Ashley Renee Good morning and Good morning and happy Thursday. Hurricane Francine made landfall as a Category 2 storm in Terrebonne Parish at 5 pm Wednesday. Landfall was 30 miles SSW of Morgan City. Francine continued moving on a NE track. Francine exited the south Louisiana region during the overnight hours and is moving through south and central Mississippi. We'll see a gradual improvement in our weather conditions over the next day. Winds are still gusty this morning, but will eventually die down throughout today. Very light rain was still moving through the Greater Baton Rouge area this morning and we may have on and off light showers throughout the rest of today. This will be showers that are trailing on the backside of Francine. Skies will be mostly cloudy and highs will be in the low and mid 80s. Any remaining showers will move out of our area as Francine continues moving north. Winds will be calm and cloud cover will decrease. Skies will be mostly cloudy and becoming partly cloudy. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s. Skies will be partly sunny and becoming mostly sunny on Friday. Tomorrow will be a much better day to be outside. Highs will be in the mid and upper 80s. Dry weather continues for Saurday, but cloud coverage will increase some for Saturday. Sunday and Monday won't be completely dry days. There's a slight chance of showers for each day. Isolated showers are possible for Sunday and Monday afternoons. Rain chances are also slim for Tuesday. Highs will remain in the upper 80s to low 90s for this weekend and next week. Overnight lows will be in the low 70s. There aren't any other immediate tropical concerns for Louisiana, but we have three areas to monitor in the Atlantic; including one disturbance that is now a tropical depression. Thanks for watching.
