2024 Fantasy Football Mock Draft | 10-Team PPR - 5th Pick

what's going on everyone welcome back today we've got another live fantasy football mock draft for you back on Yahoo with a 10 team half PPR mock where we will be selecting fifth overall right smack dab in the middle of it all should be pretty interesting and while we wait for this thing and kickoff a quick reminder if you enjoyed hit that like button subscribe give us a follow on Twitter at all that being said let's dive into this thing the first pick has been made it is Christian mcaffrey pretty much like we would all expect now I'm hoping here what ends up happening is that we have one of Bree or beon fall to us and if that just so happens then that will be the automatic pick right there but well just like that Bree Hall is off the board so our chances of Landing one of those two guys slightly lower now I will say I love the fact that Bree hall went 102 I think that is the correct call so I can appreciate that let's see what happens here at 104 I have a sneaky suspicion like it might be either Tyreek or Bean it ends up being Tyreek Hill so we do kind of end end up getting lucky Bean is right there for us and this is a pretty easy pick in my opinion getting that last like upper echelon tiered running back right it's mcaffrey I always say mcaffry is in a tier of his own and then it's Bree and beon right underneath him so I am happy that we got one of those two guys now this will make it a little bit tougher maybe in the second round to um you know go with somebody like a drake London that I really like at that point in time just because you're really investing heavily in that Atlanta offense but either way you know we're just going to let the draft come to us that's what I always say to do in the snake draft right and my advice is if in the first two rounds you can get an uper Echelon running back and an uper Echelon wide receiver kind of be a little bit balanced in that regard then absolutely do so but let's go back to the draft board here because I just saw a pick that warrants us diving into this but a pick at the same time that's not too crazy let's see what they do in the second round though I don't want to get ahead of myself so after bejan Robinson we had him on rth Brown then Jamar Chase then Garrett Wilson this is all okay but then Josh Allen quarterback in the first round with the second to last pick that's asinine um as a 9 as a 10 as a 11 as 12 you get the point that's stupid UM quarterback shouldn't be going this early but I do kind of appreciate the fact that it happens because it kind of gives you like a real home League type of flavor where somebody might do something idiotic like this now just as long as it's not you then we're all right but yeah Josh Allen should be going especially in a 10 Team league I'd argue like towards the early third and because that happened you have guys like I mean that's crazy jir Gibbs land lasts until the 204 so that's really good value Jonathan Taylor went at the 110 then AJ Brown then Justin Jefferson Isaiah Pacho I was kind of hoping we might land Pacho um I think puka AA is still there he is so is Marvin Harrison so is Kiren Williams I'm debating going one of those guys let's see with pukan akua I kind of want to try and scoop up scoop up Cooper cup afterwards I don't think it'll be that big of a drop off let's go with Marvin Harrison here and then see what happens hopefully we can get Marvin Harrison in Cooper cup I I am going to stay patient on Drake London maybe there's a chance he falls to us in the third round if he does I'd be very happy with that but uh yeah I went with Marvin Harrison in this situation I still honestly think it's a little bit too early but I'm looking at the other wide receivers and I just think Cooper cup is a better value than pukan AO at the moment I think that there's a chance that Drake London Falls to us in the third round I'm kind of out on Devonte Adams I'm out on Mike Evans Chris Olive and option Cooper cup an option so let's see let's see how this thing pans out I already had my my rb1 so NE not you know going Kiren Williams wasn't necessarily a must I will say probably this person with mcaffrey puka a and Kiren Williams is going to be the best uh first three picks at the 101 that you see ever like in any mock draft in recent memory so kudos to that person um but yeah this this ain't going to happen too too much now here I have a dilemma because Drake l is still there Cooper cup is still there I really believe in Cooper uh in Drake London in the breakout I'm going to go with my guy I realize it's another Atlanta Falcon but I really really do believe in Drake Lyon I think it's a good value where we're getting him in the third round and then I'm going to just load up on other wide receivers afterwards and hopefully be okay I'm like I said before at the start of this draft I'm going to let the value come to me and I'm I I I think that's what we did here with that pick in the third round of Drake London but let's recap the third round right kyen Williams Mike Evans Chris olve aan Drake London Devonte Adams so yeah this is kind of a wacky draft we see a running back run here in the second round with Barkley Gibbs Pacho we went Marvin Harrison but then Derrick Henry etn Josh Jacobs puka AA Kiren Williams uh kicks off the third uh then Mike Evans Chrisi Devon Anan Drake London Devonte Adams Cooper oh there goes Cooper cup so so he won't make it back to us Rashad white Nico Collins so I think there's a chance we might be able to land somebody like a Jen Wadd somebody like a DJ Moore at wide receiver if we wanted to I'm looking at the running backs oh we have our first tight end off the board with Travis Kelce at the 310 I'm personally out on Kelce this year I think there's other younger more exciting cheaper tight end options out there that make a little bit more sense um wow DJ Moore went dton Cade went with the 32nd pick super early but okay now it makes sense why because it's the person that drafted Josh Allen they're getting the stack but I mean Sam leapor is still on the on the board if Sam leapor is there I might just take them at this point in time honestly uh in the middle of the fourth round not a horrible horrible value Bren and auk just went um so it's one of those things where I think Sam lto will be fine you know he's he's back practicing from his hamstring so we're not in a horrible situation now you know Trey McBride is also still there but then it's loading up on too too many guys from the same offense Lamar just went I'm going Sam leapor here let's just stop his fall let's get a top-notch tight end so Lamar Jackson is the second quarterback to go ahead of Patrick Mahomes ahead of Jaylen Herz this really is a wacky draft here but at the same time not too too crazy like I could see most of this stuff happening that's why I