the moment from a strictly football standpoint the matchup of the Eagles offense against the Packers defense sets up like this Kell Moore was hired to give the Eagles offense more complexity so that defenses won't tee off on his quarterback number one and jayen Herz will cut down on the number of turnovers that's what they want but the Packers hire Jeff Halley as a defensive coordinator for an aggressive profile you'll see much more man coverage on the outside they think they can match up against the Eagles offense in this game with man coverage and extra pressure on number one Laura great stuff from sty as always and as for the other side of the ball the Eagles top priority this offseason has been fixing that defense through the first seven games last season they ranked fourth in qbr and were in the top half of the league in points allowed in yards per play but from week eight on it was a different story they allowed the second most points per game in the highest qbr new defensive coordinator Vic fangio will lead the turnaround effort this marks of course his 21st season in the role Dan what challenges will Jordan love and this Packers offense throw at Philly tomorrow yeah there's so much to look at especially for a defense that's starting the season and likely going to be young in some really important parts and when you take this Matt laflor and Jordan love offense you're going to get different formations different Personnel groupings multiple tight ends are going to be on the field how does Philadelphia match up with that who do they want to try and maybe play action pass to to help sure up that protection is it going to be a Jaylen Carter is it going to somebody off the edge maybe a Bryce Huff if you allow Jordan love to have these Pockets even though this secondary is significantly rebuilt it's just really difficult to defend because he has such confidence what he's looking at so you get that one formation now is another formation with the back in the back field tight end up top now you got to pay attention to the motion how are they going to communicate how does Philadelphia and Vic fangio counter that what's the communication like on the second level because there's that ball fake again you don't have any type of real pass pass rush and there's another chunk pass one went over the Middle Field one went towards the sideline now you get down into the Red Zone I know Marcus loves this one back into Back Field again multiple tight ends on the field again how does Philly match it there goes that motion and here comes the Run game that split flow where everyone flows one way and that tight end Cuts back across for a rebuilt linebacker group for a rebuilt secondary group and for some young defensive tackles this early in the season it's just a lot to look at I'll go back to when these San Francisco 49 played Philly and maybe it's not that extreme but there was so much disconnect on that defense they're disciplined eyewise is going to be such a strain tomorrow night you know we all got to watch good college football last week so let me put it in college football terms so the Philadelphia Eagles are the team that the nil and transfer portal absolutely gutted right and they're just trying to find New pieces and get people where they can place them in cuz we needed Corners we needed a line backers so they're trying to figure this thing out and then the Green Bay Packers are the Blue Blood college team that only need to go out and find like one spot right they just needed Josh Jacobs because they already had Christian Watson and they had Romeo dos and davien Wicks and jayen Reed and Luke Musgrave and so they just added one more piece that makes them better and so if I was the athletic director of the Philadelphia Eagles I would have been calling the athletic director of the Green Bay Packers and being like I don't want to play y'all can y'all please send Morgan St here and I'm G pay them two million so we can play against them because that's how bad the matchup can be when you're talking about a secondary that's trying to get used to playing with one another and the Green Bay Packers who finished this season on the high ascending as their Young quarterback got better working with many of his younger players on that offense and you expect Devin white to be a player this year and he's even out in the first game yeah RC I don't know where you get that background from but you look like the main carrier and a bosia painting that looks phenomenal I don't know where you are but it's gorgeous listen man I'm telling you man the eye candy from Green Bay but again like I talked about with the Baltimore Ravens earlier this defensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles is newly minted and if y'all remember two years ago the conversation we had for as much as we talked about the Eagles offense and what they were able to do they led the NFL in sacks they were a pressure football team so between Josh W will Jaylen Carter turn into the new interior guy that we start to talk about and mention as those three techniques and how impactful will Bryce Huff be there is a Hassan reic situation going on with the New York Jets but Hassan reic with the Philadelphia Eagles was a 19 sack guy the year they went to the Super Bowl so the disruption from this front obviously is going to matter how they are in the Run game as well but I think it's going to be a point of emphasis for the Philadelphia Eagles to to get back to pressure by the way you heard swagu is an art expert now he actually
