49ers Released Preseason Depth Chart! Lets Compare Roster Projections!

all right live hey y'all this is Wolfie today we are going to check out the 49ers death chart released before preseason before I get into anything if you end up liking the video please hit the like button and if you like the content please sub if you haven't already if you're watching this later so anyway let's get to it so let's look at the 49ers depth chart and uh take a look at some surprises because there was a couple of them I was actually shocked to see uh and bear with me I'm a little out of it right now but I'm here man I'm doing I'm here so we pulled up add the stage boom boom there is the depth chart okay first we're to start off obviously with uh Ry start with quarterbacks sorry big lunch oh my God to bring it need bring my a game look like quarterback so I personally had it as as Brock pie Joshua dobs Brandon Allen and tanor morai as like pretty much going to be the depth shart well apparently Brandon Allen and Joshua dobs are fighting for the second QB spot and I tell you right now that is not a good thing if Brandon island is fighting for a c QB spot a second QB spot a backup position somethings up with Joshua dobs and Tanner morai might very well be a second quarterback if he balls out this preseason uh and Larry Krueger might his wish and props to him because if Joshua dos can't even beat out Brandon Allen what are we doing here what are we doing so yeah I I I'm really bummed to see that I hope that Joshua dos actually plays really good in preseason because I know Brandon Allen's not gonna show me anything in the preseason Taran morai is gonna be nice I'm G like he's only play against third string obviously most likely if might not even get snaps at all because we probably want to see a lot from Brandon Allen and Joshua dobs but from the little from the little bit we see Tanner morai I hope he slings it I hope he doesn't Reserve himself I hope he really shows himself because that's what Brock py did in the end up no he's not a starter now he has the starter fullback oh my God controversy Kyle huek or Kyle huek Kyle husek is the fullback obviously wide receiver they kind of have a separated so the top there is obviously Brandon iuk bottom here is Debo Samuel Brandon iuk is uh obviously pending we don't know what's going on with him so they have him on the depit chart just in case because I know the 49ers still want him and even though there's a lot of hype about being him getting traded there was also hype about him saying uh about the 49ers office not trading him so just G leave him on there for now uh Debo Samuels the onew uh and Joan Jennings would be the three in this scenario uh and that I agree with Jan Jennings would be a great second wide receiver I think uh and then uh Chris Connelly would be the fourth theoretically wide receiver of this situation he definitely made he's made the roster I'd be shocked he has C uh cut Brock P has been connecting with him left and right uh and he's constantly showing up on the good side of reports deep balls outs ins doesn't matter what it is Chris Connelly has been a target for rock py so we're definitely keeping Chris Connelly um and since Brock P's not gonna take any snaps I'm assuming he's not not until the third game uh we'll see how Chris Connie looks with Brandon Allen and Joshua dos uh Rick piol however I don't know if he's playing because I think he's still kind of dealing with a little bit of an injury and don't want to risk it so he's just kind of doing training camp stuff with like very limited in practice but hopefully we get to see him that'd be nice uh I know he's playing more with Brock pie so he might not have a good connection with Joshua dos and Brandon Allen but however if he's a great wide receiver he'll adjust figure it out make big plays and that's kind of what I'm hoping to see he's supposed to be like Brandon I he's supposed to be a Brandon IU clone he's supposed to be elite at wide uh at um route running so I'm not shocked by that I see way back here in the bottom right Jacob cowing I thought he was hurt I think he's still hurt so I don't know if he's gonna be playing at all that's probably why he's on the back end and tame Martin's up uh Danny gray that makes sense he's back there Chris Conley's making the roster Dany gray may make the roster T Martin is not John Trey Kirkland I don't know who that guy is we just got him uh a couple days ago but nah then a wide receiver back in near where Debo Samuel is with Jaan Jennings we obviously just talked about him uh Ronnie Bell he might very well make the roster I think he will because he's got some connection some talent and I think he's got a huge upside just stay away from Punt and returning bro can't catch stay away from punt returning and then um Trent Taylor great leader leading by example teaching the kids the ropes of Chuck College hand Shanahan system however he's not making the team I do expect him to take some uh reps during kickoff returns um and as third string wide receiver but again I think he's just there as a camp body leave by example most likely a practice Wide guy same thing with Frank Derby 49ers love frank Derby right now so practice so all got three quarterbacks fullbacks and wide receivers tight ends no surprise here at all actually there's one like minor surprise it's not really particularly like anything like huge is that with the tight ends Cameron lotu is ahead on Mason p on this that is a shocker I understand they probably spent a third round draft pick so they're probably like hey we gotta put him out there maybe he'll show up during the game uh because they did invest a third round draft pick however Mason