Aaron judge keeps rolling along he's got 51 home runs he's on Pace now for 63 I saw where Jin Carlos Stanton his teammate said he thinks judge one day could hit 73 home runs well if you're going to pitch to him then he would bonds may have had 90 home runs if you pitch to him he was walked over 230 times that season he had one pitch that he would get at might be all forward bats he might only get one pitch a guy walked with the bases loaded intentionally this is just that's just different now the difference is bonds was cheating Aaron judge not under a cloud of any suspicion there and it you know it's kind of refreshing that you're you can buy into a home run Chase of sorts and not feel like oh no I don't want to find out you know SOA Maguire it was great it was awesome having been there being inv involved with that with sports center go to those games at Wrigley interviewing Maguire it was there was an innocence about that it was like it's baseball it's great uh the Cubs weren't playing in meaningful games but Samy was hitting 60 home runs Maguire with what he was doing oh Sportsman of the like we all we bought into all of it and then all of a sudden we realized that was Consumer Fraud now it was still enjoyable but you know Cal Ripken brought us back with the uh breaking Luke Garrick's consecutive game streak like it it was one of those nostalgic moments where you're going okay this is what it's all about Judge feels real it's hard to be a Yankee it feels like and nationally you're liked respected and I don't think people look at Aaron judge you know even Dereck Jeter people had a problem with Derek Jeter oh he's not even the best shortstop on his own team you know there was all of this with Jeter well if he played in Kansas City he wouldn't be Hall of Famer and Aaron judge it feels like we're we're okay we're like all right you know he's with the Yankees but still he's pretty fascinating but you know he's a Paul bunion likee guy when you see him at the plate like when we saw him in in person at the All-Star game that's different like you're just seeing you're going yeah he's 67 and you put spikes on him you know he's 68 69 he's like zido Charo when he put on skates and he's like seven feet tall reference thank you thank you but I don't when's the last time there was a Yankee where you go yeah I kind of like him he's a good guy A-Rod no Andy Pettit no Clemens no Bernie Williams maybe ber burn baby burn seem uh Chino Martinez maybe I don't know the bambo I I yes Marvin how do people feel about Don maddingley oh yeah they they like Donnie baseball but but they weren't winning that was before they were not likable yes yes then they started winning and that was right so he retired but people liked maddingly cuz he was just like that's just a throwback that's a baseball player and then all of a sudden they started winning and then you had the the core 4 or whatever it was called and then all of a sudden you know they were bringing in every Everybody anybody because they could afford it yes it's funny though that if Don maddingley was on the good yany teams be like that stupid mustache why don't you just shave that off I hate that guy dumb batting stance you know what I mean completely different then God I can't stand that guy man cut your hair stupid so the best thing that happen is he had to retire yeah because of his back right yeah or Donnie they wouldn't have liked you he would have been so unlikable yes Pauling I've been thinking about this for a little bit and I hesitated to bring it up because I didn't want to take over but I'm looking at the most uh home runs in the season all time in baseball history it's Barry Bonds and Mark Maguire and Sammy Sosa a couple times and Mark Maguire again and then it goes to Aaron judge with 62 a couple years ago and he may get 62 this year um then there's Roger Maris is there any chance 25 years from now history looks at Aaron judge as a single season home run champion no because baseball hasn't taken those Seasons out of the record books right but almost like I don't know if it what's the player comp but like remember we had Senator McCain on and he said Hank Aaron and Roger marris for me now he's old he was old school but I wonder if there's any chance that history is not kind to bond Maguire and Sosa it hasn't been and looks at for an opportunity to put judge a Yankee beating Roger Maris as the single season King well no he should be ahead of Roger Maris like I don't have any problem with that he should be absolutely same number of games and he hit one more home run than him not under a cloud of Suspicion yeah fine with that it just bonds his sort of yeah yeah he's the alltime Home Run King and he h 73 y Sosa those are incredible numbers uh but they're not real Maguire they're not real but they're in the record books you can't take an eraser to it so it's there but it's almost like yeah but
