Mega Grid series here at the P at the Paul Ricard circuit I'm delighted to have for the very last time my legendary co- commentator Rob Barker good evening Rob good evening Sean hopefully hopefully not the the uh the very last time ever definitely definitely the very last time for this uh series but good evening Sean good evening everybody and welcome in thank you rob yeah it's it's it's very very good to have you alongside me because um definitely brings a bit of a tear to my ey that this is the last round of what has been an absolute awesome season uh there's been so many great battles up and down the grid few twists and turns throughout the championship uh but it's all come down to the final couple of round races here at the Paul Ricard circuit where we will find out who will be Crown season 10 champion of the FR frl pure Sim gear super sprint series for both the pros and the AMS drivers live tonight here on the formula Racing League tvor PS5 channel so uh Rob can you give us all the info and details on tonight's Grand Finale please yeah sure can the drivers are just work uh making their way around their last couple of laps in the 60-minute practice session qualifying will start uh probably a little bit later uh than scheduled and a bit of a server issue at the beginning so probably about five past the hour uh well maybe a little bit later than that the qualifying will start 20 minutes qualifying 10 minutes for the pros 10 minutes for the amps of course this is a mixed class race this evening race one will be a 20-minute Sprint race two will be a 40-minute race no pit stops uh are mandated so um but refueling is allowed uh they will not need to change any tires either 40 points for the Victor points will be awarded all the way down to P30 thank you rob uh so basically I'm not overly familiar with um the circuit um other than it's part of the F1 roster so he a good job I've got my co- commentator alongside me uh the man with the stats and a bit of history of tonight's race can you help me though Rob sure can so tonight we Grace the abas bast fault and none other than the poyard circuit located in uh I can never say this on time La castellet France and named after its founder the track stands out from many of the other circuits for its Advanced safety features probably not so stand out with the name though but here you will see excessive runoff areas uh with varying levels of grip to help slow any wandering cars uh and they are officially known as the POR recard red and the PO recard blue genius although it looks like there could be a thousand iterations of this circuit they don't actually use that many variants here at PA r car tonight we will be using uh and racing on the 1 a version 2 layout which is pretty much identical to the F1 uh layout uh other than the chicane at Nord through turns 8 and N so 13 turns today five to the left to the right 3.5 M circuit features the mistra straight uh which is coming in about just over 1.1 mil long plenty of opportunities to overtake here the straight being one of them into betet deont bender and laa set also offering a cheeky Glimpse for a pass all right thank you rob uh yeah hopefully that will help me out a little bit more um but yes um before we uh get into qualifying uh we do need to have a look at the current driver standings for both the pros and the AMS after week s so sitting pretty on top of the Pro driver standings we have zadin Vel who is a comfortable 44o lead with 475 points with two back-to- back p2s so um there is no uh lap guide I've got in store for you guys tonight uh for the final race as I have no experience on this particular circuit so I will have to leave that to The Experts to demonstrate um I.E the drivers on the circuit uh both the pros and the AMS uh so Rob how's the weather looking out there on circuit and any particular driver looking strong out there so it's pretty warm out on track uh again this evening uh sh we have a couple of warm races 31° ambient 38° track temperature with a little bit of wind 3 km hour wind so far uh the practice session has now rounded off and the drivers will start their qualifying lap but looking at some of the times uh for the pros uh uh Bellamy uh with an excellent surge towards the end of the practice session did momentarily put his car uh on P1 uh but uh Vel uh stole that uh top spot back with just a couple of minutes to go uh Blake T ton also looking quick in practice as is Boo off and for the AMS Championship leader seems to be struggling a little bit off the pace and it was indeed um Clayton who we haven't seen race on the Sunday series thus far but clayon took the top spot Bruno olac very quick as well and also Lou scz performing really well in practice so who knows yes indeed yeah um it's definitely a mystery here um we have no idea uh how the drivers will perform today although Vel uh being uh over 40 points in the lead for the pro drivers uh the way we worked it out was um he only needs a P10 in both the races to to become crowned Champion uh for this uh super sprint series uh so bu and also busov will have to finish uh on a pole position on both races so uh it's quite a tall order for busov to um to get these race victories and uh and for Vel to finish uh you know outside of the top 10 so um it it could happen but with Vel who has won I believe uh eight races out of uh the 16 available um well actually 14 available so far but uh the two today will make it 16 so uh it's looking highly unlikely all his uh racing positions have been uh uh Podium or better uh he had one week where he got two dnfs uh but other than that he has uh finished at least in the top three every race but most of them uh coming from the top uh getting uh like I say eight uh race victories so uh so it's looking like it's uh viles to lose at the moment and then yeah of course in the amateurs uh it it yeah it could go uh either way in the amateurs but uh Stuart Robinson in a very commanding position of course Rob yeah indeed I think um evidently doesn't need to be pointed Bal has had an incredible season in the triple9 McLaren uh with uh as you said eight bace victories uh even when he's not been on the top spot he's been there all thereabout so superb Seas season from him uh it looks like yeah as you said it is it is definitely his uh Championship to be losing at this point uh the AMS however uh still ought to play for Robinson does have a nice lead uh but seems to be struggling a little bit in the practice and uhac is uh not so much so qualifying position is going to be super important obviously the am drivers will be racing amongst the pros they they they are not uh separated they do not have to yield uh they are very much in the same race the pros are currently out on their qualifying uh laps at the minutes so they will get 10 minutes and then we will see 10 minutes of qualifying for the AMS Souza with the early Pace setting of a one at 55.1 not the quickest we've seen uh so far the practice times uh have been a little bit quicker but you know one lap down Banker lapping uh it's the way to do it uh yeah up to you Sean thank you rob thank you uh yeah it's just uh going up and down the field at the moment yes Souza is currently leading the P with a 1 minute 55147 uh Grace up into Peter at the moment just two temps down on him then we got towns in the P3 uh just four temps down so these times are looking pretty close uh which is uh the halfway mark for the qualifying for the pro drivers because there is 10 minutes for the pros 10 minutes for the Amur uh so there is 4 minutes left for the pro drivers to get their lap times in and then they will go back into the pits with the amateurs out for the final 10 minutes uh we have also just seen now that Vel is up into pole position so normal service resumed uh for Vel uh he is the first driver to dip beneath the 1 minute 55s with a 1 minute 54. 767 Kobe alerts is in P3 now uh with a uh a 55.1 uh but then L up into P2 and he is 8 1,000 for the second down on Vel time so so close at the top um but yeah Gray's falling down to P6 because of D Stefano in P5 at the moment with Clark crows Townsen and Silva so far rounding up the top 10 R yeah interestingly enough boov get to set a lap as as bamin who was super quick in the practice uh yet get to set a lap they does come across spof does just cross the line and where does he put himself he puts himself pole short 15 4.7 uh boo off into the commanding position at the minute just two hundreds of a second of fours time L not too much of a shot from L he has shown some uh some absolute Pace in some of the races she hasn't attended as much as some of the other drivers but we know there's a quick driver in there so superb lap from him as we are now making our way uh towards the end of the uh Pro qualifying session obviously they get 10 minutes uh if they start a lap they will be allowed to uh finish the lap if they don't get on that lap I believe that is it for them and they have to return to the pits as the AMS can now make their way around at the 10minute mark But there still a couple of drivers yet to set a lap Bellin Harvey they are out on track so we will see a time uh unless of course they invalidate their own laps I haven't driven this one too much on acc so I'm not quite sure how punishing those track limits can be um we're looking at that exit there from the driver I'm on board with if that's not a penalty it doesn't seem that they are too harsh at all uh so we shall see but yeah 1 minute and 34 seconds remaining as Vel back in P1 Sean uh yes indeed yeah I was keeping a a close eye on Vol andov because that is the battle for the championship uh for the uh so yeah bit of a dingdong battle between Vel Vel and busov of course if busov has got any chance of uh claiming the uh Championship Victory uh he will need to finish in front of uh Vel uh and Vel will have to have an absolute stinker uh well so far Vel is leading busov by just over 1 and a half t0 of a second uh but uh we had it looks like we've got a very very competitive field out there with lore in P3 just two t0 behind Grace get goes back up into P4 uh just over 4 and a half t0 down uh with Souza back in the pits now uh in P5 we've got Kobe alerts P6 D Stefano in p7 Clark in p8 Townsen also back into the pits as well in P9 and crows rounding up the top 10 um I'm expecting I was kind of expecting Silva to be right up there to be honest uh he he's been a man on form he's claimed three victories in the last four sprint races uh finds himself outside of that top 10 big big surprise there uh and uh with well what will be his last lap we'll be hoping to uh well he'll need to to I was going to say he would need to raise another 1.4 seconds uh to to get a a great qualifying but he is back in the pits and he will start from p 11 uh so sorry Rob yeah I just going to say I think with this circuit uh you know looking at the chat earlier do regular in the chat and a regular on the F frl grid I don't think he's racing with us tonight cuz I do believe he's just got back from holiday um but yeah I do think that there's quite a few drivers that are not too familiar with circuit pory car so I don't think it's a popular amongst the drivers I do like the circuit but I haven't driven it on acc I've done plenty of laps in F1 um but I haven't driven it on acc so uh yet to uh have an opinion but I do feel like it's um it's quite I think it's a new circuit for a lot of the drivers it does seem that way uh you know I I know I said at at the beginning of the program I'm not too familiar with this circuit it it seems like um of what the idea I get is that the P Rec car circuit not very popular amongst the drivers um which kind of in a way surprises me because there is you know two very long straights