Tommy gu great um I think they're all attest to it but you know obviously just representing the state representing this team uh it means a ton and and to be you know voted among your peers and your teammates and and uh just to be able to you know see how much they respect you and how much they see as a leader it means a lot yeah no uh for sure this morning when I saw my name back up there for uh you know the captain's list it was for sure surreal to think of you know the three years that I've you know had the opportunity to to represent the school represent this team represent the rest of my teammates as well and um you know I I I wouldn't say that it's it's probably really hit me um as to thinking how you know exclusive that list might be um but it it is um certainly a privilege and uh you know I I look forward to to uh you know doing everything I can to help this team five of guys are in yeah um I mean certainly the five guys that are from Montana um you know they grew up wanting to come to Montana State and that's how it works if you're from Montana and uh you know so obviously have an opportunity to not only come here but then be a captain here it means a ton um you know they put their heart and soul into this program uh they want to see this program you know succeed once they leave and and leave it better than they found it a lot of the guys in the past have done that for us you know as we scan this the BAC now and and seeing you know the indoor facility you know growing right across the street um but just I think you know 5 years ago when I first got here none of this was even really I mean it was a thought but it wasn't really getting started we were over at The Brick working out there and so um you know just to see what the four years people have done for us uh you know certainly we want to pass that along and continue that first time Captain what are your thoughts on those special um it's no surprise at all those guys have been leading you know since I mean they they've they've been playing I mean that's just kind of How It's been um they just kind of wait till I return to be a senior and and to get that opportunity to be a captain um you know but they've shown that you know day in and day out for you know three four years now you talking about perk and yeah Justice yeah excited to get to play some football um you know it's been it's been a long time we've been out there competing against each other offense versus defense and and uh you know we're excited to to see obviously what we're going to be putting together here uh you know New Mexico we're going go down there into a hostile environment you know uh you know certainly physically and and hopefully they got a crowd behind them um we'll see um how much um all those factors are going to play into it but you know we're for sure going to be you know expecting you know uh we had a new defensive coordinator from them so we don't know certainly by certain what they're going to be doing right off the bat um but we have some ideas and so um we're going to be you know certainly just kind of you know running our stuff on offense just like how we always do and uh you know kind of get this kind of get the season started yeah a passionate team you know we're gonna be running around we're g be making plays we be flying around um the most excited to be on the field you know those are the things that come to mind and then just our uh know acronym cats we're going to be you know character accountability toughness and state those things are going to be shown every single day uh they been showing at fall camp and that's what's going to be you know game in and game out