think it's really intriguing and why I kind of want to you know continue going through this so again to kind of recap what we were working with here we drafted bejan Robinson then we went Marvin Harrison in the second then we got Drake London in what I believe is a good value in the third Sam leaport in the fourth is definitely a good value and now let's kind of recap these last couple of picks so uh leaport then it was Debo then it was Jaylen Herz Michael Pitman uh good value there on him DK metf momes Mahomes at the 501 really good value uh rasid rice and then James Cook oh I was hoping I could get James Cook I could sneak him in there doesn't happen Jaylen Wadd on the board would probably be my pick um actually maybe Alvin chra here since I need another running back and he's kind of the highest ranked running back that I have left on my board would have been easily James Cook um if he was available but a lot of good value dropping here Jaylen Wadd being selected right before us makes this selection a lot easier we're going with Alan chimra uh a lot of weak 12 buys but again bejan and uh Drake because they're on the same team Alvin C on the Saints but look folks um I get this question a lot the by weeks okay you know are you really going to bypass selecting a player because they have the same bye as somebody else or multiple other team uh people on your team where they when when when they are clearly the best player available where they're the guy that you need fit your team perfectly and you know like all SE season long Outlook they have super high upside hell no if you're doing that that that's not how you play the game so uh keep that in mind let's pull up the draft results again here quickly uh after we went Alvin chra then it was Mark Andrews Anthony Richardson CJ stra Joe Mixon little bit of a run on quarterbacks here uh that's fine David Montgomery and here now in the uh sixth round let's kind of pull up to see what we might be hoping for I see a name here that I mean Trey McBride shouldn't be on the board still that's that's kind of nuts um Terry mcclaren's a good value Malik neighbors if he's there I'll probably scoop him up I'll be honest with you like I see a world where I just Trot out two tight ends um as my Flex Trey McBride is again I I won't do that but I I just mentioned that to again allude to the fact that that's insane value that Trey McBride is still there in the sixth typically somebody that goes like in the fourth round um we got two more picks until it is my turn damn Malik neighbor just got selected we might really be taking uh McBride here let's see I mean because this person ain't gonna okay thank God they took Trey McBride so we don't have to look foolish selecting him um Amari Cooper just went it's our turn to make a selection I mean I like I like Terry mclen Devon Smith uh I'd rather go with the one and Terry mclen here let's make sure I'm not passing off like a big time quarterback Kyler Murray I mean we can go with a stack in Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison let's let's see if uh let's see if he makes it back to us Kyler Murray that is I'm going to go Terry McClaren here and then if Kyler Murray gets back to us then that'll be nice but if not I'm not going to force it so yeah we went with Terry mclen then it was Dak um I think it' only be this person right here that would potentially be selecting a quarterback tank Dell maybe they'll go Kyler Murray we'll see and you know our roster our starting roster is starting to be finalized here so again we just need a quarterback George KD uh Aaron Jones Kyle pittz so this was this was a mock draft where we saw some good tight end values last until the later parts of the draft You could argue the case with the quarterbacks as well there goes James Conor okay so we're going to have a chance to land Kyler Murray if we really want it with Marvin Harrison um I think that's probably the move here you know when he's been healthy Kyler Murray's been a top 10 quarterback so not an awful pick there and then from there on out you kind of just start building out that bench right so let's do that uh Evan Ingram just got selected that's fine yeah I will go with Murray here and now just go best player available after this point so if a George Pickins if a t Higgins if a Deonte if a Calvin Ridley fall to you you take it you don't look back you don't apologize and I think we're in a good spot right running backs to make sure that you know we're not passing up on anyone with Incredible value nothing is really jumping off at me at this point in time Jonathan Brooks is ranked lower here I believe yeah over here um oh gosh we've started to get defenses going off the board it might be that time it might be that time where we start to uh kind of wrap this thing up T Higgins just went yeah I I didn't think he'd last much longer great Val value there the 709 Stefan digs goes at the 710 right now if I had my choice I'm hoping Pickins or Ridley or Christian Kirk are there for me I'd love that bench uh pick for us give us some flexibility give us some more depth at wide receiver we could use another running back we only have bejan and chimra at this point in time Christian Kirk just went so um Christian Kirk won't be one of our selections George Pickins I wouldn't be mad at George Pickins at this point in time not at all let's see what happens we've got uh three picks to go until we get to make a selection this person up just took George Pickins so it will not be George Pickins there goes rre Stevenson um so who are we going to go with here probably probably Calvin Ridley probably Calvin Ridley if he's still on the board if not Deontay Johnson it's going to be one of those two guys so let's see what happens at this point in time I don't trust Z flower I think that you know that's going to be a run-heavy team I always say that javante Williams just went I'll go cevin Ridley okay and yeah that's that's how the this squad is starting to shape up I don't mind how this went you know I like we got our hero running back with bejan we were able to get Alvin chimra who I think will be pretty reliable at running back to uh Sam La Porto tremendous value I think we got good value on Drake London now sure uh do I wish that it was a little bit more Diversified in regards to both bejan and Drake London being on the Falcons yes but again I'm not going to apologize for getting good value we're able to get a stag between Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison um and then got some good values with Terry McClaren and Calvin Ridley let's make one final pick here um because yeah at this point in time it's gotten to the point where um yeah people have gone on auto pick oh Brian Robinson just went wide receiver anything crazy not necessarily let's go running back let's get another guy let's go with Jonathan Brooks
