ready and action we were lucky to be right there with the gorgeous 61-year-old golden Bachelorette Joan vasos as she shot a new top secret promo for her upcoming season premiering September 4th it's crazy I'm here in La finally I've been anticipating this for about a month since I got announced and um finally here we're doing wardrobe fittings and I'm going to meet a bunch of handsome men in a couple days this is like being spoiled every morning instead of me getting up and having to put my makeup try to cover my wrinkle somebody else is doing it for me like I look way better than I do on a a daily basis married for 32 years Jan's late husband JN passed away from cancer in 2021 the school administrator is still shocked she's getting a second chance at love Jo I can't believe it chose me honestly I mean the first ever golden Bachelorette I remember when Trista was chosen as a first Bachelorette and she's like an icon so she's you know big shoes to um step into but I hope I do as well as she did and I hope I find love like she did I've met her several times at other Bachelor events and she and I have really connected in fact she talked to me about like the reason I left the golden baper and that she related so much to it as being a mom so like we kind of bonded I see you're holding on pretty tight do yeah fans of the golden Bachelor watch the concern mom abruptly quit the show just leaving Gary right after their first dat and I got a text this morning and I think I need to go home and be a mom my daughter was had just had a baby um I left after when the baby was 8 days old and she was having a tough time and um she sent me a text message saying I need my mom and there wasn't a question in my mind if she said she needed me I needed to leave and so I did and um it happened to be the morning after I had a date with Gary and we had had a good connection and we were you know happy about our date we had both had a really good time and both of them kind of woke up feeling really happy um about where it was going and then it was done I I left I it was not a question in my mind that I need to leave but I did feel like I had kind of Unfinished Business and on that note Gary and Theresa's failed F Monon marriage will not throw this romantic off course I have to say I learned a lot from them I mean I think they both dove into the process with both feet and I really respect that at this age that's kind of scary to do and they thought it was going to you know they had found their true love and when they discovered it wasn't perfect that they just decided to call it off and I mean both those things I kind of respect but I still believe in the process I see a lot of successful Bachelor couples and um I thought they were going to be one and because it didn't work is not really you know changing the way I feel about things Joan has four grown kids who are pulling for their mom but not really those steamy televised make out sessions so much the two um you know Nick and Ally are totally supportive they want me to find love but all of them including the other two who are a little cringey about me doing this on TV are all very nervous about the fantasy sweets and even like me just kissing men on TV they've never seen me kiss anybody but their father and they don't want their friends to see me kissing anybody on TV but they'll be all right I will do it in a um dignified way as much as I can this Class Act will meet her suitors within days and possibly the man who will change her life forever she has blonde bombshell Vibes and is trusting the show's producer will deliver her type tall dark and handsome that's what I was married to before so um energetic kind generous um loves kids loves their family like I love my family I know it's a tall order but I'm that's what I'm looking for and I'm not going to settle now Jan's biggest concern not being able to remember their names there's going to be a lot of guys you know coming out of those limousines I don't know how people do this Maverick is back there helping me packed but first this glammy grandma has priorities The Stylist has like 30 racks of close for me to try on which it sounds like work but it sounds like a whole lot of fun to me so I can't wait to try on the evening gowns and be super fun it's been like so much fun I feel like Cinderella [Music]
