Lex Fridman Puts The Kid Gloves On For Donald Trump Interview

all right guys let's get into this we were supposed to do this yesterday and we didn't but this is a conversation between Donald Trump and Lex fredman um listen I you know I like Lex he's a nice guy but sometimes it does feel like he panders a little too much to that Centrist ideology there's nothing wrong with being Center is but there is something wrong with I don't know it's it's there's a difference between like you know I happen to be Center versus in some instances taking both sides with the same level of credibility when that credibility isn't necessarily there but anyway let's just see how the conversation goes man I'm hoping it goes well it's only an hour which is surprising considering it's leex Freedman uh conversation but let's get this party started I don't know if you know this but some people call you a fascist yeah they do so yeah probably because he did the whole January 6 thing figure it's a right to call them a communist yeah they call me a lot worse than I call them a lot of people listening to this myself included I mean I rather I mean i' rather be neither but I'd rather be a communist than a fascist no like I don't that doesn't think that KL is a communist I believe you have to fight fire with fire well she's not a communist I I mean I don't know if she's the best but it's not Trump and after January 6th I mean how do you vote for Trump after January 6 that's just where I'm at I mean listen it's just hard to say otherwise we have to talk about it now because I know people will be in here uh maybe after the video comes out and they'll be like who what they'll have like a CB baby contion so I'll just we could just talk about it really quick I understand that Trump wanted to win okay I know that he called the election a win before all the votes were counted there was a lot of mail and ballots because of Co people weren't going in to uh vote as as much because they had the opportunity to vote with the mail in ballots so they could stay away from people we got to vote all week right you know Biden was the most voted president I think in history Trump was the second most voted not president but you understand my point cuz people had an opportunity to vote more easily right after that happened he contested it after all the mail and ballots came in there you know he didn't take the L fine you have the right to legally contest whatever you want after he legally contested it there was Zero evidence this is looked bad by both conservative and uh Progressive Democrat and Republican judges no evidence of any widespread voter for that had any impact on the election uh instead of trump taking the L he tried to circumvent the peaceful transfer of power right he called a little he called a little powow on January 6 at the capol building told people we have to fight like hell then they did they went there they stormed the building they were breaking through doors they're breaking through Windows nobody was guided in uh it was an overwhelming Force so the police officers or whatever security there uh was directing people down Halls to try to keep them away from com politicians of course which makes sense they weren't letting them in though this isn't some kind of deep State ridiculous conspiracy and um Trump sat there and he was desperately trying to get Pence to take in fraudulent fraudulent electors right because we don't vote for the president we vote for our electors to vote for the president and they promis to vote our way but they don't have to so that's what Trump wanted to do after about 3 hours and Pence being a real American and not going along with Donald Trump's [ __ ] psychopath [ __ ] um Trump finally said all right guys call it off and that's pretty much where we're at so like I can't support a president who is the antithesis of our democracy that's literally it it could have been a shoe and I would have voted for them it doesn't matter anymore you know what I mean policy doesn't matter Trump's policies aren't particularly good but even if they were the best I still could not vote for him because I couldn't like that's a that's it's just anti-democrat that's just anti our democracy so you know if you're still voting for me after that I mean I just don't know what to tell you man you're just it's [ __ ] crazy but politics is a dirty game it is a dirty game that's certainly true how do you win at that game they suffer from massive Trump derangement syndrome okay TDS and I don't know if they it's curable from their standpoint I think uh we probably have a better world if everybody in Congress took some mushrooms perhaps first of all Med what a riveting question thank you Lex marijuana has been amazing it's been I I've had friends and and I've had others and doctors telling me that it's been absolutely amazing the list of clients that went to the island has not been made public yeah why are there so many Cuts it's it's very interesting is oh this is an intro I'm [ __ ] dumb as hell man I didn't come off as an intro the following is a conversation with Donald Trump on this The Lex Freedman podcast they getting smaller and smaller get smaller right I mean PE people do respect you more when you have a big camera for some no it's cool and about 20 guys that you pay a fortune do it all right okay you said that you love winning and you have won a lot in life in yeah I mean who doesn't like winning uh real estate in business in TV and politics so let me start with a mindset a psychology question what drives you more the love of winning or the hate of losing maybe equally maybe both I don't like losing and I do like winning I've never thought of it as to which is more of a driving force you've been close with a lot of the Great in sport uh you think about Tiger Woods Muhammad Ali you have people like Michael Jordan who I think hate losing more than anybody so what do you learn from those guys well they do what the [ __ ] are these questions have something different you know the great Champions have something very different like the sports champions and you know you have champions in other fields but you see it more readily in sports you see it over a weekend or you see it during a game and you see that certain people stand out and they I wonder if he was told that he'll only get the interview if if he asks him the dumbest questions ever keep uh they keep standing out but it's there for you it doesn't take a lifetime to find out that somebody was a winner or a loser and so the sports thing is very interesting but you know I play golf with different people and uh you have there's a different mindset among Champions there's really a very different mindset there's a different are we really calling golf players Champions golf is such a stupid sport I don't know okay I guess the whites have to win at something right there's a different thought process you know talent-wise sometimes you can't tell the difference but they don't even do that tiger what's like the best golfer damn in talent but at the end of a weekend they seem to win and it's very interesting U like as an example tiger or Jack Nicholas he was a phenomenal winner and he does have a different way about him and tiger has a different way about him and Michael Jordan and there's never one you would think that there'd be one way Arnold Palmer was the nicest guy you'd ever meet yeah he's actually it's Arnold Palmer's an interesting guy I can't believe he started as a nice team Mogul and he really just took off and became one of the best golfers in the world and then you have some Champions that aren't really nice they're just focused on doing their job uh so you have you know there's not one type of person right but the one thing I I would say that everybody seems to have in common is they're very driven they're driven like Beyond they don't seem to give up easily they don't give up they don't give up but they do seem to be you know they have a passion that's maybe more than people that don't do as well you've said that okay politics is a dirty game in the past it is a dirty game that's certainly true true uh so if it is a game how do you win at that game I guess just lie a lot I hope [ __ ] idiots believe everything you say win at that game by getting the word out and by using sense you have to have a feeling where it's going you also have to have a feeling of what's right you can't necessarily just go what's popular you have to do what's good for a country if you're talking about countries or but you you have to get the word out and you have to just continous but that's like Trump's whole thing his biggest accomplishment was