welcome to sunny California which is not so sunny today but uh we're at condo and I got my hands on one of the only pre-production versions of the brand new camcorder that Sony's making called the z200 let's get into [Music] it many of us that Sho lot video have really come to love the ax series camcorders but slow Sony is slowly kind of doing away with those the only Survivor right now is the ax43 so a lot of people ask me what what are you going to use instead of the ax43 z200 seems to be a really good candidate this is a 1-in sensor camera uh it can shoot 60p in Ultra HD so 4K it's a 4k 60p camera which is really cool for the price point many people don't want to use a camera format camera they want a big battery for more long form video they want two card slots that auto automatically switch they want real audio you know with xlrs uh where you can just go right into it um and so for a lot of reasons the um the z200 makes a lot of sense for people now it's not available yet and this is only a pre-production model and I've been told by Sony that I can shoot with a little bit and I can show some um some video footage from it but this is a pre-pro camera it's not really ready for prime time yet and the firmware is being updated all the time but this could be a really awesome uh option for people doing long form video content like uh you know a speaker that's going to talk for an hour and a half for instance um I could see a lot of use in churches this has got a huge Zoom range um you know so you can zoom way in on the altar or whatever way back it would be a really good camera for Run and Gun uh egg photojournalism it's just super small compact and really inexpensive for what it is um so for a lot of reasons I really like the z200 and um uh especially cuz it's got the built-in ND filter the built-in variable ND which is so crucial if you're trying to get consistent look um so anyway uh enough about me John about it here are some statistics about the camera but I do think that people a lot of people contact me they say hey man I've got the the ax700 I want to get another camera I want to upgrade what should I do I think this is it uh this is probably the way to go it's uh older brother will come along after and I don't have one of those they don't have one at condo but as soon as I get my hands on one of those I'll be doing some content on hit but for right now this is the z200 In the Flesh at condo at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in not so Sunny Santa Barbara California thanks so much for watching [Music]