and then you've got the uh uh sort of the twisty windy part of the uh circuit as well in between so I'm pretty sure that there'll be uh lots of uh overtaking opportunities uh during a lap here at Paul Ricard uh but uh yeah it does I do get that impression that they're not a big fan of this circuit though Rob yeah indeed and if you would like to Sean if you jump on board with the number 51 car of night as he starts his lap we can do a little bit of a track guide if you wish to uh yes yes of course yep uh let's go on to drive so turn one uh very a the left hander downhill uh into the second corner turn two is the right hand out as they make their way up to the chicane which is a right 90° right WRA around to the left quite a sharp rander at leor as he enters the corner there the exit is a big sweeping right hander at St Bui and then we get on to the mistr straight 1 Point 1 miles we go this obviously with this layout it is a dead straight the Formula 1 will break about halfway down the straight and do the little chicane section which we are just coming up to now imagine this definitely be uh an opportunity to overtake as they work their way into the rander at signs double rander or double Dr dubas duet double drought obviously double rander tricky corner to get right if I remember from the F1 and then we end up in bendor which is the left hander into Le pingel French been practicing my French this one's a bit easier it's called Village the right hander into Lor which is the penultimate corner and then verage Dupont the last corner of the circuit onto the home straight and we might as well stay on board cuz this will be the first qualifying lap in the am as Knight makes his way over in the number 51 Ferrari and it's a p16 for him 1.9 seconds off the pole time of a 154.50 so time starting to come in ASAC goes quicker uh indeed he does indeed he does andac is the nearest driver to Robinson for the uh for the championship of course umac will need to finish P1 for the amateurs and hope that Robinson has a bit of a stinker here at the PA recard circuit uh at the moment yes in P1 uh Robinson is 3.8 seconds off the pace I do suspect uh that he is uh just putting in a banker and then we'll be going flat out for the remaining 5 minutes of this race I got to say Rob I'm so glad that you uh uh talked us through the uh the lap guide there because uh I would have absolutely struggled on them French names I mean I can just about speak English let alone French so yeah I've been I've been practicing them all day and I still managed to get about three of them completely and utterly wrong the pro one of the other problems with Paul R Car circuit obviously because of the Rive runoff areas every corner looks the same yeah that is very very true yeah the the the blue and red lines as well don't help do they um it's uh yeah it's a very confusing circuit but you know I'm expecting these drivers to uh to to battle of course and uh and hope um that there'll be some exciting racing action um just getting on board with mve then cuz I'm expecting mve to be really quick in the amateurs uh so I think he has just about done no no I think that was either an out laap or a lap invalidated for mwg but we do know he has some incredible Pace uh the last couple of races that he's been involved in uh quite shocking uh level of pace super super quick driver is uh Max mwag so I imagine that there will be a time uh on the board uh we just uh probably just needs one more tour of the circuit and we will get that time from him 3 minutes 45 remaining in the qualifying and then obviously we will have super Sprint of 20 minutes and then the qualifying session now will set the grid for race two as well which is the 40 minute I don't quite like to call it endurance because uh it does feel like an endurance race at 40 minutes compared to the the 20 Sprint but some of the guys that the some of the races that these guys competing uh yeah for 40 minutes isn't any much of an endurance race for those no no no it's it's definitely not it's definitely not and it does fly by very very quickly uh we have got quite a close battle then between olac and Clayton there is basically uh two 100th of a second separating uh both olac and Clayton for the fight for P1 in qualifying uh and um I've seen in uh different series the taco Tuesdays uh because uh myself and Luke Taylor do host the taco Tuesday tier 2s uh and uh Clayton very very competitive driver uh although uh instead of alch it is uh it is mve uh who were um you know really uh uh you know really setting some times a light U and uh yeah that that is why I was Focus ing on mve a little bit to to hope that he can compete with the very best in the am so he may be saving his best to last R well uh yeah I've stayed on board with uh Maximillian mwg as you uh took over the the commentary there for a minute uh he was doing a reasonably good uh lap time but what the uh the issue is at the turn through signs into the double right hander on exit he keeps going extremely wide and invalidating the laps so and if the car is just not quite set up for the track uh or whether he's just still finding his feet but as he makes his way down uh the Mist trial straight it's the it's the right hander that he seems to be having a bit of difficulty so uh he's on the straight again he is first not first up the road but he is first of a pack of drivers with only one minute 25 26 25 seconds to go he's not going to get many more goes at this so he's going to have to get it right at some point or he will be starting at the back of the grid uh indeed indeed we we don't want that of course uh you know oh yeah again y yep that could be a lap inv validation there again which will mean he'll have one last opportunity to uh put a lap time in uh let's have a look at some of the other drivers behind cuz we have got Chris Knight just behind he is currently in P5 for the amateurs uh he's currently uh what is he he's 1.3 seconds down on that finds himself on pole position so doing excellent at the moment 442 as well uh oh yeah sorry that is m v isn't it so just uh focus on him uh just to see if that is a lap that is counted or not it is indeed and he's up to p re up wow yeah so the uh I say we looked like it looked like that was the corner that he was invalidating maybe it's uh you can run it obviously you can run it a little bit wide but the the lap before he was uh well out wide so yeah get a Time on the board it is a good one puts it up to P3 in class with three seconds remaining the drivers that are on a lap will get to complete uh it looks like Robinson this will be his last lap as the uh number one car and the number 500 car is indeed Clayton he will get to finish as well the number 79 of Chris Gman FR rl's own Chris Gman in the BMW but he has yellow flagged it uh up at Lor so P ultimate Corner messed up for him he returns to the pit uh it might just be worth mentioning Sean that uh Dan n be in the 242 car although he will appear on the timing sheet he's not present tonight he's uh uh he's not racing he is solely in the lobby so we can be in the lobby which is very nice of him that is very very nice of him yes indeed uh but uh yeah yeah unfortunate not to see him tonight um you know um he could have uh uh he could I think he was fighting for P5 I believe in the championship so uh Absol very well yeah absolute shame not to to have him for the last races we just see mg pull to the side so clearly not enjoying this uh track but uh is in P3 for the start of this race uh well for the start of both races should I say uh and Robinson's back in as well so we've only got three drivers left Oh I thought that but no the session is ended so yeah I thought that say that was it looked like the drivers were pulling off track Knight made his way to the side of the track as well so that is your grid for this evening's races indeed indeed um once we still got the time then uh I have to say uh hello to all the uh people coming in chat uh dazza Kai Felipe uh clat as well uh really appreciate the compliment there and uh uh you know appreciate everyone coming in of course Felipe of course you've got Dan isn't it djm sport welcome all hopefully you're having a good weekend unknown on that one uh very possibly I've see Paul trumman very uh driver of 246 Lamborghini P9 for him this evening if it is him but uh I shall let you get down the grid order uh yes I will thank you rob uh so yes qualifying on Pole Position then we've got ret Vel he hits a 1 minute 54.5 72 which is one10 quicker than D Stefano in P2 in that Ferrari uh and he is sandwich in between uh Vel and busov of course in P3 uh who is a further one1 down uh in P3 with LW in P4 um very very close times there with Bellin getting a top five with Clark in P6 Grace in p7 Souza in p8 uh Kobe alerts in P9 uhac overall in P10 but of course he will be uh on pole position for the amateurs uh with that 1 minute 55.2 35 with Clayton just behind him in P2 and mve securing that top three in the amateurs uh with Knight in P4 discards in P5 Rogers in P6 Robinson in p7 that's actually quite disappointing for the championship leader at the moment uh so he'll want to rise up uh the tables um throughout the race through the position should I say uh clack in p8 and cabau P9 Gman in P10 um and then just going through the field yeah we got towns in uh quite disappointing for him p12 three uh sorry crows p13 fredman in p14 silver as well um you know after winning three of the last four races uh quite disappointing for him in p15 uh and then we've got mx in p16 uh we got uh tropman in p19 discards in the top 20 uh and where are we uh oh yeah Harvey in p23 and then Town's end uh p27 and of course nbit who couldn't make it today so um so that is the order of uh what will be race one and race two back just got just got some confirmation in the chat Troy is indeed uh in in the race and also Clay is Josh Clayton so we've got one of the pros and one of the AMS in the chat which is uh I must admit it's it's lovely to see that the drivers do get involved with the broadcast as well as uh the action down on track uh so thank you for stopping by thank you for uh tuning in dropping some comments muchly appreciated uh yeah yeah I second that and obviously yeah good luck to to both of you in the race as well uh we will try to give you as much uh screen time as uh possible um but of course yeah we will uh try not to miss any action throughout this race uh it's going to be a very exciting last round here at the Port Ricard circuit and uh yeah as as we mentioned earlier on in the program Rob we get to find out who wins in the pros and the amateur drivers as well so very exciting stuff yeah still all to play for definitely certainly all to play for in the uh the am category with alch on at P1 in the 82 McLaren and uh Championship leader of the AMS back down in 22 so not found his feet just yet was a little bit off the pace uh in the practice session but we know he's a very good driver and he doesn't need to win it Chan he just needs to get a good handful of points uh and he will be crowned champion of the AMS uh Vel P1 for him uh seems to be a regular occurrence uh that we uh we get to say uh Vel is on Pole Position Pole Position said that rather strangely uh thefo uh P2 there uh very good result for him in the qualifying boof P3 he'll be super happy with that cuz who off not out the question yet Sean uh no he's not no he's not but you know realistically he will need to get two race wins today and uh you know we we never uh want to jinx any drivers or anything like that but he'll want a big Jinx on Vel uh to uh to either not finish the race or finish outside of the top 10 um as we uh mentioned in qualifying uh Vel is not finished outside