drastically cutting taxes for the rich and going hey guys I put $10 in your pocket yay even though that set us back deficit wise drastically like the Obama Administration when he took office had like a an annual federal deficit so he we were taking in or excuse me we're spending more than we were taking in every year the annual federal deficit was like a 1.4 trillion and he got it down to 650 billion Obama and then Trump came into office and pushed it back up to a trillion before Co so that's like that's a populist thing like oh cut taxes but the way that he did it was like the way that Trump cut taxes was like if you go to a [ __ ] bank and take out $100,000 and go oh or you take out a loan for $100,000 and went look guys I just made 100 Grand you didn't it's Preposterous like for instance you have a great show you have a great podcast it's very well watched and I'm sitting here and I do this a lot of people see it and I do other things and a lot of people that was like his best thing was not being good for the economy I mean I guess it was fine for the economy but not good for the country but that's like a popular idea like oh more money in people's pockets and it's a great idea to get more money into people's pockets don't get me wrong but I mean is that really the way that we should be doing it there's not a more intelligent way of doing that you know like taxing technologies that are displacing D jobs and driving down wages that makes the most sense I mean literally everything that exists today is reducing jobs whether it's self checkouts really self checkouts are huge self checkouts are reducing jobs everything is reducing jobs like even when I do work you know there's like AI that does um there's AI that takes care of uh doing the automatic captions for you I know it sounds silly but that used to be a job jobs are disappearing because of technology and it's a great thing because it makes life easier but we have to figure out a way to deal with that it's not a very popular concept though right so you know cut taxes permanently for the rich and temporarily for the middle class though that's somehow good for the country I don't understand that well see that and I go traditional also you know you have traditional television which is getting a little bit older and maybe less significant could be less significant I don't know but it's changing a lot the the uh the whole plane of of platform is changing a lot it's changed a lot in the last two three years but from a political standpoint you have to find out what people are doing what they're watching and you have to get it you have to get on I just see that these platforms are starting to dominate they're getting very big numbers I I did spaces with Elon and they got numbers like nobody's ever heard before so you know this is you wouldn't do that on like radio you wouldn't do that those numbers no matter how good a show you wouldn't do those numbers on radio you wouldn't got to get that X plug thank you so much xoxo uh bezy I always say you EXO Breezy that's my bad thank you XOXO Beezy for the five gifted Subs I really appreciate that do on television you've been successful in business you've been successful in politics what do you think is the difference between uh gaining success the two the two different disperate worlds yeah and they're different very different um I have a lot of people that are in business that are successful and they'd like to go over to politics and then you realize they can't speak thank you so much for the 21 months small gut would you look at Kamal uh kamala's policies on stream I mean I guess I could I'm not super necessarily uh interested they just seem to be Biden's policies and Biden's policies really weren't that bad he was boring like he wasn't really that bad I don't like what what you know I mean you know I know that there's like an increased I think there's like a conversation about like capital gains taxes and everything like yeah I'm for taxing people effectively so sure you know what is it like taxes like mostly rich people you still got like middle class [ __ ] people on welfare crying about it yeah whatever uh thank you for the 20 month small from Doc DRS 2391 mwah Papa thank you for the kiss and thank you for another $5 from xox Oz I really appreciate that you don't have to donate so much thank you I love you too they choke you know it's hard to make a speech in front of let's say you're talking about a big audience but I get very big audiences and you know for many people it's virtually impossible to get up and speak for an hour and a half true and have nobody leave you know it's not an easy thing to do and it's an ability but I have many people that are very very successful in business would love to do what I did and yet they can't pull the trigger and in many cases I I don't think it would work almost almost for everybody it's not going to work it's a very it's a very tough thing to do it's a big transition and now if you talked about people in the business in politics going into business likewise that wouldn't generally work out so well either thank you for another five gifted uh memberships xoxob you really don't have to give so much I really appreciate it but you know you don't have to give me so much money I genuinely appreciate that thank you it's talents it's different skills I have somebody wants to go into Pol save your money okay I appreciate it though politics so bad but he's got a little problem he's got stage fright now he's a total killer but if he gets up into a stage in front of people he doesn't do well to put it mildly actually I mean he does badly so you have to be able to make hard decisions like you do in business but also be able to Captivate an audience look if you're a politician you have to be able to speak in front of large crowds there a lot of people can't do that I've seen it sure I mean I don't think you necessarily have to to be able to speak in front of large crowds but like yeah I guess it does help being a good charismatic public speaker for sure they can't even think about doing it I like doing any user well I appreciate that I don't know if I deserve it but I do appreciate that thank you and they don't there are many people in business right now I could name them but I don't want to embarrass anybody they've been talking about running for president for 15 years and they're very big in business very well known actually and but it takes guts to run like for president I can tell you it takes guts to run it's also a very dangerous profession if you want to know the truth but yeah well he did get shot at so dangerous in a different sense too but it takes a lot of courage to run for president it's not easy but you have and you know the same people as I do there are a lot of people that would like to run for president that are very very successful in business but they don't have the guts to do it and they have to give up a lot gotcha got to have guts one of the great things about people from the business world is they're often great dealmakers and you're a great dealmaker and you've talked about what I'm just genuinely curious what good deal has Trump made that had like a really good I mean he came in the first thing he's like we're going to make Obamacare we're going to get rid of it and make it better nothing ever happened we're going to get Mexico to pay for w nothing ever happened what did he do what deal did he get what he like guzzled [ __ ] North Korea's come and that didn't [ __ ] pan out what deal did Donald Trump get us I don't understand I I really don't get it I'm a little confused what's the great deal that he got us what the war in Ukraine and that you would be able to find a deal that both Putin and zinsky would accept what do you think that deal looks like it does it probably doesn't exist and why would we even why would why would uh Ukraine even back down it started with Russia over trying to take over a part of Ukraine after historically genociding ukrainians and then implanting Russians they were trying to take over there pretend that they had a claim the us back to Ukraine and now Ukraine is pushing into Russia why bother are making a deal [ __ ] Russia why would we make a deal with Russia they can take whatever deal they're trying to push and do land grab as much as possible and they're taking an L cuz they're the weakest superpower if you want to call it that the entire [ __ ] world like why like [ __ ] them Russia is antithetical to our democracy like have you seen their policies like they are not free over there they had the same president for like 20 years I I'm not really feeling too bad for Russia here and