New Mexico has seen its first death this
year from the West Nile Virus recorded in late August according to Bernalillo County
officials the 65-year-old woman was one of two positive West Nile human cases in the area
in a statement released on August 23rd city and county officials warned residents to stay away
from outside activities around Dawn and Dusk and to where insect repellent went Outdoors
according to the New Mexico Department of Health the state has reported more than
30 cases each year for the Last 5 Years
