SEC Teams RANKED 2024!

[Music] hey guys welcome back to the channel today's big deal is going to be college football or more specifically the sec I'm going to be going through and ranking each team of where I think they lie now this is going to be based on pre-season uh Records so everybody's going to start at zero to zero I am a little late putting this out so a few of these teams have already had a game uh come this recording or they may have already hit their first game in the next couple of days since you've seen the video but this is for the 2024 to 20125 college football season and I'm just going to be going through and putting each team where I think they lie before the season starts and we're going to see if I'm right if I'm wrong by the time the season comes to a close and it'll give you an opportunity to throw down in the comments who you think I got right who you think I got wrong and what you think about my rankings if you think it's full of crap if you think it's spoton let me know for sure it in the comments let's keep it clean let's keep it cordial but without further Ado let's jump right into it the first team that we're going to be looking at is going to be Kentucky now I also want to point out the rankings here um we can put them in five different categories the worst category not actually being worst uh but actually being are they FCS yet uh which if you know anything about college football you know that's just a division right underneath the FBS um which is basically just saying or they even in why are they in this league why are they in the SEC um just my own personal Twist on that ranking the next one is going to be the worst this is going to be the one uh that was kind of pre-loaded in here um this is just one that I think is going to be right above like they're not quite the worst team in the league but they're just they're not really pulling their weight you're not seeing much from them they don't have any consistency um so they're near the bottom the next is going to be Pretender these are the ones that I feel are either going to be kind of even out through throughout the seasons or they're kind of up and down the roller coaster team or maybe they're just not going to live up to the hype that I think they have you know some of these teams to me are a little overhyped or maybe a little overrated someone say uh so we're just going to go through and and put some in there but they're not quite the worst but they're not quite in that Contender status now the next one is of course that Contender ranking which is going to be the ones that I feel are not quite all SEC not quite the kings of the mountain yet um maybe still have a little left to prove or maybe just need to put some consistency behind their playing but they do maybe have a winning season they maybe uh do decent against ranked opponents uh whatever the case is I mean it's my list so it's really just my criteria my personal opinions also and personal biases will come out in this list um and then obviously we have the all SEC now this is going to be the cream of the crop you know the top of the league uh the top of the conference I should say I keep saying league but the the top of the SEC the best teams that we have to offer um this is going to be where I put those now for Kentucky they are definitely not going to be all sec I'm sorry if there are any Kentucky fans out there um last season they went seven and six um I think the highest rank they got was number 20 out of the AP polls throughout the year um they did beat number nine Louisville uh for the last game of the season but all in all I mean they're seven and six last season I'm not going off of just last season I'm trying to keep it fair and keep it as partial as I can um but for me they're going to go right there and Pretender they're just one of those teams that are a good solid Middle Ground they're not super great but they will have an upset now and then but they're not quite the bottom either now going on to missou missou is a team that if you would have told me they would be where they are right now about three to five years ago even you know maybe two years ago I wouldn't have believed you but mou is starting to really catch some around they're starting to really hit their stride and really starting to surprise some people now they may not always have the strongest of schedules um but they do have some of the strongest of Records last year they went 11- two um their only two losses being to LSU and to Georgia um and their highest rank that they got up to was number eight in the nation um they also beat number 14 Tennessee at the time and they beat a number seven Ohio State in a bowl game now I know a lot of you out they're going to chop my head off because I'm talking about bowl games you know teams don't go all out they don't take it serious players opt out teams don't play like they're supposed to they don't have anything to play for I get it but it's it's a big deal to me and it's a big deal to the fans and it's a good way to see two juggernauts go at it sometimes or just two quality ranked opponents get to play somebody they typically probably wouldn't pet play and I I I believe still the bowl games are important I know coming up this season everything's different we're not going to have sec East and West we're not going to have um just so many bowl games that don't have any implications we have that 12 team playoff now so there's going to be a lot more opportunity the doors have busted wide open uh Lord knows what's going to happen right but for me mou is actually going to fall right into that Contender spot I think they have something strong going I think they have something good going um I know they've already played a game this season um definitely check out that final but for this list I'm trying to keep it just based off of the past and they're they're rolling they're going they're they're definitely setting themselves up for something good but only time will tell if they're going to be a force to be reckoned with or if they're just going to fall right back to where they were next we have the Rocky Top we have Tennessee now this is a team that fell off last season in my opinion uh they went N9 and4 uh they did beat uh number 20 Iowa at the time