there's really nothing that that Trump could really do he's just going to guzzle Russian come that's all it is I think the deal and I wouldn't talk about it too much because I think I can make a deal if if I win as president-elect I'll have a deal made guaranteed that's a war that shouldn't have happened it's terrible yeah and why did it happen because of Russia so look Biden is the worst president in the history of our country I don't think so I would honestly say that Trump is probably the worst president in the history of our country and she's probably worse than him that's that's something that should have never happened but it did happen it shouldn't have happened and sometimes other people aggress onto you and you need to defend yourselves okay that's that's like that's America number one that's like the number one thing about America and Defending Your Own allies it's number two about America okay so and now it's a much tougher deal to make than it would have been not really it should be much easier [ __ ] Russia's getting decimated before it started millions of people I think the number is going to be a lot higher when you see this all at some point iron out I think the numbers are going to be the death numbers are going to be a lot higher than people think okay when you take a look at the destruction and the buildings coming down all over the place in Ukraine I think those numbers are going to be a lot higher they they lie about the numbers they try and keep them low they not who's lying about the numbers what are you talking about what numbers are being lied about I'm so confused knock down a building that's two blocks long these are big buildings and yeah big building they say one person was mildly injured no no a lot of people were killed and there are people in those buildings and they have no chance once they start coming down there's no chance that's really sad I wish Russia wasn't a big [ __ ] pile of [ __ ] and attacking people that would be awesome that's a war that absolutely has to get done and then you have Israel and then you have a lot of other places that are talking War the world is is a I don't know if Israel is talking War they're in a war but okay rough place right now and a lot of it's because of the fact that America has no leadership and I believe that she'll be probably worse than Biden I watched the interview the other night I mean it was just a softball interview this is a softball interview also Tim Waltz is very likable if you don't even like Camala Harris Tim Waltz seems like a pretty cool guy so so you would like to see her do more interviews challenged more I don't know yeah take a debate with her instead of running away and only wanting it on Fox News like a [ __ ] I I can't believe the whole thing is happening we had a man in there that should have never been in there they kept him in a basement they used Co they cheated but they used Co to cheat they they used Co did oh right cuz of the mail in ballots right right Che did without Co too but uh okay had somebody in there and now we have a woman that is not I mean she couldn't do an interview this was a really soft interview this is an interview where they given a multiple choice uh questions multiple guests I call it multiple guests wow you must be the first to call that huh and uh I don't think she did well I think she did very poorly how do you think you'll do in the debate coming up it's in a few days so I can't I can't wait for that boy I've done a lot of debating only as a politician I never debated my first debate was the Ros O'Donnell debate right the famous Rosie o' donnal debate the answer uh but I've done well with the bits I me I became president then the second time I got millions more votes I got the first time I was told if I got 63 million which is what I got the first time you you you would win you can't not win and I got millions of more votes than that and uh it's crazy because I'm pretty sure uh like year over year what how many what was like last I think every modern Republican has lost the um has lost uh the popular vote so it is I understand that we have a more complicated system than that but it is interesting that every Moder Republican loses the popular vote and they would only they only win because we have a system that doesn't actually give the people what they want so much we designate into districts that's fine but anyway yeah I'm pretty sure Hillary won the popular vote lost by a whisker but and look what happened to the world with all of the wars and all the problems and look what happened with inflation because inflation's just eating up our country uh yeah I mean that was part of the wars the inflation isn't as bad now it's still rough like let's you know but inflation I think is somewhat normal now it went up a lot because of especially the war in Russia because there are we do have a level of energy dependence onto them not full energy dependence like where we couldn't be self-sufficient but we do share some energy with them like you know gasoline and whatnot um and so that price goes up when there's a war with Russia like yeah unfortunate stuff man but this war or I mean it was going to happen anyway we got to support our allies so it is what it is brother eating it up so it's too bad but um there are a lot of things that could happen we have to get those Wars settled we have to get I'll tell you you have to get Ukraine done you that could end up in a third world war so could the Middle East doubtful so could the Middle East okay so maybe let's talk about what it takes to negotiate with somebody like Putin or or zalinski we just got to get on your knees Bud do you think Putin would be willing to give up any of the regions they already captured I don't know uh I can tell you that this all of this would have never happened and it would have been very easy because you don't have like that question wouldn't be asked you know that's a tougher question once that starts happening because he has taken over a lot of territory now I guess they're insurgents now too right so you know it's a little bit interesting uh that that's happening and that it can happen and it's interesting that Putin has uh allowed that to happen look that's one that should have should have never started we have to get it stopped Ukraine is being demolished they're they're destroying a great culture that's largely destroyed what do you think works better in those kinds of negotiations leverage of let's say friendship the carrot or the stick friendship or sort of the threat of using the economic and military power so it depends on who the person is it's you know it's everyone's different negotiate what if it's a My Little Pony character is friendship magic thank you for the small gut from IDK what the hell is that name ID k i m z i o n how how do you say that can you tell me how do you say that is interesting because it depends on who the person is I miss and then you have to guess or know through certain knowledge which is you know more important the car of the stick and with some people it's the stick and with some people it's the carrot I think the the stick probably is generally more successful and that you know we're talking about war but uh the kind of Destruction that we're witnessing now nobody's ever seen I mean it's it's a terrible thing no one he's ever seen that's crazy I just don't I don't think that's true and and we're witnessing it all over witnessing it in um in all parts of the world and a lot of things are going to get started look what's going on with China look at Japan they're starting to rearm now they're starting to rearm because China is getting you know taking over certain islands and um there's a lot of danger in the war right now in the world there's a lot of and there's a great possibility of World War III and we better I really don't think there's a great possibility of World War I I'm pretty sure this is just like pandering this is just this is just meant to scare you into voting for Trump get this thing done fast because there's a conflict in the Middle East every like two [ __ ] years 5 months with people like her and him he's checked out he just goes to the beach and thinks he looks good in a bathing suit which he doesn't he's sort of checked out hey look you know you can't blame him that was a coup they took it over they took over the presidential deal the whole presidential thing was taken over in a coup he had 14 million votes he had no votes not one and nobody thought it was going to be her nobody wanted it to be her she was why do I think that the baby Boer generation is in favor of trump um uh there's probably a few reasons