going to lose because well he cannot go above a certain level he cannot mix it up he cannot really like impose himself as as well on the other player as TFO can whereas TFO obviously can just get I don't know destroyed by them but I think he also has unpredictability that Taylor doesn't have and maybe I would give a better chance to Francis because of that but yeah I mean their chances in the final aren't going to be great and that's kind of the problem even more so danare um and also Matthew what was the last time ver had number one in his sights I actually don't even know that French Open when he got injured could it be 22 or yeah I don't know2 so if he wins the title he gets number one or was it no I think I or maybe even as recent as last year there was one grand slam like with four contenders I remember I don't know maybe Matthew is gonna remind us sorry I I lost a little bit of plot to what we were uh no mafew was basically saying that last time very had number one in his sides he crumbled under the pressure and and I don't remember when that was really um so I was asking about that me neither actually I mean he had the chance can remind us at the French Open where he he he broke his uncle but so is it is it about that because I mean I guess he kind of did he he became number two but I don't know he his chance was still there if he didn't get injured yeah but like he was he was blowing it a little bit Yeah but I don't think it because of the number one it's difficult tobly not I was just the probably wasn't in because of number one you know if it's like I need to win this match against a top 20ish player to to become number one and I you know I fumbled the chance then for sure but there it's difficult to tell if it's more because ah I thought it was Australian Open when Nadal won it ah okay okay okay okay I got it uh yeah it there was a chance yes even if it wasn't that close yet in that Australian Open uh but yeah I get I get what you uh what are you talking about myself of that um no I mean Matthew you're probably right um to remind myself the score line there so it's so it's that shapovalov one yeah that was a horrible match that's for sure yeah and then garant was in the third round so or fourth round fourth round right fourth so yeah so it was still pretty early I suppose but yeah I don't remember the exact point situation to be honest that it was um but yeah I think that was also one of the slums where a lot of us were very high on Z's chances to win it and of course yeah he just kind of embarrassed himself in that Forefront yeah apart from Y which is fully capable well it's good that badosa had has that insurance break because um this is this has not been a great game I don't know apart from Yan which other Itali is fully Capal winning a slam oh yeah she that backand Miss was all like I'm shaking closing the set Vibes yeah that I remember Mafia by the way that's very I've said he was part of a new big fre yes that's that I definitely remember yeah you never say that you never say like CR choa I'm I'm also part of the big four then then you go your career kind of stop at least she won a couple of slams kind of right R into saena like three times in two months right was destroyed every time yeah but way the question even if it's really tough I I still would say that probably the best chance given you know how good of a level he can still play at there I would probably say still say that I can see maybe you know bertino grass finding himself in a situation like fritz or tafo there here at the US Open I don't know if it's going to happen but yeah if I have to to to say what can be the The best scenario when I can imagine another Italian being a grand slam Champion I would still take Mato on grass right now because the others they still need to to do something uh yes but probably but it's still a bit far I don't know in the matches you know I've seen him playing against uh for example jovic Wimbledon the I mean but he can find himself in in a good situation um but yeah I still have a little a few dos but yeah he also is yeah they are the most obvious answers that's for sure God because I think the others so far are pretty far I don't know what's happening with badosa by the way she played a very poor game to get broken and now two errors back to back one one one return missed that was like the serve was in the middle of the box and she was already thinking about that second attempt to serve it out it seems yeah and then another back end she was just shaking her arm maybe she's feeling tense although she said in her at the end of her last met that she could play for three hours she was physically feeling that well so it's definitely nothing physical probably more in her head yeah two two pretty poor games but as goar called it a few games ago Insurance break was there the insurance is now out their next game is already going to be you know liability potentially so IFA doesn't want to get sued she has to I should have just waited to see how how long you were going to go with that Insurance liability suing I stopped at the ah yeah 54 but also has one more chance to close out the set yeah of course it would also be very important because then five games sold after being two breaks up it's really an uncomfortable situation to be in also psychologically so yeah it just gives your opponent a boost out of nowhere I don't think novaro was expecting it she won three games in a row now yeah especially because I feel like um yeah these games have have also been kind of easy to to win for here she's not really had to to gave that big of a fight that's right all right yeah this is really where it's at this is the this is the game yeah I'm expecting some switch UPS in this game some Drop shots or something end of the set when you have to get braver from which side from Navaro I think like badosa probably just crosscourt winner attempts big serves she'll want those yeah oh I just realized it's very loud in the stadium because I have it on mute and Bosa had to wait before I also had a mute so at first I didn't understand why there was this I saw people clapping and I understood sener Paul was horrible last night I mean there was this moment when like they were just clapping every single time when Tommy missed I mean when Yanik missed the first serve and then he misses his first