in the Citrus Bowl another bowl game I know um they only lost um I mean they they lost big to Florida um they lost to Alabama they lost to missou they lost to Georgia uh they they're just not you know where they were a couple years ago when they were you know getting ranked in the top 10 when they were taking out Alabama take upsetting Georgia and you never really know which way they're going to go um I I don't really see them really taking the goal post for swim this year but I will put them in Contender just because of the consistency they've shown over the last few seasons um like I said last season they kind of fell off um honestly I'm actually going to change that uh to Pretender because that was a big fall off and I just don't think they have what it takes to keep it going but maybe they'll prove me wrong maybe maybe so now Florida Florida is the next um Florida I'm just going to go ahead and drop him right here in the worst um they had a 5 to seven season uh they had a five game losing streak uh at the end of the season um they honestly they they've beaten themselves more than anything uh they lost to Florida State uh like by more than 10 points I believe or maybe right at 10 points um they they did beat a number 11 Tennessee last season um but they're just not it you know Florida is one of those teams that has a a great history and a great established uh you know records at at performing at the highest of levels where there for championships whether for conference championships no matter the case you know Florida is one of those teams that's always going to be there it's a very established program very traditional place but as of right now in the current state of college football they're just not doing it and I believe that puts them at the bottom of the SEC maybe not the very bottom but pretty close to it now next we have the the juggernauts we have Georgia now it's much as I would love to put them down here as much as I would love to just you know Sully their name and talk about how terrible they are and how the dogs just aren't it and they're overrated yada yada they're all SEC we know it you know it even if they're not your favorite team they are forced to be reckoned with this is the Georgia Bulldogs Kirby is building something great there the program is consistent now I do think he has a lot to a lot of credit to give to Sabin but also a lot of credit to not give to Sabin I believe he is painting something of his own um but I do believe there are a lot of values there and a lot of uh foundational things there in the Georgia program that was helped by the me mentorship that he went through with Sav uh but Georgia I mean last year I mean they they lost one game that was the SEC championship against Alabama by three points um I mean they dominated Florida State in that Orange Bowl the infamous bowl game against Florida State where Florida State opted out and you know 63-3 I think it was and it was just they're they're they could be a new Dynasty you know they they show show up and they do their job and they do what they're supposed to do every single time they've been consistent the past few years they've won Gold and I believe they have what it takes to win gold again this year but only time will tell South Carolina this is another one they're going to go right here in the Middle with Kentucky and Tennessee in The Pretender column they were five- seven uh last season their best win was a win against Kentucky by three points so that kind of tells you exactly where they were um they have no ranked opponent wins from last season um they did also lose their rivalry game against Clemson 16 to7 um there at the end of the season but South Carolina is one of those programs that I would put him at the worst but their SE their like I said their season record is pretty even um they're they're not I don't think they're quite down there with Florida and a couple of these other teams yet but they are right there in the Middle where really they they decide their own destiny whether they're going to to Sol ify themselves whether they're going to move up or whether they're just going to slip right back down now talking about sliding down we have the commodor we have the Vanderbuilt strong army man this is one of the best powerhouses in all of the SEC all of college football knows the name Vanderbilt and they know it because they're one of the worst teams in the country uh I think they won what two two games last season it was their first two games I think one was Hawaii and the other one couldn't tell you maybe Southern Alabama or Alabama A&M something like that um they have a 10 game losing streak their college football stadium is only completed in a V virtual Video Game World and it's still not completed in the real world they still have construction going on um they have all this fancy stuff they have a lot of money but not much to show for it if you get what I mean U Vanderbilt are they FCS yet they are the Bottom now this of course SEC incom is a lot more than just college football but because that is the point of this video they are at the bottom of the bottom I don't even think another team deserves to be down that low but we will see oh miss is the next one on our list now Old Miss is one of those teams again they are not the Juggernaut that Georgia is they are not the Juggernaut that I believe Alabama cons be they are not the the same level as Texas however I believe that they are still all SEC now don't shoot my head off just yet think about it this way last season they went 11 and two their only two losses were against the number 13 Alabama and by number one Georgia they also beat a number 10 Penn State in the Peach Bowl they're building something great it is another saving assistant as an Alabama fan Alabama fan I am of course biased they have a program going there I think kein is building something great I think he is right there behind Kirby I don't think he's neck and neck I'm not trying to put them on the same level don't give them that much credit but I do believe they are a picture of what the SEC is and a picture of the quality football that this program still has to offer next on the complete opposite side of that spectrum is going to be Texas a& M now this is a team that every single