I mean one like they're I mean I don't want to say like baby boomers are selfish but I kind of think that it's a little bit of part of it I mean they're not necessarily concerned with listen I I think that they don't care about people as much I mean they want to cut as many welfare program as they possibly can even though they've benefited from those programs growing up um and they're old and they don't give a [ __ ] really I don't think that they're thinking too much about their own grandkids I mean I don't really know Trump also speaks very um I I mean I would say plainly he's obnoxious and that resonates with some people and I think part of that is because people are tired of being sensitive and I can understand being a little tired of being overly sensitive so sure but I mean he's just an at a certain point he's not speaking any particular facts he's just being an obnoxious dick so a joke until 6 weeks ago when they said we're going to have to politically they felt they had to pick her and if they didn't pick her they thought they'd be a problem I don't know if that's right or not I actually don't think it's right but you know they they thought it was right and now immediately the Press comes to their aid if we can go back to China on negotiation how do we avoid war with China in the 21st century well there are ways now here's the problem if I tell you are we even close to a war with China right now like I don't understand do I just not know something you H and I'd love to do it but if I if I give you a plan like I have a very exacting plan how to stop Ukraine and Russia and I have a certain idea maybe not a plan but an idea for China because we do you know we're going we're in a lot of trouble they'll be in a lot of trouble too but we're in a lot of trouble but I can't give you those plans because if I give you those plans I'm not going to be able to use them they'll be very unsuccessful you know part of it surprise right but they won't be able to help us much so you have a plan of what to say to Putin yeah I know off no I had a very good relationship with him and I had a good relationship with zalinsky too but had a very good relationship with Putin tough topic but important you said lost by whisker I'm an independent I have a lot of friends who are independent many of whom like your policies uh which ones which what policies that of Trumps to they do you like I'm just curious like the fact that you're a dealmaker is he made what deal is he made what are we talking about like the fact that you can end Wars but they how what how what war what are you talking about didn't he like exacerbate tensions to the Middle East by declaring Jerusalem uh the [ __ ] was it the capital or whatever uh or moving the American Embassy there what are you talking about they are troubled by what happened in the 2020 election and um statements of about widespread fraud and this kind of stuff fake elector scheme what can you say to those independent voters to help them decide who to vote I think the fraud was on the other side I think the election was a fraud it wasn't a fraud and many people felt it was that only stupid people think it is fraud and they wanted answers and when you can't challenge an election you have to be able to challenge it otherwise you did challenge it and you lost no not a single person said that you had any credibility in your challenging of the election you were allowed to and you took a [ __ ] L it's going to get worse not better and there are lots of ways to solve this problem go to paper ballots do it the easy way I mean the paper ballots and you uh have voter ID and you have same day voting and you have proof of citizenship which is very important because well there no there are no non-citizens voting that's just Preposterous like idiots be just to be clear I'm fine with voter IDs just make IDs free there are some people they tend to be poorer that can't afford to get an ID because it's 50 bucks it can be expensive they can't afford to get there cuz they only have like one DMV um it's difficult to travel yeah so I'm cool with IDs make them all free for people who are citizens and then I'm 100% on board the voter ID issue but like it seems like that voter ID concept it seems to be targeted towards particular demographic so we have people voting that are not citizens they just came in there's nobody voting in um Federal elections that aren't citizens there are local election votes that are people who um are an American citizens right like but there are no federal elections that are being voted on uh by non-american citizens just to be clear and they're loading up the payrolls they're loading up everything they're putting students in schools they don't speak a word of English and they're taking the seats of people that are citizens of our country so I mean I agree we should deal with the problem of illegal immigration for sure I'm not going to say no to that but he's he's just fear-mongering what the [ __ ] is same day voting by the way I've never really heard of this you have to oh you can register to vote at the same day that you vote I don't really understand how that would help but okay oh uh look we have the worst Border in the history of the world we have coming into our country right now millions and millions of people at well a lot of most of those are legally coming in just to be clear but no we should still do something about illegal immigration levels that nobody's ever seen I don't believe any country's ever seen it and they would use sck Stones not to make it happen not to let it happen we don't we don't do anything and we have a person who is a bordar who now said she wasn't really the bordar but she was she was the Border but she was in charge of the border and we have her and she's saying very strongly oh I did such a good job she was horrible horrible the the harm she's done but we have people coming in from other countries all over the world not just South America and they're coming in from prisons and jails they're coming in from mental institutions and insane asylums I suppose some of them are yeah I don't know if it's all of them I think most of them are just trying to find a better life even if they don't qualify for the Asylum seeking process you know I mean uh probably the best idea would be to um get a lot more lawyers down there get these people through the system much quicker cuz one thing happens when they come over well some people just come over illegally but there are people who come here and they seek Asylum and um the process takes like two years or so and they'll usually they pretty much like they're like all right come back to the court at this time and then they just don't show up like 75% of the time I think the statistic is cu they're in the country now right so I definitely need to deal with the infrastructure better um probably lawyers that can hash this out much much much much more quickly but yeah I mean if you really want to decentivize um illegal immigrants coming here stop providing them jobs I mean the reality is is that illegal immigration is really good for business owners uh like Trump who my understanding is used to hire illegal immigrants but because they're cheap right and so if you know immigrants some people some illegal immigrants are coming here and take advantage of our welfare systems but there are some people that are coming here to take advantage of a job doing jobs frankly that no that citizens don't want to do in many instances um so if you cut off their ability to get a job you might see reduced immigrants coming here right so and they're Street criminals right off the street they take them and being given to our country drug dealers human traffickers we're destroying our country this is a sin what's been allowed to take place over the last four years we're destroying our country and we'll see how the country's been doing all right over the past four years just be clear that all works out but it's not even believable and now you see you saw in Aurora Colorado a group of very tough Young Thugs from Venezuela taking over big areas including buildings they're taking over building buildings they have their big rifles but they're taking over buildings we're not going to let this happen we're not going to let them destroy our country and you know when those countries crime is way down they're taking them out of their prisons which is good because good for them I do the same thing by the way if I ran one of those countries any country in the world I would make sure that America has every one of our prisoners every one of our criminals would be here I can't believe they're going so slowly