of the top three three unless he had a DN F which only happened in one of the rounds of of the eight of course so every other uh race uh that he's been involved in he has finished P3 or better uh so you never know rob you never know what can happen uh but uh yeah drivers are just uh well Vel is just leading the cars now for this formation lap um uh the track is looking uh fantastic as well in terms of the track temperature 36° uh a pretty hot but um but nevertheless pretty optimal conditions still uh not a hint of uh rain uh in the or dark clouds in the sky so so yeah perfect conditions for the drivers and they'll just have to manage their tires a little bit and make sure they've got enough fuel to last them the whole race and believe me Rob um you know the amount of times I've seen in this Championship where uh a driver as slightly under fueled and uh you know in a good position as well um this time around they'll have to make sure that they've uh uh put in enough fuel to last them the whole race yes certainly will and uh not to put spanner in the works but uh the Thursday broadcast with myself and uh Mr George cook uh I managed to uh curse about three or four drivers that evening so uh you definitely not uh that everything's still everything's still to play for I shall try my best not to do the commentator's curse on any of the drivers this evening um but yeah I can't promise anything on that front J well you know I'm want to talkk Rob because uh uh I mean how many times have I uh been singing a driver's praises and then next corner is into a wall or into some sort of collision so uh yeah it is uh we are famous for cursing the drivers so uh so yeah busov will be praying that we uh Focus all our attentions on Vel and uh and and hope that uh uh yeah he slips down a few positions but uh uh yeah it's going definitely going to be a very very exciting race tonight really really looking forward to this and uh as as we're alluded to at the start of the broadcast uh I'm going to be really sad actually uh that um you know we're not going to see this series uh again well at least until maybe the next round but uh the next series but uh um but it's been an awesome uh season and um yeah it's gone by so quickly as well yeah it's been a absolutely fabulous season uh really enjoyed spending the Sunday evening with you and the guys in chat and watching some excellent racing um yeah it's it's a shame itome to this round the final round of season 10 uh although yeah got very very quickly indeed that uh that straight looks very very long when uh when the drivers are just uh cruising down um rather than going full speed but Vel leading pack around uh the last couple of Corners now through leing lingel into Village they go last couple of Corners to go and then we will get the green flag 20 minute race foot to the floor it is a Sprint race don't need to be too concerned about Tire de on this one it's uh very much let's go as fast as we can for as long as we can and try and keep it on the gray stuff in the middle just a note um Sean yep uh the the yellow and the red uh area in the runoff uh it is very highly abrasive so any off track excursions can I believe can and will start to damage the carcass uh of the tire oh okay that's interesting now I didn't know that as uh the drivers just coming around the final turn as we uh go to start the grand finale here at the circuit of Paul Ricard can the drivers get a good start as we wait the green lights and away they go and I don't expect there to be too many moves of sh but there is going to be a bit of a break for turn one but Vel does lead the Stefano boov is just behind him in P3 then we've got L and bamin side by side at the moment looks like bamin my oh have I just missed something there Rob oh yeah in the background I see in the background oh this is huge for the championship as well got a little bit loose coming outside uh coming out of turn two got it all gathered but then a car from nowhere I'm unsure of who it was a car from nowhere has just absolutely wiped him out andac is back to the pits before turn three ah devastating okay I did see that Chris Gman was involved in that uh I couldn't uh quite see uh who else was but yeah there was about was it three three cars involved was it Rob um yeah yeah so I say all got just got a little bit loose but gathered the car up uh obviously got a little bit of a loss of exit speed but he had gathered the car up he was in a good position on track and then a car from nowhere uh just absolutely steamed into him off it was off track as well Sean so I have no idea what has happened there um but yeah out potentially out of this race with Robinson still in the race current P1 that might be his CH I think he's actually left no he hasn't I was going to say I think he's actually left the server um clack back in the pits as well for the am I don't know if he was yes he was one of the drivers involved uh and mck's also back in the stop as he's uh bergantin so yeah I'm not sure what happened there one for the stewards I'm afraid Sean uh yes indeed I'm glad that I'm not stward that is for sure uh what I will have to tell you though Rob is that V Vel is leading at the moment with busov just behind in pus he's moved up into P2 Bellin is up into P3 that means that the Stefano has lost out and has lost two positions down into P4 LW is also down into P5 uh and then we've got Clark and we've got quite a few drivers that has made Moves I think soua is up into p7 now uh and also Silva as as well I think he started in p 11 I believe isn't it so he's up two positions to P9 and Clon the uh first place amateur 10th overall as well so uh really great start from clayon uh but I do feel like uh well there's quite a few battles uh on board at the moment as we're going down the straet uh we got bamin that's in the slipstream of busov uh who is in P at the moment uh and uh the the slipstream should work down the stre because he's such a long straight of course uh so definitely a close battle for the top three but of course very important for bu to make it work in uh well in both races but but certainly uh you know live live in the moment uh busov is going to have to push like hell and try to catch up with Vel but he has got bamin for company and of course more contact at the back of the grid Sean sorry to sorry yes all right CAU in the the uh number 84 BMW has just uh tapped the rear end of Rogers uh both cars back on the track minimal damage but yet another another collision at the back there well meanwhile Rob we have got uh a train of four cars at the moment battling for P6 then that is between Clark soua Grace and Silva then um you know big train of cars who are on this second straight going in oh my God nearly Silva nearly into the back of Grace there just about got on the breaks in time um I I did fear there was going to be a bit of a collision but it's going to be very interesting once they get to the back straight that very long uh was it 1.1 km was it Rob uh 1.1 mil M St straight right it's right okay so yeah very very long straight I believe probably the longest straight on the calendar uh so there could be a few moves being made also as well bamin still in the hunt for um P2 or even better he he's currently 210 behind busov and closing all the time as we approach uh the the fast right-hander is he going to close in time probably not quite but he is going to put big pressure on boo of who is trying to apply that oh trying to apply that pressure he goes a little bit wide and bamin up into P2 as a as a result and busov is going to have to come fighting back but yeah Bellin um making the most of that opportunity uh moves up into P2 and maybe he can apply some pressure to busov then who is just 410s in front of him yeah just keeping uh just keeping an eye on the am battles that are going on obviously super close in that category as well Robinson now in P4 he's the current championship leader that will do for now if he can remain just in that position he will uh should get enough points to get it done Clayton having a phenomenal race so far obviously we haven't seen Clayton on the Sunday series thus far so this debut race mwag is doing what mwag does uh he's got settled in setting in some uh excellent lap time so far P2 currently for him luig scarz in the 205 BMW P4 for him so far uh and yeah all very tight we've got a couple of battles going on as somebody just exiting the pits there I think the number 41 that is monix I think he's I don't if he should just come out the pit where he's uh just had an off there for the pro drivers but um yeah super it's very close very close and uh it's still or to play for uh indeed Rob and yeah I was kind of focusing on the race lead did try to scour through through the grid of course but busov has retaken that pizza away from Bellin look how close they are as they go up the straight Bellin all over the back of busov and busov drawing alongside Vel as well so a I mean when I say a three-way battle for the lead I really mean it and boov's going to run a little bit wide and Bin's going to try up the inside of forel doesn't quite make that work however he will move into P2 ahead of boo of d d Stefano in the Ferrari there also part of the oh my God very very close I thought Benin was going to go into the back of forel there but yeah D Stefano has joined the party with Craig Gore as well so a five-way battle for the lead here uh and of course um yeah volel withstanding the pressure at the moment but there is four other drivers buying for the race lead as D Stefano comes out the final Corner a little bit wide D's going to lose him a little bit of time maybe lore can pounce on him uh before we get into the next turn uh but uh this is uh really really exciting here Rob yeah super close battle up front just what we want to see on the season finale uh bit of a side by side wheel tohe action as long as we can keep it cleaning on the track it's exactly what we want to see as l Pops in the fastest lap of the race at the moment currently set in P5 but very much in touch with this group uh in front he got a couple of seconds three seconds to the good over clark in P6 but uh yeah L must be rubbing his hands right now cuz uh the battle is heating up at the top uh indeed it is Rob indeed it is yeah barely a second covering Vel and boo of in P3 the the Stefano if I can say his name right um you know dro in back a little bit from busov and L who is a little bit behind as well but if the top three keep battling uh they'll be drawn into this fight of course so uh just going down the long straight bamin very very close to the back of Vel is not going to go for the move at the moment though uh he's going to B his time boov also patiently waiting behind him as well as b h sorry not yeah sorry bamin a little bit of contact between him and V tried to send one on the inside and it's good sportsmanship actually cuz he did pull out of it U but bamin looking very very competitive at this stage Vel is just uh uh defending for his life to be honest uh but yeah of course busov just behind and as I mentioned earlier uh we have also got the Stefano battling away as busov went a little bit deep on the brace they're going to be side by side as we come around the final Corner boo of just about the ends that P3 away from D Stefano but he's going to be under immense pressure now as we go across the St Finish Line to start lap six and um also L uh also in tow uh in this battle so uh you know one mistake Rob and uh drivers looking to uh take advantage um as we approach uh halfway into race one already Rob yeah halfway through the race done and uh yeah boo was very lucky to have the inside in vage depont there in the last uh Corner because uh Stefano had got