Celtic taking care of business today 3-0 in Paisley over St mirin let's talk about it roll [Applause] [Music] it find you hello everyone welcome in welcome back to Hoops across the pond I am Cory costic this is the costic fan so yes yes yes indeed he do Celtic take down St Marin 3-0 in their own building uh very very solid showing from Celtic um you know I I went into this match fully expecting them to take care of business and that's exactly what they did so recapping the game uh you know right out of the gate Callum McGregor uh third minute goes slams in a goal uh gives uh keeper got his his fingertips on it but just couldn't get the Stop and that put us up one nil um later in the first half hatate goes and um amid the speculation that he's being looked at by other clubs hatate goes and buries one as well makes it two um and after halftime an absolute beauty of a ball into Alistair Johnson um from [ __ ] and he makes it three so Celtic get the clean sheet um dominant performance truly 76% possession to uh St Mar's 24 21 total shots eight of which went on target the keeper had a very busy day for St Marin um but that's not the complete story while this was a very strong performance for the Celtic Football Club um St mirin made no um had no hesitation about going and pushing Celtic and uh trying to get up High um but in the end Celtic is just too good for them um and schmeichel only had one save that he needed to make against three total shots so shich didn't have a ton to do but the defense was just really strong this is this is what I wanted to see out of Celtic um right you know we just sold Matt O'Reilly to Brighton and HOV albian so you lost a major piece of the puzzle on the first team and with that you need to try and figure out like what your team is going to be like now that you've lost this player the good news is is that Bernardo came in and he played very very well today he played very well there wasn't a lot of areas where I I thought that truly needs to be better um cuz I I thought we were strong I thought we played very well um and at the end of the day we got three points so this is going to be a busy week for Celtic and you know I'm I'm a little concerned uh it just because it's the Rangers match coming up um I always get nervous before the Glasgow Derby so just take my words with a grain of salt here I just feel like we need to go and get our transfer business done quickly then we need to focus but we need to remain focused and Vigilant on this match um there was no preig game distraction for Celtic today which is I'm glad to see I feel like um Brendan Rogers had them as good as he could have today frankly I will say the one thing that was frustrating was uh I really wanted to see kyogo finally score an a away goal again in the league but whatever he didn't managed to do that he didn't play terribly he he was definitely trying to um to get one in and he made a really nice run that did eventually get saved but I wanted to see that happen it didn't AA kind of struggled let let's talk about Adam for a second um Adam Eda in his first start since returning to Celtic um kept getting pushed out wide the whole time and big man I need you to stay in the middle you've got you've got WID men for that um and this is the this is the contrast between Adam Eda and kiyoka fahashi that is really really telling when you look at how Celtic plays cuz with kyogo you're going over the top and you're trying to break them with speed and while Adam does have some speed to him he's a Target man you should be trying to use Adam's size not his speed so when they keep having him make runs and he keeps getting pushed out wide because he's the only guy there you know make some tactical adjustments but at the end of the day AA doesn't score kyogo doesn't score we still win and that's truly what's important but it was really frustrating to continually watch AA get pushed out to the left or to the right when he was trying to make runs but that's just nitpicking at this point so what did you think of the game today I thought we were fantastic today I thought we played very very well and um I am of course nervous but excited heading into the first glasow derby of the season so uh let me know what you think below like comment subscribe I am Cory cosic this is the cosic fan see you later screaming at the will it be enough I can't make it make sense it's all out of my head I'm doing what I can with the mess that I am
