This morning, we are taking a live look in Philadelphia where later today, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will take the stage for the first presidential debate. The debate is hosted by ABC. There will be no audience and some rules agreed to when Trump debated President Biden back in June. Some of those rules include muted microphones when it's not their turn to speak and no prior written notes as they come closer to the November election. Today's debate is key for both candidates to persuade undecided voters. We've got to leave, you know what? We've got the people. We got to stop the cheating if we stop that cheating. If we don't let them cheat, I don't even have to campaign anymore. We're going to win by so much. There's no floor for him in terms of how low he will go. And um and we should be prepared for that. We should be prepared for the fact that he is not burdened by telling the truth. Today's debate is currently the only one scheduled for Trump and Harris. You can watch CBS news coverage of the presidential debate tonight on channel five, starting at seven. In the meantime, their running mates, Ohio, Senator JD Vance Minnesota. Governor Tim Walls are preparing for their debate that's scheduled for October 1st.
