um you know first takeaway is obviously coacho has done an excellent job uh building a roster full of uh Big 10 players both by um athleticism physicality length um they do a great job playing complimentary football playing to their strengths and uh you know obviously lean on a big strong physical offensive line and you know an attacking and diverse defense and I think they'll you know be a team that that wins a lot of games this year um for rush I um think that when you go into a game uh playing an opponent of this caliber uh to achieve an upset you got to do just about everything right you got to hope they screwed up a little bit and neither those things happened um you know there were there were points in the game where we um you know move the ball you know efficiently probably not explosively um and got some stops and uh you know made some plays on special teams but uh not enough uh not with enough consistency and ultimately that's that's the end result you guys come here after playing Ohio State last week can you compare the two teams do you feel like they're similar level close level just how would you compare the two teams how how would I compare the two team Ruckers in Ohio State um I I think they're both talented I think they're both incredibly well coached I think they both play to their strengths and you know whether that's right wrong or a different I mean there's you know a million different ways to skin a cat and you know ultimately at the end of the day it's you know does it result and win so I don't and now I'm not trying to like cop out the question I I just don't you know I I don't I don't think that's probably a fair comparison to this point of the season after two games sure how do you look at it like I mean there's you were talking about doing some things well for a time but I mean like the things I guess drive you crazy are the delays of game I mean is that something that you just got to work harder on no I think we got obviously be smarter and uh you the message I gave to the team after the game was you know we got to identify the things that we did well the reasons why continue to work on them and improve and then the things that we did uh poorly and why and how could we fix those and there were certain things within the uh course of the game that we did poorly uh pre- snap penalties couple dumb undisciplined after the whistle penalties uh and not to mention you know fundamental technique and assignment errors but those are all within our control and don't have anything to do with the opponent so those are the things in these you know last two you know power fou games and then in addition to you know next one that's coming down the pike we got to figure out uh how much of what we did wrong is of our valtion and how much of it is based on you know you're playing a 6'8 350lb offensive tackle and you know probably one of the top running backs in the country and regardless of what the scheme is it's a physical mismatch so uh you know that's it we got to figure out the things that we did wrong and and what are the things that we can control and the things that we did wrong and what are the things that uh you know are outside of our control because it's know contingent upon our our level of opponent you you mentioned the running back what did you think of Kyle manong Guy having to defend him what makes him such a remember the kid of Villanova it was yeah Kevin I remember him from Florida I hope there's no more man guys left that's a fa say but uh yeah I mean I believe led to Big 10 in rushing last year if I'm not mist but uh big strong powerful back um you know the inside Zone scheme runs behind his pads um you know great uh you know ability to stick his foot in the ground and change direction but the thing he he's a he's he has um you know big back qualities and a small back body and uh you know you usually don't see that uh size of guy you know pushing the P ball pushing the pile forward and uh you know moving for positive yards like that but uh yeah he's a you know I've I've coached some good I've coached some pretty good ones over years and he he uh he he compares favorably to to a bunch of those guys when you look at these two games they sit there and worry about the number of injuries because it seemed like there was one Series where every play one of your guys went down yeah we we try to get the Giants tomor but they're so but yeah I mean when you have three power five games on the schedule that's a price poker so uh you know and then I told you guys we out of our control you know we can do about it so we're going to line up we're going to play and you know 60 Minutes no clock no scoreboard compete maximum effort 100% of the time and you know who we have left is who we have left that's not something they can control all they can control is how hard they play and if they get hurt playing a bigger opponent unfortunately that's the said that's a press poker and we'll deal with it and get people ready who are who are healthy I mean nobody likes being 0 and two but are you happy with what You' SE I'm I'm miserable I'm not like I have my record proud of coming here was 52 and 25 in five different championships five different school I'm not used to losing so I will never be dis and I'm not lashing out your question right it it is more I will never be happy with losing in any capacity to any opponent so we get that out of our head right now so am I happy with with this team's approach and how we're practicing and how hard we play and some of the plays we made against good opponents yes but no losing to me is absolutely miserable uh I hate and you know unfortunately you know that's where we are after two games and we're going to work our butts off to change it
