well guys we do have some big updates on the 2024 college football season not only a lot of the start times announced but also this Northwestern situation that I have covered in previous videos with Ryan Field being demolished the new stadium going up on the exact same footprint the construction is going to take around two years so Northwestern will be playing their first five games at a Lakeside facility on campus this is the same area I discussed right next to the lake and you can see the new rendering on what the seating will look like now they will play five games here starting on August 31st they'll face Miami of Ohio on September 7th they'll host Duke on September 14th they'll host Eastern Illinois on October 1st Indiana will come in and then Wisconsin on the 17th for the people saying imagine you know this place in November the wind whipping off the lake they will not host any games in this location in November they will play their final two home games at Wrigley Field in November after MLB season has ended and the big premiere Game hosting Ohio State at Wrigley Field along with Illinois but it is kind of funny they've like detailed this this entire grandstand area they've got like details on everything so you can see the South structure semi-private Suites so it does look like they will have some sweets to these you know just temporary Grand stands they're putting up they're also gonna have Club seating and field Lounge tables along with South anchor seats as well that just looks like like a regular grand stand along with ledge seating on the west sideline and sideline seating as well it also looks like on the west sideline the Press Box is included on that side you do have the North Grand stands it's just an obnoxious wall of seating it's kind of funny it just looks weird but that is just kind of the standard Normie seating and then on the East sideline very little seating because they really can't fit anything in there with it being right next to the water so that is the configuration that's going on right now for Northwestern over the next two years it is going to be the weirdest stadium in college football and a little disappointing it is not going to be an NCAA 25 you could think they could add it in maybe at some point I I mean it wouldn't be a hard Stadium to make especially right along the lake you could play some snow games there I think it would be really cool and then imagine trying to expand the capacity I'm not even sure how you would do that you'd have to put the stands on the water or you could do it behind the end zones but just a very strange configuration I thought it was cool to just go over that and we do have a bunch of the start times for the future 2024 schedule so much is changing this year in college football I have to say I know people don't like realignment but guys I've been predicting college football games I think this you know three years so far and these are just amazing different matchups I know it's ridiculous some of these games the conferences but it's like every week There's non-conference games basically that's what it feels like because we're not used to these teams changing conferences and stuff uh but you can see CBS so yes they have are officially transitioning to only having big 10 games I mean what does that even mean Big 10 because technically Oregon's in the Big 10 now USC is in the Big 10 but yes they will only be having big 10 330 games they used to only have sec 330 games then last year they did kind of a Switcheroo where one week they'd have a 330 SEC game one week they'd have a big 10 game they don't have any rights to the SEC the SEC will be mainly controlled by ESPN ABC those ring of networks that's where the big games will go there very likely at least most of the big games ESPN has most of the rights to the SEC but you can see CBS coming out with their first few 330 games how about AK and Ohio State their first 3:30 game akan appearing on CBS very strange and and that game surprised me that game's even at 3:30 I thought that akan Ohio State game would for sure be be at noon that is the biggest point spread in week one Ohio state has opened 50 and a half Point favorites in that game they will also have UCLA at Hawaii so that's a 7:30 game I do think that game is at Hawaii by the way so that'll be a 3:30 Hawaiian start time or you know what is Hawaii 5 hours I think Hawaii is 5 hours behind Alaska's 4 hours Hawaii's 5 because Hawaii sometimes starts games at you know 11:59 Eastern which is 7 o'clock or you know Hawaiian Time so and then the next week you do have Iowa State vers Iowa so that rivalry game that game is always very lowc scoring that'll be a 3:30 game there I'm guessing Iowa's going to be hosting and then the next week they will have Notre Dame and Purdue so a little State rivalry that game in West Lafayette and they also will have Colorado and Colorado State oo that looks like it was a home and home then so that'll be an interesting game 7:30 start time there prime time and then the 21st that's a huge game for CBS it is USC and Michigan so I do believe Michigan they open the season with a 730 game against Fresno State week two they get the big noon game against Texas and then I think week four the 21st they host USC in the 330 window so those are just some games right there this is more information on CBS Marquee Big 10 matchups every Saturday at 3:30 which beginning with week five will be announced as part of a six or 12 Day selection process all three commander and Chiefs trophy games Navy Air Force Air Force Army and then the Army Navy game all on CBS a post Thanksgiving double header on Black Friday Minnesota and Wisconsin at noon and then Stanford and San Jose stayed at 4:00 in the afternoon noon on Black Friday and then CBS always does get the