but some aren't and but they all are doing it and we can't let that happen what the [ __ ] is he talk I'm just what the [ __ ] is rambling about I'm a little confused they're emptying out their prisons and their mental institutions into the United States of America we can't let that happen so a lot of I don't even I don't think I've ever heard that before my entire life I doubt that's true but okay people believe that there was some shady stuff that went on with the election whether it's uh media bias or big Tech but still the the claim of widespread fraud is the thing that bothers people well I don't focus on the past I focus on the future I mean I talk about how bad the economy is how bad inflation is how bad it's not that bad right now things like um which is important Afghanistan was in my opinion the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to just to be clear we use Trump's pull my understanding is we use Trump's like pullout plan for Afghanistan so it's a little funny that he's saying it's so embarrassing but okay our country and because of that I think Putin went in when he said how stupid we were Putin went in but it it was the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country I really believe that but you know we left we left 13 dead soldiers hey current inflation rate is 2.9 so it's not really that bad it's pretty in line think of it 13 dead soldiers many soldiers horrifically hurt with arms and legs and everything else gone um we left hostages behind we left Americans behind we left military equipment the likes of which nobody's ever left behind before billions and billions of dollars of equipment they're now selling the equipment they're one of the largest arm stealers in the world yeah that's not good and I'll agree and um very sad very sad and and you know we were there for a long time I was going to get out we were getting ready to get out then we got interrupted by the election but we would have been we got interrupted by the election what yeah that was a foreseeable event so I don't know how you got interrupted by the election like a popped out of nowhere that was his pullout plan just to be clear like a lot of things that happened in 2010 in the first year of any presidency a lot of the stuff that happens in that year can be attributed to the previous president so in many instances just to be clear but okay out with dignity and strength we they're usually using their um whatever their like Protocols are from like the the prior Administration so having very little problem with the Taliban when I was there because they knew it was going to be tough I dealt with Abdul Abdul was the leader and okay we got along fine he understood but you know they were shooting they were killing a lot of our people before I came down and when I got there I said I spoke to them I said can't do it don't do it anymore we went 18 months before this happened this horrible day happened we went 18 months and nobody was shot at or killed what do you think that was the car or the stick in that case in Afghanistan the sck definitely the the threat of military force that was the stick yeah it doesn't have to be but that was the stick well let me just Linger on the election a little a little bit more for this election it might be a close one what can we do to void the insanity in division of the previous election I don't think Trump has any interest in trying too avoid any Insanity of the election but okay whether you win or lose well he's not going to take a loss he didn't take a loss last time I don't know why you would assume that he would take a loss this time I hope it's not a close one I mean you know I don't know how people can vote for somebody that has destroyed our country I agree with that don't vote Trump the inflation the bad economy but the inflation is really not that bad the economy is fine it's nothing spectacular it's really not that bad but to me in a way the worst is what they've allowed to happen at our border where they've allowed okay millions of people I think that's his big thing as the Border people to come in here from places that you don't want to know about and I can't believe that that's going to be a closer election you know we're leading in the polls but and it is he I thought I thought almost guarantee you that Kamala is leading in the polls all I almost guarantee you that [ __ ] Harris is beating thought I could be wrong looks close but I think in the end it's not going to be a close election what do you think is the right yeah Kamala Harris is leading in the polls like what the [ __ ] I don't know talking about 49 to 46 but okay way to solve the immigration crisis is mass deportation one of the solutions you would think about well you've got to get the the criminals out of here fast right sure I don't know if you can really Mass Deport cuz once people come in to some degree we might get the pend on those people existing so I do think though that like reducing incentives for people for sure like yeah reduce welfare incentives for uh people who come here illegally I think that's a good idea reduce uh worker incentives for people who come here illegally go after the businesses that are hiring illegal immigrants that's like a big one um you know you don't necessarily have to deal with the people you just have to cut down the opportunities that exist here and people won't want to come here illegally anymore so that's really what it Wells down to yeah you know people from mental institutions you got to get them back into to their mental institution no country can afford what the [ __ ] is he talking about mental in I've never heard this before that people are are belong to mental institutions is this a new thing or this you know it's just too much money you look at what's happening in New York and Chicago and la and lots of places and you take a look at what's happening there's no country can afford this we can't afford it and we've got to get the bad ones out immediately and the rest have to be worked on you know it's happened before Dwight Eisenhower was sort of a moderate president moderate type person but he hated when he saw people boring into the country and they were nothing like now you know I probably got elected in 2016 because of the border and I told people what was Happ well I think that he got elected in 2016 because um more than anything else he promised to do things you know when it came to jobs disappearing because two technology Trump's like I'll bring him back and he did um you know he got by getting massive tax cuts and getting rid of Environmental Protections that are very important but he still may do on that promise you got to give him a little bit of credit for that I suppose even if it was bad in the long run but happing and they understood it and I won the election and I won the election I think because of the Border our border is 25 times worse right now than it was in 2016 wow 25 times worse I don't know if you could substantiate that I had it fixed to I had well I mean if then 2016 sorry 2016 that's nothing to do with you 2016 would have been Barack Obama like if the Border was low that would have been on Obama we just talked about about like usually the pre the you know the first year of uh of a president's or a president's first year is usually attributed to the previous president they will generally keep on their their fiscal policies and Etc so you're saying in 2016 I would think was going well that's Obama's territory what are you talking about and it the last week of my the famous chart that I put up was exactly that you know the chart when I looked to the right I and that's like one of their biggest things is like oh um Trump was getting [ __ ] for things that Obama was doing right when it came to like detaining people at the border um I don't know if Obama was as aggressive but he was pretty aggressive so like if that's your argument then how do you I don't know how do you contend with these two different things there's the chart being uh that was not a pleasant experience but the chart that I put up said and that was done by border patrol that was the lowest number that we've ever had come into our country in recorded history and we have to get it back to that again we will let me ask you about project 2025 so you've publicly said that you don't have any direct connection to nothing I know nothing about it yeah apparently it's a very extreme policy that's not good so and they know that too Democrats know that and I purposely haven't read it because I want to say to you I don't I have no idea what it's all about it's easier than saying I read it and you know all other things no