Fundraiser or MATCHMAKER? (ft. Elizabeth Abel) #shorts

it's in a way like a little bit of matchmaking in the sense what's exciting about being in the role that you are to either coach others or facilitate gifts I think it's really energizing and also fulfilling to be able to work with nonprofit leaders and development teams to put together the strategy and Pitch essentially to engage major funders and then for those major funders to feel like they can play a meaningful difference in the future trajectory of organization through their philanthropy so it's in a way like a little bit of matchmaking in the sense um not fostering the connection between the two people but helping them build alignment around a shared vision and goal and when those gifts come in and sometimes they come in quickly and other times they could take years to come to fruition they're so fulfilling and it's really exciting to see the impact that philanthropy can have
