yo what's up YouTube so um I saw this story and I had to go ahead and get it out to y'all so pretty much we have uh two very good players that are going to be playing against each other tonight um I'm not sure if they already played yet on I did not get a chance to check it out and look it up yet um if they already played but I'm pretty sure that they already played because it's it's uh central time here now it's central time here and uh they were supposed to play tonight and this story came out yesterday and uh I've been busy since forever so I just wanted to uh go ahead that's why when I saw it I just had to go ahead and just get it out as quick as possible because this is a very good story so these so these two here this is Jessica P pegula I'm sorry if I mispronounced your last name versus Shelby Roger um so these two have played against each other before when there was the uh the the tournament I forg I'm sorry yall I can't think what is was what it was called let me see if this story actually mentions it cuz I was trying to look through and see that they mention about them playing before uh just give me one second here yep yep yep right here okay the so let's go ahead and just read through this the Compadres go way back less than a year apart in age the two have been competitors since they were children playing each other at smaller tournaments on their way up to the pros peglar specifically recalled battling with Rogers at 16 and under sectional tournaments in Georgia yep I remember this way back at the beginning of their relationship after the release of the main Dr she said their meeting in the US Open will feel like a full circle moment for the two longtime competitors I'm not sure why I'm sounding like that guys I apologize um so but uh let's just continue who have never played against each other at the professional level regardless it will be a tough match to play knowing that a possible Rogers loss would mean would knowing what a possible Rogers loss would mean oh my God y' I am so sorry but I know I sound probably I don't know um let's go ahead and just continue out this last little few sentences it sucks having to play her peglar said but it's pretty crazy and I think cool in the same way to say that we were playing at all these crazy sectional tournaments you know so yeah so they were playing at tournaments before you know in their teen years years and now they get to play again and this is big because uh Rogers is going to retire as it says here that she announced this on Friday on her social media that she's going to retire pretty much by 2025 she's going to be out of the league and uh fully retired due to uh injuries and things like that you know so like I I'm like this is this this is going to be a heck of a battle right here you know this is going to be a heck of a battle these two right here have already played each other so they kind of they probably know each other's style and and kind of and weaknesses and things you know who knows you know this this is going to be a battle here if if they have not played yet I advise you guys to go ahead and take a look at this um if they have played you know um go ahead and send me a link in the description and uh let me take a look because this thing this battle here is going to be crazy all right I just had to go go and get that out to you guys so uh all right y'all have a good one
