Houston Astros Shut Out The Orioles Ben Gamel Hits 2 RBI Singles Astros Postgame!!

yo what's going on guys this Houston Sports Talk back into the video today and today the Houston Astros beat the Baltimore Orioles 6 to zero great win for the Astros as they pick up the shutout very impressive game for the Astros I mean you know able to get a good amount of hits at eight hits also scored six runs arag Getti had a very very promising outing going six Innings and a very amazing debut for the new outfielder Ben gaml who was claimed just to days ago off of waivers from the New York Mets then just a couple hours ago was activated to the roster and was put in today's lineup at the six spot and he had a very impressive Houston Astros debut two for three with two RBI singles and a walk as well I I you couldn't ask for a better houon Astros debut and especially when he's playing a position where the Astros since Kyle Tucker has you know been injured it's been a very very very uh frustrating you know strugg struggle for the Astros at the right field position you know at times yes have they had morsy dubon play in right field and even though you know he's been pretty good recently if you look at you know up until like the last week or so or last 10 days duban was struggling offensively he's been picking it up recently duban he's been a lot better today not so much went 0 for four but uh duban recently in the last I bet you can you can probably say uh last you know 10 days maybe last seven or or eight or nine games dubon has been amazing but he was struggling for a while Chas McCormack has been terrible Trey kage has been a guy they put in right field as well he's been really bad obviously Joey L profo was an option for the Astros in right field but if you look at it before he was traded he was really struggling for the Astros uh in his last like seven or or last 10 games before he got traded to the Blue Jays when the Astros made that Kikuchi trade so there have been a lot of struggles at right field so for the Astros to pick somebody up and and you know and Ben Gamble and for him in his first game to have a performance like this against a great you know great team in Baltimore and a team you know that had their best pitcher on the mount today and Corbin Burns and you know Ben gaml who who's been a all right hitter in this last couple you know in the last couple years is was able to get two base hit knocks off of Corbin Burns to bring in two runs so I think you couldn't ask for a better debut for Ben gamls as a Houston Astro but yeah six to Zer is the final score eight hits for the Astros three for the Orioles I think the impressive thing is look yesterday in the 4 to1 loss against the Boston Red Sox it's not that the Astros weren't able to do anything offensively they were they were getting hits eight hits on one run today it's a completely different thing eight hits the same amount of hits as yesterday and you score six runs so uh today the difference was is the ashas were able to bring in runs when you know they had the opportunities to bring runs and that just wasn't the case yesterday it wasn't like one of those games where you only score one run and the hits are just not coming the ashers had eight hits yesterday they were hitting the ball good they just couldn't bring in any runs one error in this game and that goes to Baltimore uh the pit Corbin Burns which we will get to in just a minute the win goes to Spencer arag Getti another really good outing for the rookie 6 and 11 now six Innings he three hits zero in run six strikeouts one walk kind of ask for a better outing for spenzer arag Getti um I was a little bit doubtful about him I'm not going to lie I mean he's in his last three or four maybe five starts he's been fantastic his last outing was not as good as you know he's been doing recently um I think his last outing was in Tampa Bay if I'm not mistake or actually no his last outing was at home against the white socks and he really struggled against the white socks Luis Robert Jr was able to do a lot of damage on Spencer Eric Eddie and that really was the only reason he struggled on Friday Night Last Friday against the white socks um and it wasn't as good as his re you know previous two starts uh for the Astros against Boston where he had like 13 strikeouts and then the outing before was against the Tampa Bay raay with like 12 strikeouts and six Innings so his last two outings before the previous one and you know against Chicago and Houston were just very good for the Astros and then he really struggled in Houston against the White Soxs mainly against Luis Robert Jr and today that was totally different six Innings three hits coming up zero DRS six strikeouts one walk and uh arietti he's had some good road road outings a couple weeks ago in Boston he was fantastic he's had a couple of their solid you know Road outings as well but the main struggle for him this year as a rookie has been on the road if you look at home the stats are completely different at home than they are at Ro on the road the road him playing on the road this year and and you know big reason is because he's a rookie pitcher you know that's been it's been a struggle but recently he's been able to pitch better on the road so I was a little bit in doubt for him today going up against a great lineup like Baltimore and um also you know h being kind of back and forth on the road like recently we've been seeing is like he'll have one good out on the road and then the next one's not so good um but you know it was a good outing it really was I I wasn't expecting a like a a really bad outing for Spencer tonight I just thought it was going to be okay outing for him but not not what we saw six Innings three hits six strikeouts no runs given up only one walk and I thought I thought the impressive part was he was able to go out there and get six strikeouts the Oriols are a team that do not strike out often so her to go get six strikeouts in six Innings um that that's pretty good for a team that does you know facing a team that doesn't strike out a lot Corbin Burns does get the loss he's 12 and six on the year now he bits five and two3 g eight hits five runs two strikeouts I didn't expect him to get a lot of strikeouts tonight against