[Music] this is a community that remains on edge a policeman hunt for 32-year-old Joseph couch the suspect who is alleged to have shot at passing motorists from clifftop locations on an interstate highway near to the city of London Kentucky in all five people were shot the gun sales have went up in the past couple days which is a good thing Ben Parker operates a gun and porn shop in the city you have more people coming in looking to purchase firearms uh which rightfully so you know you need to be able to protect yourself in case he comes up shows up at your house investigators say couch purchased a semi-automatic rifle legally along with 1,000 rounds of ammunition Parker feels more focus on the suspect's mental health could have prevented the shooting you never know where this guy's mindset was at either it's to your discretion to be able to sell a firearm anyways so I think going forward maybe that needs to like tighten up just a tad you know if they look a little off or say some stuff you don't have to sell them the firearm the shooting also Illustrated the sense of community in the city Rachel Rogers works at the local honey restaurant there's a lot of people out on the streets you know pulling people in you know getting them off of the street just trying to keep every room Clos and it was just a um very chaotic people living and working in this area continue to be on high alert schools this week have been closed and until the suspect is apprehended the sense of unease is not going away away you know if he's shooting random people on the highway who says he's not going to shoot kids he don't know who he's shooting so it is better just to be safe and I I'm glad that my kids are at home there's definitely um a little bit of you know fear of course that he's not been caught yet I think that's um always going to P in the back of your head where he's at you know want closure so of course I feel like people are always going to have that fear authori believe the suspect is still located in the vast Daniel Boon National Forest Police warn finding him in such conditions will likely take time Dan Williams cgtn London Kentucky