a much better run uh obviously tried the inside in the previous corner almost got the move done but then that did force him to the outside giv him booze of the inside to the last corner and a good exit from him kept him in uh P3 for now but uh yeah the 10 minutes to go 9 and 1 half minutes to go this race is certainly not over and these front five have cleared off and they are having an immense battle uh at the top there unbelievable stuff indeed Rob indeed this is what we wanted to say this is uh this is why the punters pay the big bucks of course and uh yes this is absolutely fantastic to see uh in the first of the TW uh of the sprint races which is the 20-minute race of course um and uh yeah this is this looks like it's going to go right to the wire Rob yeah this one's going to go to the last lap of the race for sure law now just 410 probably less than that uh behind uh theano in P4 um all very close Vel opening up a little bit of a gap not too much balamin keeping very much in touch as they make their way around the uh last Corner once again five laps completed on to the sixth lap they go 8 minutes and 25 seconds remain of this race the o uh dropped back a little bit this time round a little bit of clear air for buzov to get his head down get back into a rhythm close up the Gap to bamin and go again the problem when you get into battles like this Shan you've got to pick that sweet spot of do I attack or do I offend because if the uh or defend because if the attack not offend that's not an option you do that as well I mean you could do that if you wish um yeah it's picking that fine balance of uh do I attack the driver in front AO defend the driver behind and getting it right isn't always easy often a failed attack will lead to uh a loss of one even two places at times as uh boof definitely cut the corner a little bit down I don't know if he's going to pick up a a track limits warning obviously you can only have three on uh ACC before the uh shards will start slapping some penalties down and in a 20-minute race you certainly do not want to be picking up track limit penalties because I believe uh Ed is a driveth through penalty it may well be and mean uh meantime Rob LW goes up the inside of Stefano used that slipstream to his advantage and before they got into the turn LW moves up into P4 ahead of D Stefano in P5 so L uh looking pretty competitive now and he is looking to chase down busov who currently is in a P3 and of course as you know Rob uh very very important for busov to fight it out with Vel and finish in front of him at the moment is not looking likely as he's dropped back to 1.2 seconds uh oh sorry 1.7 seconds behind Vel uh and uh yeah he's got two very hungry drivers behind him in La D Stefano wanting that P3 just as we talking about uh oh and and um that is Clark that spins and there was a little bit of content as well there was a battle for P6 between soua grace uh Crow and Clark I believe it might actually be less but uh uh but yeah um Clark gets spun around or he spun around I'm not 100% sure but Clark has moved down into p12 so unlucky for Michael Clark then yeah uh very close battling up and down um yes such a shame that he's got turned around he's still there at the moment he he has lost a bit of time over that but um yeah it's it's one of them very difficult to call didn't see the uh the in in fall but you never like to see a car turned around on track um we' also got some uh uh Rogers STW Rogers yeah yeah uh server disconnect for him he was in P20 oh that's ah that's not uh not what you want to hear sorry about that very very unfortunate uh St Rogers well hopefully you'll be be able to get back into race two of course and uh you know make up some positions in that race but yeah of course very unfortunate and something we don't like to see um you know sometimes these issues do occur uh especially on the PS5 but uh but yeah really really sorry to hear of course um we have got Vel um there is a battle for P1 and uh busov has actually moved down to P5 so Something's Happened uh between busov law and Stefano cuz uh law is now in up into P3 with d Stefano in P4 boof down to P5 and then meanwhile we've got bamin all over the back of Vel fighting for the race lead we have got 4 and a half minutes left of a race one so uh the fight for the lead definitely going to the wire but this is really bad news for Bo of Rob yeah this is not what he wants he he really does need toh pick up as many points as he can we tell obviously leading the race leading the championship uh the battle between the uh the AMS as well is starting to hot up a little bit Clayton still in the lead but Max mwag has uh gained a couple of positions few pro drivers now out the way he is uh really starting to put his foot down and Chase Clayton down but Lou dartz as well still there few F few seconds back but a P3 will do him wonders for his uh am uh race especially with alac out the way I think Lou is currently P4 in the standings uhac won't be getting any points although interestedly Sean I did see alac out the pits uh doing what looked like a couple of installation installation laps so maybe he's just fiddling tweaking with the uh the setup a little bit ready for race two uh yeah maybe and uh I've just seen the message that had a stop Ando penalty yeah he he he came out on track and uh yeah he was just I think he was just deliberately cutting Corners to stay out the way of the racing right okay well that that's really hurts his uh his championship of course though isn't it uh of course is the uh closest rival to Robinson uh Robinson uh might have wanted to uh finish a bit further up the field for the amateurs uh mve drive- through penalty yeah just spotted that on the uh the board there so maximilan mwag currently P2 in the race uh can't remember off the top of my head where he sits in the standings he's not in for a championship but he has got a number of race wins uh under his name the am so big Point still um but yeah picks up a drive-through penalty so obviously a couple one too many off track excursions which means now Clayton uh oh he's at a break hard there uh car just in front of him I'm not sure who that is uh the car number 500 yeah not sure who that is but um yeah big onto the brakes uh did Clayton have to go to avoid a contact with a BMW that was traveling uh rather slow to that last sector yeah that that that would have been Townsen then in the uh BMW 420 car then yes it is indeed yeah and uh yeah Clayton also moving in front of Mor of course he does need to uh uh serve that driveth through penalty of course before the end of the race otherwise that'll be a hefty penalty for him yeah he doubles double or do it go straight to a 30 second uh I think it goes straight to a 302 I believe I think they lose roughly about 20 seconds if they take their drive through penalty uh but um yeah uh costly evil way for mve H and uh yeah at the top Rob still half a second between Vel and bamin then uh so uh I I was right in saying that it's going right to the wire um busov however yes still in5 he is two temps behind the Stefano who has lost ground to lore uh L is currently uh sort of Sandwich between bamin and the Stefano 2.4 seconds from bamin and 2.2 seconds ahead of the Stefano Silva oh Silva I think is isn't that him going wide that is the McLaren driver isn't it and that is Grace that is just in front of him however still very close and in toe of uh Grace uh as we uh well it's the last lap of the race now so um yeah the lead is just coming across the line then uh to start the final lap of the race so definitely a fight for p7 going on here uh and anything can happen between them two drivers uh but of course the same go goes with Vel and bamin but b u sorry Vel has been looking great all Races been leading pretty much from lap one of course uh so uh yeah this this is looking really really good for his championship hopes uh with only bamin standing in his way now so um we'll keep an eye on that one but if there is any other battles that we should be looking at uh Rob please uh uh please let me know uh can't see anything uh Too Close just yet other than the uh the one that we are looking at or the one that I am looking at at the front uh the the uh Vel still in front bamin uh few T of a second back half a second back uh L still the fastest guy on track but bamin is not giving this up he's pushing every corner to uh get back in touch with Vel he wants this race win don't think he's going to have enough time to get there but he has raced incredibly well this race and he has pushed Vel right the way to the end and uh not many drivers can say that this season no no exactly well we we knew that bamin had the pace because uh in the early rounds of course he got a race win didn't he and uh um you know he was uh sort of provisionally leading the championship but yes Vel of course has uh been fantastic throughout the season and Hotel will win race one of the uh super super sprint series here at circuit Paul Ricard round eight that is of course I forgot what round that was then uh with Benin in P2 and lore getting a Podium P3 for him D Stefano P4 busov uh P5 for him and quite disappointing for him Souza up into P6 with Grace p7 Silva gets p8 then with crows P9 Kobe alerts rounds up the top 10 and and then yeah we got fredman and Townsen and Clayton uh comes over the line for first position for the amateurs uh M Vegas is second place but he's got a 302 penalty so I wonder if that will change very very shortly uh we have got discards uh at the moment P3 with vessels P4 and Robinson P5 for the amateurs Rob yeah unbelievable stuff moreg opting not to box on the last lap of the race and uh did cross the line with that drive-thru penalty unserved so he will pick up 30 seconds on his race time which will uh uh knock him quite far back down the grid uh as we see Chris Gman frl own Chris Gman in the 79 BMW he makes his way towards the line now to take home uh on six I believe sixth in the MS you have to confirm that for me after uh CAU crossing the line P22 p7 in class and then we have Clark who is already in the pits so that is it race one 20 minutes done your race Victor forel bamin and LW in P3 and for the AMS we have Clayton uh I'm going to predict that Louie dartz will take the P2 spot and potentially Wessel will take the P three spot as mwg serves his 32nd penalty uh yeah I'm quite surprised it's not updated but I would imagine yeah discards would be P2 vessels would be P3 uh I think Robinson will be P4 and then I think it's m v in P5 with Gman in P6 I think that's how it works out isn't it yeah um so yeah I'm sure that will be confirmed uh very shortly but I'm pretty sure just working out the uh the timings there I'm pretty sure that is the case uh yes so uh cabau will be then P uh7 Rogers p8 olac P9 Knights P10 and Clack in the P1 and then just to confirm Vel um who gets uh the victory in race one here at the Paul Ricard circuit uh Bellin gets P2 P3 for l d Stefano with P4 with busov getting a top five which is not quite good enough unfortunately for him uh with souu and P6 Grace uh yeah Grace p7 silver in p8 Crow P9 and uh uh yeah that's it that's all I can say yeah race one all in the bag then that one is history and we will move on to the final race of the evening and unfortunately uh Sean the final race of the season the pure Sim gear Super Sprint season 10 we have brought 1 2 3 4 4 5 6 7 eight fantastic rounds we started off in Monza uh trip up the road to Ima then over to the UK for Brans hatch flight abroad over to the Circuit of the Americas back to the UK for Donnington Park obviously a very sustainable race flight that one Valencia then Zelda and here we are at Paul RAR in France for the final race of the Season