Pine has shown a lot more potential showing up a lot more in reports uh jakay tungus sort of honestly I would switch playing with latu and then Logan Thomas with lotu L in the back end outside of that the tight end position is perfect uh you definitely got saber and Willis as your one or two3 Willis has been a stud in the passing game and saber is supposed to be average at everything which is blocking and everything else so he's pretty much your Charlie Warner just um just Eric sober however yeah I don't really like the tight end position too much it is solid like it's it's solid now we got three of them but if one of them gets hurt I don't really trust Jake tongus lot to if want to hear Logan Thomas or playing so we're kind of stuck with these three I think we should pick up another tight end somehow if we can that would be fantastic and so everyone if you like the stream uh please like the stream helps out the channel a lot I appreciate it um streams every single day one I'm gonna attempt to uh unless I go on vacation uh but yeah I stream pretty much every day so if sub if you haven't lik the live if you haven't already I appreciate it so now let's get to the juicy one the the big one because honestly the 49ers are set everywhere even if we lose Brandon iuk 49ers are set at quarterback they're set at wde running back they're set at wide receiver definitely wide receiver even if we lose Brandon auk and relatively tight end what they could do is maybe pick I know I just said tight end but they could pick up a fourth tight end just in case a another quarterback something because if like I said if dos is is struggling to handle that second spot something's wrong you need to pick another quarterback there something anything uh just not Nate sudfeld stay away from Nate sudfeld fre please for the love of God love of God stay away from that dude all right and then o line of course so oine is the biggest need on the San Francisco 49ers even more than kicker heard Jake Moody's been missing kicks oine is still worse uh we so with Trent Williams out right now holding out the this is the starting lineup for the San Francisco 49ers most berford is out let's make let's take some notes Right Guard berford is out with a broken hand won't be back until week one most likely uh John Fano same thing I believe he's injured he's not playing so Dominic puny will be the starter this game and then uh Lewis kid I think will be the second guy up for Right Guard zakel is supposed to be also a center but they have him as left guard so that's actually kind of surprising I expected them to be uh I expected him to be a center we still have Sebastian gur I I can't gutiz sorry I totally butchered that name I apologize uh and then jerck Kingston at right at left guard as well I thought gutiz was a tackle so that's kind of weird seeing him as a guard however Kingston I heard is playing Right Guard every now and again too but it looks like it's uh the second right tackle behind mck it's going to be Parker even though I haven't heard much about Parker but most likely 49ers Gonna Keep Parker and hubard I know huard's probably gonna stick around Parker Maybe not maybe maybe not but if they have him listed as a second right tackle and from what I see here I would I would do it I would keep I would keep Parker and Hubbert um even if Parker is mid if he's the best bright tackle tackle we can get right now do it so keep out for Waiver Wires hopefully there's a good tackle out there when uh players get cut that's kind of what I'm hoping for if not I still not my confidence like oh my God I'm so worried I'm so worried right now okay so you talk about the tackles they're very very thin a tackle very thin a tackle so guards we got Eric Banks uh he's going to be the left guard starting starter and if he's not playing right now that means that Kell's G be play the left guard in preseason uh and then Brendle I believe is still hurt deal tenius so Ben B most likely will probably be the center for preseason newent I hope I'm excited that's a player and watch by the way that's a player to watch this preseason is going to be Drake nent that's theone to see during the pre uh preseason Dominic puny to look out during the preseason Jordan Mason who's been a stud in Camp with chrisop Caffrey's injury if Jordan Mason can show out this is time this is the time to do it I'm really shocked to see Cody shider really far on the back end I'm actually shocked to see that Patrick Taylor and gendo are third on the step chart that's actually really that's I'm surprised I didn't bring that up but yeah that's that's shocking you would think that Cody shider would be ahead of Taylor and gendo to be honest uh what else what's some other surprises out there uh NOP that's everything so newent we're look out for nent I'm really excited I hope nent is I hope nent is the man I really do because he's got a lot of experience a lot of potential there's a lot of talk about him Ben B is supposed to be like second tier like a top 50ish uh lineman so as a backup that's not bad so let's move over to defense we figure out what's going on on offense gota get we got we go we got to get a tackle depth and then after tackle depth we need to get a tight end a solid tight end and a solid quarterback and I think the team is fine there's really no issues there on offense outside that wide receiver is probably our most set up outside running back I think wide receivers are most set position all right defense I'm babbling at this point just babbling Leonard Floyd is gonna be a starting defense uh defensive end which is fine uh he's been playing fantastic he's an older guy but he's been a stud throughout Camp he's been one of the Stars