year without fail especially as an Alabama fan it hurts because I hear them hyped up so much and they are given so much opportunity and hype and Grandeur and every single time they drop the ball figuratively and literally they are just not there for me I think they are a straight up Pretender I think they embody we're actually going to put them even though these aren't ranked by category I'm going to put them right there next to that word because I believe that Pretender is the perfect place for them they are going to lose the hype train again this year I don't believe they're going to go anywhere they were seven and six last season so they're right there in their middle ground but they did not win against a single ranked opponent last year they lost to unranked Miami and to number 22 Oklahoma State in the Texas Bowl didn't even win the bowl named after him um I am a Texas A&M hater as you would say I do think the 12th man is looking very weak nowadays and I do not think college station is going to be rocking anytime soon unless it is against an FCS opponent on homecoming the next team is going to be Oklahoma now Oklahoma is a big team I don't want to put them quite on the same path as the all SCC and with Texas but I will put them in Contender status and I'm going to tell you why I think Oklahoma has every opportunity to be the face of the SEC with Texas and Georgia and Old Miss but I I I do believe that they are still in their Proving Ground now they did beat Texas last season um and they did go 10 and three they did lose uh to an unranked Kansas team by five um they did lose an unranked Oklahoma State rivalry game by three as an Alabama fan I know exactly how hard a rivalry game can be to win um however I believe they can be one of the top top but this is going to be the Proving Ground for them joining the SEC and getting to mix it up with programs that have consistently just shown that they can outdo the Big 10 and the Big 12 and the pat 12 and the whoever you know even though uh the conference is all realigned this is going to be their Proving Ground they were the big dogs then but can they do it here so the next team is going to be Arkansas now Arkansas this is just bacon bits ham and cheese whatever you want to call them they are the worst Arkansas is not a contender they're not even a pretender at this point I I I do love uh their fan base as well as uh the fan bases of Auburn and LSU and Mississippi State um where they do have some very loyal fan bases and you don't see much bandwagoning uh which is always a good thing because Arkansas is one of those programs there is going to consistently let you down and I know that your fans are in pain year after year um but as an Alabama fan and also a patriot fan I can tell you I've been up there to the highest of highs and I have seen the lowest of lows so good job sticking with your team but Arkansas as a program was 4 and eight last season they did beat Florida by three they lost to LSU by three they lost to oh miss by three by seven they lost to Alabama by three points um but then they lost to Auburn by 38 they lost to missou by 34 points and they lost to Texas A&M by 12 what is going on in Arkansas this is such a roller coaster team and you never know where they're going to end up you never know how they're going to play and you don't know what you're getting honestly but you do know that they're probably only going to win those four games and you do know that even if it's a fight you might come out on top and you might still beat them but who knows what they're going to do this year it it's really really if there was a question mark category they would have it all by themselves next is going to be Mississippi State now Mississippi State this is another team that their record wasn't much better than Arkansas their record was five and seven um they did beat Arkansas last year uh they won by a whole s-3 that was a real uh final game points uh go ahead and look that one up um it was also the only win they had against another SEC team was Arkansas uh so I think that is situated them right there in that worst category um I just they're another team like Texas A&M where the hype is not there for me I've never really gotten behind it I remember when they first came into the SEC and everybody's like oh Mississippi States big Powerhouse here they come and that's what I fear won't happen to Oklahoma um but those cow bells just aren't ringing anymore I don't know can't hear them I don't know what's going on anymore Texas is the next one on our list and as much as I do not want to put Texas anywhere near the top I have to put them at all SEC now I know I'm kind of buying into the hype train here they did beat Alabama last year they only lost two games one was an in what I was going to say instate rivalry one of them was a rivalry game against Oklahoma and the other one was against Washington in the semifinals in the Sugar Bowl um which Washington did go on to lose to Michigan in the national championship but there's a lot of storylines that play there now that Alabama has Washington's head coach but anyway uh speaking on Texas uh it's the Longhorns I mean they're an established program they're year after year they're strong um I do believe the SEC is going to be proven ground for them too but I believe that they bring in a little bit more of a headstrong uh narrative into the SEC than Oklahoma does like this is Texas you know this is the Longhorns this is Matthew MCC this is the Big Orange you know whatever you want to whatever however you want to put it Texas is established Texas is uh consistent season after season and this is going to prove whether they belong to be or whether they belong at the top or whether they belong at the bottom so we'll see I do believe they're going to have a strong record this year I believe that they're going to come out swinging especially against their fellow SEC teams this year um I believe they have potential to be in the SEC Championship game but time will tell the next team that we have is them the Tigers the orange and blue the the the the Jordan hair scare scare at Jord I don't know y'all know what I'm saying it's the Auburn Tigers who who really knows who they are anymore that we don't really know you know much about