yes inde lead Rob yes it's it's been an absolute fantastic series I have to say and it's bought uh lots of different conditions as well um of course um with the UK famous for our uh you know rubbish weather let's be honest um uh we we had an absolute downpour there and there you know was all sorts of chaos uh in that race and uh I I think the same happened at Donington I'm not sure if I'm getting mixed up with the different uh uh leagues or not because of course I host the TECO Tuesdays as well um one of the races had rain I think they might have got away of it for the super sprint series but uh yeah we've been uh literally everywhere around the globe and it's it's just brought some absolute spectacular races and uh and the same promises to be for race two here at Paul rard of course 40 minutes here and uh yeah we we want more of the same from the first race Rob oh we love exactly the same dazzer in chat they decent race one absolutely phenomenal race in uh race one action up and down the grid I've just had a uh message Ping On The Discord uh from uh a good friend of mine he's in the chat as well phip asking if anybody can get involved in these frl races and indeed you can you just need to uh jump into the frl Discord Y and uh I believe how race uh race two goes uh yes yes um I mean if it's anything like the first race then we're in store for something pretty special I have to say uh uh don't you agree Rob I hope so if anything if race one is anything to go by uh I think that will definitely be the case Philipe if you are still around uh I have sent you a uh an invite to join the uh Formula racing League Discord so get yourself in there and um yeah hopefully maybe get to commentate on uh you racing one of the days that would be cool wouldn't it that would that would be absolutely awesome I just reading what will just said there as well he said 40 minutes will absolutely kill the tires um yeah it is very hot out there although the track temperature has come down slightly from race one it was 35° it is now down to 33 degrees but that is still piping hot of course isn't it Rob yeah it's a pretty warm track it's not the hottest we've seen through the series no that's true I think was it Valencia that it was like up into the 50s or something it's Absol abute driving on lava for that race I believe it was Valencia there was a super hot one yeah I think I think it was Valencia uh kot was another one as well wasn't it that was really high but not quite as high as Valencia uh I think it was uh in the 40s I believe but you know uh yeah the drivers have certainly been put through uh the extremes of racing conditions from the uh the absolute melting track at uh Valencia and then the uh the R Soden track at Brands where it absolutely hammered down for the entirety of the race yeah yeah yeah and that that of course cause a lot of drama in the race and uh and a few surprises as well and uh actually I do remember uh I'm pretty sure it was Luke princess wasn't it that uh uh actually uh I believe he didn't qualify for the race and you know I've always said about these drivers that you know going for the last to First challenge where he was actually pretty close to doing that um yeah Apprentice was absolutely flying in the uh the wet weather at uh BRS fully confident in his car fully uh confidence in the setup uh and he was absolutely flying and then and I do believe we found out later that he was doing it on a pad I know uh unbelievable alien technology I think Rob uh you know I can't even do that on a will you know and I've Got a Good Will at that as well so uh you know that is why I'm commentator and not out there on circuit R yeah I'm certainly not fast enough to mix it up with these boys yeah still about two or three um even more in some cases up the pace I know you're significantly quicker than I am as well uh on acc but uh it it is a game where you uh you really really need to understand uh the setup of the car the stock setups uh won't give you lap blistering times that's for sure um but yeah these drivers are are some of the some of the best that uh I've certainly had the pleasure of watching on track um some incredible racing up and down the grid yes Vel sorry mate yeah I was just going to say Vel just leading the pack around down the mistro state straight for the second time this evening and we are about to start the 40 minute race number two uh we've already had will in chat saying that the tire are not going to make it so this could get quite interesting towards the end of this race well you know I've always thought that Will was the king at uh um at saving his tires so if he's saying that then this this yeah the the drivers will have absolutely no chance and we'll see a lot of drama towards the back end of this race which uh I say Bring It On BR yeah absolutely Bring It On obviously welcome back toac a disastrous race uh back on pole for the MS he will definitely want a better race this time round again I I'm I'm really not sure what was occurring in that race one but he did Absolut no fault of his own absolutely got wiped out of the race in race one uh forced to retire the car but back on P1 Clayton P2 Knight in P3 and maximilan mwag in P4 for the AMS uh and it's still very close I don't think mathematically I haven't checked and obviously all the results that we get are provisional yeah um obviously the uh the finalized results will come later um yeah I don't think just doing a bit of MTH at the top of my head with the current standings I still think it's uh there's a race to be had uh yes yes well I mean I think um the pros at least Vel well he he is in a commanding position he would have ear an extra uh 10 points to believe from uh from bosov uh and Silva got p8 wasn't it so uh yeah I mean I would say I would say Vel would have to have a really bad race and busov to get the race win for anything to happen um and then yeah for the amateurs yeah maybe looking a little bit closer but still uh Robinson with um you know a very commanding lead so uh drivers are just coming around the final Corner then so we got Vel and Stefano on Row one with boo of law on row two and Bellman and Grace on Row three uh as we await the lights to start the final race of season 10 of the frl pure Sim gear super sprint series and V get a amazing start ahead of boov busov actually goes up the inside of D stano but D Stefano will hang around around the outside that be the inside line there's contact there is big contact big contact between the the Stefan and bu off there's a lot of cars getting tled up in the background as well and oh my God what an absolute mess in uh well what is the few first few seconds of race two here and uh unfortunately I'm not able to uh to say exactly who it is until we get a bit further into the race but it does then look like that Vel has escaped it all and um well yeah oh absolute disaster there sha crows out fredman out Silva out uh who else n bit out and uh The Biggest Loser of all of those is obviously oh hang on oh oh sorry my uh my leaderboard was all sorts of messed up messed up there we just just waiting for it to uh to update but boov is 100% out um ABS car got absolutely clattered there it did look like I'm not going to say this is exactly what happened I should leave it to the Stewarts uh stewards to decide but it looked like boof got the run on the outside and then got a tiny tap on the rear right quarter of his car which sent his car around and then obviously the uh the the the pack that just drove into an absolute train wreck of a car so it's looking like boov out K alerts out crows out silver out mik's out and oh no NB isn't racing unfortunately he's just here so we can be here yes indeed indeed yeah absolute disaster for the drives you just mentioned there and uh in particular boov as well that is it for his championship um and uh a very sorry end to his championship as well um we we never want to see something like that but yeah unfortunately that has happened to busov and Vel now um with well he can just Cruise now can he uh we got Grace in P2 suan went very deep into the corner as well and uh um I mean he missed his breaking Zone there and luckily that this is quite a wide circuit and uh wasn't in the path of Grace but uh yeah could have been a lot worse uh bamin uh is in P4 as well and he is just in front of Clayton Clayton who is uh of course in the amateurs uh of of course winning for the amateurs but finds himself fifth overall unbelievable with knights in P2 for the amateures but sixth overall and discards also uh third in the amateurs and just behind night actually uh seventh overall so you can see there's been a lot of movers and shakers uh you know at the start of this race two here because of uh the pandemonium of uh of the collisions that we saw a minute or two ago so uh yeah it's really throwing this race on its head Rob yeah I was just looking uh looking there alac did seem to get through all of that uh the early uh uh Collision in on the first lap uh on the exit of turn two but for some reason sha he has found himself now back in P4 which is p 6 over over all for the AMS Robinson just a few places back as well so I'm not sure what happened to Al there he was on pole uh he did look like he looked like he got through the majority of that uh first incident which is incredibly somehow managed to wipe nearly eight drivers out of this race I saw LW back in the pit as well uh he is now back on track uh uh Stefano uh also right back now in p7 having uh started F much further up the grid uh looks like clack is back there also yeah one two three four five no alerts has come back out again eight drivers tied up in that Collision uh Shan and absolute disaster for the uh not not what we want to see but having said that Vel leads Grace in P2 Souza right behind in P3 El in few seconds back as Grace tries to pick up a slipstream down the straight super fast that Ferrari over the uh top speed of the McLaren does have the slipstream probably won't be able to launch any sort of move just yet uh clayon however top of the AMS at the minute P1 Knight just behind and Louie scarz in P3 he'll be uh he'll be rubbing his hands uh indeed indeed indeed he will because bamin has gone backwards hasn't he uh so bamin am I am I correct in saying this uh bamin is currently sat in P4 P5 I think uh I think you're right I think Clayton might be through uh not sure what's happening is that a marker I thought Clayton's gone further no may maybe you're right maybe you're right I'm just trying to figure out that is that mve that might be mve that's between I think bamin just got in front of him uh mve yeah that's mve ah okay so mve uh he must have lost out massively at the beginning then cuz he finds himself in P22 a lap down already indeed yeah indeed uh which is a lot considering we've only done what 6 and a half minutes uh of this race so uh so yeah not a good start for mve then um and and quite clearly quite a few gaps in the field as well there are a few close battles though uh I will say that oh is that Rogers up the inside of towns and I do believe that is uh of course they're not battling really for position because towns end is in the Pro category but uh maybe you could call it bragging rights Rogers up to 10th overall Townsen is defending from Harvey though that is for position and Harvey goes up the inside as town in goes a little bit wide out the exit that does also mean that went up the inside of Town's end as well so again for bragging right sake uhac moves up to 12 overall so not a good couple of corners for da a towns end uh but a long way of the race to go though yeah say already just uh 7 minutes into this race uh vort leading being the way now pulling quite a gap over Grace uh