welcome back everyone to our twomin drill I'm your host Gianna forbus here with pack Pride editor Corey Smith Corey I know we're a little ways away from football season but we got to talk about the 2024 NC State schedule now it looks a little different this year first NC State is going in week two to Charlotte to play Tennessee on the road at a neutral site but then in week four they have to head to death valley where All Dogs Go To Die to play Clemson what do you think about this football schedule what are your thoughts and how do you think NC State is going to do this year I mean this is a schedule that we're going to find out a lot about who this team is in September uh because as you mentioned those week two and week four games both played in September uh by September 21 NC State will have already played two top 25 opponents one at a neutral site one on the road in Tennessee and Clemson if you're able to win one of those two games that really sets you up for the remainder of the season to try to push for double- digit wins because the rest of the schedule for NC State now you love to win both by the way I'm not just saying like you want to win one or one of the two youd love to win both uh but you look at the rest of the schedule you know the non-conference schedule outside of Tennessee not great for NC State it gives them a chance to go at least three and one in non-conference play if not four- 0 and then you get Wake Forest and Syracuse at home those are two kind of weird games for NC State for the most part and then they go on the road to cow the one big long road trip they have to take in this season and then again you host Stanford you host Duke and then you get a break before you have to play Georgia Tech on the road before you go to UNCC the following week the breaks kind of work out for NC State where you have a buy before Georgia Tech and then you have nine days to prepare for UNCC at the end of the season so those are GNA be two of the tougher games at the end of the year for NC State and they really really get a chance to be able to kind of backend uh backload this schedule where they can get a bunch of wins and if they do that they'll be able to push themselves well inside the top 25 and potentially compete for an ACC Championship Game appearance
