welcome to another episode of fan faces plus with your boy amadu amadu the great wherever you are however you are I'm happy to have you listen to me watch me got a couple of things to get off my chest today and uh let's hit the road going let's hit the road huh okay some of the things I will be discussing today is the beginning of the NFL season and the direction of the spotcast also today we are starting also a new segment today in sports history we'll put it all together tied all in and uh let's see where this goes all right thank you out there for listening subscribe share tell a friend to tell a friend we'll appreciate you much let's keep the show on the road huh all right today in sports it's the beginning of the football season well the football season technically started on Thursday September uh um September it started on Thursday September 5th I want to say but I'm not sure we'll get back to you guys but some of the games that uh the first game of the season was between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson and Baltimore Ravens fell short but you know as the season starts some teams play A little sloppy offense is far ahead of defense and defenses are not uh as well well equipped to to challenge offenses so Kansas City won the game cuz the offense was clicking they weren't playing up to the high octane level that they used to but couple of people chipped in Xavier worthy the new new draft pick chipped in two touchdowns and Patrick Mahomes uh chipped in another passing touchdown so so and basically the Ravens offense kind of wanted to run through Lamar literally and fig figuratively they ran through Lamar and uh Lamar got hot a little too late and you know it happens in sports but for the most part the team now supposed to win the game won the game and you know the football season's uh young the 2023 20 ex me the 24 2025 football seasons young so the Ravens look like they could compete as long as they get their ducks in a row Allah using their skilled and talented uh players IE Derek Henry and the cohorts of running backs they uh what's it called their hustling bustling running back them if they use them properly and they let Lamar be the quarterback back that he's supposed to be instead of him being the main Runner of the ball let Derk Henry run the ball let the other running backs run the ball instead of Lamar being your quarterback and your running back you got a boozer and Derrick Henry let him tote the ball let him get theit let him take the hits uh all in all like I said the team now was supposed to won win the game won the game and uh I mean you're on one but the sky the sky's a limit for the rap since so we'll see how how the rest of the season goes for them but uh the next team on on hand here the next game on hand here which was on uh Friday they for the first time the NFL played a game in Brazil it was between the Green Bay Packers and uh the green it was between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles it was a very competitive game very good back and forth the quarterbacks are young they're uh uh they're uh dual threat quarterbacks Jordan Love's a dual threat quarterback Jaylen Herz a dual threat quarterback Jaylen Herz is more of a du threat quarterback than uh Jordan love but they still they both competed it was a close game it was win for me in fantasy because I had Jordan love as a quarterback and I had Squan Barkley as my running back so all in all it was a good game I thoroughly enjoyed it it was offensively uh leaning and I love that about football cuz it makes for a firework show so but Jordan love ended up getting injured and uh he supposedly it's a spin MCL for Adam Sher so you know um he he's going to be out for two to three weeks but it could be better but uh the eagles they look decent too saquon Barkley on his debut on the Eagles offense he looked unstoppable three touchdowns come on the sky's a limit for them also I mean it's game one you can't really tell that much about a team game one but you know that they're going to be humming and they're going to be a a team to to be reckoned with but uh so the next games on the deck here you got the Sunday morning games Sunday uh early games the bills won they kind of played sloppy on offense Josh Allen kind of tried to play Hero ball in the first half and they settled down they settled in into what they did but I feel their key to success moving forward is uh let your skill position players take on the ball and do what they need to do don't um let Josh Howen play Hero ball and lose you the game or Josh play Hero ball and get hurt and him getting sidelined would be the worst thing that ever happened for the team the team would probably suck really bad cuz he's a heartbeat at the team but all in all the bills looked good they pulled out a win against uh threatening Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Mur they came in they scored first and they were up 17 to three uh before the half but all in all the Cardinals looked great the bills looked great it wasn't the best Bills game but it's also the first game of the season and they put it together well some of the teams that surprised me I mean I wasn't paying attention to them so much but they surprised me Minnesota Vikings surprised me by beating the Giants and the way to beat them and uh the uh New Orleans Saints they beat the Carolina Panthers and in the fashion in which they beat they beat them that doesn't spell that doesn't it's not it doesn't look good in for the future of the Carolina Panthers cuz they're supposed to have I mean it's not that they're supposed to have it's a new regime new coach new head coach and they're supposed to you know do their thing and you know be ready to play hard but uh it's not looking that and I'm starting a new segment today every every podcast and I will talk about sports history and today in sports history we got uh uh today in sports history September September 8th as a date but September 8th of years back Sports history we got Bert campaneris became the first major league baseball player to play all nine positions Bert camperis played all nine positions in 1965 first time it was ever done in a game in one game and in 1973 Han Karen hit hit his 709th home run and Hershel Walker in 1986 made his start in the National Football League after leaving the New Jersey generals first Walker is now uh uh he ran for uh the senate in Georgia he lives in georger I believe P Walker is now a politician no longer I mean he probably dabbles on football but mainly now a politician and in 1998 Mark mcgu hit his 62nd home run of the Season which was a record which he it was a record that stood for 37 years and he broke it he broke hit in uh 1998 Mark maggu hit his 62nd home run a record a record that stood for 37 years Kos and in 2002 the Houston the Houston Texans played their first NFL game of the season that's pretty cool and now the Houston Texans are seeing his contenders this year anyways they can go as far as CJ Str will take them and they have a b receivers they have tank Dell they have uh they have tank Dell they have uh Nico Collins they have theond dicks theond dicks have two touchdowns today in the game and also today in history Pete sis won his 14th Grand Slam against Andre Agy in the US Open congratulations to Pete sance and Andre Agassi we