serve um like the point is played the Empire says guys can you please not clap between the players first and second serves and the stadium just you know goes quiet and then Yanik misses his first serve and they're just laughing like straight into his face the umpires and everyone is just you know roaring uh I mean it was the drunk crowd on ash right the the fourth slot so night night crowd too many honey Deuces honey Deuces at this honey de's like Towers yeah guys what are we watching here a double fault to go it's actually quite a streak for for Navaro even if she you know hasn't done anything very special yeah five went down right and um yeah but also I mean she she broke to to 15 she held to love as remember and now it's l 30 so oh my God I don't want to say the c word but this definitely looks like choking I thought it was gonna be the Y word I think ah not that far yet yeah kinda I mean two double fults back to back is kind of the theme of this match for B didn't it didn't bounce before the net so sure it's not like sabalenka two years ago yeah oh the match against better son you mean um all ofer Australia's swing I think I think that one was like where she hit a Bas the Baseline with her surf so maybe that another mistake the back end goes long five games all five games all I was fully ready for a third set but yeah I think so was Navaro why does bring out the double Fs in her opponent only person in the world not ready was paa badosa and she convinced herself to bring it to 5 and with that energy Navaro is playing the rally is better than she played at the beginning of the set yeah and like Mario was saying like she doesn't have to do too much she didn't go for Big Shots spend like mental energy I think it's 141 across the last 15 points now yeah and um well H this is pretty brutal so no bosa's second serve one is 26% and that's half of it only half of it is to blame on the double Falls yeah it would also like you know I don't have it right now in front of me so I will probably check after the match but also in this last 15 points where we saw the graphic you know how many aners there she hit so I can give you a bit of an idea because Navaro was at four winners 10 errors when badosa was 411 and now but Navaro is the same but Bosa is 418 so yeah one out of two points in this stretch and also Navaro didn't make any errors when Bosa made seven in like three games or something like that and the frequency is very high like you're [Music] saying yes now she has to serve to stay the match suddenly yeah I was hoping for a high quality third set but also had other plans or maybe doesn't we'll see yeah of course she still has the chance to to win the second set but it's you know she needs to to quickly regroup herself [Music] no did I say second I was I was thinking third like this side I heard third actually come on John okay this first point is important oh ouch good win she's like on the verge of crying right now yeah H yeah I mean h it's for sure a tough situation that's for sure so I think she answered your question from before and and she probably had to have put a lot of pressure on herself because otherwise why would you just disappear going up 51 in the second set she wins two points in a row and that was a second surf on the first surf I think she was just changing it up a bit going safe 30 all big point oh we have Match Point nice forehand from Navaro I have no idea what happened in the last 30 minutes yeah it's difficult really to from 51 she's about to win her sixth straight game oh that's a bit lucky and that's it Emma aano is into the semifinals at the US Open 62 75 she finished in a row yeah she started the match with a drop shot finished it with a drop shot yeah right you're right but that was the shank of Shanks in the middle of the rally great moment for her Navaro in the semis wow not only that but um yeah she will for sure improve her her best ranking even her new ranking even more because she was 10th before this match now she's e and only adad Maya can potentially overcome here so I mean this is crazy she was playing itfs last year this time she was going in and out she was playing WTA 125s in like May ranked 20 homesick she was just homesick that's why maybe she play she's Pula you know she's literally Pula version number two like Pula also just plays everything she can mixed you know doubles singles they just love playing you know yeah and in many ways she's actually Pula number two version number two like you know she breakthrough earlier in her career yeah but like like similar similar type of uh play style even maybe sometimes and then kind of how they approach approached that top player matchups and I kind of couldn't beat them but we're super solid and that's why they were in the top 10 maybe with Jesse it's changing a bit now but um yeah I mean what badosa did today yeah that was not as rough as I mean that that that was kind of as rough as Navarro's Wimbledon quarterfinal performance so yeah yeah I I also work in the other way you know right now she's in the semis and I guess many people would would like would be like oh hope we have the rematch with Zang after the Olympics drama and that's why I'm no I don't want it please I I would have wanted it but it's too unrealistic for me otherwise I would have definitely wanted that popcorn match I would for the handshake but I know sabalenka is just too strong this tournament uhh yes but but I don't know I feel like this should be a different still a different I would be surprised if it's the same story as the Australian Open yeah and last year she's still a favorite of course [Music] but um whatever happened to epex soyu injuries and she's retired now unfortunately why does NA bring out the double f their opponent says Matthew it's a skill honestly it's a skill you know you make your opponent play worse than they usually do but I think today more so it was the neres the occasion that made badosa play worse than she usually is uh but I mean yeah it's a fantastic season for Emma and um kind of a great way to cap it off of course it's not the end of the year we still have two WT 1000s we still have the WT finals where she might be a part of them in fact she has just done well very nice step towards that qualification but um yeah but yeah and it's also interesting because you also were mentioning about