sunbowl as well and then we did get a bunch of SEC ESPN kickoff times you can see really the first day I mean we do technically have week zero but then the first day of week one will be on Thursday looks like Arkansas will be playing also Missouri facing an FCS team there how about Oklahoma hosting temple on Friday their first game in the SEC playing Friday kind of a weird start time on Saturday week one you do have Clemson in Georgia at noon I think everyone thought that game would be 3:30 on ABC but it's noon on ABC Clemson probably a top 15 team Georgia very likely going into that game ranked number one overall you do have Vanderbilt playing at home against Virginia Tech I like Virginia Tech this year I really do hopefully Virginia Virginia Tech wins that game I want them to be good this year and then how about Miami at Florida Saturday 3:30 game in the swamp going to be 95° you do also have Colorado State traveling to Texas so Colorado state they're at Texas and then they also play Colorado early in the season Alabama hosting Western Kentucky on ESPN Prime Time week one we would expect them obviously to win that game Notre Dame at A&M that is the ABC Prime Time week one game it's pretty sweet non-conference game for sure Notre Dame the favorites but that's a very tough place to play week W Riley Leonard making his debut there for Notre Dame and then you do also have the Sunday gam so week one college football not dealing with the NFL they always have a Sunday game and a Monday night game the Sunday game will be USC and LSU that game will be at a legion stadium in Vegas so you would think in terms of travel USC maybe a little bit of an advantage there really fun matchup breaking in two new quarterbacks both of those teams and then you do also have I guess oh this is week two some of the start times for week two California at alurn so they're continuing their second half of their home and home there South Florida at Alabama that's a home and home that's going to be completed this year and then you do have Tennessee vers NC State from Charlotte I would imagine that's at Bank of America Stadium NC State's gonna be that's going to be a good game because NC State's going to be good not a real big fan of neutral sight games especially at a stadium like Bank of America Stadium but it is what it is Tennessee Tech at Georgia 2 o'clock game what a random start time 2 o'clock Boston College at Missouri 12:45 why not just make it noon got of some random start times there Missouri supposedly has a very easy schedule this year probably going to go I'd say 10 and two maybe n and three uh you do also have some other games UTSA at Texas it always seems like UTSA faces Texas and then we also do have more games that have been scheduled George at Alabama not surprised at all 7:30 AB DC Prime Time huge game you do also have Florida Georgia world's biggest cocktail party of course that is 3:30 but it's on ABC now not CBS ABC not CBS oh and I forgot to say oh there it is Red River rivalry Texas Oklahoma 3:30 not noon that game is traditionally always on at noon maybe Ohio State and Michigan at some point make that change as well where it's kind of a traditional thing it's always got to be at noon but they've changed the start time to a better start time for everyone involved 3:30 I think that's a great start time for a game like that and that will be in early October and then you do have another interesting thing with Mississippi State and ol miss you know this is kind of sad to me I'm not going to lie maybe it's Nostalgia but they're not playing on Thanksgiving night and I just remember when you know I'd get home from my families you would have like the second half of the Cowboys game on and then the the old Miss Mississippi State game was always kind of irrelevant but it would be kind of on in the background and then the main NFL game that starts at 8 o'clock would be on but they're not doing that anymore apparently they they've switched it to Black Friday and now it's on at 3:30 on Black Friday which I think is a lot worse it might be better for Ratings though and then you also do have Georgia Tech and Georgia which is a a crappy rivalry at this point because of how great Georgia is and how bad Georgia Tech is but that game has been also been moved to Black Friday from Saturday and it's on at 7:30 and I would imagine Georgia Tech at Georgia has been getting bad ratings so they're trying to give it like a standalone spot for a rivalry game but yeah I would imagine Georgia would crush Georgia Tech especially at home and then the SEC Championship game will this year it's going to be on ABC the Big 10 championship game is going to be on CBS so there is a lot changing in terms of TV networks and then of course big noon comes into play and it's just so sad what's been going on with big noon so pen State takes on West Virginia at noon man West Virginia fans are pissed noon they're getting Penn State that's tough you want that game on at 7:30 but that's that's big noon for you Michigan hosting Texas at noon that's brutal if I was a Michigan fan I'd love to see that game on at 3:30 but it's on at noon because they have the rights to it and then week three Wisconsin getting screwed hosting Alabama with an 11: a.m Central game oh if you're Alabama you got to like that remember when Al Alabama's been helped by big noon a few times cuz back a few years ago when they traveled to Texas that was an 11:00 a.m. Central game as well and then when Alabama hosted Texas it was a night game although I guess it didn't really help them because they lost but uh yeah these noon games are tough man they really are but those are just some different start times guys that is going to do it for this video make sure you follow me on X link to that's always in the description