the Astros lineup another team that doesn't really strike out a lot he gave it two walks scoring summer Jordan Alvarez would have a fourth inning RBI single to right Altuve scored it's 1 to zero then Ben gaml with RBI single to Center y Diaz scores and kartini to third it's two to zero so that was the first RBS single for Ben gaml and then the sixth inning Ben gaml with a RBS single to right Alvarez scored kartini to Third and it's three to zero and then in the sixth inning Jake Meers reach on a bunch single to pitcher gaml to Second karantini scored on throwing era by pitcher Burns and gaml to third um now Jake still did get the RBI for that and he gets a hit so that was that was it for Jake Myers day today um um now I want to you know as there's one more score scoring to go over Shay wit come in the sixth inning would then hit a single to Center uh gaml and Myers would score so it was a big sixth inning the as scored four runs in the sixth inning they scored two in the fourth and four in the sixth all right Astros hitting today Altuve after getting the day off went over for four today he did score a run because he had a fourth inning walk and Yan Alvarez brought him in that was it for Altuve bregman was the DH again for back-to-back games and he was one for four he had a ninth inning walk and a sixth inning single to left not a bad day for Brey Jan alvare went one for five today one for five day with a RBI single uh single to right that scored Altuve and that was it for yordon Chas McCormack could come in late in the game for him to play you know defensive use playing Left Field I don't mind that look um I don't want to see CH McCormick in the games you know you know as a starter and you know he terrible at bet but I don't mind the Astros putting him in a late game situation in the area of the seventh to 9th Inning when there's a good chance he's not going to get that bat and you know you put him in defensively instead of having Jordan on there you know Jordan out there right now with bregman being the DH Jordan hasn't yordon in the last two games is not you know has not you know been at DH and I think it's going to be interesting to see what the Astros do with that because I don't know how long the asers want to wait until they have bregman back at third so if you continue have bregman at the you know at DH that's yordon you know continuing to be at left field I know it's only two games like that but um he's been playing in left field a lot more recently and you know eventually if bregman just stays at the DH um y oran's just going to be playing Left Field so in a late game situation where the Astros have a lead like they did in this game I don't mind the Astros putting him in the eighth or ninth inning defensively and when you know he's not going to get at bat I actually like that move right there by the Astros um and Chas McCormack does have more speed than yordon um you know in you know in the Outfield so that is one thing to to think about yanner Diaz went one for four today um he did score one run as well single to left in the ninth in or sorry in the sixth inning a single to left Alvarez to Second and he did score run that inning um he he scored a run when um or actually no he scored he scored a run when gaml hit the fourth inning RBI single uh in the fourth inning the fourth inning he got on base because he he had a feeler Choice all right kartini was the catcher day with theer Diaz being at first base and kartini had a fourth inning single to right which was his only hit so another one for four day uh Ben gaml two for three he's the only hitter in this lineup today that had multiple hits so that that's kind of impressive and reached base three times single to Center for an RBI in his second at bat his first at bat he struck out swinging second at bat was a single to Center for an RBI that scored Diaz sixth inning was a single to right that scored Alvarez and the eighth inning was a walk so really good things Jake Myers went one for two day with scoring one run look I liked what I saw from Jake Myers today third inning walk uh fourth inning line out you had RBI in the sixth inning with a you know a bunt single and then in the eighth inning he reached base getting hit by pitch Shay whitcom was one for four today he had two RBI with his two RBI single which was in the sixth inning and but he did gr into double play in the third inning which is you know it it is what it is duban went over four today he grounded out twice and struck out once but I want to mention that duan's been playing really good in the last week or so um it it's about a little bit over a week and he went two for four or two for three yesterday so du Bon's been playing really good recently so it's just you know is it's his first off day in in a couple days SP arti already mention what Spencer arti did today with six Innings of work but Shan Dubin was in uh relief for him today pitched two innings G out two walks of two strikeouts and Caleb Ferguson would close out the ninth does give up a walk I believe to Austin Slater yeah to Austin Slater and uh then you know it was after that it was all it was all perfect for Caleb Ferguson and he gets the three outs nicely um so yeah good outing for the Astros great win also want to note that I mean look look this the the bottom of this lineup was great today and look at a lot a lot of times this year the six through nine hitters don't show up for the Astros but that was not the case today two for three for Ben gaml the six hitter one for two for Jake Myers who you know reached three times same thing for you know Ben gaml I mean the only two guys in the lineup to reach base three times today Shay Wick come went one for four two RB uh duban yes was 0 for four but if you look at the if you look at the lineup I mean um in total uh the the bottom of the lineup today in this game for the Astros they were uh I believe 4 for 13 4 for 13 from the bottom of the lineup uh batters six through nine with five of the six RBI scored two of the six runs and um had four of the eight hits so I think I don't think you could be very disappointed with the 6 through n headers today for the use in Astros let me know your thoughts on the Astros win in the comment section and peace out go Astros