the 125s and everything and those points don't count in the WTA race um so yeah but right now she she sits at the sixth place there and yeah so I she she's got a fairly good chance to to to try to qualify especially that result will tell us a lot because you need to be top seven to to qualify because of the r change is in already basically unless someone kind of well had Maya wins the US Open for example and maybe then but no she would still have more points than kova actually if mova wins the US Open then it might be a thing like if if moova can win the US Open and then something more as well then she could actually Kick K chikov out so I guess kova isn't oh yeah but it will become kind of a fight between them yeah yeah exactly yeah but um but Emma great chance right now yeah it's it's unclear what Daniel Collins will be like after the US Open like what sort of events she's going to play um em I is in there fantastic event fantastic season yeah she was scheduled for guad but I guess at this point she won't go to guadalahara yeah oh I don't know but yeah repeat for sure to tonight's result between Kwan and sabalenka will tell us you know for sure if Kwan loses then the chances will be very very very high for for Emma but also for you know also Pula would be a bit safer before for playing IGA given that Pula now is a seventh so she's the you know the the last was not in the movie Challengers at least not that I know of because I didn't watch the movie but I think if I was in the movie I would probably know it I think at least no one else told me that so probably not probably not and uh yeah what what a match and not really in terms of the quality in terms of the story narrative drama sure Yeah by way naar that's right Navaro reached the Grand Slam semi-final before Pula yeah I saw a tweet from someone about that um course Jesse might just follow it up tomorrow as well yeah absolutely it's still the same tournament so it's not like because of the schedule so if but yeah she is a very tough test ahead of her very tough obstacle let's see someone who does not have a grand Stam semifinal at to her name is paa badosa and well she will not get it here uh so yeah tomorrow I mean later today there's going to be sabalenka against Jen um do you guys have any um confidence in kinan potentially getting the upset their last two matches were pretty lopsided oh yeah I as I repeat I think sabalenka enters again as the favorite in the match and I'm actually expecting here to to win but it will be important for me to to see you know actually the process also in the matchup if kimw can hang it in it better and I feel she should uh she's she's playing good tennis right now she's in good form in good confidence she's you know she's in the right place to to to try playing a good match and thinking about upsetting SA valenka then maybe it doesn't happen but yeah I I would be a bit disappointed to see the same thing we've seen you know at the US Open last year and at the Australian Open this year yeah I I agree that sabalenka is the favorite I mean it's probably very obvious but juman is coming with confidence she said that she was a bit uh nervous at the Australian Open final last year here it was even a worse match for her but it was her first quarterfinal now after the Olympics she said that you know um after the Gold she didn't stop working like apparently she did a bit like she kind of lost motivation after the Australian Open final and she's physically holding very well I didn't realize that after Cincinnati she flew back to China for some ceremony came back to New York in like such a short period of time um but she's so hungry in these matches she's she's not shying away from any any big you know Clash anisimova first round veic like that final rematch in the fourth round Eric Andrea nay these are not like easy opponents so I think she'll have confidence it might be a very good match but sabalenka I think will be too strong for her yeah I mean what we saw last year and what we saw in Australia was pretty telling when someone is hitting like that deep heavy of both Wings it's tough for Ken to execute her game she needs a bit of space I don't know I don't really see it I think veic is a very different opponent with just yeah different type of ball striking than Arena much more you know early timing rather than actual heaviness yeah and this one seems to be like a lot worse rakina sabalenka are just very rough for kingan so far and I don't really know what would have changed since then maybe if she has like a remarkable serving day or of course there's always the chance that someone like will have a slightly you know slower part of the like slightly weaker performance but yeah we haven't re seen her recently and she seems back in that Australian Open form SL last year's US Open form and our producer also wanted us to talk about siner medev for five minutes if you guys still have time um so yeah I mean we already talked about this I guess Mario and me mentioned that it's like a 50/50 for us are you also of that uh IDE goal that medv has a real shot at Yanik this time as well yeah I think so I think I feel like he's going to get the win although I don't think it's like 6040 but I think he's like slightly ahead for me maybe it's because of his press conferences or his stats he had a very nice draw Medvedev but still like he had this beautiful first week uh so I think that brings some uh confidence and I think he's hungry to play these kind of matches like his win over alcarez last year ALR wasn't very good but still medv showed up and he he showed that he wanted to play those kind of matches so I think he's gonna get the win against Center and uh just one thing a reporter was asking him um like how are you going to get Australia out of your mind something like that the match in Australia and he was saying I'm going to think about Wimbledon they even they forgot about that match so yeah it's a stupid question yeah exact when you said it I was like well I mean it wasn't exactly like that but Med was saying like yeah there's the match at Wimbledon as well so yeah I would have you know it could have been kind of an intelligent question is I don't know it was the final yeah it was final final and so you know the only other grandslam final they have played it's Australian Open and so you know it would