same man I don't like reading either brother you know what maybe I will vote for you Trump trumpster purposely haven't read it and I've heard about it I've heard about things that are in there that I don't like and there are some things in there that everybody would like but there are things that uh I don't like at all and I think it's uh unfortunate that they put it out but it doesn't mean anything because it has nothing to do with me project 25 has it has absolutely nothing to do with me you posted recently about marijuana and uh that you're okay with it being legalized but it has to be done safely can you explain your policy there well I just put yeah there's there it is there's the policy out a paper and first like a lukewarm thing to do yeah for sure like it should be legal why not I mean if alcohol is legal then marijuana should be legal alcohol is much worse medical marijuana has been amazing it's been I I've had friends and I've had others and doctors telling me that it's been absolutely amazing the medical marijuana and we put out a statement that we can live with the marijuana it's got to be a certain age got to be a certain age to buy it it's got to be done in a very concerted lawful way and the way they're doing in Florida I think is going to be actually good it's going to be very good but it's got to be done in a good way it's got to be done in a clean way you go into some of these places like in New York it's all it smells all marijuana you can't the way you've got to have a system with is control and I think the way they've done it in Florida is very good okay do you know anything about psychedelics so I'm I'm not a drug guy but I recently did iasa what do you like hanging out with Joe Rogan doing [ __ ] psychedelics now yeah um and uh there's a lot of people that speak to sort of the health got 26 minutes into this [ __ ] thing and there's just no it's just like such a it's just a [ __ ] puff piece so far you're just jerking his little dingdong off benefits and the spiritual benefits of these different psychedelics I think uh we would probably have a better world if everybody in Congress took some mushrooms perhaps probably not but okay thanks Lex um I know you don't you stay away from all of that stuff um I I know also veterans use it for dealing with BTSD and all that kind of stuff so it's it's great and it's interesting that you're thinking about being more accepting of some of these drugs which don't just have a recreational purpose but uh well we're talking about marijuana not [ __ ] mushrooms there butd but okay a medical purpose a treatment purpose so we put out a statement today we're going to put out another one probably next week be more specific although I think it's pretty specific and we'll uh we'll see how that all goes that's a referendum coming up in some states but it's coming up and we'll see how it does I will say it's been very hard to Beat It you take a look at the numbers it's been very hard debated so I think it'll generally pass but you want to do it in a safe way speaking of marijuana let me ask you about my good friend Joe Rogan so you had a bit of tension with him so when he said nice things about RFK Jr I think you've uh you've said some not so nice things about Joe and I think that was a bit unfair and as a fan of Joe I would love to see you do his podcast because he is legit the greatest conversationalist in the world so what's what's the story behind that tension well I don't think there was any tension and doing right uh I've always liked him but I don't know him I mean I only see him when I walk into the arena with Dana and I shake his hand I see him there and I think he's good at what he does but I don't know about doing his podcast I mean I guess I do it but I haven't been asked and I'm not asking them you know I'm not asking anybody it sounds like a challenging negotiation situation no it's it's not it's not really a negotiation and he's sort of a liberal guy I guess you know from what I understand but he likes Kennedy this was before I found this out before Kennedy came in with us he's going to be great he's doing Bob's going to be great wait RFK is going in with that what a [ __ ] loser what the [ __ ] but I like that he likes Kennedy I do too you know is that real or is he just [ __ ] talking out of his ass what different kind of a guy but he's got some great things going and uh I think he's going to be Beyond politics I think he could be quite influential in taking care of some situations that you probably would agree should be taken care of the Joe Rogan post as an example i' would love to get your psychology uh about behind the tweets and the posts on Truth uh are you sometimes being intentionally provocative or are you just speaking your mind and are there times where you regret some of the truths you've posted yeah I do I mean but not that often honestly you know I do a lot of reposting the ones you get in trouble with are the repost because you find down deep they're into some group that uh you're not supposed to be reposting you don't even know if those groups are good bad or indiffer but the reposts are the ones that really get you in trouble when you do your own words it's sort of easier but the yeah cuz he hasn't gotten in trouble for his own words post go very quickly and if you're going to check every single little symbol and uh maybe you just stop reposting people and you stop [ __ ] posting on [ __ ] Twitter and you won't have this problem I know it's worked out that's one of the things that bothers people about Trump is that he it's not that he speaks his mind he's just an obnoxious prick they can't shut the [ __ ] up sometimes have some goddamn decorum well for me I tell you it's uh truth is very it's a transition team right now what could it possibly turn into a cabinet position interesting the [ __ ] powerful truth and it's my platform and it's been very powerful very very powerful goes everywhere I call my typewriter you know that's actually my typewriter what are you doing usually when you're composing a truth like are you chilling back on a couch couches beds drink and Diet Coke baby okay a lot of different things I mean like late at night and just I'd like to do some late at night you know I'm not a huge sleeper but whenever I do them you know past like 3:00 M they criticize you the next Trump was up truth thing okay Trump was truth thing at 3:00 in the morning and there should be no problem with that and then when you think about time zones how do they know that you're like you know in a time zone like an Eastern zone so but I imagine they have a decent idea of where you what state you live in what but every time I do it after like 2 or three o00 it's like why is he doing that but it's gotten um I mean you know the truth has become a very successful uh platform I don't think that that's true but okay and I like doing it and it goes everywhere as soon as I do it it goes everywhere the country seems more divided than ever yeah what can you do to help alleviate some of that division well you can get rid of these two people they're terrible they're terrible why how are they terrible Trump's been the most divisive president in like modern history what is he talking about I don't understand like I it's interesting that on one hand people will talk about how Joe Biden is like incapable of speech and then but then on the other hand talk about how divisive he is I mean you kind of have to pick one he can't even [ __ ] form a sentence what the [ __ ] you don't want to have them running this country they're not equipped to run a Joe just Joe well Joe's not running anymore so you can't really continuously use him I know you're upset that Joe Biden's not running because you had your entire campaign platform uh you know banking on it but it's a disaster okay okay and Kamala I think she'll end up being worse than him we'll see I think A lot's now you know the conventions over with and I I see I'm leading in just about all the polls now they had their little honeymoon period as they call it and we'll see how that all goes who knows for my personal opinion I think you you are your best when you're talking about a positive vision of the future versus criticizing the other side yeah that's all he does what what I think you have to criticize though I think I think they're nasty they came up with a story I like how we haven't gotten to like a single policy or idea that Trump wants it was I think the debates on for the 10th made up I have 26 W witnesses that nothing was said they don't want to hear about that like she lied on McDonald's she said that uh that she worked at McDonald's it's not a big