Souza still P3 balamin P4 but oh I thought he was going to take a yeah small little bit of contact there between bellamine and the rear quarter of soua uh kept it on track both drivers keep it on track and away they go again but yeah he looked like he was going to he was going to send one up the inside there Sean yeah he L he looked particular particularly racy should I say uh good sportsmanship though I mean there was only the tiniest of contact however uh where the contact was on the sort of rear side panel of that car nearly spun Suza around and it was a good car control from soua to to keep it uh facing forwards uh but then bamin did back off there but uh yeah it looks like bamin really has the pace here because he has closed back up to the gearbox of soua uh for the fight for P3 so uh uh yeah we would expect some kind of move as we are approaching that long straight of course so if bamin can get all over the back of soua onto the straight which I think they're just approaching now aren't they then I think that's right yeah bamin will uh use that slipstream to his advantage and you should expect uh a um changeing position yeah the Ferrar does look uh pretty racy on the straight as well with a good exit and a slipstream uh couple of moves earlier on in the race between a different uh different drivers uh there's definitely closing that Gap now I don't think it's close enough this time round for a move just yet um but 3/10 of a second behind soua uh at the moment and uh with uh just coming up to the 10 minute Mark done still uh three quarters of this race to go this one again I think this one's going to go to the end as he look oh little bit wide from Su gets a little bit loose uh pushes the car out wide and bamin kept it nice and tight yeah and it seems like through uh these success succession of Corners it seems like Bellin seems to have a little bit more than Souza Souza seems like he's uh taking a little bit cautious and bamin is able to sort of apply the brakes a little bit later but still keep you know a decent line going into the corners as he's uh look at that Gap he's all over the back of uh Susan now but it does seem like that McLaren just seems to be a little bit better in a straight line and uh sou is able to sort of pull away slightly but yeah that Ferrari of bamin definitely seems to be a lot better through the corners and and certainly on the braks yeah 100% don't couldn't disagree at all the uh the lateral grip of the Ferrari seems to be um massively uh better uh better than the McLaren at the minute sou seems to in a real tough time uh of keeping that car uh where they want that car and uh drifting out void quite often on exit of a lot of the corners whereas bamin bamin Ferrari looks pretty planty gets a good exit down uh the the straight looks like it's closing not sure it's hard it's really hard to tell with the live data we only get the live data update over the sector times but doesn't seem to be closing enough uh where it needs to be just saw a yellow flag flag there the 385 which is the uh the AMG of uh wesels in the back there so a little bit of a turnaround of the car in turn one maybe but gets it back uh on track uh meanwhile we've got Harvey who did get overtaken byac is trying to re overtake olac uh to move back into p 11 uh looks like he's just made it stick as we approached the fast right hander and actually behind as well that was D Stefano on towns end as well so uh the stf of course was caught up in that melee at the start of the race is starting to work his way back up the grid uh and now finds himself in p13 so uh not all All Is Lost for theano uh and certainly looking competitive enough to you know try to uh regb that top 10 position uh as we see bit of a battle now between trotman and beron for the fight for p8 looks like there's about half a second between them in fact it's 9/10 of a second uh but even so close battles there and also close battles for the lead for the amateurs between clayon and knights uh it's currently about 6/10 of a second uh and uh looking uh well yeah as as we uh we're we're what a quarter of the way through race two uh yeah some exciting battles on track Rob yeah there's a couple up and down the definitely up and down the uh the grid um this one at the front now I would say would be P2 and P4 obviously Clayton in the AMS being chased by night as well so just a few T of a second back probably about a second back so that one isn't done either Lou discar a little bit further back for him uh may be struggling to keep up with the pace of Knight and Clayton but he's still there uh for a little bit further back as well we've got Harvey piling on the pressure uh with Rogers Harvey being a Pro driver Rogers Uh current leader no sorry uh my mistake uh in the AM category the 512 Porsche uh but in the MS as well Omak working his way A couple of grid spots up making some uh lost time I guess for that uh earlier start which um it must be devastated to uh to to to start the final race uh in that way uh but yeah just un completely unavoidable in that turn one turn two incident uh indeed indeed uh yeah I was just uh looking at a few of the battles here oh my God there's Harvey got very close to the back of Rogers who is leading this uh train of cars here or four cars uh for the Battle of P10s we got Rogers Harvey olac and stfo and of course D Stefano we know has got the pace uh but it's going to be very difficult to uh to navigate his way through the field as Rogers goes a little bit wide out of the final turn that means that uh Harvey uh will have a good run on him as we come across the start Finish Line to start lap eight and don't know if he's going to send it or not oh he thought about it and oh nearly contact as well and because he had to come off uh the accelerator and get on the brakes olac uh looked to take the position from hary uh they were briefly side by side it could be oh my God olac sends it on the inside and uh Rogers sorry Harvey was aware of that had to back off uh the Stefano nearly went into the side of Harvey also had to back out but uh yeah uh very very close proximity between the four drivers and it for for a second there rob it looked like it was going to get a little bit messy uh but they live to fight another day as we go down the uh big long straight and it looks like the Stefano is going to pull in front of hary then SE as you've been keeping on uh keeping on that battle and rightfully so but we do have a change up at the front uh soua now up to P2 Grace Falls one spot back and bellamine still on the charge uh to the uh cars all in front and around but yet there's a lot of oh oh that was close to uh a bit of contact there into the last corner but yeah changes up front Sean uh yes I see I see yes Su up into P2 uh Benin up into P3 and then Grace down into P4 so losing a couple of positions there I was also looking on board with d stano and he did make it stick in the end you can see how battered that Ferrari is of the Stefanos is and he's all over the back ofac and Rogers trying to work his way up into the top 10 but yes definitely for sure the battle for top three is definitely on and Bellin all over the back of soua now and as they do approach the final corner for the big long straight I think Bellman will fancy this chances of making the move yeah he got a good exit there the power the McLaren doesn't half pull down the straight but well in the slip stream now is bellamine in the number two Ferrari it's just hard to see where the Gap is closing enough I don't think it is and I think bamin will stay there for now starting to run out of straight will he get pop one up the inside as a look oh yeah he thought about it oh nearly contact nearly cont and they both run wide as well and that could have ended in disaster and I'll be honest with you robt don't know how they didn't make contact there uh but yeah they definitely live to fight another day and uh I I I feel that Bellin is not done here um he he definitely is eyeing that P2 away from Souza so uh yeah definitely going to keep an eye on this little battle here Rob yeah once to watch He's not going to give that up of L uh good race in uh race one oh he's got there he goes up the inside into the last corner there is a little bit of contact there but it uh seems all fair does look like he's regressed the position a little bit there uh I did feel like he was in front uh before but yet position given back so it's game on once again for bamin and Souza still in P2 for now uh indeed indeed and uh I mean it's it's really good to see isn't it Rob uh the the fair play between the drive was even if you could say that he he had a nose in front of soua he felt that at the time it was his fault it was him that uh put the fal send on Souza backs out and uh yeah like I say it it's it's really great to see it's what you want to see with Sim racing obviously uh I mean up to my level Sean there's a lot more contact than there is in these uh races but um if you do know that you've uh you've made a littleit mistake and it is a gen mistake uh you know just give the position back and crack on with the race and then it is good to see and I do I do think that's exactly what's happened there with baming um so fair play uh and the race goes on there's still 21 minutes and 30 seconds Race So plenty of battling to do and there's plenty of racing to do uh indeed Rob indeed uh I just got to say uh big thank you to mzy for the follow as well welcome to the frl community as we just see sou go a little bit wide out the exit there uh but yeah thank you so much for the follow and hopefully you're enjoying this race um cuz I certainly am uh and even though um perhaps uh it has B an end to the championship is Ben me he to come the inside of soua and he just backed out the last second there they are approaching a um car about to be lapped as well so that could uh uh make things a little bit more tasty but he does draw to the side again that is good to see uh so uh yeah soua oh my God I mean it was it's uh this is such great racing between the PA and Rob yeah it's it's a weird one to see cuz I've been watching these two now for a few laps it looks like bellin's car through bendor which is where you know the the the the long well it's quite a sharp left hander uh after the double right at the end of the straight uh it just car looks just to be so much more planted through that section and uh it's not an area of the the circuit where you would you would expect to see uh a lunge up the inside but susa's car just seems to just push wider and wider wider and the door just opens up for bamin to stick a nose in as we just tick over the halfway mark is much closer this time Sean indeed yes indeed yep he's uh weaving left and right uh and it's honestly uh the Saving Grace and I don't mean it as any pun on Grace behind but uh but it just seems like that mclin's just got that extra bit of speed down the straight I mean he's got that slipstream but he's if anything he's just going the same speed he's not really going fast faster than him and uh you know bamin doesn't feel confident to sling up the inside because uh perhaps that McLaren will pull away again so um yeah it I second to what you said earlier on Rob about uh you know Bellin perhaps not meaning to actually send it on soua but just seem seems to have a lot more grip uh out out of the turns same spot yeah same spot particularly yeah particularly in these uh sharp hair pins uh and uh yeah is it's like he's not meaning to do he's just meaning to get oh he goes up the inside though yep there is a little bit of contact was a little bit of contact but I think All is fair there and uh yeah look you can see look how much the McLaren PS in him so they were side by side