so him across Nick BOS you see as a right who is the right Dian that is going to be something to look out for for during the season says uh the team is going into more of a five wide at times expect gross MOS who's the second uh D end on this list behind Floyd he might get snaps next to Floyd uh because he plays inside and outside so he'd be a good run stopper as well this this dline might very well be the best dline that Kyle shanan has ever had this might very well be if Leonard Floyd is that 10 and a half sack man that he was last year and if gross monos is what uh is being bragged about Jordan Elliot we got him in a free agency he's supposed to be a run stopper there's been no complaints about him but run stopping has been the 49's biggest weakness so it's good to see that we address that and hopefully uh players other than Jordan Elliott such as like given shows up hopefully he can do better in the Run game Beal can do better than the Run game um I have high hopes for Evan Anderson the fourth D end here as you see in the back endend I have high hopes for him but I've heard Shaquelle Brown is doing terrible I heard he's not very good Miguel's having problems uh so the only two backend D tackles that I see that have been showing up are Clea Davis and Evan Anderson so look out for them to potentially make the squad because we don't really have much on D tackle behind Elliott hard grave and Collins so you could argue we need a d tackle You could argue but there's a lot of like extra players to work with to find out the right piece can wise because fourth D tackle you don't need him to be great you just need him to be you know average just to be a guy so and then dend going back to D end obviously gross mod talk about Floyd Nick Bosa Beal Jr I heard was not not doing too hot I heard he's not doing too well so and with uh Drake Jackson out for the rest of the season not coming back dang that is that is some weird stuff man so I hope that we we pick up another DN I think it's some weird stuff we need to pick up a DN that's what we need to do so and wave ryver comes around the corner I don't think we have time pick up for wave ryver either because we did pick up uh Jonathan Garvin but that's a body that's that's a nobody um we need to pick up actually somebody who could do something you know maybe get a sack or two so some pressures not somebody who's just there which I think Jonathan Garin is that's DN got a comment from Papa J welcome to the show brother appreciate you man hey isn't it weird that they Brandon the starting wide receiver but they don't mention Trent Williams in the depth chart do I think that's weird uh I don't know is Brandon I gonna be at the is it gonna be at the game like he's obviously not gonna play because the Stars aren't gonna play in preseason this one but is he gonna be at the game because I don't think I don't think Trent Williams is gonna be at the game so that that may be that may be it so you could be on the sideline something but no I don't think it's weird I mean I I don't think it does I don't think it says anything 49ers have already expressed uh they want keep him so if there is some sort of Ploy here the ploy is to let teams know that hey we're perfectly happy putting Brandon iuk on our team so you need to give us what we want that could be it but if you want to take the non overreaction approach I just think that he's gonna be at the game and he's on the list overreaction approach would probably be because you know it's some sort of like trade tactic it's however however you want to approach he asked to if he doesn't want you find exactly so want you find either so there's no reason why they're probably putting him on the uh list May that's difference yeah maybe so maybe it's uh saying hey I was on the I was I was at the game I was on the um depth chart you know can't find me so there could be there could be a lot of things like that and fr Williams not being there he can't argue not being there so he can't argue being on the list so there could be a few reasons why but uh I I think that uh anything crucial like big like a trade wise would be a little bit of a stretch so we got through the DNS I'm I I I think that I think our D Line's fine best dline we've ever had however I do think we need to pick up one DN that can do a little bit of damage and One D tackle that can just stop the run doesn't have to be a good pass rush or just got to stop the run and this and the D Line's perfect there's really no surprises whatsoever uh on the dline um depth chart at all I'm not shocked by any of it not shocked at all I'm really excited about the dline not for preseason because I don't think D Line's the the D Line's going to show I don't think I don't think the D Line's gon to do very good during the preseason just because everyone's not g be playing so uh now linebacker Sam Mike and will uh if you're going like five wide there not really you're not really gonna be using three like really ever so anyway your Mike is obviously Fred Warner uh your will would be Devon Campell Campbell your Sam is going to be fouls I am a little shocked to see uh jayen Graham behind fouls on this one I know the foul is more of the vet here but jayen Graham has been shown out I kind of want to see him start over fouls or winters at least I really do uh Curtis Robinson I'm a little shocked is starting over um I understand that Ezekiel Turner is playing will but to put Curtis Robinson over pathon who's been shown out a little bit and we want to see more of curis Robinson we already know who he is I don't know I I don't like I don't think chis Robinson should be there I think he should be in the back end I didn't even put him on my