their head coaches because they change every few years we don't know what their program is going to do they fluctuate they get big upsets and then they lose Grand you know you never know what's going to happen with the Auburn Tigers if you're an Auburn fan out there and I know there's at least a few that'll probably watch this video I I don't like you I like you as a person I love you as a person I think you're a big deal but your team stinks your team stinks and it's time to come to grips you're not rebuilding anymore you're just stuck you're you're you're six and seven last season you lost to number one Georgia by only seven points you only lost to number 13 Old Miss by seven and only lost to Alabama by three points if it wouldn't have been for the fourth and 31 right that Big Miracle play after years of hearing the kick six we finally pull it off and we finally hit you where it hurts and in your home so I hope this stings and I hope it sucks and you then you just went on to lose to Maryland in the Music City Bowl finally you make it to a bowl game and you lose to Maryland and Auburn is just one of those teams man that even though I have a personal bias against them they prove me right every single year I believe that now that they've ditched the Cadillac for a moped that the freeze warning is not making them coldblooded but making them frigidly stand still Auburn is is going to most definitely be a pretender most definitely going to be in the worst category matter of fact we're going to put him with Vanderbilt because even though I believe you might belong in the worst category I can't get over the fact that you are Auburn and the Rivalry runs deep I still love you though but LSU there the next team these are my second most hated tigers in the entirety of college football there's only three big tiger teams that I don't like and the only other one is in the ACC and they're not on this list but LSU I have to give props for props is due they are happily and comfortably in that Contender spot they do consistently make good plays they make consistently good program or their program is consistently good year after year last season so to speak they went 10 to three um their losses were number eight Florida State at the beginning of the season when everybody thought Florida state was going to be it uh number 20 Old Miss and number eight Alabama they did beat Wisconsin in the reler quest Bowl uh who knows what that was by four points but they did show up and represent for the SEC they do have something to show but consistency is going to be key for LSU are they going to be able to keep it consistent and prove they deserve to be in that Contender spot or are they gonna fall and prove me wrong and end up in the worst or even the the bottom category with Vanderbilt and Auburn who knows we'll see it's the LSU Tigers you might have a buros or you might just not be able to tell what the head coach is saying but we're going to get it on moving away from the NRE Dame Irish LSU heads of whatever um the next team I lost my train of thought there don't don't point it out because I have so much to say about the last team on this list this is of course my favorite team in all of college football of course the number one in my heart always number one no matter if they win or they lose this is the Alabama Crimson Tide now I do have to say this is going to be a crazy year to be an Alabama fan we have lost Nick sain as our head coach he is still involved he still has an office there he still gives feedback but at the end of the day the is coach he makes the final decision and that's just the way it's going to be now what that means for our program what that means for our season I don't know we do still have jayen milroe we do still have weapons on offense and defense but I have no idea I want to put them at all SEC but we did did lose coach I want to put him at Contender but we did have some transfers I want to put him at Pretender but they did what are you thinking I'm going to do you think I'm going to buy into the hype you think I'm going to let this stuff this outside what some a great man once said rat poison will kill you and you know what I believe the media and the stories and this and that I've heard all kinds of stuff from Alabama fans from non- Alabama fans the tide will still roll we are Alabama and we are not going to take this line down we are not going to go to sleep we are not going to shy away from the nil or shy away from the 12 team playoff this is Alabama this is where Champions are made this is where Legends are made and this is in my opinion one of the biggest years for Alabama last year they went 12-2 they lost to Texas in week two they lost to Michigan in the semi-final by seven a bad snap kept it from possibly going to overtime but who knows we still could have got stopped but the tide will still roll we have milro we have dbor we have recruits our program has not stopped and we are going to keep going and we're going to keep rolling and we're going to see where this crazy tide takes us but I guarantee you we're still going to be on top so come check me at at the end of the season when some of your favorite teams especially if you're down here in the bottom section especially if you like orange and blue or especially if you're from the Rocky Top and you like to talk about Tennessee and throwing gold poost into the water just wait cuz that Crimson Tide it'll drown you all well that's my rankings y'all don't take it too seriously it's all for fun it's all very biased it's all very rivalry based of course but take it with a grain of salt let's enjoy this coming up football season I know I'm going to I'm already stuck to the TVs and stuck to the stats let's just enjoy another year a big year for the SEC a big year for all of college football who's going to make it in that 12 team playoff I'll probably have another video with a prediction on that but I have a couple more to do before then but let's see exactly where this list goes are they going to stay come midseason will this still ring true come the end of the season will this still ring true how many of these teams do you think will make it how many of these teams I overrated or I underrated let me know in the comments shout it out at me tell me
