warnings for New South Wales this morning with 23 bush fires burning right across the state and the unseasonably warm weather is set to continue we cross live now to Jake Lyall who's at the RFS headquarters in Sydney Jake morning to you uh gosh it looks like we're headed for a dreaded Fire season what are authorities saying yeah good morning to you m that's certainly right now we are less than one month away now from the official start season the start to the bush F season here in New South Wales and authorities they say things could get very dangerous very fast now this comes down to two main factors the first being the weather anyone living in Sydney over the past few weeks will know conditions have been hot and windy and that higher than average heat is expected to carry through until at least December bringing those unusually high temperature days and nights now the second factor is a lack of Hazard reduction Burns we're told this morning less than half of the target will be met by October 1 and that means there'll be plenty of fuel on the ground ready to burn as summer days heat up now of course our RFS is doing everything they can to get New South Wales prepared for this bush Fire season but mon It's Quickly becoming a Race Against Time yes it certainly seems that way all right Jake L for us there at RFS headquarters thank you