lie but it's a big GL it's so you know I mean they just went and they checked this whole McDonald's thing is so weird because it we don't even like know if it's a lie she had mentioned she worked at McDonald's and then there was like a fake article that came out saying no she didn't we checked the databases but there's no database for McDonald's especially since the 95% of them are franchised it's just so stupid she probably did work for McDonald's like what does it matter that's what I'm talking about like what a weird lie to make if you're going to say it was a big lie for her to say that she worked at mdon when she didn't it's a big lie lie about her lying about working at McDonald's it's just so petty so stupid and unless she can show something they don't talk well you know all my friends like to pretend they used to work at McDonald's too man it's [ __ ] badass um but one of the worst was two days ago I went to Arlington at the request of people that lost their children they'll always be children to those people you understand that that's not politically incorrect thing to say the mother comes up I lost my child okay but you know the child is a soldier and lost a child because of Biden and because of Kamala why how is it because of Biden and Kamala just or Kamala I think it's why you pronounce it but though they had the gun in their hand because it was so badly handled it should have been done at bogram which is the Big Air Base it shouldn't have been done at a small little airport right in the middle of town where people stormed it uh it was a true disaster and they asked me if I'd come and celebrate with them three years three years they died three years ago and I said I'm going to try I got to know them because I brought them here actually one night they they almost all came here okay and they said I wonder if Trump will actually come and see us I heard they were here I came saw him and we stayed for like four hours listening to music up on a deck right upstairs beautiful and they were great people so they called me over the last couple of weeks and they said we're going to have reunion our threee reunion would you be able to come and it was very hard for me to do it logistically but I said I'll get it done and I got there and we had a beautiful time I didn't run away I didn't you know I didn't just walk in shake hands and walk out like people do and I wasn't looking at my watch like Joe Biden does and okay it was amazing so I did it for them I what what is I mean I've watched a few of Lex fredman's conversations this is by far the biggest pile of [ __ ] and it's funny cuz one of my favorites was his conversation with Ben shap her so it's not like I just [ __ ] hate conservatives blah blah blah blah blah like what the [ __ ] is this this is this is embarrassing this is just a [ __ ] psych this is just a babbling mess do for me I don't need the publicity I mean I get more publicity probably than anybody you would know that better than me but I think maybe more than anybody maybe more than anybody that's ever lived I don't know but I don't think anyone could have anymore every time you turn on television there's like nine different stories all on different topics and they're all about as an example you interview a lot of people good people successful people let's see how you do with this interview versus them okay I mean I can tell you right now you're going to get the highest numbers you've ever had by sometimes a factor of 10 but but um when a Gold Star Family asks me to come in and spend time with them and then they said sir we did a ceremony and then we went down to the graves which was quite a distance away they said Sarah would you come to the grave and then they said when we were there it's very sad actually because these people shouldn't have died they shouldn't have died they died because of Biden and because of Kamala I'm really happy that um he's honoring whatever this situation is truthfully and not constantly using it as a weapon to bludgeon his political opponent with like you got to respect the theorum here of trump he died because just like if they pulled the trigger okay now I don't know if that's controversial to say but I don't think it is Afghanistan was the most incompetently run operation I think I've get was your operation so just be clear ever seen military or otherwise they're incompetent but the families asked me if I'd go I did go then the family said could we have a picture at the tombstone of my son and we did son or daughter there was a daughter too and I took numerous pictures with the families I don't know if anybody else was in the pictures but they were mostly families I guess that was it and then I left I spent a lot of time with him then I left and I get home that night and I get a call that the Biden Administration with Cala is accusing me of using Arlington for publicity I was just the opposite I mean right now you're kind of proving that point no you won't shut the [ __ ] up you're just constantly talking about it as like an opportunity to attack your political opponents so OPP it just the opposite and and actually did you see it just came out the families actually put out a very strong statement defending me they said cool we asked him to be there what the [ __ ] politicians and the media can play those games and you're right your name gets a lot of use you're probably legit the most famous person in the world okay but on the previous thing in the spirit of unity you used to be a Democrat setting the politicians aside what do you respect most about people who lean left who are Democrats themselves or okay I guess this is the hardest hitting question we've got so far cool that persuasion progressives liberals and so on okay well look I respect the fact that everybody's in there and you know to a certain extent life is what you do while you're waiting to die so you might as well do a good job what I think in terms of what's Happening Now I think you know we we have a chance to save the country this country what the [ __ ] is this answer what do you respect about bling people well you know sometimes you got to do what you got to do and then sometimes you die and it's like oh okay is going down and I called it with Venezuela I called it with a lot of different countries and this country is going down if we don't win this election the election coming up on November 5th is the most important election this country has ever had okay CU if we don't win it I don't know that there'll be another election and it's going to be a communist country or CL yeah well the reason he doesn't know if it'll be another election is because he's going to try to overthrow this one too that's why there's a lot of people listening to this myself included that doesn't think that K is a communist uh well she's a Marxist what is she a Marxist what makes her a Marxist or a communist her her father's a Marxist and she's advoc usual you know she's advocating for some policies that are towards the direction of um Democratic socialism let's say but there's a lot of people that I mean I'm fine with robust welfare systems they're not bad long as they're done well who gives a [ __ ] kind of know the way government works and they say well none of those policies are going to actually come to reality it's just being used during the campaign to you know uh groceries are too expensive we need them cheaper so let's talk about price controls and that's never going to come to reality it could come to reality look I mean she came out with price control it's been tried like 121 different times at different places over the years and it's never worked once it it leads to Communism it leads to socialism it leads to having no food on the Shelf I mean it depends on what you're going to price control really like that's more than anything else how are you what are you going to do what's the price control are we talking about I'm not 100% familiar but like if you're trying to price control um like prescription drugs it's not really a bad thing so and it leads to tremendous inflation it's just bad idea whenever we use terms like communism for her and I don't know if you know this but some people call you a fascist yeah they do so I figure it's all right to call them a communist yeah they call me a lot worse than I call them they do indeed uh It's just sometimes it's interesting though they'll call me something that's Ser then I'll hit them back and they'll say isn't it terrible what Trump said I said wait a minute they just called me so I believe you have to fight fire with fire I believe they're very evil people these are evil people you know Goa evil people we