have made but it's a quarterfinal so Wimbledon was the Grand quarterfinal as well there was also for example Miami even if it's not best of five I don't know many things happened since then so I don't really think and also I mean I don't know if I have to yeah just to analyze I really think it's you know this matchup has kind of become more more or less a 50/50 both players are fine you know for example served incredibly bad in Miami and and this made all all the difference and we've seen you know that kind of straightforward win for for Yanik um then again there been close matches Vienna Beijing even if it was a straight Set uh and Wimbledon of course and the Australian Open were very close matches um so yeah for me it's really a 50/50 even because we can argue that on the hard courts also they are you know um they they are the best of course there there are other players into the conversation but you know uh it's also their their surface where they've got the biggest wins of their careers when they've got the biggest things and um we will know that it's going to be last match of the day uh I already knew but the order of play now is out and so we have you know the confirmation of this I don't think it makes any difference it was just to say everybody that that it's confirmed [Music] um yeah I really struggle actually I have to be honest to um I know what I expect of course from the matchup but if I have to say who wins you know it would be a guess for me based on you know know my feeling but um I really you know before the match both have been okay in this first week they started with a slow start in the first round after that they've played well I would say and maybe medev hasn't served that well yet and probably would need that um you know serve level to to improve even more uh yeah but overall I feel like both have their shot and it feels for me kind of a 50-50 Clash so yeah appreciate the confidence from GOP I think it's really high time that we stopped treating meddev as like someone who cannot win matches on Hardcore against pretty much anyone like I don't know or even wbl done against CER in the quarters as well um that match against Carlos of course last year is the perfect example of everyone just riding him off whereas yeah it should not be the case at all and um yeah what I'm going to say is that I kind of do tend to lean Med as well I think Yanik still has a few like potential best of five weaknesses that he can kind of work on and um just perhaps in the humid conditions in New York theni you can grind him down this is I mean this is not going to be anything like I'm not goingon to be discovering America here but I mean when CER when Med have beat C at Wimbledon Carlos was awaiting in the semis and now he's not so like well wins this one and he's becomes the favorite for the title and that's also massive that's also really something that is going to be a factor I don't know if a positive or negative one in his mind really maybe he's not going to be thinking about it he shouldn't be obviously but just in terms of the the actual sort of importance of this match yes it's absolutely massive the winner of that will be the winner of the tit will be the favorite for the title maybe uh they will also kind of feel like yeah this is a small final we shouldn't meeting in the quarters of course there's still ZF in the event but uh yeah I think it's absolutely massive and it's pretty much a 5050 for me as well uh I just think that madv has a really really good shot to take this and I'm pretty pumped for it yeah it's it's it's going to be a huge Clash I know that some people even said that this shouldn't be happening that like you know number one against number five seeds shouldn't be playing the quarters well that's the draw system we have I think that clearly we are going to have a cracker here in the quarterfinal stage and I wouldn't be surprised go go five like at Wimbledon yeah no one was saying that when Casper was number five so yeah it really it all depends yeah it's just sometimes that fluctuation is nice sometimes it's not I don't know I think I guess I would be for surface specific seating systems but like it likeu had at Wimbledon but in this case would it rechange much I mean Med would still be right four or five pretty much so uh but anyway yeah that's not yeah because it's not like the others have got you know bad uh hardcord results all the top five is great on hardcour so yeah yeah absolutely so yeah so yeah that's it I think from a matchup point of view I think everybody knows uh what we can expect uh and I think being such a high stake match I don't think we'll get to see big surprises um John was mentioning 13 matches in four years it's actually nine in the past two seasons already and so and I pretty much sure it's been the most frequent matchup over the past two years because it was um six last year met V and V but this year they've only met once I think at the Australian Open so and that's because they keep going deep that's because they keep going deep in these events they've played a lot of finals against one another semi-finals now quarterfinals as well clearly it's been one of the M the the best rivalries of the last couple of years even if it's so lopsided six love 65 now we have one more win with Med for Med I don't know what's going to happen later but uh we kind of are at about an even playing field at the moment it seems at least in this in this event at least in conditions like this so yeah hopefully it will be just amazing and um yeah I guess that's more or less what we had to say for today um there's GNA be a stream from sabalan Ken there's gonna be a stream from uh TFO dimitro as you could have already read in the chat so make sure to tune for that you can know as we've shown we've seen lately you know sinner also having been able to to to win ugly for example in Cincinnati and we also playing well but um you know pecking at the right moment like yesterday in the first couple of sets uh let's see if this will will make a difference now if I'm thinking about it nice I have I have nothing I have nothing else on medev Center now this was my second uh kind of low match in a row on the channel so I'm hoping to break that streak it was rakina Fernandez with like 85 double Vols now this today so next one I know it's gonna be good because two