roster projection I have a Rober I have a roster projection of his spreadsheet and everything I didn't even put Curtis Robinson on there because he's not making the squad if he does I'd be shocked shocked because you already got five linebackers like what fouls one boom Campbell two boom uh Warner three Graham four you got winners that's five you have five linebackers already dude and I think bethon would would take that over Robinson heck I'd take Turner over Robinson oh [ __ ] what did I click on um yeah so I'm actually shocked that he's even yeah that's weird so moving over to the corners Corners we got our starters are diamor Lenor they got Dior Lenor for nickel back too as well it's kind of fny he's got he's playing double position there that's an argument for Lenor right there when he wants his new contract like hey man I was playing I was starter for two positions dude um anyway uh Wards gonna be our uh left corner right corner Lenor and nickel packages and all that we obviously got Lenor playing that guy that means the outside corner nickel packages and stuff like that would be between yum and green and I've heard yam is doing better than Green unless you ask Grant con Grant con will tell you that Renardo Green's doing better maybe even lud Jr is doing better than yam however I think yam's got the I think he's got it and I think green is just gonna be the backup to Nickelback and then be the backup to yam I think that's how it's gonna go down and then lunar Jr will also be the backup for uh Lenor even though they don't have as Nickelback on here uh in the end he's going to end up being a backup to Renardo green and the backup to the other corn positions as well so because we're not keeping I don't I don't think W Ma's making it I don't I think we'll keep Tomas over Rocky if he doesn't show anything and I think Chase Lucas is gone as well uh I I this is the strongest cornerback CL uh group that we've ever had that I have seen him quite some time uh we've never had like full-blown starters all across the board from if we were go nickel you know t t to even four corners on the field at once we could do it and confidently that's how good we have we have it right now at corner and we haven't had that in a while uh and the same thing goes on for safety safety's a big one we were super worried about safety coming into this I mean we were really worried now not even close we got five safeties that I think could start for this team not really start but like they're good enough uh they're not really showing you on the dev chart here because uh they have Hawkins and Mahan on here even though they're not showing Huff hunga even though he's he's hurt that's why he's not on this list here and then Tracy Walker is another safety who we just picked up so obviously probably not on there because he just picked him up but so those two with brown odm and Mustafa we're good solve safety secondary for the San Francisco 49ers is has to be one of the best in the league like from top to bottom wise top to bottom wise it's the best one of the best in the league there should be no complaints there linebacker as well if Winters and um if Winters and Graham could show anything at all that would be that' be great if Winters and Grahams could be good we're also solid on linebackers this defense man this defense is insanely good and I'm I'm I'm incredibly excited so so my biggest worry obviously offensive line like I said my final thoughts on this my biggest worry uh is going to be offensive line we just just keep bringing people in just keep just never stop just never stop stopping with that stuff quarterback I'm a little worried about quarterback because I've already said it twice I'm G say for the third time here really preach it really hammer it in Joshua dos should not be competing for this second job the second job should just be his should just be his and it's not so that's like that's like that my biggest worry right now let's look at my home remove this is my roster projection here that I had that I made yesterday so as you can see I Joshua dobs has a lock pretty much to be the second quarterback I might have to change that because obviously he's competing with Brandon Allen who I think is gonna get cut but that I I might have to change that because it seems that's not the case here and tan morai might actually very will be the second quarterback and that's something Larry predicted which I mean at least once a year Larry says so many crazy things that like one of them he lands and he usually lands the quarterback he landed Brock pie he might land Tanner morai too as well we'll see uh running back I'm not surprised by anything well actually I'm a little surprised by Pete Taylor I already had him cut but they're apparently gonna play Taylor over shider which is shocking to me wide receiver as recently brought up iuk on the dep's chart but not Tren Williams but already talked about that could be a lot of things uh it could be the overreacting thing which is trade bait stuff the uh is it trade bait stuff or it's just like semantics with the rules of not getting fined and things like that because he is technically still on the team and he is the starter so Papa J says even a broken clock is twice right twice the day yeah it can be it can be can be um my edes really feeling my throat is like getting dry as [ __ ] all right uh so we look wide receiv saers is perfect pretty much nailed it um tight in same thing nailed it there that that seems obvious latu apparently his a little head of Pline is shocking to me I had Pine possibly making the team but it looks like latu might make it just because he's a third he was a third round draft pick last year little [ __ ] offensive tackle as you can see is a huge problem I have hu I have hubard as a guard because I went to research him and apparently he's a guard but I have to switch him over to the offensive tackle on this here but as you can see we don't really have any offensive tackles jayen Moore 49ers love this man it's a lock he's making the team um and he'll be starting over Trent right now which is a huge downgrade [ __ ] huge so there's that it's not much of a difference almost nailed everything except quarterback and and uh tackle all right now on a defense uh we lost Drake Jackson pretty much what I said earlier so we only got four DNS right now Austin Bryant he is cutable Gavin is cutable uh Beal Jor is definitely making the squad so as you can see if one player gets hurt uh we're GNA use we we would have to use another player for when another player is tired so we'll be thin at DN we really need a DN pretty bad D tackle is what it is the top four Kevin given Elliott Collins hardgrave predicted that based on from what I've heard and Clea Davis and Evan Anderson obviously are fighting for the position Brown and mcel or no I'm curious to see how Trent T is going to returns looking at him and Bill are going to be S be switching keep Bell away from returns keep him away I do not want to see Bell in Returns on one second I'll let my dog I let my dog in pause pass all right Bell's already dropped two punts this practice already his training camp and he's already dropped a punt in a game last year I don't want to see Bell in the squad man for keeping Bell in the squad because he's doing punt returns I I'm no man cut him then if that's if that's why you have him on there fent Taylor I don't see making the squad even if he is good at returns you got too many receivers to to uh keep on the squad for a punt returner essentially a kick off returner I I just don't see it if if the 49ers to Trent Taylor that would be I don't I just don't see how they do it he's too far back in the depth sh it's too serers to keep and I think that if you also cut him and put him on his practice squad I think he'll be fine there I don't think anyone's in the rush to pick up Trent Taylor all right so we through the D tackles uh ask for linebackers uh I was shocked to see fouls I thought foul was a cut man I think he's been around the squad long enough uh Ezekiel Turner hasn't really done anything he's been burned a few times already so he's probably a cut but apparently foul is the next guy up uh and and so I'm a little shocked by that uh Burks I don't think I saw Burks on that depth chart let me check I say Burks linebacker dep CH do we not have Burks anymore am I tripping I might have to cut him off I thought we still had Burks uh go off the drugs so yeah I mean line back thing I really you couldn't really go too wrong there fouls then if he's going to start like if he's going be the next man up then I there's high expectations there's high expectations for fouls there because D winers and and Graham I think deserve the shot to prove themselves quarterback obviously predicted Ward Lenor yadam green lutter finished going his course uh Amry Thomas might make it because he's the new Deontay Johnson uh safety became immediately a amazing we have four safeties that can start for this team that know the scheme really well and Odin Mustafa Fungo Brown where all of them have made plays except for unga who's obviously been hurt but he will be back by the 15th uh so he that's why I didn't put him on um as yellow because he'll be back U so honestly honestly so the only the only big hole we have here is just Dian think we just have Dean and maybe a run stopping d tackle so there's yeah there's just a very few very few positions and I think that's a blessing even if we don't address it really because a lot of teams out there have a lot of holes have a lot of depth problems at certain spots so even though it looks bad because there are certain needs like like if something goes wrong this will happen other teams out there have it way worse okay they they have to deal with a lot more switching around than we do so there there is a blessing here however there is an opportunity to get better there's an opportunity to make the offensive line better there's an opportunity to make the DM better so hopefully we do that especially especially with the cap space we have if we trade Brandon out iuk if we trade Brandon iuk we're definitely reassigning Trent Williams and I expect us to sign another pass rusher maybe in gway or Carl Lawson and then maybe an offensive lineman of some kind an actual tackle that gets cut something to be honest I'm actually shocked the 49ers haven't been like shopping draft picks right now for players I know that's something you do more towards tra uh the trade deadline but I mean if you're looking for offensive line I think now would be the time to do it so that's just me well this was looking at the new depth charts of the San Francisco 49ers not all of it obviously not all the players were there some are hurt some are just not be there for preseason such as Trent Williams so it's not the official depth chart but it's just official depth chart for preseason a lot of this can change especially if the players if it's a lot of these are locks right A lot of these players are locked okay this is obviously the five quarterbacks these are obviously GNA be the four safeties but either one of them gets hurt plays like [ __ ] it can change one plays better than the other it can change so preseason is a big deal for these guys PR's a big deal because the list can automatically change so especially if uh some of the practice guys been going against Brandon Allen and freaking
