College Football 2-minute warning and helmet communications is a missed opportunity to get it right

hey YouTube Rico NOS here going to talk to you guys about college football coming up this fall there's going to be some big changes and two of them that everybody's talking about is the two-minute warning and the helmet communication now the first thing I want to talk about is the two-minute warning it's a no-brainer the NFL has a two-minute warning let's emulate the NFL I'm not a big fan of that I like the college football game different I've always liked it different the clock stopping after first downs I've liked you know a number of things the the college football game had that was different from the NFL one foot instead of two I just like counting catches man I love it but two-minute warnings here what it really comes down to is another opportunity to sell commercials like that's it it's another opportunity to make money it's a money grab if you ask me and then there's the helmet communication I think this solves nothing I think it's dumb um in the NFL there's helmet communication if you guys have ever watched an NFL game maybe you don't know this so I'm going to let you know there is a helmet that has a radio in it so the coaches can talk to them and they designate designate that helmet with a green sticker If you ever see a green decal on the back of a helmet typically it's the quarterback the middle linebacker they have a green sticker on the back of their helmet you're only allowed to have one green sticker on the field at any given time or it's a penalty Now teams are aware of this they don't mess it up college teams might mess it up with the different packages and the different things but I want to say this I don't think it changes anything anything the difference between the NFL and college is the college does not huddle they don't huddle and they're still not going to huddle and that's why they have all those guys on the sidelines doing all the signals and they're doing the radio communications because they don't want people to steal signals anymore they want to kind of cut back on that right so you don't get to steal our signals anymore we're going to have radio communications we're going to tell the quarterback to play guess what they're still going to have to signal in the place cuz the quarterback is not going to be yelling and screaming at offensive lineman about their coverages or about their slide protections and whatnot not going to be yelling to the receivers about their route combinations that's going to be signaled in still so this does not cut down on anything in regards to calling the play unless college football was to give multiple players helmet Communications this solved nothing it's a lot of wasted energy because they're not going to huddle no way they have too many packages they have too many rotations this is not the NFL where you show up with only 40 guys on game day and that's who you play and that's that's what you rock with nobody's huddling period watch they're still going to signal in plays and great the the coach can talk to the quarterback it doesn't change a damn thing I think I think they missed uh college football should have did it differently they should have made three guys with helmet Communications one offensive lineman one wide receiver one one quarterback something like that preparing them and then you cut it down to one in the NFL something to that effect but just going and copying the NFL and not realizing that your way of calling plays in college is not conducive to huddling mm they don't do it and they're not going to I promise you your friends don't know but Rico knows peace y'all