have an enemy from the outside and we have an enemy from with and in my opinion the enemy from within a radical left lunatics and I think you have to fight back whenever there's a lot of fighting fire with fire it's too easy to forget that there's a middle of America that is uh that's moderate and kind of sees the good in both sides and just likes one side more than the other in terms of policies like I said there's a lot of people that like your policies that like what policies I'm not understanding your skill in being able to negotiate and end Wars and they don't see the the impending destruction of America you know we had no Wars when I was President that's a big thing not since 78 years has that happened but we had no Wars when I was President we defeated Isis but they were that was a war that was started that we weren't anywhere near defeating but think of it I had no Wars and Victor Orban the prime minister of Hungary said the world has to have Trump back because everybody was afraid of trump now that's what he said so I'm not using that term but I think they respected me but he said China was afraid Russia was afraid everybody was afraid and I I don't care what word they use probably that's even a better word if you want to know the truth but let's use the word respect they had respect for me they had respect for the country this is [ __ ] so boring this is like the dumbest interview I've ever seen it's like kids gloves it's just so stupid there's nothing going on here no real questions are being asked and then when there is a real nordstream 2 pipeline the Russian Pipeline nobody else could have done that I ended it it was done then Biden comes in and he gave it he approved it so we're defending Germany and these other countries for peanuts compared to what it's worth and they're paying the person we're defending them against billions and billions of dollars for energy I said how does that work and we had it out with them and it worked out good and they paid bill they paid hundreds of billions of dollars or you wouldn't even have a NATO right now you wouldn't have NATO if it wasn't for me as the leader of the United States you were the most powerful man in the world as you mentioned not only the most famous but the most powerful and if you become leader again you will have unprecedented power just on your own personal psychology what is that power do to you does it is there any threat of it corrupting how you well clearly it corrupts him he wouldn't give up the [ __ ] election that he lost so see the world no I don't think so look I've been there for four years uh I could have done a big number in Hillary Clinton I thought it looked terrible to take the president's wife and put her in prison well you wouldn't have been able to put her in prison so she's so lucky I I didn't do anything she's so lucky I don't know how he can go on cuz he's going to be like for prison for what the email [ __ ] I mean like you you were told to give documents back and 3 years later you still didn't who's the ones that's going to [ __ ] prison I don't really understand well he can't go to prison because the Supreme Court that he uh was able to get three justices in which is [ __ ] insane um you never should have been able to do that but uh they pretty much said that he's all good to go and he so he he's not going to get any he's not going to have any legal liability for any of this [ __ ] that he's done so Hillary is a lucky woman because I had a lot of people pushing me too they wanted to they wanted to see something but I had [ __ ] I I could have done something very bad I thought it looks so bad think of it you have the president of the United States and you also had secretary of state right she was but you're going to put the president's wife in prison and yet when I got out they you know they have all these hoaxes they're all hoaxes but they have all these dishonest hes just like they did in the past with Russia Russia Russia that was a hoax well we got 14 out of the Russia situation the [ __ ] are you talking about the 51 different uh you know agencies or agents that was a hoax the whole thing was a hoax the whole there was so many hoaxes and scams and but I didn't want to put her in jail and I didn't and explained it to people you know they say lock her up lock her up it doesn't we won I said we don't want to put her in jail we want to bring the country together I want to bring the country together you don't bring the country together by putting her in jail that's just just not true that he ever said that what is he talking about but then when I got out you know they went to work on me it's it's amazing and uh they suffer from massive Trump derangement syndrome TDS and I don't know if they it's curable from their standpoint a lot of people are very interested in footage of UFOs the the Pentagon has released a few uh videos and there's been anecdotal reports from fighter pilots so a lot of people want to know will you help push the Pentagon to release more footage which a lot of people claim is available oh what kind of a [ __ ] question who gives a [ __ ] about UFOs you have the president the former president of the United States and you're asking about UFOs this is so [ __ ] stupid oh yeah sure I'll do that I would do that I'd love to do that I have to do that but they also are pushing me on Kennedy really he's really pandering to the [ __ ] crazy crew that uh that just want to think everything's a conspiracy and that there are [ __ ] alien life forms out there it's crazy and I did release a lot but I people come to me and beg me not to do it but I'll be doing that very early on uh yeah no but I would do that there's a moment where you had some hesitation about Epstein releasing some of the documents on Epstein why the hesitation I don't think I I mean I'm not involved I never went to his Island um fortunately thought he was like what they were pretty close friends no but a lot of people did why do you think so many smart powerful people allowed him to get so close um he was a good salesman he was you know was a hailen hearty type of guy you ever sell you anything there Trump he had some nice assets that he'd throw around like Islands but a lot of big people went to that Island cool but fortunately I was not one of them it's just very strange for a lot of people that uh the list of clients that went to the island has not been made public yeah it's it's very interesting isn't it probably will be by the way probably so if you able to you'll be yeah certainly take a look at it now sounds like he doesn't want to release the lists and I'm assuming it's cuz he was there uh it doesn't mean that anybody who went there was you know trying to [ __ ] kids you know but it's very interesting he definitely is not going to release that list is interesting because it's so many years ago you know they do that for danger too because you know endangers certain people etc etc okay what people wouldn't those just be the people trying to [ __ ] kids it's interesting I mean he definitely was at that Island after listening to this Trump was definitely at that Island okay so Kennedy uh is very different from the Epstein thing but yeah I'd be inclined to do the Epstein I'd have no problem with it that's great to hear what gives you strength when you're getting attacked you're one of the most attacked people in the world I think you you can't you can't care that much I know people what are you talking about he's sitting friend who's very very successful and he's in his 80s mid mid 80s and he asked me the exact same question I said I turned it around I said well what about you he said I think about it every minute of every day and then a week later he called me to tell me something and he starts off the conversation by going ticktock ticktock this is a dark this is a dark person you know in a sense but was he supposed to go to heaven if you're good I think our country is missing a lot of religion I think it really was a much better place with relig is Trump really talking about how good the country was with religion like what what the [ __ ] is this guy talking about he doesn't have a religious bone in his body it's like [ __ ] prostitutes and [ __ ] what the [ __ ] it it was some it was almost a guide you know to a certain extent was a guide you want to be good to people without religion there's no real there are no guard rails I'd love to see us get back to religion more religion in this country cool well Mr President thank you for putting yourself out there and thank you for talking today look I I love the was that it holy [ __ ] what a is that really it there's like a 20 minutes off
