Commanders Release Kicker Cade York and Sign Austin Seibert

yo what's up guys it's King Sean here and we have some breaking news the commanders are releasing kicker K York thank God man K YK he was absolutely terrible today we traded for him before our final preseason game against the Patriots we traded a conditional seventh round pick to the Browns for him and now we get that seventh round pick back because the conditions were if K York plays and starts in two of regular season games then that means the Browns would get our seventh round pick but they do not because we released them obviously so we get that seventh round pick back K or was absolutely terrible man he was pretty solid against the Patriots in our final preseason game against them kicked two field goals and well made two field goals and made two extra points now those field goals were very short they were like 30 35 yards I think 35 and 39 yards each so there were short kicks so I really you know don't we didn't see what he could do from 40 plus yards and we saw yesterday against the Buccaneers and he was absolutely terrible missed like a 49 yard field goal I think it was actually shorter than like a 43 Y and then missed a 56 yard I mean it was just bad now 56 yard field goal that's hard to make but still man it just makes it worse because you missed a kick before an easy kick before so man KD yorc man he he was bad yesterday he was bad and we made the right decision just releasing him I'm so tired of talking about kicker it's like Long Snapper like last year we talked about Cameron Chief men all season I am so tired of talking about kicker because I'm not saying it's you know easy to find a good kicker but like you see all these other teams they have no problems with their kickers but we have a problem with our kicker I mean Brandon MCM is obviously yall know all the allegations um with him and then we brought rise ahed he wasn't it then Riley patteron noted now KD orc now we're releasing him and now we're bringing in a guy named Austin cyberz he's been in the NFL since 2019 started his career off with the Browns and only has started one season really and that was that 2019 season with the Browns started all 16 games he was let me check here 25 from 29 from field goals so that's not bad and he was a rookie That season so that's not bad and then from extra points now not going to lie he wasn't great at making extra points that season 3 for 35 if you're you know when it comes to extra points I expected to make at least 90 % of your kicks or like 95 perc of your extra points man because 30 of 35 that's not great missing five that's not great the field goals ain't bad um his longest field goal that season was 53 yards so not bad and he had a 86.2 um percent field goal percentage so that's not bad but extra points man you should make most of your extra points and I guess he did but 85.7% of your extra points made that is not great in my opinion it has to be like 90% o over in my opinion but since 2021 or or I guess actually yeah since 2021 he's made all of his extra points but since 2021 he's only played a combined 10 games which isn't great so he he has kicking experience in the NFL but he just hasn't started a lot of games so this is just another guy where it's just a wait and see um his career field goal percentage is 80.4% uh his extra point percentage um throughout his entire career is 90.3 and he's been better from extra points um recently so that's pretty good in 2022 he was 12 for2 from extra points so that's pretty good from 50 plus yards let me see here he is 2 for six so that's not great um now he did make a 52 y this preseason with the Jets he actually had a really good preseason with the Jets really good Summer with the Jets even Jets fans said on Twitter that he's had a really he had a really good summer with them so you know if Jet fans saying he was good then you know could take their word but I'm just so like the kicker situation man the football Gods just don't want us to have a good kick it's it's really annoying all right it's super annoying you know looking at you know our division Rivals the CB's got a dude Brandon Aubrey he's one of the best kickers in the NFL now came from the USL usfl like one or two years ago um somewhere around then so hey man I hope he can be our kicker but it's just a wait and see Approach at this point it really is um I'm tired of talking about the position because it's a position where it's not easy to get the kicker position right I'll say but you know most teams have and hopefully this guy can be our solution um Austin cyber but we shall see so hopefully you know he can have a good performance um versus the Giants week two and then you know that can carry on throughout the entire season so that is it for today's video I hope you guys