and actually Bell bamin was in front but sus it gets back in front yeah it's just the P the power of the McLaren just seems to be the definitely the edge over the Ferrari at Paul Ricard this evening and but the Bam's car does look good throughout the corner he's going to have to get the move done earlier Maybe pick a different spot as a couple of times now he's chose to make a move into Dupont which is the final Corner he's had a couple of looks at bendor as well uh just a few Corners before uh I think he's going to have to change his uh vision of attack he can't get it done on the straight so there's no move into signs at the end of the uh the mistal straight um it's going to have to pick uh another mode of attack I think Sean I think that's um the only way is going to get this done uh yeah indeed indeed and uh Rogers just said where's the DRS button I know that I'm pretty sure bamin is thinking that but he is going up the inside now and I think he will be able to make this stick Rob cuz he's got the inside line going into this turn if he doesn't go too wide on the exit which he doesn't beautifully done perfect beautifully done absolutely perfect if anything it was Souza that went a tiny bit wide H and of course all this battling as well I was just say all this battling would have brought Grace into the mix but Grace went wide for some reason that just looks a bit weird to be honest uh but yeah Grace went wide out of the exit and he has lost that Gap to Souza then we've actually uh I think that's a back marker isn't it behind I thought that might have been Clayton then yeah Clayton's a forther few about five five seconds uh rearward of Grace at the mini but I say that 5 Seconds rearward of uh Grace at the minute that's P5 that's the top uh Am driver at the minute is Clayton so please don't think I'm uh dismissing the fact that 5 Seconds now 4 seconds um uh over Grace that's an absolutely phenomenal race from clayon as is uh Lou Descartes and Knight as well so we have three of the am drivers within the top 10 of this race right now uh indeed this is really really good to see uh the the amateurs uh certainly mixing it up with the pro drivers as we just saw I think that is disgusts isn't it went a little bit wide out of the exit there so that will of course uh bring Knight into the equation even more uh he is currently about three or four atts behind uh and then with the straight coming up very very shortly uh that Gap could uh desate even further um but yeah really really good to see Clayton out in front as well um on his own as well it's been a fantastic uh uh round here at uh the circuit Paul Ricard of course um and I did speak about him didn't I uh Clayton uh in a different series I think it's the taco Tuesdays the tier 2os that the guy has got Pace you know he's definitely got good form and he's uh definitely showing it here today Rob yeah absolutely um I haven't had the pleasure of uh watching Clon Drive I don't believe I don't think this is his first race in series but I was watching during the practice session just trying to get some pre-race notes to see where uh a few of the drivers at the 385 by the way sha in T2 I'm not sure who that is uh Wessel again uh in T2 causing a yellow flag that's a another car sent round yeah during the practice session just getting a few pre-race notes like Clayton I haven't seen this name before let's check out who this driver is and I was like very very impressed with the lap times um I think at one point uh he was into the 55s 54s so you know really really going for it and uh yeah pleasure to see and uh fantastic to watch uh indeed definitely indeed uh Rob I'm just thinking off the top of my head I think he was in the last round Clayton uh and yeah and was trying trying to find him on the leaderboards earlier I will just double check Sean with the in the AM standings to see where uh to see where he classified I didn't I didn't the the name didn't ring a bell immediately the the only reason why I say that is because um so you know unfortunately Rob wasn't here uh last week at Zelda so I had um I had the honor of uh dblo Raven or uh John uh with me last week and uh um and of course we mentioned about clayon and uh mve who were mixing it up with the pros like uh you know without the crashes you know they were just legitimately mixing up with the pros both in qualifying and uh race pace and uh and of course Clayton came into the conversation um so that's that's where I'm getting it from Rob oddly is not in the standing okay that's weird then so I don't know whether that's just a um the clerical error in the backgrounds but yeah I couldn't see him on the uh I couldn't see him on the standing um want to look up for Clayton because it'd definitely be a pleasure to uh to to have him racing uh and watching uh Talent like that on the track uh he's having a fantastic race so far is clayon P5 for him and uh I think it's worth you know 12 minutes to go Sean we need to talk about vortal we need to talk about uh his performances season uh 12 minutes 12 just over 12 and a half minutes to go uh round one P1 P3 double victory in round two double victory in round three did not start and it did not finish round four another double victory in P5 round five a Podium P2 and a win in round six and two p2s last week what an outstanding season this driver has had uh yes indeed indeed I've been very very impressed with him and uh uh he he hasn't um failed to uh impressed throughout the whole season I think he got a little bit unlucky I think it was uh round of this is off the top of my head so you've obviously got it in front of you rob um I know I just I remember all of that oh okay he's just got a better memory than me then that's an absolute joke there's no way I can remember there's absolutely no way I would remember yes I uh I do have the Sim grid page in front of me up and loaded um so yeah I can bring you all the stats that you need I think it was what was it round four was it that he got a DNS and dnf yeah round four there was a d uh I did not start I attempted race two and got a dnf in that one I cannot remember the exact reasons why whether it was a server uh like a connection issue on his end um or it was just a terrible uh weekend of racing for him uh but other than that Sean I me that's pretty Flawless right yeah inde yeah um I remember now that it was uh wasn't it that race where he he obviously qualified really high up and then uh he had like some sort of Disconnect and then he started at the back of the field was it that one that is the one yeah yeah yeah he got a disc disconnect which um put him to the back for the race to yeah that's the one um okay race race four was indeed uh Circuit of the Americas yeah that's right as 82 car picks up a drive through penalty that's allac that is crucial that is crucial Sean for the uh Championship I think the um Championship is as good as sewn up uh but it would have been very close with alac picking up uh a lot more points um than the championship leader but with that driw through penalty sh yeah yeah it's it is complete disaster because uh yeah Robinson I wouldn't say it's been you know I think he's been doing enough but but excuse me he's been doing enough but uh but he's not been super competitive tonight is he and what great timing my apologies everyone but got this the uh last race of the last round of the Season all the excitement coming out tonight Sean yeah yeah he said um I think Robinson has had fair to say an up and down season very very up and down season round one p15 and a P5 and then round two uh not the best of weekends for this one a 15th and an 11th round three particularly impressive he took P6 in the first 20-minute race uh and then took a rise victory in the 40 round four was a P10 and a P2 round five was a three and a nine round six fourth and fifth and round seven P5 in a race victory yeah uh well this is it I think um uh as far as I know with Robinson yeah it has been a little bit of a Topsy Turvy season however he has been consistent in the fact that he's turned up for every race uh unfortunately with alch I think he's missed a couple of rounds hasn't he yeah missed alch was um uh Missing for round six but overall a very good season for him currently before the evenings events the evenings racing started uh Bruno alak uh the P OB from Portugal the 285 points for him over Robinson well under Robinson who had uh 414 points that one missed race really does you know knock a dent in um what you can achieve over the season uh and a few of the other drivers in and around you know P2 P3 all the way down to P P6 I think Robinson hasn't missed the race uh yeah yeah indeed so it it's it's unfortunate you know maybe uh uh you know real life comes into play and you know whether it's work or or you know we're in the summer season of course aren't we so you know people going on holiday and stuff but uh but yeah it's unfortunate because maybe uh old Ma you know with the form that he's shown uh during uh the the races that he has turned up for uh you know maybe he'll be really close at the top maybe he'll be even leading it uh but uh with two sprint races per um per round of course it's 40 points a piece up for grabs isn't it so uh that's a lot of points to lose uh and got two rounds off yeah huge huge points on off and uh I've got to give a a shout out tol's own uh Chris Gman because uh talking about attendance to the races he's the only other driver in the AM category to attend every race he did take an unfortunate dnf uh in round three but as attendance goes there every week so absolutely fantastic to see uhl's own uh Chris getman uh up there uh trying to get there every week we understand that some drivers can't always commit to a a full schedule which is unfortunate um but it is always good to see the the drivers that are there we in week out uh indeed indeed and just uh uh just cuz I was watching a bit of the onboard uh racing there uh Lord just takes a position on I think it would have been an amateur driver anyway um that be CL yeah so up into p16 uh he's the fastest man on the circuit right now as well Rob he's been one of the fastest drivers on circuit all night he did take the fast uh I believe I believe he took the fastest lap of the race in race one so law has been on form tonight unfortunately this race got caught up early with that uh Shenanigans in T2 on the exit T2 lap one which pushed him right back down the grid but uh yeah definitely definitely up there on Pace with the top Runners taking potentially two fastest laps of the race uh we are now down to just over 5 and 1 half minutes of the race Grace now starting to pile the pressure on the 32 one McLaren and soua oh just Lo B to make a move up the inside um doesn't though gets it uh gets it stopped um but yeah Grace really pushing hard now in the Ferrari in P4 uh wants that last Podium spot off so so have got to be honest sh seems to be really struggling with the uh potentially the tires now as well of that McLaren uh under steering a lot uh through those longing uh Corners yes indeed over the line they go yes indeed uh Rob yeah it it's well um you know will fredman in chat did obviously mention about uh you know it being a 40-minute race it's it's quite hot out there uh the track temperature has come come down a little bit um as we just see track limits for 442 is that more that's Max yeah yeah okay so uh yeah bad from bad to worse for mve unfortunately for him but um yeah as alluding to um the track temperature has uh dropped a few degrees to 30 but that is still really hot and that you know the speeds that the drivers will be uh pushing uh around this circuit uh yeah the tires uh sorry the tire degradation is pretty high uh so in the closing