Welcome back to Kent five. Weather wise, we have a little bit of rain out there to the west and northwest of the city. This is the airport camera looking west northwest and temperatures are hovering right in the middle to upper nineties right now, which is right around normal for early September. Happy September by the way, 97. And since in 96 at the airport, winds are moving between 5 to 10. Here's the big weather story while rain hasn't been abundant, it hasn't been widespread. There have been one or two hit or miss showers inside San Antonio. Most of the coverage of rain earlier today was out West Del Rio towards Rock Springs, Uvalde Eagle Pass where a lot of the cloud cover kept temperatures in the eighties from earlier today. Now, as of the last couple of hours, we're seeing some additional development, nothing severe but a good amount of scattered numerous rain around the region inside San Antonio, you can see a couple of areas and blips of green indicating very light activity towards Bernie. We're going to stop the clock. It's 551 and there are a couple of hit or miss downpours around the region from earlier today, producing some lightning. But again, the atmosphere is not so conducive for producing widespread thunderstorms, but a good quick, uh let's say a quarter to a half an inch of rain is certainly possible. Again, zooming into San Antonio between Leon Valley Castle Hills, parts of 410 and towards the northeast side of Bert County, a couple of again, light to moderate showers out there this evening, we'll maintain that chance through at least eight or nine after that quiet skies overnight, middle seventies notice how much cloud cover starts to build in tomorrow. For Labor Day the morning, primarily dry, maybe a couple of scattered rain showers. But I think by the afternoon hours, 34 and five pm towards the evening, that's when the radar will get a little active and unsettled with temperatures below average in the upper eighties and lower nineties. So for your Labor Day forecast, we're forecasting a high of 92. But if rain starts earlier than that, we may be limited to the upper eighties, 88 to 89 scattered showers for your Labor Day. Um And the best chance of that happening to the afternoon, evening hours, some of the models painting out some localized pockets of rain near 3 to 4 inches, obviously, that'd be isolated. But around the metro, I would say on average 1/10 to a quarter with higher totals west of I 35 especially for parts of the hill towards Rock Springs and then towards the Rio Grande, 1 to 2 inches of rain is certainly possible for tomorrow and Tuesday as well. Here's your 14 day forecast tomorrow. 92 a little cooler and a slightly better chance of rain on Tuesday. But both days hovering around 40 to 50% coverage on scattered rain and a few thunderstorms. 89 Wednesday, first few days of September, not bad considering average is 94 to 95. But we're hanging in right around 90 for the next several days. Uh, by Thursday and Friday temperatures start to trend down. Uh, and so does rain chances. But by the first weekend of September, we're looking at highs in the middle nineties, sunny skies and back to normal for the next couple of days in San Antonio.
