what's up everybody hola I imagine you're a little more pleased with corliss's hunting averages this week I mean I thought he did a good job in the game he did a great job executing the punting plan that we had going forth in that game yeah 100 and then I guess how happy were you for him winning the especiating player of the week anytime we can help our team win a football game as far as field position I'm happy I'm the the work that close puts in watch and tape uh studying himself studying opponents it's a credit to him as why he's the AFC special teams player of the week so I'm happy for him absolutely talked about it was you back Singleton was able to I guess get a few more reps on special teams uh a guy that can make plays consistently uh as soon as you put him out there you insert them in the punt team you assert them on kickoff coverage uh the speed um the way he played as far as awareness uh the way he got down the field I mean it was very impressive he had three solo tackles in that game so I feel like it was improved how much was that credit to Alex I mean this is the first time that I felt like we were playing Bronco style football right we're trying to still build a culture of standard Round Here tackling a guy inside the 15-yard line twice in a game that that's where we want to be but again like I told those guys in a meeting that wasn't our Super Bowl right there we can't celebrate we gotta consistently do that for the next 14 weeks so yes I was happy with that game but now we got to show that we can do it again Jerry rosberg obviously has the special teams experience will he work with you as well as with Coach Hackett or is that just uh he's working with Coach we we all we all know that he's been hired for game management that's what he'll do I have an assistant his name is Mike Mallory he's the guy that I lean on and the other guy that I I conversate with on a regular basis is Joe dickamilis obviously we played him this year so I got to be careful what we talk about but if I need somebody to lean on those are the two guys that I'm leaning on how nice does it have the versatility to get with Mike with Mike Boone yeah it was a it was actually surprising right we we rely on Tyree we've relied on um other guys to play Gunner PJ for example to see Mike Boone go out there and get down the field with speed and urgency to make those plays inside the five-yard line to also affect the returner from getting returns because he's up in the face of them it was very impressive it was very impressive but you were with Coach ever early in both of your careers and I'm just curious if there were things you saw even in those Tampa days that kind of gave you the sense that he would you know he how he would handle this job when it came time for him I mean we not only did I work with him in Tampa early on but we had long conversations about this last year we built we both felt that we were ready to be coordinators in the league uh e is a smart guy he's a detailed guy um he's not going to left any leave excuse me any stone unturned so the way the defensive plan is a testament to e but also those guys buying into his system right they're playing fast they're playing physical they're doing everything that he asked them to do but the makeup of egerel we I knew that he would be successful as far as a coordinator 100 how common is it for coaches to talk to other coaches from other teams throughout the season very common especially if it's your Mentor you got to keep in mind I work for Jody for several years he's the guy that um he believed in me the most I would say he helped my coaching career a lot along with Raheem Morris Etc Sean McVeigh but uh I mean he's a he's a friend not only a mentor but he's actually a friend that I that you know it's rare to have those guys in this business because everybody's competing everybody wants to beat each other and yes when I face him I absolutely want to beat him but if I have an issue or I have a concern I'll reach out to him and say hey coach out of your 80 years of coaching how would you handle this situation you know what I'm saying so it's kind of like somebody that I lean on but we're also friends at the end of the day if you're asking if we have Peter calls and things that are so we absolutely do right Montreal needs not only communicate for himself but also our guys so that we don't get hit with the punt we don't want any muffs we don't want any fumbles any turnovers in those situations so if you see Montreal pointing he's communicating to our guys as well get away from the ball Peter Peter Peter spread the field get away from the ball so 100 he will communicate on all those type of situations obviously not a fair catcher when he's returning the ball but if the ball hits the ground we must communicate so that we don't have any mishaps thank you guys have a wonderful day