stages will has mentioned that expect the drivers to uh to struggle a little bit on on them tires so depending on the tire pressures of uh what the drivers have set for the cars um we'll determine uh which drivers are struggling and which ones aren't but it seems like soua is uh one of the culprits then to that wow beit sideway sideways say absolutely love to see it coming through signs there at the bottom of the mistra mistra straight absolutely sidewards love to see that I uh it was a bit unfortunate I didn't have the outside camera on I had the uh the cockpit but even then I can see a little bit of sideways there but uh uh I mean you couldn't make it up could you rob you know just talking about how uh overheated the tires would be and how how much grip they lose um yeah unfortunately for night as well Sean he's picked up a drive-thru penalty so one too many off track excursions for Knight there currently sat in P3 for the AMS uh we lose about 20 seconds so he might be okay uh in terms of am category position but we'll definitely lose out in the overall uh position yeah Rogers might just get there I'm not sure it is Touch and Go definitely yeah um think yeah it's going to be very very tight very very tight um it is quite fortunate that you know Knight was involved in this battle but of course uh you know he he he could have even uh got an outright second position uh for the amateurs uh so is very very unfortunate from Knight's point of view uh but uh yeah it only takes three warnings isn't it toh to get a cut track uh penalty and uh unfortunately that was uh cut track number three wasn't it so yeah indeed um so yeah race um race coming down to the last 2 minutes now so we're probably going to get two more racing laps maybe even just one more racing lap there Sean with the uh the lap times around the 2 minute Mark as it is this may be the last B well this definitely will be the last B one lap of the race as Vel is making his way up to bendor now through Village uh at the right hander this will definitely be the last lap of the race 6 seconds 6.8 seconds to the goodies Vel uh he will take race Victory albeit any major mistakes but the way this guy is driven all season I cannot see that happening so phenomenal season for him round the last corner to Pont for him uh making his way up to the line Sean this will be the last lap of season 10 for the Pim gearl Racing League you would like to take us through this last lap with vortal and bring home the potential pretty much guaranteed Champion uh yes indeed yeah thank you rob uh yeah so uh yeah it's been an absolute phenomenal season for Vel he's uh uh I mean he hasn't really put a foot wrong uh as alluded to maybe uh uh one round uh he he got maybe a little bit unlucky with I mean actually remembering back actually rob you know technically it wasn't even his fault was it I mean he got disconnected put put at the back of the grid then got unlucky so it's been pretty much a faultless uh drive from Vel for uh pretty much most of the Season uh and uh he's going to uh he's going to grab two back-to-back wins uh at uh the Paul Ricard circuit and I believe is that not 10 wins for Vel as well Rob if You' still got the the uh that y that will be that will be 10 wins in the season Sean just uh it's not going to affect any of the standings but the 442 McLaren of maximilan Weg has been disqualified from this race okay uh uh he was a due to serve a penalty OB obviously hasn't sered that penalty and had one too many excursions off track and the ing game Stuarts have decided that's enough and disqualified the 442 of mwag wow well that is a turn up for the books I have seen a few more uh drive-through penalties for some drivers but need to get on board with Vel because Vel is just about come around the final corner to not only win backto back wins at the circuit po rard but also win season 10 of the frl pure Sim gear super spr in Sundays and a worthy worthy Champion for Vel with bamin getting a P2 excellent result for him too soua uh guess the P3 and Grace P4 and then Clayton just coming around the final corner to get the race victory for the amateur drivers as well so a great victory for Clayton with disgarded oh my God that was photo finish wasn't it uh yeah but Knight will serve a 30C penalty there as well so uh it will be P2 for Louie Knight in P3 but we'll lose some time I'm not sure he will lose a position it's going to be very close cuz Rogers uh currently oh tropman just crossed the line there in the Lamborghini as is Harvey so Rogers about to cross the line now depending on that time might Nick that Podium spot in the AMS uh CAU Wess and Robinson a lap down they have finished the race Rogers the line uh towns end will be next across the line in the number nine BMW coming round dep Pont now last corner of the circuit uh and that is about it l just behind as well yeah L around the final corner and Tansen uh blle tzen in the 420 BMW p15 for him overall uh yes indeed indeed so it looked like uh a lot of the drivers that had the drive-thru penalties actually coming in now but I think he still gets the 30 seconds anyway uh cuz it is the last lap but yeah Knight gets the 30 seconds Bergen gets the 30 seconds uhac of course 30 seconds to him cabau do yeah there you goac 30 seconds cabau 30 seconds um so yeah sad to see but yeah of course is the final race of the championship uh so you you can't really blame the drivers there of course uh but yeah congratulations to Clayton for the uh for the race win for the amateurs uh P2 for discard and Knight I think is confirmed as P3 I think Rob yeah it does appear yeah I think I think so so Knight does take the the P3 there in the MS uh Rogers will come home in P4 olac uh in P5 uh clack six wessell seventh Robinson in eighth and Gman in ninth indeed indeed so uh yeah what a what an absolute fantastic uh last round here at the Paul Ricard circuit and uh just just a fantastic season in general uh Rob um it's yeah it's been an absolute pleasure um but yeah Rob what is your uh well actually what what is your thoughts of this race and uh what what would you who would you say is the driver of the day as well uh again the driver of the day one's always a really difficult one to call and um I think it'd be very very easy to give it to forel and I think he will get your vote if I'm not mistaken yeah I have absolutely got really invested with the MS this season I I really really have it's been a super close battle in the AMS and I'm looking I'm really looking forward to seeing some of these am drivers get promoted cuz they are well within their rights to be uh driving up with the uh um with the with the pros right now and I think it's only a matter of time um but Clayton for me uh Sean absolutely phenomenal in the AMS P5 overall in that second race he will get my driver of the day fantastic fantastic uh yeah I mean yeah definitely uh uh definitely Vel for me for the pros uh and you know it's been uh pretty inspirational isn't it let's be honest actually that is a good point in chat Stu Rogers what drive p29 to P10 fourth no is he gone third no fourth overall in the AMS that is a phenomenal Drive oh I can't take it back now can I can I give two can I just give them all one well now you've brought it to my attention Rogers I I'll give you drive of the day for uh the amateurs um we've also got to give um driver of the Season haven't we um as well um you know obviously yeah um I mean obviously for me the stand out is Vel uh you know no no questions there Sean um Vel has been absolutely outstanding All Season uh 10 Race victories in season 10 uh I think anybody that would uh argue um anybody that would argue driver of the Season there would uh be a difficult argument to have yeah yeah and I think uh um I think the chat will agree with us as as well I mean is uh you know uh I've never seen a more worthy Champion than Vel you know he's he's really just dominated from from start to finish did look like there were signs uh from Tom uh Tom uh Bellin wasn't it at the start of the Season he he looked pretty dominant at the start but apart from that uh first round uh forel is just been Unstoppable uh yeah and don't forget chat our driver of the day it won't get you any extra points it is just uh just our opinion but I genuinely I've enjoyed watching uh all of the guys drive in both categories I think the uh the pros Pro category has been superb uh I think the am category has been absolutely incredible battles up and down the grid and um it's a shame it's uh it's come to an end Sean cuz um I want to do it all again next week yeah I know it's definitely going to be a huge blot in our calendar that is for sure um you know I I have no idea when the next season is uh might be sooner than we think but uh but yeah it's been uh it's been an absolute pleasure to commentate on um for you know a fantastic race series and uh you know we've seen so many uh awesome battles um you know throughout the season uh uh you know we mentioned this earlier as well you know there was a lot of uh uh difficult uh driving conditions for the drivers as well you know we've had like the uh uh the sort of cold weather or the cold rainy uh part of the calendar of course at br's hatch and off the top of my head I don't think it happened for the super sprint series uh at Donnington uh I think I might have been getting mixed up with the uh taco Tuesdays uh but yeah we've had you know some extremely wet conditions to extremely uh hot conditions where the the tires lasted about two laps as well um and uh the drivers were just absolutely phenomenal out there uh and really showed a a master class of uh how driving should be on uh ACC and uh and particularly in the frl as well so uh so big big credit has to go to the uh drivers um and yeah of course uh you know big thank you to everyone in chat as well that have been supporting us and uh perhaps been correcting us on a few uh driver pronunciations uh it was certainly interesting to get to know uh all the drivers of course um and uh you know keeping us uh inundated with uh certain weird incidents that may have happened uh during the races as well um but yeah you know C certainly for me and Rob you know we're uh quite new to to commentary um you know we we we've done sort of commentary privately but uh for something um official in the frl um you know you guys have been full of support and it really really means a lot so uh thank you very much guys um you know almost bring the tear to my eye yeah I think I'll say just from myself absolute pleasure to watch these drivers uh late all of been uh absolutely fantastic to watch uh from inside the commentary box and I really do hope that the viewers at home wherever you are in the world have had the uh the same enjoyment as I have um I think thank you know massive thanks to FR frl for hosting such a great series of races the the sponsors and uh I guess last bit from me thank you all on behalf of Raven cots I am of course drivers uh on one circuit on PS5 has never been done before really that's absolutely amazing oh what a joy to be a part of yeah so so you know we we I don't know if there'll be any history books as such you know I have to uh ask I'm writing one now ask uh the Guinness uh Book of World Records you know uh you know first commentators to commentate on a 40 plus uh grid on the PS5 um I I I shall have the uh the enjoyment of producing ourselves some certificate on and I'll get your out in the post as soon as possible fantastic that's what I like to hear but uh no it's been uh an absolute pleasure to lead this series and the of course the inaugural season 10 here onl as well um so um yeah with that said uh it's been an honor and a privilege for both myself Sean Madden and uh Rob G
